  1. As stated here: https://www.gamersfirst.com/apb/news/2020/1/20/hitting-the-road-map There will be balance passes in the future for vehicles. Here's a few suggestions that I'd personally like to see. Not all are necessarily "balance" suggestions, some are just to make them more fun to drive, or in one case to make the vehicle itself actually make sense. Sungnyemun Moirai Give it AWD like it originally had. Years ago G1 decided it was alright to remove the front drivetrain without taking into consideration that it would nearly cripple the reverse gear. Dolton Montane Make this one RWD. It makes absolutely no sense that a long bed pickup would be FWD. Don't get me wrong, they do exist, but they're very few and far between for a reason. Nulander Pioneer Give this one its old suspension back. Now it sits lower than intended and the front wheels clip through the fenders when you steer. Packer Vaquero The old handling was insane, but it was a lot more fun to drive. Currently it handles more like a lifted Mikro. Revert to original handling. Patriot Vegas It originally had suspension, now it just drives like it's on a solid axle. Give it some half decent, somewhat hard suspension. Revert the engine sound. Patriot Vegas 4x4 Don't touch the handling, speed or torque. These are what make it actually fun to drive. Reduce health a little bit to make it less tanky. Revert the engine sound. Balkan Ravan, Macchina Cosenza, Han Cellante Make their performance unique from each other. Currently they all handle pretty much the same and don't have any redeeming qualities. Also make the Han Cellante purchasable. You can't currently obtain it in any way and it was the original starter car pre-G1 Varzuga Rally Make a customizable & tradeable version available (possibly through the new contacts? 2-slot version from contacts and 3-slot from Armas?) "Faction Locked" Vehicles They're no longer locked behind a faction wall at this point so I see no reason that they need to be the same (I'm aware the Pioneer and Espacio are different) but the Vaquero and Mikro are pretty much the same, one is just bouncier, and the Jericho and Rapier perform pretty much exactly the same. The Jericho just has a little more grip when accelerating. I don't really have any suggestions for these four (other than reverting the Vaquero) but I feel like they should be tweaked to feel a little more different. Just a thought. Io Growl Raise the collision boxes on the bottom of the car slightly to make it a little more forgiving with curbs/small ledges so it doesn't get hung up so easily. Dolton Fresno This car seems good as is to be honest, maybe just reduce the repair time by a little bit. It's a big heavy road boat made for bullying other cars. It fits its niche. Balkan Kolva Return to its original stats. Way back when, they had suspension, weighed less, accelerated faster, and were able to be knocked over if you give them a good T bone with a Fresno or T-25. Sure it was easier to get speed to greif players, but they could also be put out of commission very easily. Currently if someone is griefing the only way to deal with them is to either box them in with another Kolva, or wedge a Mikro under it to flip it over which can be really hard to do. Back then you just had to hit them in the side with another somewhat heavy vehicle with a good amount of torque. Benkz Mhuller (I don't remember how to spell it lol) The Armored Van Fix wheel alignment. Currently it always pulls to the left. Increase Weight & Torque. When I look at these things with their bullbars and heavily armored exterior, I think "Hey that thing could plow through an intersection without any problems!". It could if it was just an intersection of Ciscos. Medium-Heavy vehicles stop this thing in its tracks. It doesn't have enough pushing power for what it is and is just over all very underwhelming to drive. I feel like it should be able to bully a Pioneer but that might be taking it a little far. Possibly Allow Passengers in rear (There are animations for it, feature just not implemented, was at one point but removed) Probably unbalanced. Charge Cisco (AKA "Hockey Puck") This thing gets bullied around way too easily and is pretty boring to drive. Add Weight Increase Torque to compensate and maintain its current acceleration speed. Increase tire grip. Despite being in the "top tier" of vehicles with the Vegas, The Cisco is very bland when it comes to handling. It's almost too stable and seems like it just kinda hovers. Suggested by M72_LAW: Move the Cisco's center of mass more towards the front of the vehicle. Charge Sentinel A car that nobody uses. Slower than the Kurai, but does handle a lot differently so matching the Kurai's speed wouldn't make it feel too samey. Increase Speed to 21.8 m/s Packer Ceresco Increase Speed to 20.5 m/s Make rear passengers able to move to rear doors (There are animations for it, feature just is not implemented) When in the back of the van