  1. Little Orbit are already working on it... Rank doesn't only really gives a context as to contact standing. It doesn't reflect a player's skill level or even how long they have played missions, or APB as a whole. It used to be that criminals can increase their contact standing without increasing threat by stealing vehicles, items and mugging people and then laundering the money. (not sure if that was patched out) Anyway It is a waste of GM's time and would not be practical to try and get 24/7/365 coverage of all servers. They game can kick players for being inactive, or team killing... It can be programmed that certain players can be kicks for being in the wrong district but what good would that do? further thinning out the population and besides new charaters on the same account would undermine the system. I mean hackers are happy to spend 10 minutes making a new account when their previous one gets banned... When people but hours upon hours trying to keep their threat level low... 10 minutes every few days isn't really much of a loss to try and circumnavigate GMs / Autokick system. TL;DR for @Rat1oNRUs It has been suggested before and the cons do not outweigh the pros when the threat and matchmaking system needs updating and rebalancing. It's a patch that won't last a week for something that needs a complete renewal.
  2. Not matter what you think, the FFA is handles, behaves and fires the same way as the OBIR and whatever mods used with the FFA will feel and behave the same as using the same mod with a OBIR. It's a placebo affect. As for why are some guns on PC and not on Console... PC runs on Unreal engine 3.0 Consoles are on Unreal Engine 3.5. Little Orbit are actively working on bringing PC up to date and then it should be easier to make the console version of APB feel more stable and transferring PC content which is not yet on Console. LittleOrbit can't just do updates on consoles like they do PC instantly. Most non-PC platforms will require a app developer to submit their updates to be verified and scrutinised by the platform's approved staff. This is to make sure that the updates doesn't cause the consoles to burst into flames, or that the update doesn't make the app attempt to do anything unauthorised. This can take a few working days to months! MattScott has stated that the priority will go to unifying the game engines, and then all platforms can get stabilised and optimised. It is about then some features missing from consoles will be added.
  3. How did you not see this coming... If someone can dethreat from diamond to gold, what is to stop them from dethreating from gold to silver and then silver to bronze. An extra layer doesn't fix the broken system. And to be honest, a temporary ban I think would be fair... dethreating is an exploit to which I question why Little Orbit doesn't impose permanent bans for some more offences!
  4. Learn the map and practice situational awareness. literally I have never ran out of ammo in both gun in over 2000 hours. There are Resupply boxes consumables, Mobile supply units for cars and field supplier character mod... those are on top of the fact you can resupply from Joker vending machines and even car spawns. If someone runs out of ammo for both guns, then you already know what the problem is and why. You can't fix stupid lol
  5. I would hazard a guess that some underlying limitations was the reason why the timer on marketplace is so low. While you may think it is not an effective money sink, I disagree considering that scaling values in transaction opposed to ammunition and car spawns. Any and all transactions need to be balanced out in a artificial economy (real economies are more dynamic) and some of the biggest transactions in game are though player market place.

When you actually put that much effort into trying to be funny... then it wasn't going to be funny.
  7. Some good publicity although slight typo with the word Everyone.
  8. Not so sure about tattooes but hair styles, colours and jewellery however, I can understand being changed out with outfits.
  9. I miss the thrill and pride of unlocking a cool new car part... New wheel on a Dolton Broadwing and then push bars, aerials and different light bars... Finishing off with City Soldiers enforcer light and Wingbolt light bar. All the effort making an unmarked police car was so cool seeing it come together! Now new clothing items and vehicle parts come in packs and bundles... No sense of achievement. Also I got practically everything unlocked including sabretooth helmet which was an accident. Not trying to flex but new kits and skins and I'm there like "oh, that nice...", I missed getting hyped and excited to get new stuff and sharing them with my friends.
  10. Trying to get attention the wrong way, will only get you the wrong kind of attention. I can't help but think of times when spoilt kids would hold their breath to get candy or toys that they want. Or how some desperate guys ask to date/marry a girl at the threat of committing suicide. Truly pathetic, you got the attention but don't deserve what your suggested.
