  1. Might I suggest you also compensate every account on the console version with a free account bound unsilenced Oca-Nano as a sweetener? I'm not a console player but that idea doesn't sound so bad to me.
  2. Okay well that’s unfortunate. in my case, I have about 15 total character across two Xbox accounts and a Playstation account. If I were to transfer everything (if I can) into ONE PC account, Im guessing I’d have to rename all my characters and lose the names they had? Would all my account bound purchases apply to my PC account? Do we get to keep all of our characters stats intact (playtime, kill count?). Will all of our Cash, JT, and G1C transfer aswell? If we do transfer, would all our console purchases also apply for loyalty rewards on PC? This news really blows for me because I spent a ton of money and time on this game and it hurts to see it go, but hopeful if we can transfer every single thing without losing anything in the process. I likely wont play too much on PC anyway since I cant play Keyboard and Mouse too well but hopefully we can go back to console in the future if that ever happens edit: Also I have a Gamersfirst account but play off a Steam account on PC that uses the same email, how do I know which account to transfer to?
  3. no account bound option makes you look scummy af also why is this vehicle listed under emotes lmao, literally no part of this release is bug free mind boggling fumble at the 1 yard line, if you'd just kept the car under wraps instead of trying (and failing) to distract the community from the stagnant roadmap you could have released a decent piece of content on your own time
  4. Hello Matt, I have a few questions regarding about all this. I've been a member of the console community since 2017 and I have been waiting for an update for over 5 years ever since you guys took control of APB, but kinda disappointed that it came down to this ending. Here are my following Questions: 1. Since I do have multiple accounts, is it possible for me to actually merge all of them into 1 GamersFirst account? I have around 5-6 Characters spread across my accounts and I wouldn't want to have 1 GamersFirst account for each Console account I've had. 2. Will we get some sort of compensation for this happening? I mean we are losing the platform we've been playing on. It was fair for you guys to not do something about this since we technically were 1 Engine Upgrade ahead of PC, while PC had the new content like newly released Weapons, the new car, clothing etc. But now that Console is being shut down what would we get once we first tune in on PC? 3. Personally I've spent more than 400$ on my account, buying account bound weapons and packs such as Juggernaut Pack, Revelations Pack, Key To The City Pack and even some Jokerboxes since they are still around there. I've read that there is some loyalty rewards thing going on, and would my spending count towards it? 4. I am also a symbol designer and sometimes make clothes too, if I switch to PC, would all of it go to PC without any issues or will there be a level of distortion and make me have to rework on the designs on my Avatar, Symbols and Vehicles. 5. Will we get the opportunity for us to get past event items/titles? Like I've pointed out before, we didn't get around 5-6 years worth of updates, so I'd like to know if we will be given the opportunity to get those. 6. Would there be a day where you guys would revive the game back on consoles, but with the new Generation Hardware? I mean it's obvious that I will get slandered on by whatever diehard PC player around here with them saying console is a mistake or whatever. But at the same time console is just more accessible to the community, while also giving the chance that others from there may spend a lot more compared to PC players, since you also said that "Console users spends as much if not more than PC players". I guess it'll take a lot of effort to do rerelease APB on Consoles, but at least there wouldn't be the same drawbacks you guys had with working on 2 different codebases, and would ultimately make the game available for everyone. That is all, I hope that ultimately everything would turn alright, only thing that we may appreciate is for you guys to turn on Voice Chat for one last time before it's all gone, I guess we deserve at least that while it lasts. Have a nice day
  5. First things first, massive thanks for breaking the silence and coming forward with an AMA stream (though I do understand the reasons behind the silence as described in the recent blogpost; again, my condolences, and I wish the best for the future). As for the actual questions I would have, trying not to repeat the ones I've already seen here: For all of the love I have for the game as a whole, I'm also eager to point out that APB's first time user experience (FTUE) is absolutely abysmal. The tutorial system is clunky and uninviting; some time ago I'd managed to get a friend of mine to give the game a shot and he said he found my advice a lot more comprehensible than the tutorial menu. I remember that plans to improve FTUE were already brought up in the past, but approximately speaking: how much of a priority is improving FTUE? One of the things from APB's past which I would actually say was a good idea is the Refer-a-Friend system... on a conceptual level. Its implementation left a lot to be desired, owing largely to the fact that the actual invited players saw no profit from the system and the inviter got to reap the full benefits, including some really good items to get as account-bound. Would LO be willing to reintroduce the Refer-a-Friend system in some shape or form at some point? Otherwise, are there any plans to encourage or incentivize players to recommend the game to others? The interface of the game is honestly a bit dated in various ways. Besides having mechanical issues (the UI running on both Scaleform and Kismet being probably the biggest one, but there's also the reliance on non-descriptive bars instead of exact values) I think it's also showing its age visually and aesthetically. Are there any plans to modernize or otherwise update the game's user interface? I think that's it from me. Looking forward to the Q&A!