Pressing A or D could make you lean out of the side, but pressing S could make you open the rear doors to shoot from. Seiyo Espacio Convert to AWD, tweak stats as needed afterwards. Might be overkill at first but it should be AWD regardless and should be rebalanced around that to properly compete with the Pioneer. Nulander Kurai Seems decent as is but could be a little better. Tighten the turning radius a little bit. Dolton Broadwing Increase Torque a little bit. Han Veo Increase top speed to 22 m/s Slightly increase weight and torque to compensate the weight gain Ambulance I don't have the stats to go off of with this thing, but I can tell from driving it that it feels way too light and airy. It's also FWD I believe, which just sucks in general. Convert to AWD Increase Weight and Torque Any car that I haven't mentioned I either forgot about or I think it's fine as is. All Vehicles Bring back the camera sway that G1 broke years ago without even knowing it existed *As an option that can be toggled for people who are prone to motion sickness* This feature gave an extra sense of speed that the current game is lacking and made APB feel more... alive? The camera used to bank to the sides as the vehicle turns, starts to shake very slightly and the FOV widens a little at higher speeds, and just in general hovers around a little bit while moving. APB is currently lacking a sense of speed which makes the driving look really slow and boring. G1 removed it by mistake and refused to acknowledge that it existed by saying that the videos provided were edited despite any video you watch from that time period having it. It's a subtle effect but it's there. Currently all that happens is the camera falls behind the car a little bit depending on speed. Other than that, it's completely static aside from being able to turn it. With the EMP grenades coming soon, that alone will be a big nerf to every vehicle, including the already useless ones, so I feel we need to come up with ways to make vehicles still fun to use. Prototype Districts for vehicles in Financial. Prototype District A with the above suggestions. And maybe a Prototype District B with all the original 2010 vehicle stats just for fun?

  3. Dear @MattScott , I got one suggestion I didn't see nowhere around forum, nor anybody talking about it. It is not a secret that there are few female hairstyles in APB that are commonly used more often, and some that are almost never used. From 30 hairstyles for females, almost 5-6 of them are with bald head, and variations of bald head. Now I know that for G1 it was easier to copy paste male hairstyles for women, but I personally think, nor I saw anyone using bald hairstyle for women in APB...like ever. Maybe few trolls with non serious account and characters. When bald head can be somewhat sexy when wore by men, for women its just a big no no irl, and therefore I doubt any of us would wear it online either. So I noticed, that there are actually some quite high quality ideas with girls hairstyles in APB, but they lack just that final small touch to make them really awesome! Best of all, that I truly believe would make it a lot easier for you guys and your developers and designers, is that you already got potential for awesome new hairstyles right now in the game. The only thing necessary would be to combine already existing hairstyle combinations into one hairstyle. For instance hairstyle number 6 has potential of very common in real life hairstyle girls wear, I am one of them, but the forehead revealing is just unrealistic and ugly. You could never see girl irl, at lest they are not in majority, who doesn't make her fringes on forehead when she already bothered letting her hair grow over the years to be that long. So in my opinion, you wouldn't have to lose much time and create some entirely new hairstyles, when you already got everything in your game, where you just need to combine already existing hair styles. Change the back of the head hair, or front and side of the hairstyle. I am not much good with the editing programs, but I managed to make a quick few examples of what I mean. I took female hairstyle number 3 (pony tail style) and hairstyle number 23 or 22 with two tails and combined their fringes with hairstyle number 6, and in my opinion it instantly looks way more different, way more cuter, way more attractive. So i hope you will at least consider this suggestion and have it on your mind when engine upgrade comes.   