  1. I wish my weapon roles would be account bound, at the very least faction bound.
  2. Very late edit, just realized you asked about Armas, somehow I read Joker, my bad Off the top of my head AP45, 4x4 customizable with kits, NSSW (3slot), Atac (3slot), TAS/CSG, whatever has the option to be account bound, it's worth it. And avoid buying reskins or items that are given as loyalty awards
  3. https://www.gamersfirst.com/apb/news/2020/6/8/joker-store-renovations Per this announcement, any Joker Store purchases of permanent unlocks adds an option to re-purchase with ingame cash. This means you can freely toss the weapons to make room (mostly relevant for those of us who are sitting at/near locker storage limit), and then grab it again later for a mission's worth of ingame cash. How about adding ARMAS permanent purchases (both character and account bound) to this?
  4. so you telling me people would waste more money on joker box for Jts instead of actually buying account bound weapon? it didn't affect me one bit. btw kids don't have money. if they use parents credit card they be dead.
  5. How about to make the roles progression account bounded? Pledge every char on account for chrome skin... pain.
  6. Are these the quotes you are referring to? I can't say I disagree with Matt, new players to APB face a number of considerable hurdles towards being able to compete with long standing players, and the progression system is definitely one of them. When we think that some very useful mods such as High Burn Point Fuel or Valzipram are locked away at a fairly high level requirement (Especially for non premium players), there certainly is a case to be made that new players are at a significant disadvantage. This is especially true for weapon mods for example, where if you are a player with no friends in the game, you would need to either grind out the necessary role to then have the chance to buy the modification, or purchase it for an inflated price on the marketplace (Which may not be obvious to do in the first place). I believe Matt's thinking is probably more in line with the changes made to the Joker Store, which was essentially making a wider variety of weapons more accessible to more players. APB has always had an uncomfortable design when it comes to player progression as a result of its unfocused development. On the one hand, we like to believe that an experienced player on a new character would still be able to fight just as effectively, but on the other they also have the benefit of being able to send mods over from other characters and have the knowledge that shiny gold guns don't make you win. If we're not going to restrict matchmaking by character level, then we need to ensure that more players are on the same playing field. This is without going into the mess of the unfinished merging of player characters. By this I mean almost 10 years ago now they decided to make threat account bound instead of character bound, yet still we have very few account bound facilities (Such as symbol storage or shared bank accounts). I don't believe the kill requirements for the Chrome skin are going anywhere, but it's important for more experienced players of APB to not dismiss these ideas. You may say the game will crumble by changing progression, but how can we expect APB to survive without new players?
  7. Hi All: Very happy the game is still being worked on. Personally, I don't have a problem with the characters being wiped, especially if that means the economy will be repaired. I only ask that we can keep our unique account-bound items. It would be nice to still have the items we paid real money for or earned in promotions or special events. Keeping our original characters would also be appreciated even if they are reset to level one and lose all gear except what I mentioned. I'd love to have familiar faces follow me from the old game to the reboot. May my Spiked Chopper and Classy Feathered Top Hat live again!
  8. Boys and girls of APB; As many of you who still roam the forum, I've been playing this wonderful and amazing game since the old RTW days, on and off. After following LO in social media since they took over, reading their posts, watching the new engine stream, seeing the amazing work they are doing and how open @MattScott is with the community, I'm posting my list of suggestions to improve the game, hoping to get some traction and reaching the people who can take action. Feel free to add your own suggestions, I'll edit the post to include them. CHEATING An actual, working anti-cheat for the game would be nice... Shadow ban hackers so they can only play against other hackers - this is the feature I want to see the most. Ban macros and triggerbots - these external apps are not being monitored at all and there are clans that even distribute them to all members as if a triggerbot was something normal and acceptable to use in any other shooter game... Add potential cheater flagging methods based on stats, so a mod is required to review a player live in a district to determine if they are hacking (ie: a K/D ratio above X ==> flags an account to be reviewed by a game mod). THREAT LEVEL Make intentional dethreating much harder (more games required to dethreat (especially to Bronze), additional factors considered to dethreat, etc) and lock gold players out of bronze districts (if you're a Silver threat player in a Bronze district and get bumped to Gold for abusing lower skilled players, you {and your group} should get automatically moved to a Silver/Gold threat server without the possibility of rejoining the Bronze district until there are no Gold players in the group). The game is already hard to pick up and currently new players get rekt until they uninstall by people that shouldn't be in low level districts owning them non-stop. Add more factors to how threat level is calculated (K/D ratio, assists, medals per game, etc). A new threat level above Gold and sub-levels within each threat level. A seasonal pinnacle reward system for reaching the highest levels (similar to Destiny 2) would be nice, but it won't work unless the hackers are dealt with. In a completely different, alternative scenario, remove threat level based districts, create a "skill level" value for every player and allow anyone to join any district, but make the matchmaking strict within skill level. WEAPONS Rethink weapon balance: instead of nerfing the weapons that perform well, take what makes them good and buff the weaker weapons accordingly. This, of course, is tied to the vision LO has about the overall weapon balance, TTK, etc. Reduce the huge impact RnG has in gunfights. A LTL weapon series for Criminals, or at least an option as annoying as them. Add a "test" feature to Joker Ticket weapons similar to what the ARMAS marketplace has. Weapon loadout creation for easy swaps during missions. ACCOUNT-WIDE CHANGES Increase to symbol, theme, song and clothing limit. Symbols, cash and Joker tickets shared across all characters in the same account. Add a safe way to quickly transfer tradeable weapons between characters from the same account. Make Joker ticket weapons account bound. SERVER CHANGES Server login queue. Increase population cap and remove Green threat servers. Have an Trainee exclusive server not visible from the District list) only available for new accounts until they get a proper threat level assigned. Add the option to turn off other player's customization (turn them into a default Criminal or Enforcer skin) to improve performance for lower end PCs. Rework in-mission spawns ensuring you can't have someone spawn X meters away from you with direct LoS. Ping considered for matchmaking. OTHER / QOL Disable other players' car radio. Please. Pretty please. Character and vehicle customization limit increase. Increase the drop rate of vinyls Twitch integration (streamer mode, Twitch drops, Twitch Prime packs). Clan progression and the always requested Clan base/house/club/whatever. Create a standard tutorial mission for new players against bots, going over the basics. Take faster and harder action against Nazi symbology. Every day I see multiple people with Swastikas and SS uniforms roaming the Social district like there's nothing wrong with that and it's weird AF...