  6. I grabbed it account bound. Got a Huntress out of a gold box as well so money wise it all worked out.
  7. Make it a 3 slot for 2,999 G1C (account bound) and I'll actually buy it.
  8. It's a one slot csg for close to 25$ for an account bound version and 20$ for a character version. Why would anyone want to buy this, most people are just going to put IR3 on it anyways? Seriously 1 open slot for 20$ when you can buy a version of the CSG that has the mods people will put on that gun for half that price. If it were a 3 slot csg for 20$ then maybe to someone it would be worth it. But for 90% of your player base 1 open slot does not justify 20$
  9. hmm. they gotta tackle the abuse somehow, that's right... but they should not give out usables / deployables, these should be permanent mods. I didn't think about people creating multiple accounts to farm login rewards, although that was pretty obvious... would be a shame if a daily login reward system would fail because of abusing... actually, make it so you have to play 1h in an action district (or complete 5 opposed missions). or, bound it completely to hours played instead of making it a daily thing...
  10. I see this as a great idea, account/character bound rewards, keeps people playing and is pretty balanced.
  11. Is annoying to send everytime back and forth, honestly. Would love to see smth like you have the same one in every single character (like account bound) but if/when you put one on auction the other duplicated one will disappear of course from the other characters. Also allowing multiple attachments via mail would be.. so awesome.
  12. Everything in it should be account bound as described, not so sure about the weapon camos but i believe that's their default skin on each wep which you can later modify with other skins.
  13. I'm trying to upgrade a character bound weapon to an account bound one but the weapon I want to upgrade is still showing a full price of 2.7k G1C, any fixes for this?
  14. Hey im here to spread TheMaoci word, cause this needs to be told, and solved So b4 you even start to buying weapon: - test it on another account using try weapon now - if you like to buy weapon buy it BUT ... 1. Go to ARMAS 2. Select proper weapon you want to buy 3. Click on Try it now (dont ask just click - it gives you 35% off from the price - tested on premium account, dont know how it will occur on non premium one) 4. a) now we can start buying weapon account bound (if u not want to cause any "bugs") 4. b) if we want 2 weapons of same kind(on one character - thats the key word) for example 2x OSCAR NFCP3 - so we bought an character bound weapon and after that (we can login to character retrive this weapon thats how i do this) bought account bound (with 73% off - because we have an character bound) 5. now we have cheaper weapon by 35% account bound OR gun cheaper by ~20% with second copy on one character PS thats TheMaoci Screenshot - he throw that "bug" to Matt a longer while ago FIX SOLUTION: - deleting auto send weapon to character mail - adding button with function send this item to character (if item was bought already) / you can check that by purchase history or characters inventory - 2 statements above will prevent from strange duping thing and will eventually adds an secure to player so if he accidently remove weapon from character he will not need to create support ticket to retrive that back ... I could say that adding more rewartd for loyality (in ARMAS) should be done im already pass 40k G1C like twice propably - maybe other boxes/weapons/skins to select ? ... will be great to see thats coming on (about skins just a "select one from a list" type)
  15. Would it be possible to change the subject line to be more descriptive for e-mailed weapons, vehicles, purchased items, etc? Currently it shows [purchase] and I think [rewards] (I'm at work and can't verify this right now) for when you get items from joker boxes and from other methods. The problem with this is that if you have lots of e-mails (I have 15 pages of emails), some from joker box purchases others from account weapons, etc I don't believe there is any quick and easy way to see if the weapon is a permanent item or how long of a lease it is (i.e. - 10, 30, 180 day lease). For permanent items, can we at least change the text to read [permanent] or something along those lines? And maybe add something to the body of the e-mail that tells you if the item is a permanent item, account or character bound, or a lease for x amount of days? Part of the problem is that when you buy a pack of joker boxes and open them, it does so in one action and you don't see what you get. You have to go back in to game and check the e-mails to see what you opened. And then you can't tell if it is permanent or leased without retrieving the item. Back in the day, when you opened joker boxes, it was one box at a time and it showed you on the same screen what you unboxed. Thoughts on the above? Merged. Also came across [gift] last night. Still, no way to know whether or not it is a perm item account wide, perm item character bound, or a lease of x amount of days without retrieving the item. If changing the subject line is too cumbersome, it would be super helpful if the body of the e-mail explained the length of time and whether or not it is character or account bound. For the subject line, I was thinking something like: [PERM, ACCT] [PERM, CHAR] [LEASE, 10 D] [LEASE, 30 D] [LEASE, 180 D] And, nothing fancy in the body of the email is needed as you can see what the item is in the subject line, as well as by clicking on the attachment (but not retrieving it), just something along the lines of: Permanent, Account bound Permanent, Character bound Lease, x days Anybody else have other subject line and email text naming suggestions on how to differentiate between permanent - account, permanent - character and leases?