4. I'll take a shot as I haven't checked this in awhile. Where is there a "mix"? Let alone claiming the defensive suit is fine when it is easily the top tier armor for overall returns. Defense scales with every attacker, offense and healing cannot effect more than one target at a time minus Nano which has cooldown. Support doesn't actually effect "healing" if effects resource management, giving you more sustain for any/all forms of damage/healing. I don't disagree with the resistance tier needing to be reduced to Stage 3 (which was basically Dreadnaught Tier 3, same primary but stronger secondary/tertiary). And you completely missed the mark here and spin it in a strange manner. Support helm gets a much needed nerf Defensive suit sees no real boost as it's easily the strongest suit Offensive and Support suit get buffed to further the likelyhood of use. Offensive suit getting stamina regen only boosts "healing" if Staunch is used. It would more than likely benefit more offensive play with GT, DT, weapon skills, and otherwise which use stamina. Most healing is reflected through gamma which is not being suggested to Offensive. Support suit is only boosted by the amount debuffed on the Support helm. Again no healing boost, it's a sustain boost. Defense and Offense helm gain a much needed boost as well. Support helm loses regen which pushes back sustain on builds. Even with the stamina regeneration on a Offensive Suit of 20, this means every minute a Offensive Suit gains 125 (mobile) to 250 (stationary) stamina every minute. Due to the support helm's regeneration loss, which currently every player uses, they also lose 25 (mobile) to 50 (stationary) off their support helm. One could easily suggest toning down the stamina regen to say 15 to balance it out more. Even if you consider the Offensive Helm's regeneration suggestion. Even with the 125 to 250 stamina you get the following. (Over the course of an entire minute) One to three casts of "Staunch Wounds 6" for a total of 211 to 633 health. One to three casts of "Staunch Wounds 7" for a total of 256 to 768 health. Now if you say went "The stamina regeneration is too high, maybe lower it to 15 and helm to 5" New stamina regeneration is now 100 mobile and 200 stationary One to two casts of Staunch Wounds 6 for a total of 211 to 422 One of Staunch Wounds 7 for a total of 256 to 512. At no point does that compare to 120 dodge, 60 health, and 35 health regeneration between both defense suit/helm options. This translates to 22% dodge passive (almost a quarter off enemy critical and pen), 350 health every minute, and of course 60 health which you can easily allocate towards regeneration as an off-set on your augmentation weapon(s). Which all of these stats translate to straight EHP. Health regen is automatic, this will tick regardless of the situation and unlike healing does not have a % debuff. Health regeneration is also "free" sustain, no cost to the user. Dodge is absolutely massive in PVP if targeted by enemies with power or precision (tho obviously useless vs no power/precision builds with multiple armor cuts) Health directly translates to EHP, while only 60 that's still extra health you wouldn't have on the other two suits. The proc is easily superior as if you are being targeted in a group fight chances are you will have an armor cut, thus another buffer to offset incoming damage. So ya I can see tweaking the above regeneration to make the number more fair New regneration mobile : Offensive Suit/Helm only wins by 1 health New regeneration stationary : Full GT offensive wins by 22 every minute (If you stand still EVERY tick EVERY 6 seconds) Which the dodge passive alone will probably give the defensive suit the win for the critical hits and penetration it will block within the minute anyways) And yes even more of a "wall" of text. We'll factor in dodge vs 7% penetration & 23% critical build as it's not uncommon (141/141 with 150 GT aura unlocks prior to GT Suit/Helm) Def Suit/Helm (120) with 54 dodge & GT dodge aura : 41% dodge passive (224) 7% pen = 4% 23% crit = 13% If I need to explain beyond that then I can understand why you used to claim I had "100%" retoration heals Edit : Added 5 more regen to Defense Helm & Suit. This translates to another 60 health per minute giving it a clear lead even with the above complaint. (400 health every minute vs the previous suggestion of 350 vs the current 250)

  6. Currently, the district "Missions-Waterfront-2-US-East" is not located in US east. It is located in US west or Europe. The district server IP address's (205.220.229.82) geolocation is in California. The second to last hop (89.149.128.174) has multiple locations. Some sites show California, others show Germany. District latency shows about 71ms. I am located on the east coast. My normal latency is about 20ms to east servers.   7. Dunno if somebody already suggested a " debuff ", but if replacing it with something new is out of a picture, why not just add a " spotted " effect on their head? So basically if you go in the range of the car, you get a icon on your head like from a spotted mod. I mean, if we gonna " remove " radar, we also need to do something about spotter and flare gun or its just useless action. Like imagine you are going to liqueur shop past 22:00 and they tell you " sorry, we do not sale alcohol past 22:00 due country law, but if you go to our back entrance, you may find a bottle or two for cheap ".

