Update to the latest windows 10 build 1903 caused my account to get trade locked.

If you're logging in through steam that would still be linked to your old account. If you don't have access to that anymore just contact support and give them the info they ask for to verify the ownership

Without getting into to much detail, if they use a simple macro is very easy to tell besause of the constant consistency. Experienced users 'screw up' once in a while, simple macro's don't. Now, if you would use a more advanced macro then it will be harder for a GM/spectator/stream watcher to spot, IE: if you add a randomised factor to it looks more humanised. I've seen a guy using his own advanced macro and combined it with a semi-randomised/non-autoshoot aimbot, he went from rank 9 to 255 and that account is still not banned. We all know that AC's are a joke these days so it's up to other factors to get people like this banned and there is where the problem is. It's not what GM/spectators/stream watchers see, it's what cheaters wants them to see. Sidenote to your streaming refference: there's still streamers who are blatantly using marcros and bots so catching those is not that hard, and yet they're still playing. It's a bit frustrating to say the least.

I think you may be confusing fairness with the outcome of the game. Fair match doesn't mean that both teams will win 50% of the time. It means that both teams play under the same conditions and better team will win 100% of the time unless something unexpected happens. Like who knows, maybe the worse team will learn something during the game that will make them equal or even better. Or maybe they were better from the very beginning but didn't believe it which made them play worse. Anyway, so because of how APB works you may think that 3 silvers vs 2 golds is fair or maybe even unfair for the silvers, but it's actually unfair for golds. And who will win the game is irrelevant. If you want to make a system where both teams win 50% of the time then well first of all, that's impossible, you would have to take into account a lot more factors than just threat and rank, and second why would you want to do that? Where's the fun in playing if you know that no matter what you do, you will win half of your games? But most developers are still trying to introduce this scuffed matchmaking and it just doesn't work on so many levels. If you play good, you win more games. If you play bad, you lose more games. No need to complicate things. And if someone can't handle that, maybe competitive games just aren't for them?

The question is not in cheater, the question is that they do not fight. Quite. Cheaters are not afraid to lose an account, not afraid to lose things on this account. They are not afraid of punishment for using the software, and this is wrong! On the other hand, what do simple players who do not use third-party software, do not play? Drop everything? Quit the game and accounts in which the money was invested, several hundred? Is it serious? Is that your suggestion? Just close your eyes to what is happening or still try to fight. To convey the essence of the problem to the administration. Forced to take tough action. Stop making false promises. The same Blizzard very hard fighting with any third-party software, and as it is not strange in their games are not so many cheaters. They are there, you are right, but they are much smaller if the company did nothing at all.

I dunno what happened but it's not hard to imagine what gonna happen. This community is... let's say it lightly... seriously fucked in head. They gonna chase him around. Troll him outside mission. Plus everyone gonna spam in PM, district etc. about their life issues. And pretty sure we gonna have few blatants just to show "what a chads" they are by wasting their life blatanting on 50th account in-game. There is reason why all staff kept itself either as "normal players" inside game or away from game other than dev job.

the cm played with people she didnt know were banned under g1, on her personal twitch channel, and boosted her account to r255 the forums literally stopped working because there were so many people sperging out over it at once

That is why I don't think only a carrot will work. You also need to reduce / remove the incentive of doing the wrong thing (in this case dethrating). Remember back when we had 30 threat levels? Elite gold players desperately tried to get to gold-10 and resorted to all kinds of silly tactics to get there (out of mission ghosting, 3rd party software cheating etc....) It was horrible. This was part why G1 decided to change the visibility of your hidden threat rating. Today we don't really see this behavior anymore. Success. My point being that reaching gold-10 was sort of a "carrot" and it appealed to a big chunk of the elite gold veteran community. You just need to design the "carrot" correctly (the best "carrot" is to make the game more "fun"... preferable by always giving you close match-ups that are challenging to your character rating, in-game equipment, FPS and true skill level but not overpowering and can go either way at any time). If you prevent golds from joining missions with vastly lesser skilled players in a F2P game like APB:R then you always have the risk of someone (like OP) creating a smurf account. With the current system you can stay in the bronze district and get matched against players in the district for a whole day even if you went gold many hours ago. But if you are also prevent people from joining missions with vastly lesser skilled players (by disabling the mission ready feature or by mechanically prevent matchmaking against vastly less skilled players by using phasing or some other method) much of the incentive to dethreat will be removed. It will just take maybe 3-10 missions for a stomper on a new account until he or she no longer will be matched up against vastly lesser skilled players and have to leave for the higher threat district.

Except that g1 had expressly stated that they did look at a number of previous matches to determine threat, and since the point system, no such changes have been announced to the threat system to say they changed the system to the one you describe, without the match averages. Nor did they say that the system changed to not include the previous match information (not that they had to, but it would seem odd that they'd leave it out) I believe that this was also said around the time if not after Settle the Score came out as I've known about the ~50 match tracking ( since the summer/fall of gold lock because I HAD tried to dethreat during that time after learning about it, but decided it was too much effort). I forget when Settle the Score came out exactly. The system to my knowledge runs similar to what you're saying, but it accounts for your overall progress over a number of matches. You also talk about CV but how is it calculated? You simply talk about the glicko values. How does the confidence value change? What is that based on? Over how long is that CV based? How does it know that its confident? You can't have that value without some sort of performance over time basis can you? What about them trying to keep a ~20% gold pop ~30%-40% silver whatever it is for bronze and gold. How is that handled?