  16. Akito

    a small problem

this is scarily accurate to my own situation, I would be like 15-20 minutes into a match and BOOM, instant disconnect. I've re-installed the game about 7 times this week along and still no fix, and as Ive said above Ive tested my connection (even reset it a few times) along with cleaning out junk from my system (even though its new lol I just wanted to make sure Im covering my basis), ive heard ppl also encounter this problem if they have steam overlay enabled but Ive already disabled steam while playing the game overall (my original account is bound to gamersfirst so i dont really need steam) I have no idea how to fix this lol
  17. Very late edit, just realized you asked about Armas, somehow I read Joker, my bad Off the top of my head AP45, 4x4 customizable with kits, NSSW (3slot), Atac (3slot), TAS/CSG, whatever has the option to be account bound, it's worth it. And avoid buying reskins or items that are given as loyalty awards
  18. R3ACT3M

    Weapon reskins.

I have a feeling LO might want to totally remove the armas. Make JT more mainstream. I like how the purchasing of them goes. You buy enough JT not only do you get a chance at a legendary but you can also spend enough to get a golden box that can yield some awesome goodies. Maybe make ARMAS simply an account bound only type deal, since that's the only stuff I buy there now Be kinda stupid to by a character bound gun since most are in the JT. (I know not all, like the norseman for example)
  19. Heading into the next topic on the list, 70% of participants feel strongly about the neglect that the Live game is receiving. The engine upgrade / 64Bit upgrade or whatever you want to call it nowadays has to happen, that much is clear, but the Live game has basically been in maintenance mode aside from what feels like yearly weapon balance for too long at this point. This doesn’t sit well with players and makes them feel as if Live has been completely abandoned in hopes that some sort of Engine upgrade will succeed in the near future. There are MANY issues the game is facing every day that could be fixed in todays engine and then ported over to whatever LO is hoping to build the games future on, things like making it so the out of bounds system only applies to players in a mission, account wide versions of the Criminal Nulander Pioneer or Enforcer Seiyo Espacio as well as a account wide Han Coywolf, things such as lowering the Rank restriction of R195 mods to somewhere around R80-85, a Inventory and Mail system overhaul, changing how inventory expansions work by setting a new baseline so every player has the same amount of space and it doesn’t differ from character to character, UI modernisations such as making the Weapon stats UI easier to understand instead of using outdated bars, account wide roles, balance of any kind. There are MANY things that can make the day to day gameplay of APB better while players wait for 64Bit, many of these things have to be done regardless, many even by the time 64Bit releases if LO wants to increase their chances of players sticking around making the whole thing a win-win situation for us the dedicated players still playing and those returning whenever 64Bit launches. “Once LO had to choose between working on the live game or working on the engine upgrade I was initially supportive of their decision to put all their eggs in the engine upgrade basket. It sounded like the new engine was just around the corner, and it seemed silly to change things once for the live client and then have to do it again for the new engine. As the delays began to pile up and the population continued to dwindle, the community continually asked for QoL changes; more weapon balance, new contacts, phasing, etc. At first, I did my best to defend LO, but it became harder and harder over time until I couldn't defend them at all. Once the engine upgrade was abandoned, QoL changes should have become a top priority. In the spirit of fairness, upgrading to 64bit does, I think, count as a QoL change. We can only hope this is the start of things getting back on track.” -Community Member Here is a document that lists many of these QoL changes that LO can do now that I myself together with the community have put together.