  11. Not going to put words in staff's mouth but it could be that some topics raised are being discussed in the office and LO are not ready for announcement.
  12. Something tells me that the insult was a bit more than just a that for the entire post to be deleted when moderators can edit other people's posts.
  13. Did you forget dethreating was a thing. The game already tries to not put low threat players against high threat players.
  14. That's your reason for quitting APB? ...sorry but of all the reasons, that's one of the more shallow ones. I love APB too but the population is too low for the game to be fair or engaging so I've quit for now until LO comes up with significant new content.
  15. How do you think it feels having Russian teammates when I live in England? 75% of Russia is in Asia and while one tries not to judge or get involved in politics, it isn't easy considering some real world events.
  16. You need to enter the following code in game: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B, Start.
  17. why are you thinking it is these things are that easy and quick? why don't I answer your question with my own questions? why don't you stop for a moment and ask yourself if the problems are as simple as you make the solutions seem? why don't you go use the search function to see if all that you said hasn't been asked before countless times? why don't you learn some patience because there are people that have waited for YEARS for the things you mentioned? why don't you apply for a job at Little Orbit if you think you know what to do? why don't you stop asking for much when Little Orbit are planning to try to fix everything and add new content!
  18. DarkZero and I have become friends in the past but we don't talk as much as we used to, While he is in the US, I am in the UK. In the past I was optimistic and felt a renewed sense of hope as Little Orbit came in and after witnessing what GamersFirst were like, Little Orbit showed incredible enthusiasm, engagement and was upfront and transparent with progress and intentions for the future. However after Autumn Assault, Contagion and Slaybells being 3 events coming within months of each other with the same mistakes being made in how holiday events should be handled. Then Riot's open beta was brought out after a delayed delay. One can understand that Little Orbit is learning everything for the first time but the community could of and in some cases did warn about mistakes being made. In some cases the mistakes were repeated. When completely new game mode which is trending right now for other games is just a flash in the pan for APB and servers return to normal after a week and a half, I feel that is the moment when Little Orbit have to urgently stop and reconsider their next move and expectations, but not just Little Orbit but so does the APB Community need to reconsider their expectations and what this will mean. I was hoping and counting on Riot bringing in more new players but it just didn't, in hind sight that's because there hasn't been any external publicity about it. It was receive rather unwell by APB's community because it is still in testing, it's not a true Battle Royale mode, and that it exists at all. While I tried to maintain hope for Unreal Engine 3.5 being the turning point for APB, and then the flood gates can open up to truly get the game on the road to recovery; I have to say that unfortunately after keeping a keen eye on population numbers and after seeing the reaction to Riot, I've lost a lot of that hope. I WAS quietly optimistic but if I seem pessimistic now, It's because I am predicting a pessimistic future If Riot was anything to go by and now having a long enough period to get an idea of how Little Orbit performence is on average, It's not a reassuring wider image i'm looking at. Unreal Engine 3.5 and Phasing may bring back old players, but you know that means it'll bring back old cheaters, hackers and attempted DDoS attacks. It is highly unlikely that either of these will bring in new players and that's extremely concerning. Little Orbit/Matt Scott has not divulged any intentions, plans or ideas how to bring new players to APB. I believe for them it is a hurdle they'll get to when they get there but the here and now is addressing the outdated engine and broken matchmaking and threat systems.
  19. That is the idea, concept and intention. ...But this is Little Orbit which are a new company that is foolish to make the same mistakes repeatedly. And the engine upgrade to unreal engine 3.5, To some would describe using such words such as elusive, mythical or even a lie! Call it as I see with with Little Orbit. If at all, It won't be tested enough to the point of glitches needing a patch and Matt Scott making a statement... again! As for the phasing itself, Well Unreal Engine 3.5 is going to be tested, Phasing however is a completely new concept that would completely change matching making in a way that has never been done before in APB. $5 says that servers will go down multiple times an hour, and not because of demand from high populations numbers or DDoS attacks.
