  1. ---EDIT--- I forgot to answer the first question, GMs may not be visible as they may want to obverse and collect evidence themselves of any rule breaking. Video and screenshots submitted to Customer Service will be considered as further context to the report. Evidence to recommend further investigation and not evidence to take action on. Again as said by NZB, Players are "innocent till proven guilty" and it is the staff that are the ones to prove it. So GMs may be in game monitoring suspected cheaters but not taking action there and then so they can be certain if rule breaking is occurring. It is advised not to call out suspected cheaters as they may stop their illegal actions and this will hinder investigations by staff. Please just submit a /report and do not confront or call out the suspected person. Back on to the main topic: Battle Eye was added in June 2018 but was found not to be the most fitting service in it's application, Doesn't mean it's bad, It's just not quire right for APB. May 2019 BlogPost: Easy AntiCheat was added in April. What has happened in the past few weeks which has not in the past half year that could cause a sudden increase of speed hackers or cheating in general? There's 2 factors to consider here: -Holiday events will bring back players which have been inactive. Unfortunately that does include people who have the intent of spoiling the experience for others. -"Stay Frosty" Achievement requiring players to survive an entire game round of Holiday Cheer in Beacon Construction. One tactic used commonly is to try and outrun the Nutcracker army on foot using the Fragile player modification, it will make players run twice as fast at the cost of lowered health and jumping height if i remember correctly. Character, weapon and vehicle load out made specifically with strategies for a ongoing holiday event in mind may be used in other non event districts; To re-acclimatise to items not used as frequently, to practice and improve in techniques and strategies outside the event, or simply because they forgot to change back their normal load out after leaving the event district. I am NOT saying that you are wrong and that there isn't any hackers, because there always be that tiny minority that will try to take advantage of exploits, play unfairly or outright cheat. But if it is just the past few weeks, these may be some other reasons for you to consider and look into before jumping to any conclusions.
  2. Random world events or Dynamic events were a thing briefly but it was used more for holiday events and wasn't really elaborated for actual action districts. As for all the customization and detail, I'm sure we'd all like more creative freedom but we must keep our expectations in check APB as it stands has limitations. After the Engine Upgrade it may be possible but again, it may take a while.
  3. It's broken here and there because the game engine and code wasn't build with modern or next gen technology in mind. I mean it has been stated that a number of times that the current game engine uses the strongest single CPU core, and we have CPUs with 16, 32 and even 64 cores and APB is running there with a heart of pure asthma and arthritis while Unreal 3.0 is there just focusing on the 1 single core! Also it is not uncommon that 1 small thing fixed causes several other things to break in the code. So "a few small fixes could cause unknown damages elsewhere to things completely unrelated. If you think it is that simple, then you surely can navigate to Little Orbit's online job application form. I'm sure they'd be thrilled to get an outsider's prospective on how they can improve such a juggling act.
  4. Honestly What is christmas to any other day of the year in the context of APB? Christmas is meant to be a time for peace, good will and giving, Yet I'll say it publicly that you're acting like a whiney little entitled B!tch. Like I said, the Christmas event could of been cancelled and not been done at all this year and if you don't like the event then you don't have to play it. I realise it is a worse version of Horseman because the map is unpractical and inappropriate for the gameplay style intended with the Horsman. As a Brit I think these rewards are disappointing and less interesting to me than Brexit! I really couldn't care less for this event but be thankful we got something. I've only just got home from a REALLY bad day from work, I would be happy to talk about it to you tomorrow on discord. Seriously? The halloween event which is meant to be for a district wide map, rebranded and put into a fightclub map and you're telling me 12 death was superior...? How did I notice this before, Somebody give this guy a f-cking medal! Sincerely I'm sorry to the 4 people in this thread who didn't get the half a decade old rerun. What's better: A rerun of something old with new rewards or a remake of something else with new rewards.
  5. The way I see it is releasing holiday event rewards means those that REALLY wanted the rewards but were unable to unlock them all at the time, were busy with work or were away on vacation during the holiday can now unlock those rewards. With previous events rewards now unlocked, It mean new rewards and events can be made and old events do not need to be rerun for those very few number of players that didn't do the previous events. The holiday reward packs will only be added to Armas after the holiday event has finished. As for this christmas being a rerun of headless horseman event, I'm going to say what we've been saying to other for years... D o you the f-cking engine upgrade done or not because it's 2020 and it still not ready! Matt scott said that some working on the Engine Upgrade assisted with the Christmas holiday event. Yes it is delayed but so what we are still getting the event... like shooting others in face in a virtual civil unrest is what christmas is about anyway. Don't go asking or expecting too much, Be happy Christmas wasn't cancelled like last Valentines! ...sorry but there has been so much b!tching over this holiday event, The alternative is you don't get a event or you get the same sh!t as 2015.