  20. We all know that this is a dead, old, and unloved game at this point, but there are some things that can be done to give it a second chance. If anyone at Little Orbit does find their way to this post (which I doubt), I beg you to at least try and implement these things, you really don’t have much to lose so what's the risk. The steps that will be listed below are not only meant to help the game before the completion of the engine update (if that ever happens lmao), but also to help “rebrand” this game as something actually new. Honestly, I have no clue how demanding many of these features and changes would be as I only have a limited experience in coding and 3D modeling. Nonetheless, I’ll attempt to order these from most important to least important. 1- Anti-Cheat: This is self explanatory, the game needs one. If Roblox devs can afford competent ones, I think LO can too. No excuses. 2- Joker Store Additions: Every weapon, clothing item, and vehicle (kits too) on the Armas Marketplace should be able to be purchased through the Joker Store as well. I don’t exactly understand why this wasn’t already implemented. 3- Permanent Weapons and Trading: All Weapons purchased on Armas Marketplace should be bound by account, whereas all weapons purchased through the Joker Store are bound by character. If someone owns a character permanent weapon purchased through Armas, it should be converted into an account based one. This will clear up any confusion and it's not like LO will be losing copious amounts of money in doing so. When it comes to trading, permanent weapons (both character and account based) should be able to be traded between players similar to clothing, symbols, etc. New players will finally have a fighting chance to get their hands on capable weapons without spending money and veterans can trade weapons they don’t want or use anymore. To help limit possible confusion, Account and Character permanent weapons will be distinguished in a way so it's obvious to players trading what they are acquiring. 4- Login Bonus: The simple addition of a daily login reward would be more than enough to have players at least get on the game more frequently. Other users such as imV have more in depth ideas on said topic and others. Go check out his posts, if nothing else. 5- Gun Game: Keep the Beacon map as permanent and have it exclusively as a gun game (both free-for-all and team deathmatch), and have it function similar to fight club. This is probably the easiest suggestion on the list as everything is already done, just need to get rid of the Christmas theme it currently has. The added bonus of this would be the fact that new players could try some of the weapons out in a combat environment. 6- Suggestions: Actually paying attention to the game suggestions forum, it's that easy. There are a lot of great ideas in here, far better than the ones in this post, that could realistically improve this game that are sadly neglected. For instance, just look at the clothing suggestions, that alone has more than enough content to bring people back.
  21. Schoolgirl and goth schoolgirl packs account bound for a limited time? I have multiple characters, 1399 per character is a bit steep. Could also make all guns 50% off, but that might be a little too dark.
  22. Well I assumed we had moved on from the removing the vehicle comment but i guess not. This issue comes down to griefing or removing player interaction. You either play GTA and play alone. Or you play apb and all the ups and downs that come with it. I agree that a passive mode would be nice at least while in missions. Additionally, New players/early rank players rarely spend money on a game. ( i work marketing for another game, so this isn't an assumption) While it is important to not abandon them. But its the curse of being really bad at a video game. If you cant get out of the worst of the worst in terms of servers. You are bound to have rerolls. As soon as people can get over the fact that "rerolls" will ALWAYS exist, be it in a free game or paid game. The sooner we can get into actually resolving issues for the other 99% of the player base. Short of going to their home and blowing up their computers/consoles and draining all of their money from their bank accounts to prevent a new pc and making all of their friends hate them to prevent them from loaning them their PC. Nothing will solve that issue so lets stop grasping at the straw-man case and deal with the majority.
  23. Heya, with the sale going on I ran into a small issue and I'd love some answers from other players that currently have character-bound weapons on their accounts. I know that we can purchase upgrades from character-bound weapons to account-wide ones, but I'm curious about two things: 1) What is the price of said upgrade? Is it the difference between the 2 prices? i.e char-bound costs 1500g1c, acc-wide 2000g1c resulting the upgrade price costing 500g1c? 2) Does it get affected by sales? The gun prices above are affected by the sale, they usually cost 3000/4000g1c respectively which would result the upgrade price = 1000g1c. Does this upgrade also get discounted when sales pop up? Thanks a bunch! Edit: Anaiis helped me out in-game and to answer my questions to other people maybe searching for this at a later date like I searched before making this thread: 1) If weapon costs 3500/4000 undiscounted, the difference will be 575. So the difference + a bit extra. 2) No, it does not get affected by sales. Which is a complete bummer for me. The 3500/4000 gun would be 1750/2000 now with the 50% discount. You'd still have to currently pay 575g1c even with the sale going on.
  24. Hi everybody! A week ago I asked a question on the social district ingame about the weapon account bound upgrade. Let me clear up the situation. I have 2 chars on my account, one is a crim, the other one is an enfo. I have a char bound weapon on the crim, and if i know it right, i should have the opportunity to upgrade this weapon from char bound to account bound. But i don't have this opportunity. On the social ingame they said that i know it right, and it should work. I tried everything, but i can't see the discounted price for the update on the Armas Marketplace. They told me that i should write a ticket to the support, and i did it. It was a week ago. I got no answer at all... Im so disappointed right now. I don't know its a bug or something on my account, or why i can't see the discount price to upgrade? Please help me to get a proper answer for this, cuz i don't know that its a bug or what. Thanks!
  25. i second this also add account bound clothing packs thx