  9. I haven't played in 4 months, but I've never had a problem with the ATAC, people who us the ATAC, or using the ATAC myself. I don't see anything really wrong with it. It kinda feels like a flashier STAR, but that's probably just me being weird. I bought an account bound R&D 3 version, but I almost never use it.
  10. They are account bound, even if you are given the code when attempting to redeem an error message will tell you the codes belong to another account. People censor the codes as a good practice or simple are not aware that they cannot be redeemed on another account. Like others have mentioned, codes don't expire once they reach the deadline the expiration date is automatically extended. I have got tones of premium codes dating back from 2014.
  11. No they don't, you're making stuff up. I own all of them and they are account bound, so they don't expire. These codes get a new expiration date when they reach the current one. I have some old codes from 2016 which I never used and they never expired.
  12. the ursus is just a gun and its only "unique" because you can't get an ursus without buying joker boxes, this is the exact type of "unique" that doesn't qualify it to be a legendary imo previous buyers can suck dirt frankly, and i say that as someone who's bought all the legendaries through joker boxes - they're still getting an account bound weapon, and depending on how many joker boxes they bought it could have only cost them 99g1c whenever i log in there's 50 pages of symbols and like 10 pages of legendaries so i don't think it would render the mp useless, and if little orbit ever gets rid of joker boxes like they originally stated they would then it won't matter anyway
  13. You know what you're right, after rethinking again, yes the Nano is not special, it just happens to be a good secondary for people with horrible ping so you can just spam spray it. But the Ursus, I feel like it's dead accurate on its first shot, and the increased damage makes a difference against players with fragile or when you wanna finish someone off with your secondary after dealing some damage. That's why the Ursus is in such high demand, because if it was for looks/sounds it wouldn't have been worth 100k in the MP.. And I can see the solution you're proposing to be the ideal case, but there would be 3 problems with that. Previous buyers of weapons would give LO sh*t for that. The MP would be nearly rendered useless, as weapon trade is the most used feature of the MP. Current owners of the weapons already transferred the weapons they needed for the character they're maining for the time being, so an account-bound version wouldn't be much of a compensations for them. I think it needs more thinking to find the least destructive solution because there will always be an angry mob after each change, including better cheat detection or an engine upgrade (lol as if it will every come before this game is dead)...
  14. as nice as the ursus crosshair is i doubt it's really giving you anything at all in combat and the nano has no special unique mechanic at all, which was the whole point of my post - probably half the current joker box weapons are only "unique" because g1 walled them off behind a joker box, not because they actually have a unique mechanic it would probably require some effort but my solution would be to straight up get rid of those joker boxes and push the weapons into the game as f2p lease unlocks, and probably add account bound purchases to armas as well current owners of the weapons would receive a free account bound version in their mailbox
  15. Am i the only one, who think that weapons purchased through the joker store, should be account bound and not character?
  16. make the packs account bound seriously.