  20. Rank only portrays the progress made in action district which means little, Threat is a bit of a red herring and match making is a total sh!tstorm of a mess... Again, you said it yourself that rerolling undermines matchmaking and threats. If people are willing to put constant continued effort into dethreating and staying bronze, a 5 minute job of making a new account must be like an investment! OP seems to just swap 1 Fuster Cluck for another. I don't see how this simplifies, compensates, mitigates or really addressing of the underlying problems or the more surface level issues.
  21. OP seriously you're only just digging yourself into a hole.
  22. Ok so say that Hardware ID ban did deter cheaters, so they are now going to try and Pay to Win? Is that the kind of culture you want in this community and game? What you're suggesting is giving a volunteer a role which is probably as hard as a GMs, You want volunteers to and decide if someone is cheating before banning them potentially forever from APB? No one wants to ban an innocent player and that is a responsibility not to be taken lightly, A person in game can't just judge if someone is cheating just be observing alone. You need to be able to prove it without doubt. The staff of Little Orbit are hesitant to ban people permanently, Matt Scott himself doesn't want that kind of approach to APB Personally I think being If someone is going to have the responsibility of banning cheaters, then they should have training on identify and handle harassment claims anyway. Because of the perceived large number of cheating which is incorrect (as this thread demonstrated) I'm sorry but no matter what angle I look at this from, It is NOT a responsibility for a volunteer who can quit at anytime and under less obligations to do their job right than paid member of staff! - This is a bit of a tangent but Volunteers are there as much on their terms as their organisation's. I've worked and volunteered for charities since I left college, and I can tell you that volunteers have to agree to rules, terms and conditions and have training BUT, they are there just as much on their own terms as much as the organisation's terms. Being a volunteer, they can walk away at the end of their active duty that day... on any day. It has happened before where I've been on a voluntary medical duty for a week but on the first day, my post leader makes some racist comments regarding how security is not targeting specific individuals. I walked out the post and relocated to another medical tent and finished that day's duty there but I got on the next bus home on the same first day and had the rest of the week off. I mean I could of walked off mid way through that day... I'd be investigated but the risk of firing a unpaid volunteer is not really much of a threat! So if I get removed from my organisation... cool more time for myself then. - Sometimes there are roles just too big of a risks and demands for a volunteer. If the demand and risk is higher than get a member of staff who is paid to be there with higher training and has a contractual obligation to stay until the job is done. With a responsibility like this, you CANNOT be gung-ho. Even if you wanted to be overzealous in banning people on assumptions, it's going to be a stressful role. You have to bare in mind we're talking about a game which is a source of revenue and income for LittleOrbit's, This is not a MineCraft server. The perceived amount of cheating and the threat of cheating is high... that doesn't mean amount of cheating it is actually high. Just like the perceived threat of terrorism is high... That doesn't mean there is a high risk, Just that the level of fear is high It's a perception: what you think, what you feel, what you believe. That doesn't mean that's the reality of the situation.
  23. While there are some groups of friends that just play together to troll, some may also get upset at a random player for just being there when their 4th friend wasn't ready and didn't make the team in the start of the mission. There are more trolls that join their teams solo, just harass, team kill everyone else or put in attempts to sabotage the mission for his own team. Then there are some new players that just won't listen or understand what is going on. If an individual is made a team leader by the game then they cannot be kicked by the team, a request can be made to be team leader but that can be declined or ignored... and what do you do then when they're throwing the game?
  24. The sabertooth helmet was originally intended for criminals only. However when the Heavy Duty pack was originally released, It was accidentally included for enforcers but within a matter of hours a patch out. GamersFirst said that anyone who had accidentally received this helmet would be allowed to keep.
  25. ...and you're right, I would normally call you that but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt of learning a lesson and leaving it at naivety. There are catfish on the internet that form romantic relationships for months just to scam people. You think half an hour is enough time to trust someone? This isn't a smart scam, it's one of the oldest one in the book with MMOs but APB's trading system is new.
