  1. The concession we had to make to get G1 to implement the account-bound upgrade feature (it wasn't always an option) was that the upgrade would cost the difference plus a percentage fee on top of it (IIRC it's 20%, but it's been years since the discussions about this went down). Be glad that you even have the option for it at all... although it would be nice if LO could be the better company and remove that fee.
  2. First off, why in the world are you factoring in paypal bonuses? Second, you're talking about buying a Shredder 3-Slot character bound when it's currently cheaper account bound (Character isn't 50% off, but all guns are 50% off Account.) Yes, if you had said up-front that you were basically going out of your way to find items that aren't 50% off and buying those, then it's going to be cheaper to buy them later, but it would be better if you bought everything you want that's 50% off now, and then bought anything that's glitched and not on sale later. If you weren't buying the one gun that's glitched then during the sale it would total to 6,600G1c, or $82.50, as opposed to ~$85.78 after the sale. Third, you realize that all of your math lined up perfectly with everything I said, right? Not what you said?
  3. You know what you're right, after rethinking again, yes the Nano is not special, it just happens to be a good secondary for people with horrible ping so you can just spam spray it. But the Ursus, I feel like it's dead accurate on its first shot, and the increased damage makes a difference against players with fragile or when you wanna finish someone off with your secondary after dealing some damage. That's why the Ursus is in such high demand, because if it was for looks/sounds it wouldn't have been worth 100k in the MP.. And I can see the solution you're proposing to be the ideal case, but there would be 3 problems with that. Previous buyers of weapons would give LO sh*t for that. The MP would be nearly rendered useless, as weapon trade is the most used feature of the MP. Current owners of the weapons already transferred the weapons they needed for the character they're maining for the time being, so an account-bound version wouldn't be much of a compensations for them. I think it needs more thinking to find the least destructive solution because there will always be an angry mob after each change, including better cheat detection or an engine upgrade (lol as if it will every come before this game is dead)...
  4. Are these the quotes you are referring to? I can't say I disagree with Matt, new players to APB face a number of considerable hurdles towards being able to compete with long standing players, and the progression system is definitely one of them. When we think that some very useful mods such as High Burn Point Fuel or Valzipram are locked away at a fairly high level requirement (Especially for non premium players), there certainly is a case to be made that new players are at a significant disadvantage. This is especially true for weapon mods for example, where if you are a player with no friends in the game, you would need to either grind out the necessary role to then have the chance to buy the modification, or purchase it for an inflated price on the marketplace (Which may not be obvious to do in the first place). I believe Matt's thinking is probably more in line with the changes made to the Joker Store, which was essentially making a wider variety of weapons more accessible to more players. APB has always had an uncomfortable design when it comes to player progression as a result of its unfocused development. On the one hand, we like to believe that an experienced player on a new character would still be able to fight just as effectively, but on the other they also have the benefit of being able to send mods over from other characters and have the knowledge that shiny gold guns don't make you win. If we're not going to restrict matchmaking by character level, then we need to ensure that more players are on the same playing field. This is without going into the mess of the unfinished merging of player characters. By this I mean almost 10 years ago now they decided to make threat account bound instead of character bound, yet still we have very few account bound facilities (Such as symbol storage or shared bank accounts). I don't believe the kill requirements for the Chrome skin are going anywhere, but it's important for more experienced players of APB to not dismiss these ideas. You may say the game will crumble by changing progression, but how can we expect APB to survive without new players?
  5. so you telling me people would waste more money on joker box for Jts instead of actually buying account bound weapon? it didn't affect me one bit. btw kids don't have money. if they use parents credit card they be dead.
  6. Few years ago I got Kissaki kit for one of my accounts in this case my enforcer character, as a reward (don't remember what was the occasion) but didn't activated it because I realized really quick that enforcers still don't have a Bishada as a unlockable car. So I asked back then G1 what is the deal with that and as in most cases back then I didn't got any answer or the answer was completely irrelevant or simply link to the armas shop which also is useless pretty much because this variation wasn't available in armas and far as I checked it still isn't. This is coming from the darkest age of APB where support pretty much didn't exist. So this is sitting on my account for years and now dug it out again and I wonder if I can do something with it or kiss it goodbye. Same question applies for other cars that are restricted and many people got these random kits but not sure about the cars. Some got the cars with it some didn't and if a enfo can't get a bishada or a crim cant get a V20 then what is the point getting the kits for the opposing faction. It would be great if we get a car that we can modify and then sell it or gift it. If it's locked character bound then in this case this is completely useless and I wish we got something else instead as rewards. Also was thinking for example if it's account bound then I can make a crim and maybe use this kissaki kit there anyways? So people what is your experience with this, did anyone remembers this, got one of these and did you manage to get this working somehow or should I just forget it.