    Cars/Armas/Me ;)

No offence but it's a very capitalist look but not everyone does what they do just for the money. Little Orbit are not the same as the old GamersFirst, I'm pretty sure they didn't do the acquisition for customers in their thousands and the incredible profit margins from APB:Reloaded. Anyway back on topic. It has been requested for a fair number of years for a Vegas audio kit and it's one of the suggestions that would actually actually sell really well. Sorry but unpopular opinion again, you got to learn to read the fine details. We all make mistakes and do stuff on impulse but not many companies will bat an eyelid because you agreed to something but didn't check the written details. Items bought in packs do not stack so it wouldn't do any harm in game, but if a car is added to every new body kit pack then that would raise the prices for people who already have the car, and that price difference is a bit unfair as that stacks when the car doesn't! At the end of the day it's a Vegas and the body kit should work with any normal Vegas bought in game, Of course the 4x4 version of the Vegas can also be gotten with Joker Tickets.
  7. It's so frustrating that the live action makes the actual game like a pile of sh-t.

    Gifting

I'm not sure about before but the potential is scams involving real world and in game trades. 1 players says they'll gift something from armas they'll pay for if they are given in trade a Legendary Joker weapon, they don't follow through and that Legendary weapon is stolen. Same can happen in reverse that an Armas purchased item could be bought and "gifted" with the expectation of something in game exchanged but is refused it. This second point is more concerning as that is now real world currency involved in a scam for in game content. Customer Service won't revert a transfer of in game items traded. To be honest, I doubt G1C refunds would ever happen under the circumstances of scams as this may also incentivise scammers. G1C refunds are next to non existent as it is as purchases of G1C is their income. It's a purchases for virtual currency which you are paying for, not the guns or cars, even if you want the refund for the gun/car. This has had previous GamersFirst very apprehensive to implement item gifting in Armas , but it is at the end of the day down to individual's digression what they do in trades and gifts. If both parties agree to it then it is considered a legitimate transaction and Customer Service have no reason to intervene if everyone was in agreement.
  9. First off... I would of watched but for whatever reason, I can't access that. Maybe it is region restricted, taken down by Facebook or something else. I've used the ACEs Rifle for about 3 or 4 years as well and I'm sorry but I strongly disagree, The ACEs Rifle is one of the most versatile weapon and for my play style it is forgiving. It is a SMG modified for a rifle and should be treated and as such, While it has high fire rate and a quite a bit of ammo like SMGs, It should still be treated as a Automatic Rifle. You can hold fire and go fully automatic, burst fire of a few short rounds at a time is also ok. What matters is the use of Marksmanship I find. Personally by my play style, I'd rather have more bullets and just play. I do not mind Extended Mag 3 but I would have to be mindful of places I can hide while reloading. Also Bandolier 3 is a bit of a chore to resupply ammo, best done before the mission starts and there is no longer delay in reloading while in game. The point I keep coming back to is the accuracy issue and inefficient use of ammo supply is down to you, Yes by nature of this weapon will use a lot of bullets quickly but it should be done in marksman. This is a rifle, not a Sub-machine Gun or a Large Machine Gun, you should not go full Rambo and unloading your entire clip while hip firing. Speaking of LMGs, The recoil of the ACEs Rifle is not as bad as a LMG where you need to crouch to control it.
  10. Could you elaborate please, this certainly has caught my attention and got me intrigued.

    Fight Club map

This was asked in Fight Club Aslyum last night by someone, I'm sure it'll be back in the next week or so for the Christmas event. Another person in the game said that didn't count, To that I say consider the population number of districts as they. Whether or not it is possible to host 3 fight club maps as well as multiple threats for Financial, WaterFront, on top of Social District; That's another question altogether.
  12. No offence I think it is foolish to build up hype. MattScott's stance is trying not to get hopes up to prevent disappointment and upset, while trying to remain transparent on progress being made by staff to build up confidence. Again for the same reason, there are internal targets but if new issues arise or something takes longer than first thought then unfortunately that is just going to have be ready when it's ready. It's not just to prevent us from potentially being left feeling disappointed or angry due to delays, It is also for the staff so they do not feel pressured with the sense of expectation. After reading the progress made and all the laborious snags untangled along the way, I have to say I admire and thank both customer service and the developer teams through what must of been a test of patience over the past year.