Abridged version of of the Q&A for reference and for those who haven't got the time to watch it yet. I would encourage everyone to put aside 50 minutes for this at some point, it is worth it and Matt comes across very well in it, imo. Plus I might have completely misunderstood something. FF will be retained in the background, but will not be automatically banning. FF not tuned in APB for over a year because G1 couldn't pay for it. Matt can say from sitting in with support that there "unequivocally" were improper bans. "A majority" of the playerbase will be unbanned. The bulk of bans for cheating will be undone. This will not happen immediately, it will happen after Battleye is introduced. Bans will not be broadcast. Matt considers the practice toxic. Banned players can still post on forums whilst the ban policy is being worked out. Not clear if this is a permanent plan. @11:23 - Rough Roadmap First part will be "infrastructure": - New Support & Forums - New anti-cheat - New two-factor authentication Second part is "unification" - Bringing PC versions to Unreal 3.5 and unifying the PC & Console codebases. - Announcement on this in 1-2 weeks. - Unreal 4 is being worked on. No timescale was given on this. Third is dealing with critical mechanics. Fourth is 'minor' content patches. Clothing etc. Lastly 'major' content including a map. @16:36 - ARMAS / Microtransactions Matt does not consider APB pay 2 win, but there is a pay 2 win stigma. No plan to change the fundemental economic model of the game. Matt would personally like to bring the ARMAS pricing down. He thinks the excessive prices could contribute to the p2w stigma. Considering putting some current ARMAS-only items into contact progression. @ 19:26 - New Code of Conduct (nekkidness!!!) Greater GM presence. Wants it to be interactive rather than policing per se. No place for nudity in APB No hate & racically inappropriate symbols to be allowed either @22:03 - Dethreating / Threat System Threat considered part of the 'critical mechanics' to be dealt with. Needs to be reworked or possibly rebuilt from scratch. Matt finds the ability to track your matchmaking level / progress over a short time problematic.   13. Advanced Launcher allows you to make the game look great with actually good fps. If you need help with setting certain things to make the game look great and run great, I can help you out with what to use, what sliders to set, etc. On Vanilla with everything off and set to the lowest settings, at 1920x1080, I was getting 20-22 fps. Game looked like shit and ran even worse than it looked. With Advanced Launcher using my own custom settings, a LOT of stuff are off and set to minimum whilst things such as player textures, world textures, vehicle textures, weapon textures are all maxed out, and I'm getting 100+ fps usually, never dipping below 60 fps on intense scenes. I really didn't think the Advanced Launcher would change APB much in terms of performance without making the game look like potato, but this game is so poorly optimised i decided to try it out and it's beyond amazing. I have no idea how it manages to do it, what it turns off to make the game jump from 20 fps to 100+ fps, while looking better than Vanilla. But it does it. And I don't have a state of the art PC either; I'm running a GTX 670, i5-4460, 8GB RAM. So mid-range let's say. And getting 100+ fps (60+ MINIMUM) on an extremely unoptimised game while making it look great. In fact, have a look for yourself and tell me what you think: The game looks better than in the screenshots as you can imagine, since the screenshots by shadowplay get compressed and get artificial loss, which you can see by the pixelation of the /FPS window on the right side of the screen; it's obviously nowhere near that blurry / pixelated, so it looks better but still decent in the screenshots i'd say, by my standards, taking into consideration it's a 8 year-old game, from 2010/2011. Regarding resolutions, I want my game to look good and feel good, personally I don't care about some dodgy and questionable "advantage", no resolution will give you magical skill, you either have it or you don't. That's how i see it. And at 1080p the game looks great. BTW: Please, if someone actually knows the forum name/profile on this new forum of the guy who made it, @ him for me, so I can personally thank him.   14. It may be an 8 year old game from 2010, but to most people's surprise in 2010 the graphics and artstyle were pretty nice, but G1 mucked it up over the years. More importantly I think you're lying about getting 20-22 fps while on vanilla low. My system is running a GTX 760 and an I5-4440 with 8 GB of RAM and I can run the game in a 70-90 fps range on vanilla maximum settings. Your GTX 670 should be better than my card. I know this because a friend of mine has a 670 and he gets better frame rate in games than I do. Also the same can be said for you cpu which should also be better than mine. We both have the same amount of ram too, so unless there's some other factor affecting it which you don't know about, I think you're lying.