  7. Warning: This is what I got so don't take it all as canon since there were different packs-rewards, just sharing my experience. I got a account bound Mako-Kissaki kit bundle that included the 4 slot car on for both factions and got this for two accounts. But considering I didn't had a enforcer on neither of them I was limited to the Mako kit alone which worked for me since I could dupe it and sell my creations because I had a Bishada unlocked on those crim characters. One pack was limited for 3 months (this was a direct gameplay event randomly rewarded, no clue what event it was, it was long time ago circa 2015), the other one limited for 6 months (this was also a reward but opened through a Joker Box). So I used the 3M first then when that expired I activated the other one. On both accounts the 4 slot car expired alongside the kits. You couldn't use them, they remained in your inventory but were greyed out -blocked. Same example as when you try a car (or weapon) from Armas and it remains in your inventory after it expires but you cannot use it anymore. Luckily I kept the cars and now they are unlocked and available for use. Now I do believe this is something LO enabled upon someone's request because I am pretty sure those cars were unusable for years up until LO took over. And I am glad to have those cars again so thank you. The car cannot be sold but can be duplicated so you can make other personal versions of it and it costs 1,500 in-game $. The parts cannot be altered just the livery and color options. Provided a picture of it. And yes some information could be more clear, specific and refined in some cases but equally it can be just as easily ignored in a wall of text that the user might skip or miss out or even forget it and cannot be re-read because some information is only available once during the read. So it's a win-lose situation in both...and need to be addressed somehow to appeal more the user with notifications that can separate themselves and be more clear to read and see but not be over the top so the user ignores it. So in conclusion if you (OP) have the same package you probably got a car with it and can make at least your personal vehicles that you can keep and use later on even after the pack expires, and these cannot be sold or shared. So choose and create wisely.
  8. Armas needs a rework. And account-bounded clothing, which was "uploaded" way before LO. As I see, LO making every new item in Armas with options, account or character bound. So why not do the same trick with old content?
  9. Real gamers bought a character bound weapon and than bought the same weapon account bound before the option to upgrade to account bound was available.
  10. I grabbed the pack account bound. ...mostly for the animal suit
  11. At this point I would like to buy every gear pack if it was made account-bound. But seems like they can't rework old packs, and somehow they can make new packs acc-bound. Interesting...
  12. In my opinion: - Weapon roles should be less grindy, like 2x times less. - Also 16th role should be removed because it makes no sense. - In continuation, Chrome skin and slightly changed version of 3-slotted guns should be available after 15th role. - There is have to be kill count after reaching max rank. - 3rd level mods can be unlocked on 10th level, why not? - Every role should be account-bounded. Voila! Perfect game with less grind and reasonable rewards. At least account bounded roles will solve so many problems for veteran players and give no penalty for new players who just reached max rank and already get some kills and some roles gained. Also I have to say that game is not much p2w since half of Armas guns is complete shit. But 3-slotted version of normal ones give players slight advantage. However, EVERY gun must be useful on it's own niche WITHOUT mods, like Scout, N-TEC or JG. Just correct me if I'm not right. P.S: Heavy Barrel shouldn't have damage penalty at all. Buff it.
  13. Is the Emote VIP pack character bound or is it account bound?
  14. https://www.gamersfirst.com/marketplace/ingame/product_details.php?storetype=g1c&gameID=20&productId=6359 Bruh moment. Same old pack as the last year, sadly I have been bought two separated ones in 2019, one difference is the “Alignment titles” which I cannot get account-bound separately (fkn crying rn). The cringe is, I still have to grind pumpkins for skin and wings, on EACH of my characters, same as horseman games. Why don’t you guys put at least bit of effort into Armas? Imma throw you money for all Halloween 2019-2021 rewards, account bounded, just don’t make me grind again. Otherwise, I would grind and suffer just to show how wrong you are.