    MP5/10,

The gun which I am most surprised at not been implemented or represented properly is the MP5. While there is the OCA-EW, I feel a reskin is not going do any favors in the long run. I understand it'll be hard to find a place that is not fill by other guns especially with the ACEs Rifle and ATAC guns, but I would like to see the MP5/10 introduced as a Assault Rifle variation of the OCA but slightly slower fire rate and more accuracy. Of course this is just my opinion and if others wished then it could remain as a SMG. The OCA-EW is based on the MP5K, the full name of the APB weapon is "Obeya Corps Armory, Experimental Weaponry". For an "experimental" weapon, it is one of the most common weapons found in San Paro. It was in 1980, the Iranian embassy siege in London that made the world realise the need for counter terrorism special forces. The Special Air Service's gun in use then and gun of choice now is the MP5. For a gun that has stood the test of time for over half a century, I just feel this just is an oversight and disappointment.
  14. I was so excited to see the Old Glory on sale which i missed during previous years sales that I didn't even notice that the sale discount didn't stack with Premium... This may be a bit cheeky, but any chance of a rebate?
  15. Have you seen the Tracking Customer Support thread posted by CEO Matt Scott? Staff are slowly bringing the number of customer support tickets down but it is a backlog which has been going on over multiple months, currently over 600 pending! Do they have the desire or time, Neither is the problem but rather the volume of work is constant and quite the uphill battle, so much so that more staff had to be hired! This is something people have argued throughout the entire life of APB... and I mean including APB: All Point Bulletin, the original game. I would even hazard a guess that over 60% of online games get comments saying "OMG Hackers are driving away player and if you don't do something then say bye bye to potential customers and their money!" If new players are getting tired and don't want to come back, then it is because it is a steep learning curve, no tutorial, and the matchmaking system is currently broken and exploitable with people lowering their threat level to get easier opponents! And no APB has a very bad reputation for GamersFirst, a rather bad management with staff that were tired and didn't want to listen to or interact with the players. When the old staff made mistakes, they would say don't do it again... and didn't do anything to correct the mistakes for the APB community. ...For a account made in 2015, why are you complaining about "Hackers" now?
  16. ...seriously... Keeping faction perks but both factions mix in action district missions, What is the point of having factions at all then? You call them "benefits" but when all players can play with each other regardless of faction, it is really a benefit or inequality? A holiday/special event are just that, a holiday or special occasion which all characters should get the same opportunities/rewards unless intended to be faction specific. All Fightclubs are faction mixed, the exception is Baylan Shipping which is meant to be a larger scale team death match.
  17. ...Have you ever used ANY OTHER legendary gun? They all have their unique niche abilities and characteristics, but they also are all sub-par as to not be pay to win.
  18. I do see your point in principle as a religion, but while it is sexualisation... In context, it should be considered if moral expectations probably should be inverted for this specific religion. While all religions should be treated with respect equally, they are unique as much as their respected cultures and should be treated individually as such. Sometimes we may not agree with everything relating to those cultures or religions but if one is to tolerate them, then it is their own set standards and that should be respected. Hell is the place where sinners go, If a satanist is offended by the sexualisation of a pentagram... I'm sorry but there's quite the oxymoron. 1 of the 7 deadly sins is lust! To play devil's advocate; Lust means to have a strong desire (commonly used to refer to sexual pleasure). So it could be up for a boarder interpretation, possibly implying jealousy being sinful. Edit: My personal honest opinion... I think people who follow more common religions are going to be more pissed off by the symbol being there at all, rather than those who are offended by than the sexualisation of it! The principle still stands and rightly so, but still stands in a paradox in this occasion.
  19. Modernise it? Please they hardly changed anything about the game. They saw PUBG was raising in success and added their version of Battle Royale, a move which had PUBG corp considering if there was grounds for legal action against EPIC Games. APB's resurgence (if) would be more like Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Siege.
  20. Taking what the OP said and making it TL;DR. A new map with a modern feel that is relatable to today's trends and a new advertising campaign may stand a good change for APB to have a fresh start for new players... Any advertising campaign now however would be a bad idea as APB needs repairs, upgrades and there isn't much new content to entice people since "Be all you CAN'T be". A new map after Engine Upgrade would be the ideal time to do an advertising campaign but that would be quite a time perioud and work load for LittleOrbit, I'd say we'll over a year and a half. The only problem is APB:Reloaded / GamerFirst's previous reputation may still linger to some former players, and it needs to be proven and shown that things have changed in game and with management. That or a change in some of the identity would be needed to distance LittleOrbit from the past (Not going to happen regretibly).