  15. All, Good evening. As some of you may have seen from this post here, I had an issue with missing legendaries from my account being compromised. This post is an update and hopefully some sort of hope with your unresolved tickets. For those of you who didn't click the link above, my account was accessed from Vietnam on 4-12-17. I obviously don't live there. I didn't even know the date the issue occurred until this new ticket. I sent in a ticket the first time I logged in after that had happened on 7-22-17. My ticket then was basically ignored by Puck. I made another ticket in October after I tracked down all of my purchases all the way back to December of 2012. Again nothing was done. Fast forward to 5-26-18 and I created yet a new ticket. I lost over a dozen legendaries and around 17 mil between my characters. No modifications, cars, etc were ever affected. Support and I have had 34 messages back and forth over the past month. This brings us to today. I just received two legendaries (my Yukon and Ursus) out of all the things I was missing. You can see the screenshot here. I could only tell you 6 legendaries I know for a fact had at this point. But the two I wanted back I made a compromise with support for. Since the information they keep on hand is currently only 3 months (!), Selali and I came to a compromise that I would receive 2 non-tradable legendary weapons, which you can see in the picture that I finally received today. All in all, this is finally over. The new support is here to help, so give it time. It may have taken me multiple escalations and five weeks to get an acceptable resolution, but here I stand happy and content. Be respectful and you'll get some help. Dixie, if you're out there reading this, I'm sorry you aren't around to help us anymore, but you actually did try to do stuff to help me as well, and for that I thank you.   16. Hi everyone, Little Orbit has published 22 titles since 2010, and about half were developed in-house under studios we own. The other half were done with 3rd party devs. Right now we are working on 4 titles - all of which are in different stages of development. We are not looking at anything new for a little while. These are getting 100% of our focus. - APB which is split between supporting the last changes in Unreal 3, finishing Unreal 3.5, and initial work on Unreal 4. This is being handled by a combination of teams both internal and external. We absorbed the devs from Reloaded and have added to that team. - Fallen Earth is a server and client port with no source art. Right now this being done internally, but its all pre-production and exploratory. - Unsung Story has been a combination of external and internal, but we are in the process of shifting everything internal and expanding that team. Engineering is very far along, but art has been running behind. - Descent is being done externally and is nearly done. That title comes out this Fall. Each project has their own ‘rescue’ element, where we came in to help finish. I guess that has been our unofficial business model since 2017. Thanks, Matt

  18. Little annoying things everyone knows, that should be fixed or added. 1. Indestructible lamp posts 2. Not being able to see name tags through [big destructible] gates. 3. Hijacking AI vehicles will leave the AI drivers just standing in the middle of the road until they disappear. 4. You can not walk through pedestrians. You should be able to push them aside instead of them blockning you completely. 5. If an AI vehicle is hit and moves out of its driving path, it will just stop forever rather than correct its position and continue. 6. Sometimes when you run next to another player in your team or the opposite team, or AI, your movements will no longer be smooth and you start to kind off "lag" when you run. 7. At some doors there is a small gap where you can throw grenades through, or even shoot through. 8. Rocket launchers will sometimes fire the rockets in the wrong direction. 9. Sometimes when rockets hits the enemy directly on the body, they will take less damage. 9. Driving over a placed shield will sometimes make the car go flying (even though it could be fun at times ). 11. AI vehicles can sometimes kill you if they hit you (cause of death: Suicide). Or you can turn it around and say that AI vehicles can not kill you at all even if they run you over at full speed. 12. AI vehicles will sometimes not stop when you shoot at them. 13. Sometimes you are not being able to enter a mailbox, car spawn, ammunition supply, ammunition stations or similar even if you are standing right next to it. 14. You can not delete all mails at once. If you want to delete everything in your mail box you have to click on each individual one. 15. Sometimes you are not able to see the time remaining on your arrest (criminals). 16. Sometimes when you run with e.g EOL, Oscar, Volcano and more, at the same time you're firing, the action gets canceled and the weapon will stop shooting. 17. "Out of bounds" at places which you can get to easily and should really not be out of bounds. 18. If AI pedestrians are scared, they will sometimes walk straight through a wall or a door and magically disappear. 19. Sometimes when you are driving up against a wall, your vehicle will crash or explode like it hit something invincible. Same with the train carts in Baylan fight club. 20. At certain places you can see name tags through walls. 21. When districts are full, you have to spam to get in. There is no queue system. 22. You can e.g use the mouse wheel to shoot "faster". Aka macro players. 23. Destroyed items and dead AI pedestrians aren't synchronized between players and will therefore be at different places etc. 24. You can not take damage by fire. 25. Windows on vehicles and in general can not be cracked or destroyed by impacts or gunshots. Only certain store fronts will do this. 26. Headlights on vehicles does not work. * 27. Bad day/night cycle. The night is not that dark. * 28. No dynamic weather cycle. (I want snow on Christmas please ) * 29. Doors on cars can not stay open. * Probably has to do with the engine.