  15. Perfect example that each player has his own kinks. (I don't really grind JT's after I got crown on my main) Personally, I'm into Armas and all stuff in it, I adore account-bounded items and collect them, that's why I count Easter Classics Pack, recently included in Armas as a good move. LO have much chance to save this game, so why not support them just for that? If I was millionaire or so, I would sponsor it
  16. Hi All: Very happy the game is still being worked on. Personally, I don't have a problem with the characters being wiped, especially if that means the economy will be repaired. I only ask that we can keep our unique account-bound items. It would be nice to still have the items we paid real money for or earned in promotions or special events. Keeping our original characters would also be appreciated even if they are reset to level one and lose all gear except what I mentioned. I'd love to have familiar faces follow me from the old game to the reboot. May my Spiked Chopper and Classy Feathered Top Hat live again!
  17. Said it before, and I'll say it again. If they added DMR-AV PR3 which added 3-Point Sling 3 or Bandolier 3, I would purchase it account-bound immediately despite already having DMR-AV PR1.
  18. Is it? I can either pay once with my real money for a rental gun that has 3 open slots that will cost a ludicrous amount iirc. Or I give LO 30$ for an account bound permanent version of it. It's definitely not a clear answer. Like sure you can get that gun in game for free. But until LO allow players to either make more OR make these rentals cost less. It will always feel P2W, the W is very general in this context where "Winning" is just being able to keep more money every week instead of spending it on weapon rentals. I mean shoot, I have a huge arsenal and can't remember the last time I rented a gun. Imagine trying to rent just 3 guns for 1 week. (all 3 open slots)
  19. Hello Matt, I have a few questions regarding about all this. I've been a member of the console community since 2017 and I have been waiting for an update for over 5 years ever since you guys took control of APB, but kinda disappointed that it came down to this ending. Here are my following Questions: 1. Since I do have multiple accounts, is it possible for me to actually merge all of them into 1 GamersFirst account? I have around 5-6 Characters spread across my accounts and I wouldn't want to have 1 GamersFirst account for each Console account I've had. 2. Will we get some sort of compensation for this happening? I mean we are losing the platform we've been playing on. It was fair for you guys to not do something about this since we technically were 1 Engine Upgrade ahead of PC, while PC had the new content like newly released Weapons, the new car, clothing etc. But now that Console is being shut down what would we get once we first tune in on PC? 3. Personally I've spent more than 400$ on my account, buying account bound weapons and packs such as Juggernaut Pack, Revelations Pack, Key To The City Pack and even some Jokerboxes since they are still around there. I've read that there is some loyalty rewards thing going on, and would my spending count towards it? 4. I am also a symbol designer and sometimes make clothes too, if I switch to PC, would all of it go to PC without any issues or will there be a level of distortion and make me have to rework on the designs on my Avatar, Symbols and Vehicles. 5. Will we get the opportunity for us to get past event items/titles? Like I've pointed out before, we didn't get around 5-6 years worth of updates, so I'd like to know if we will be given the opportunity to get those. 6. Would there be a day where you guys would revive the game back on consoles, but with the new Generation Hardware? I mean it's obvious that I will get slandered on by whatever diehard PC player around here with them saying console is a mistake or whatever. But at the same time console is just more accessible to the community, while also giving the chance that others from there may spend a lot more compared to PC players, since you also said that "Console users spends as much if not more than PC players". I guess it'll take a lot of effort to do rerelease APB on Consoles, but at least there wouldn't be the same drawbacks you guys had with working on 2 different codebases, and would ultimately make the game available for everyone. That is all, I hope that ultimately everything would turn alright, only thing that we may appreciate is for you guys to turn on Voice Chat for one last time before it's all gone, I guess we deserve at least that while it lasts. Have a nice day
  20. Okay well that’s unfortunate. in my case, I have about 15 total character across two Xbox accounts and a Playstation account. If I were to transfer everything (if I can) into ONE PC account, Im guessing I’d have to rename all my characters and lose the names they had? Would all my account bound purchases apply to my PC account? Do we get to keep all of our characters stats intact (playtime, kill count?). Will all of our Cash, JT, and G1C transfer aswell? If we do transfer, would all our console purchases also apply for loyalty rewards on PC? This news really blows for me because I spent a ton of money and time on this game and it hurts to see it go, but hopeful if we can transfer every single thing without losing anything in the process. I likely wont play too much on PC anyway since I cant play Keyboard and Mouse too well but hopefully we can go back to console in the future if that ever happens edit: Also I have a Gamersfirst account but play off a Steam account on PC that uses the same email, how do I know which account to transfer to?