  21. Names are always on above the of a title, so top colour takes the priority. As others said, maybe a colour blindness test would not be a bad idea. Red and green are opposite colour and should be distinguishable from each other.
  22. Actually no, there is no guarantee that the contents of the account would be salvageable after ban. I'm not sure how LittleOrbit handle it but it could be done in waves Quarterly, Annually or after a set time period after the ban but I strongly suspect that in game content of the account (possibly including the characters) would be deleted. I can't imagine APB's databases is holding banned account's every single symbol, bullet, achievement... everything... It wouldn't unusual that banned accounts content to be purged to make space for other new accounts. Now it may be the socialist Brit in me talking here, But I believe people should be treated innocent till proven guilty. Ban innocent players and you're giving yourself more work load to investigate people that may get banned falsely again. If a GM suspends a player for 3 months that wasn't cheating... That player won't be f-cking coming back to APB! I mean they could make a new account but why when they've been considered Guilty of cheating wrongly, why would someone want to when they shouldn't have to and all their progress has been suspended. If that ever happened to me then that'd be someone else pulling the trigger for me. GMs online all the time... in all servers? Goodluck, I said this earlier in this thread: Volunteers are there equally under their own volition and are under no obligation to give cover. If you want a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year constant presence, then hire people under a contract to monitor servers but that is going to cost a arm an a leg for coverage of multiple servers and multiple districts within those servers. Just hypothetically: If each server has say 10 instances and a single GM was paid minimum hourly wage (US). It would cost $1740 a day for just 1 server to be fully covered by GMs. It would cost over 1.2 million dollars a year for Jericho and Citadel, and bare in my there is also PlayStation and Xbox versions of APB. The long and short of it is that it would be easier to just put more focus on fixing the game as scheduled and if we can have GMs then they should be focused on giving support and advice to new players and not trying to enforce the rules when Customer Support can do that at their pace. I'm sorry that you feel that this is not good enough for you, but LittleOrbit can't just make a solution to the here and now, for the here and now. It is necessary that they consider the longevity of APB. I agree with Fortune that a harsher treatment wouldn't be more effective, also quantity does not compensate for quality. You can pump a higher dose of antibiotics into a patient that is ill, but that won't speed up the recovery and would in fact cause some very serious medical complications. The same way that double the temperature won't cook food in half the time, you'll just burn the outside of the food while inside it remains raw uncooked... if it didn't catch on fire!
  23. There are suggestions that can bring APB back to life, then there is suggesting a complete remake from the ground up... We known for a while that APB is older than most eSports games and Grand Theft Auto Online exists. You cannot compare APB to Final Fantasy or Grand Theft Auto Online. Final Fantasy has been around longer than I've been alive! I mean it's a game franchise that has been on more platforms than Super Mario! Grand Theft Auto 4 was released before APB even went into beta testings. When GTA 4 was release, some modders made a multiplayer mode as they did with GTA San Andreas. And I'm sure that Rock Star was aware of APB:All Point Bulletin's emergence but the nature of the games are different and APB was so much smaller and just starting out that RockStar don't have a reason to care. Seeing the success of other massive Multiplayer Online games and with a huge fan base already, they probably didn't feel any great rush or pressure to make GTA Online. These companies have years of experience and have the capability to make new games, remake old games, hell they probably could make a full length live action movie... Then we got littleOrbit that has released 2 guns (3 if you consider the Showstopper variants), a new game mode which is still being refined, 2 new contact due. LittleOrbit has only been here for just over a year, The staff are working to capacity with the Unreal Engine 3.5 upgrade and trying to answer Customer Support tickets. Does it look like there is the capacity to completely remake APB from the ground up? I'd like everything you suggest as much as the next person and yourself but be realistic.
  24. I think the question should rather be what makes anyone think it'll be any faster regardless if someone posts on a forum which sony are not going to look at! I take it by the tone of OP that you have an idea what Sony are like.
  25. I wouldn't say Little Orbit don't care, rather they are enthusiastic but came too late and were learning on the job... When APB is that far on a decline, the margin for error and planning is thin. While one can forgive naivety the once, Little Orbit was foolish in repeating the same mistakes and seeming to learn things the hard way rather than taking a moment to learn from mistakes the first time.
