  1. I won't lie. When I saw the thread's title, I thought this was some sort of click bait for some sh-t post meme but I did actually laugh. GG, nice find!
  2. How many GMs there are and what times zones they're in... How many GMs have you seen in this year? Give yourself a cookie if you seen a GM more than once a month!
  3. If you have money in the double or even tripple digit millions then I don't see why it can't be considered as a spin off, I mean it is gamersfirst!
  4. Are you like 15 or just REALLY BORED? I find it hard to believe this is a serious suggestion thread.
  5. Riot died within a matter of days... What makes you think this is going to be self sustaining. Riot was a new game mode with custom new models for a remade financial map... this was a significant change to APB. It is meant to be a compromise Battle Royale, What makes you think your large What you just suggested IS what Little Orbit intended and are working toward making Riot. Riot is still in beta. Where you even online between 2015 and 2018. GamersFirst didn't communicate with the playerbase, It was like the servers were doing more work than the staff! Bare in mind all this potential can still be done with a lot of new content, game modes and features; but it is because of Unreal Engine 3.0's limitations that this potential couldn't/can't be unlocked! This is why Unreal Engine 3.5 is a priority and is being worked on in the background.
  6. I think you are confused what the word "political" means.
  7. This is one of those things which unreal engine 3.5 could make possible once implemented. Personally as a enf, I'd like to have the option of being able to switch between 2 different sirens at at toggle, and to have the ability to turn lights and sirens on and off independently of each other. For criminals, vehicle underglow lighting, and lastly all chracters regardless of faction could customise the type of head light bulbs.
  8. Congrats to you if you found a purpose on in life that makes you feel whole and complete. Even with the most ideal of job which you love and enjoy, there are good and bad days and that one prat that just has to cause drama. For decades, games have been an escapsim for adults from the stresses of responsibilities and obligations. Granted APB is an addiction and not a good one, but it sure beats the potential risk of over dosing and waking up to find out you've done something regretful. ...It's on par with smoking!
  9. I have said it before that half of the problem is that APB isn't the most social of games with player's interactions normally being via written text. beyond that there isn't much to ground people down and make them feel like their fellow players are actually people who they can relate with. The secondary issue is that with a questionable matchmaking/threat system which doesn't prevent dethreating or give a fair representation of skills of players, it gives a steep learning curve for new players and over competitiveness for older players. Now changing one's mindset and outlook on how they approach and conduct themselves in game can help but a overhaul of how the game handles it's players is also needed.