  17. For the life of me I found bundles with cars, clothing and guns the most confusing. I believe the Vegas Rocker Bundle is the 4th most expensive bundle on armas that contains guns, clothing and a vehicle. Dressed to Kill Enforcer/Criminal Bundle: 5034 - 1 clothing, 1 gun, vehicle and vehicle kit... Juggernaut Strike Pack: 4999 - Account bound, 3 guns, 5 gun skins, vehicle, vehicle kit, 1 clothing and a lot of eye sore! Pack of Revelations Pass: 4999 - Account bound, 4 clothing, 5 guns, 5 gun skins, vehicle and 4 vehicle kits... although there is an argument to be made if they're actually 4 different kits or 1 kit made up by 4 partial kits. Vegas Rocker Bundle w/Vegas Rhino 4x4: 4436 - 1 clothing, 1 gun, vehicle and kit, Enforcer/Criminal Heavy Duty Bundle: 4190 - 1 clothing, 1 gun, vehicle and vehicle kit. The Vegas Rocker Kit doesn't include the actual Patriot Vegas 4x4, which is not unique but the price was still higher than some entire bundles. Most bundles include the actual vehicle and are priced about the same or higher... but the Vegas Rocker Bundle w/Vegas Rhino 4x4 has the following content: Rhino kit, 4x4 Vegas, Tas 40 and Rocket clothing kit. Without Premium it is 4436 G1c, and 3549 G1c with a Premium 20% discount. The Enforcer/Criminal Halloween Complete Bundle Which includes the Firehawk Kit, Vegas 4x4, Rocket clothing pack, ISSR-a Artemis assault rifle, plus the Punk clothing pack (valued 1113) and still ends up cheaper at 3432 before premium. Compared to the Halloween Complete Bundle, The Vegas Rocker Bundle is still more expensive EVEN WITH the Premium discount and less content. --- @MattScott There are 4 Armas products that I feel should have their prices reviewed and a couple others to consider: I believe that the Dressed to Kill Enforcer/Criminal Bundle is disproportionately overvalued at 5034 G1c. This was a shockingly bad considering Dressed to Kill are Character Bound when there are the Juggernaut Strike Pack and Pack of Revelations Pass costing 4999 G1c, both including at least 2 more guns, 5 gun skins as well as all contents being account wide. By chance I noticed that the Urban Warfare Packs were unevenly priced between the 2 faction variants. The Armored Urban Warfare Pack is the Enforcer version priced at 3343 G1c, The Criminal version of this pack is the Impact Urban Warfare Pack but is priced 2895 G1c. Again I would ask if both of Urban Warfare Packs If the price are fair considering ATAC 424 Watchman included is a 30 day lease and not Character Lifetime long. And back to the original poster's topic. With the Vegas Rocker Bundle w/Vegas Rhino 4x4 costing 4436 G1c, it is on the higher end of where it should be I feel. However the Vegas Rocker Kit priced at 2269 G1c. When you consider it consists of shotgun, clothing pack and a vehicle kit without the vehicle, It doesn't seem so bad; The G-Force Race Packs at 2,589 G1c includes a car but no gun. Not sure how others value a car compared to a gun, but I think the car would be of higher value and so this seems fair more or less. ...and in from the left field the High Roller Bundle, ironically the cheapest bundle including a clothing pack, a car with full body kit and gun at 2241 G1c, just though i'd mention that.
  18. off topic : don't your feet hurt running without shoes ? on topic : congrats that all had to be a pain with that many chars. off topic : this is why we need kits and/or clothing bundles available account bound.... omg 17 chars
  19. Seems like it was put back up at it's usual price without much thought put in, so I am not surprised nor annoyed at the price or the lack of account bound option At least it's better than 5 dollars for just a hat :')
  20. considering little orbit has charged five dollars for a single standalone clothing item (a hat) i think this price is ok the lack of an account bound option is definitely frustrating, especially with little orbits continued promises to transform armas into a more consumer friendly storefront
  21. Hello, I just seen a Fallen Angel pack in Armas. I think to buy it, but it seems this is only character bound. And I have a question: will (or can) you add a account bound version to Armas? Its very expensive to buy it separatelly to every character.
  22. Only if all of the following also happen: Players with the RAF CAP40 are retroactively granted account-bound copies of the 3-slot CAP40. The 3-slot CAP40 is added to ARMAS for players that joined after the RAF program was shut down. The CAP40 Sergeant's third slot is opened. It's only fair.
  23. Different situation. Both the OSCAR and M-1922 were added to contacts to give players a taste of them, to then incentivize their purchase on ARMAS. The contacts gave 2-slot versions for 10 day lease for APB$, whereas ARMAS offers 3-slot versions that can be purchased as permanent account-bound. It's typical predatory and anti-consumer greed tactics. The new contacts will have the full Temptress and CAP40 as they exist from the RAF program. There's no reason for them to be added to ARMAS. Also, as Little Orbit has already proven, they have no interest in filling out the ARMAS library just as Gamersfirst/Reloaded didn't. There's plenty of guns that were already in ARMAS, that aren't back there still.
  24. we are a good bad example, the fractional percentage of millions of people who have tried apb and didn’t quit this is not a good ratio, and while i’m aware there are a lot of reasons people quit besides new player experience that doesn’t change the hundreds upon hundreds of negative reviews about said poor experience from a business standpoint new players are probably slightly more important, the gaming industry has been moving away from maintaining a small number of veteran players as “whales” and moving towards enticing a large number of players spending a small amount of money even little orbit recognizes this, evidenced by them lowering microtransaction prices and (supposedly) moving armas to account bound and then with apb’s specific situation, where id bet a large majority of veterans are aware that spending money on a game that 3 companies have consistently failed to improve is not a good idea, if they haven’t already purchased everything they want already at the end of the day neither group can be discarded - apb isn’t going to survive on the 600 veterans that still play, but changing apb to appeal to a constantly rotating population of new players will leave us high and dry when inevitably there’s no one new left to try the game