Very true. 17,000+ accounts were banned Yes, that is likely true, though its only a guess from me. Since I can only guess, I would say going through 17,000+ bans manually would have been too much work. tl;dr yes Matt knew exactly how to trigger a false ban aside from that, I know nothing

nope it was a GM following the rules. 0 tolerance for cheats, and it said on the GM rule post "the use of a macro or anything that mimics a macro" was to be banned. Back then they banned for 2 hours anyone that cheated in any form. but you would have to be a RTW player to remember the golden days. sure they would reroll but all of their stuff on the first account was gone. the issue is that the "entitled" kids think they deserve to cheats and will admit it then call you salty for trying to make them play in the rules.

Send out emails to everyone that havent played the game for 3 months are more and tell them they got their OWN DISTRICT free from GOLD LIFERS! You can learn and play the game based upon people of your own skill lvl. SAME OLD discussion on the forums for years. And same OLD excuses! GOLD servers are Empty, Green are, will, and have always been empty. The whole thing is ridiculous, USE the GREEN servers! As it stands now a Trainee goes to GREEN, which is really Bronze in 2 missions at the most! IT's NONSENSIBLE! Stretch out the levels.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE WHAT YOU DID WITH the RIOT 3 steps intro. Maybe You could change up the District Seclect Screen. It's sometimes months or years before a player learns they can MANUALLY select their appropriate district. This a Huge issue. Maybe, the new Trainees and would actually get some kills and have some fun and stick around. And how knows SPEND SOME MONEY! The Dethreaters couldn't go to Green to harass them. Don't give them any standing whatsoever for playimg in Bronze either. Silvers could and would be able to play in the actual SILVER DISTRICT. What in the hell is the downside of trying??? I know.... How long does it take for someone from support to assist me in regards to my account? I used to login in via steam and now it's telling me my password expired, I submitted a ticket 2 weeks ago, absolutely 0 response until then. I want to try out the new event before it's gone!

dear developers . why the arrival of your team I can not fulfill objectives in the event ? if I spend the in game 17hours x 6days ? my pictures (originals) I can't see CLDA spent a lot of time looking for information about REDHILL - my the post was removed by the forum moderator . REDHILL - didn't enter the last code . the experience of the ARG was interesting to me . provide full statistics about the contest how many accounts participated in the event ? how many accounts got the cap ? how many accounts did G1 get ? how many accounts received premium time to play ?

so the excel file would still be useless, since it does prove nothing - they would/could be ending up giving players everything that's on their accounts i think the issue mostly were people abusing their or their friends gm role as well as a bunch of free handouts and way cheaper prices to begin with... and while i wouldnt care too much (if it's not like broken stuff) it seems unfair to others and is bad for business. you could probably even go ahead and add all of these event weapons to that excel file unless there is a way to distinguish them... right? plus imagine comparing thousands of excel files with player databases more or less manually since it would be on an one-to-one customer basis...

In the instance that you quoted, I let my frustrations get the better of me without explanation. For that I am sorry. Let me clarify a little more. I have been playing this game on XB1 since it launched on the console, 2 or 3 years ago. I have the title "Xbox One Founder," that I can use if I wanted. I have played pretty off and on, but still quite a bit. I have paid for premium, various guns, vehicles, etc... Last month I was premium when the whole game, across all platforms was having problems. As I said, I logged in, or attempted to log in, every day with the same characters I have had since it came to console. Today included without the two weeks additional premium. (as of 2:10 EST) I made my first avatar on PC ever, on 5/9/2019, (The day before free premium was released) and by 7:30 PM on 5/10, just 30 minutes after Matt said that it started rolling out based on log in time, I had premium on my PC account. Before you ask, yes, when he announced free premium starting on 5/10, I figured I would try PC as well. This is where some of my frustration as a console gamer comes from. To be loyal for years on console and know that someone who is less than 24 hours old on PC gets what was promised to the community is frustrating. But, allow me to NOT go that route. I wanted to post that explanation and I did. The real issue I have is that as a company, and a business, if LO an its CEO promise something it is irresponsible of them to wait until DAYS after making said promises to even mention how/when it is happening. Now, I know premium is now out to all users. For that I am happy and glad that they made an effort for some compensation. Again, to go back to what really should happen, is that the game should work. When it doesn't, console users shouldn't have to wait for days for an explanation, outreach or otherwise. They deserve the same respect as the entire community. I see there are posts from 14 hours ago from Matt and other team members regarding Xbox status. 5/10, not to mention all the problems from the two weeks prior, is a bit further back than that. An old saying in business is "Under promise and Over Deliver." As for myself, (and likely many other Xbox 1 users,) LO has consistently done just the opposite.