We need more variety in APB as well as new content, but I think the community and Little Orbit need to stop and seriously reconsider what APB:Reloaded should be working towards after seeing the results of Riot after all that hard work leading up to it. While we would all like to see new stuff like this, none of us want staff focused on something which is going to take a lot of work and time only for it to flop and act as a distraction to more important work that could be high priority or other new content which may actually be more successful. My concern is that it would have the same outcome as Riot with a week of excitement of something new and then everything returns to normal. Riot was meant to be potentially game changing for APB:Reloaded, Racing District is a catering to veteran players for the sake of a old meme, and to new players it would be a new mini game mode. But beyond that it doesn't have much value and it's not game changing enough to justify such a work demand on staff right now when APB is in a delicate state in my opinion.
  11. Translation: "Does APB need this gameplay?" (2013) There was a Kickstarter for a wall running spin off game "APB:Vendetta" however the kickstarted proposal was taken very badly by the community as APB:Reloaded was starting to feel outdated and bugs were still popping up after every weekly patch due to old Real Time Worlds coding needing to be updated and replaced. So should APB have wall running in the main game? The short answer is no. The long answer is no because APB:Reloaded is not designed to accommodate wall running mechanics. Bare in mind that APB:Reloaded will kick players for going out of bounds. moving vehicles and map designs would need to be updated or changed. There would just be too much work to do in making APB:Reloaded suitable for wall running and even then some objects and codes will just outright not be compatible. Personally Adding wall running would make APB feel like Call of Duty to me and changing the feel of what the game is about. In the end it would be easier to make a completely new spin of game "APB:Vendetta", but it was clear at the time that it was not what people wanted.
  12. 16 additional cloth item slots isn't going to make much difference if you've used up all 66 already, hardware and software limitations will remain as a hard lock in the end. During some previous VERY RARE circumstances and events, GamersFirst did give clothes, car, symbols, music and gun slot inventory unlocks. Sometimes it was done as a reward during a GM event or done after a significant hardware upgrade to servers as the capacity increased. This is one of those things that is completely at senior staff's digression.
  13. The game is boring as hell, even though the engine upgrade will give us next to no new content upon release and it may even mean the game cannot run at all in it's current state... release it because APB is boring. GG well played comedian
  14. Working in the morning so don't have much choice but to join Jericho's
  15. With a response like that, I wouldn't be surprised if you were related to Pound of Flesh. Hind sight is 20/20, no one knew if Riot was going to be good enough to bring in new players, Pound of Flesh said it'd be the last nail in the coffin and would be the actual thing that kills APB. APB has been dying/has been dead for a while. It is neither the that caused APB to die nor is it breaking even with numbers. Hardly a hiccup or an anomaly numbers-wise. Again if you think APB was ever going to get 100 million people, You're delusional It wasn't ever realistically going to happen and I say this for 2 main reasons: -Little Orbit i small company and just took over, they hardly have the human resources to cover their customer service and the Unreal Engine upgrade to 3.5 is going as fast as it can. They don't have the capacity to do the marketing like that of PUBG, Fortnite or Apex Legends. -On top of the business limitation, Again I will say it... APB is commonly described as looking like a PS2 game, Who is seriously going to play this APB in this state? If RIOT was a TRUE battle royale mode and it's release date was the same, every flossing kid would be sh-tting on APB! Long loading times, graphics that make some mobile games look good, lag/latency issues... If we had even half a million players join APB, then every single server and district would crash! That's the reality of it. Both Little Orbit and APB:Reloaded do not have capacity to implement and sustain a true battle royale mode then and now. The compromise is meant to be for everyone, to the people who want a BR (including Little Orbit) with those who don't want a BR mode in mind... The flaw with compromises is that it's a concept where a entity tries to cater to everyone with everyone else in mind, but in doing so fails to cater to anyone properly. You can't please all of the people all of the time, it's impressive if they can please all of the people ANY of the time to be honest.
  16. So some guy is showing off to his clan mates by stomping on new players... What is naming and shaming going to do seriously? It'll probably give him credit and make him validated, give him the attention he seeks and craves and isn't getting at home! Seriously It doesn't make you look any better and he won't feel any worse if you call him out on it. The matchmaking and threat system needs a rework and it is something on the To-Do list with Little Orbit, but if you're feeling frustrated then come back some other time of day, play in another district or just don't bother playing at all. Don't feel the troll.
  17. There are some players in APB who just feel Kill Death ratio is all that matters and makes them feel all warm and fuzzy in the pants but this isn't Call of Duty. Either attacking, defending or capture and hold a objective, there are some who rather just go out and just kill other players because they can and doesn't help the team. At times you do need a brazen person to just distract and delay opponents but not when time is critical and you're on the back foot. That came across as broken English but I do somewhat agree with Yood, and I do understand where the OP is coming from. Unfortunately I have to believe that the play style is reflecting on the kind of person they are to a degree, rather just do their own thing to make themselve look big with a big result despite not achieving the actual object. Whatever makes their peen feel good with bragging right, each into their own.
  18. Another Chaos District but for what? Testing the server resilience would be give a bit of a counter productive till after the UE3.5 testing has been done, there have been a multitude of problems server side for a number of years but I was hazard a guess that it is for the same reasons on the client side.
  19. Thank you to all the staff at Little Orbit and SPCT for what you guys are doing. This was the news a lot of people have been wanting. It feels so close yet so far but keep up the hard work.
  20. First off... Did you serious just say groovy? Well ok, lets get something clear. No one asked for Riot to be the way it was, some wanted a pure Battle Royale, some wanted something different, I don't think anyone wanted a hybrid. Pound has blamed Little Orbit for failure to meet the (or any) mark when taking over from GamersFirst, He stated multiple times that Riot would be the death of APB and APB is still alive. I'm sorry but he has no credibility in my opinion if he blames the game's crash on the new management when the correlation of player population has been on a negative crashing trajectory for the past 4 to 5 years. Despite Riot, the population numbers did not have a sudden drop and seems to be on a course with the same trajectory with player numbers depleting gradually. Pound would like APB to be the next big Battle Royale game. To his credit, he does have the strong argument that everyone thought / said that the Battle Royale craze had come and gone and now would be too late to make a new BR game. Then Apex - Legends came out and proved everyone wrong. I'd like Pound of Flesh: How many Battle Royal games that are older than 5 years old have made a come back and are being successful? Even H1Z1 King of the Kill was released as Steam Early Access in 2015 and the hype died quickly with technical problems left, right and centre. So that's neither 5 years old and has only 4 or 5k players. I'm sorry but you can't compare apples to oranges, especially is the orange is so old that even the moss died out on it! APB turn 10 years old next Autumn... Without the engine upgrade or new content, who is going to give a f-ck about APB especially with the GamersFirst's name still associated. Seriously that needs chemotherapy! GamersFirst used to be mocked as "MoneyFirst" for extortionate prices, and with little to no care of what the players actually want. And then APB tries to do a battle royale... with GamersFirst still there. Totally not hoping on the band wagon and being a sell out. Take off the rose tinted glasses and smell the dried up burnt coffee! APB isn't going to go back to the way it used to be. That doesn't mean we have to give up hope and abandon ship yet, but Pound of Flesh is in denial and is lying to himself almost as a coping mechanism for the fact he streams APB daily when he probably doesn't want to anymore. Again What Matt Scott wanted Riot to be, no one else wanted because it was a compromise but we just put up with a compromise because we can't all have what we want and it's better than nothing! Check the life insurance and start planning funeral arrangements or whatever but just accept it, APB has been sick and slow dying of old age for a long time now. It's easy to find someone to blame but what is the point in that when it change nothing.

    Add Login Rewards

APB:Reloaded did trail a daily log in system but the tracker had some issue and needed further work. It wasn't reinstated... although I'm not sure why. Honestly this would be a incentive to which I can only described as "Cute", for new players this may encourage them to try and stay more active for longer but it's a not going to be a great change to the game.
  22. I think i got category 2 from the Redhill Institute of Technology ARG. Nothing via email or in my Armas Redeem page
  23. And my point is I've seen this suggestion made a hundred times and as valid as the concern and upset is, a hard lock of threat is a hasty suggestion which doesn't fix the underlying issue. I know it's unfair, I know there isn't really a reasonable starting point and I understand the system is broken. The system needs to be redone, just hard locking threat is a sticking plaster to a wound that won't heal. Your suggestion won't work in the way you think it will nor will it last as long as you think before people find a work around. There was a Reffer a Friend beta test back under G1 that rewarded the player for reffering someone but no reward for the new account and no new rules to go with it. Players made new accounts and played hours so each other can just get a exclusive gun. That was done on mass and the project was suspended after I think 3 months, no bans were made as G1 felt they were partly responsible. ... That kind of thing doesn't happen by accident, if they can find a way to abuse the system like dethreating then some will put effort into it! ...just be careful what you wish for.
  24. Please tell me this was a joke because I broke my nose face-palming.