Mail update will make it selectable for what mails to delete or all of them etc.....not sure if update for engine is needed or not first however willing to bet engine update will make it smoother regardless. 15. yes this happens makes it difficult to plan this accordingly for people - not sure why it happens yet. 16. yes this happens at times no idea why yet. 17. out of bounds had a lot of bug at first and clearly not all were found..... G1 made out of bounds to prevent glitching the objective items so fair play can happen. 18. at least they're out of my way running to me is annoying when i shot at them first. now THAT is annoying. 19. has to do with a indestructible object glitch. no idea how to fix this yet. 20. this was mentioned by people on what causes it like the mailboxes doing it..... but its been happening by different means apparently and they only found one of the ways it happens so far. 21. absolutely needs a system update for this 22. tested this before to see if this exploit rumor is true so I could report it if it does.... it does not work for me. 23. yes a synch needs to be done for things it makes navigation by mic to our teams a little harder because of it 24. needs an update for behavior etc so that this would be done..... more immersion would make APB more enjoyable. 25. how i would love to be able to have destroyable windows after 2 or 3 shots......immersion would cause a strategy and skill needed and would be awesome for gameplay with this. 26. yes needs a update for immersion....... would make seeing movement at night interesting. would love this. 27. has to do with how g1 "optimized" for low end computers. the old graphics were so much better and night was night ... miss it.....needs update after engine 28. "WE" want snow for christmas..... and rain...and slick roads for ice/rain...... immersion and skill driving would be funner then. other games have had these and they're fun for it. 29. would love to be able to jump out when fighting and not have a shut door so i can jump back in...... immersion needed so APB feels more alive.

You're creating a catch-22 situation here. You're not reporting issues because supposedly the support team isn't doing anything about it. The support team isn't doing anything because supposedly they're not looking into the issues. They're not looking into these issues because you're not reporting them. Do you see the flawed logic here? Please try to bring actual arguments that you can support with factual evidence and try not to hide behind the "anyone who disagrees is an idiot" card if you want to be treated seriously. Cheers. 1) Good job on trying to imply that the man himself is personally responsible for things you don't like. 2) You do realize that the average APB player is accusatory and confrontational, and the vast majority of complaints concerning other players boil down to "i don't like this guy" or "i think hes cheating", right? 3) I'm sincerely sorry that you're angry about LO not doing everything RIGHT NOW AT LIGHT SPEED FOR FUCK'S SAKE. They're already swamped with thousands of support tickets and they're trying to help each and every person with their issue in the game. 3.5) Why do you consider tickets about certain issues to be more important than others? 4) Pray tell, how many people would you want hired across all servers and matching all timezones so that there's always someone in every instance responding to each and every complaint by the players, no matter how slight or objectively irrelevant? 5) Since you're such a sweetheart and you've stated that , then please, enlighten us all: what is stopping people from submitting their tickets as "ToS violation" to get on the fast lane? Another defeatist and accusatory thread that ultimately does nothing but inconvenience LO by stirring up player dissatisfaction through pushing empty lines of hatred. You could be doing something useful with your time. You could be helping new players find their way in the game. You could be understanding towards LO and think for a minute about how much work they're swamped with right now. But I suppose creating this thread took precedence over that.