  21. no account bound option makes you look scummy af also why is this vehicle listed under emotes lmao, literally no part of this release is bug free mind boggling fumble at the 1 yard line, if you'd just kept the car under wraps instead of trying (and failing) to distract the community from the stagnant roadmap you could have released a decent piece of content on your own time
  22. Can't find a suggestion thread on this even though it has been discussed numerous times on threads. Seems obvious. Reasoning: All cosmetics should have account bound purchase options. Mostly affects untradable Clothing and Vehicles Yes, Vehicle Kits potentially can be used on cars available in game, thus tradable in the in-game marketplace (or sent via mail)...but not all Vehicle Kits can be used that way. All ARMAs clothing cannot be traded in the in-game Marketplace, even those which used to be in-game (ex. Double Gun Holster Back) All ARMAs exclusive vehicles cannot be traded in the in-game Marketplace (many customizable ones have in-game purchase options anyway). There is an option to Account Bound upgrade Weapons...but not clothing or vehicles. You can get Account Bound Weapon skins (packs and individually)...but not clothing or vehicles. There are already a few big bundles that clearly make this possible...but there are so many bundles that don't have this option. Pros: More reason to buy character slots. Justified prices for those individual items that are not 99G1C. Easier than debundling everything. Cons: Only a con if you don't have multiple character slots and just don't understand how bad people want virtual, pixelated, legwarmers without spending a fortune. Only a con if you hate people are wasting money buying virtual goods to support a game with tones of customization.
  23. I have a rather complex suggestion, so please stick with me here. So, you all are very well aware of all those allegations that Armas guns are P2W. At the same time, you also might've noticed there's been no new weapons for those who don't buy stuff from Armas - not just reskins, but actually new weapons, like ACES, Scout or ATAC, for example. The only weapons we've been given are M1922 and OSCAR - it's something, but require going through slow and tedious progress of leveling newest contacts and always come with two slots, which not everyone might need (or need more, but guess what - for 3-slotted M1922 you'd have to spend WAY too much than it's actual worth; glad Matt Scott himself noticed that too). Sure, there's Joker vendors, but you'd have to go through Fight Club if you want to get all those guns, and even then it'll take a while (no, contact activities give chump change, it's out of the question). Plus not all of us like playing on Fight Clubs (I sure don't). Which brings me to my suggestion. What I'm proposing is a complete rework of Armas and weapon earning process. In my opinion, all the different weapons with unique statistics should be obtainable the same way as any other. As in, unlocked through contacts as non-slotted versions and through leveling specific weapon rank for slotted versions. As for Armas, what should only be sold there are reskins. I'm sure no one would mind cashing out for a cool looking reskin of the gun they love using that also has a convenient feature of being permanent and account bound, but also no one would complain about P2W, because you'll be well aware that, for example, some guy killing you with STAC is, in fact using a reskinned SR15 which you can always get from contacts and be on an even battlefield, where only the actual skill will matter. And as for Joker vendors, I'd say there should be Joker exclusive reskins with unique mods, but nothing too imbalanced please. OCA Whisper or Joker Box weapons would definitely fall into that theme. What about clothing, weapon skins and car parts? Well that one's rather easy. Cash shop exclusive stuff of that sort is absolutely fine. But there also should be a good variety for those who don't spend money. It kinda hurts seeing all available car parts for every car hidden behind paywall. After all, APB's customization is the holy grail of it. Completely paywalling it is a big no-no. For a good example of how it should work see Path of Exile - the game is basically thriving for several years now. And it's cash shop only sells reskins and minor inconvenience removers, nothing more. Well, that's all I have. I really wanted to share this with everyone for 7 years straight, but only now, with our new benefactors from Little Orbit, I feel safe to suggest something so radical.
  24. Also another route it could take inside of increasing joker tickets is make the permanent items account bound instead of character bound, making the grind a little less. JT weapons are supposed to be there to provide 'a taste of ARMAS' to non-paying players, so if you remove Joker Tickets and fold the current crop of Ticket weapon leases into regular leases, what happens to future ARMAS additions going forward? I doubt it would effect ARMAS that greatly, but I do agree somewhat with the first statement. I know there is the mission tracker but I also wish for another way to achieve JT's due to the fact not everyone "gets gud" in fightclub.
