Clarification on nudity 2

This topic seeks attention from @MattScott

 

So , i was playing APB today on citadel , in social district , when i went in game i noticed a GM Called "zeroexthirtynine" Asking a female character player to remove her top wich had realistic nipples drawn on it.

 

Seeing this i remembered about matt scott's topic about the clarification on nudity :

 

 

 

So at this point i told the GM "But we got a clear message from you guys stating that anything above the belt is fine"

 

then i got this as an answer (that in my opinion seemed more to be the GM's personal opinion than him reading the rules) :

 

 

i definetly knew that this GM was in the wrong from what i've read , but i guess i can do nothing because he's a GM and he decides the rules hm ?

 

So at this point  , i went myself do my own ressearch and found this in the "Clarification on Nudity" Thread  , more precisely on the blog post that you shared and liked @MattScott:

 

Here you guys state that genitalia is the limit ingame , and that above is accepted as long as it's not intended to offend anyone :

 

 

So there we go again , we're in a blurry spot ,  back to the same question , where is the limit ?:

 

Is this GM misinformed / misbehaving ? ,or  is there anything you didn't tell us ?

Rules are flexible yes , but that GM seemed to have overwritten the rule in a snap of a finger and give that player no choice, while he, the player, clearly wasn't in the wrong .

Jesus, a lot of people have been banned in the past from GMs who don't fully understand the TOS or general rules. Then when they're called out on it, they make the rules "bend" to their intended point. It's kinda crazy seeing this again. 

 

I really hope it was just a general misunderstanding and no action was taken.

Its like these tools WANT the  attention by walking the line of allowed or not.

 

If you cant show it in public....then it should not be allowed in game.

Whether or not you can go nude in public depends on the location and purpose.

In the United States, some states allow nudity as long as it's provable that it's not for lewd purposes.

Nude beaches also exist, which are public.

Apparently, the question of "nipple exposure" has already been answered by @MattScott

So, as far as GM-zeroxthirtynine, it comes down to a training issue, nothing more.

 

It might be helpful afterwards if LO were to instruct this uninformed GM to contact  the "female character" personally in game,

that they were incorrect in their communication to them concerning nipple display,

otherwise , those players on citadel, may never see this player's nipples again.

 

Personally, I really don't care.

The game is 18+

 

I have yet to see one nipple on Jericho, sad to say.

Yes , we must allow GM's to run rampant, and make up rules of the game, as we go along.

This is exactly why intelligent companies just lay down the simple "no nudity, period" rule. Anything else is just too open to interpretation, which causes the issues we see here.
