  1. I did mention this and it's something to ponder over to balance out. Not sure how to make it appropriate but making it PVP should be a thing as APB is a PVP game since the begainning. Matt Scott said that it is his intention to have this address with a criminal's equivalent although no further elaboration what it might be or how it would work, piority goes to RIOT and the New Engine, it is on the To-Do list though. Primarily as an enforcer, care to elaborate what that is? Nothing comes to mind... I remember back in the day when I just used my pioneer to push criminal's cars into store fronts and garages while they were on mission and just help myself to loot. Yeah that got patched out but they didn't expect a bent cop in San Paro? Enforcers cannot get money from anything remotely similar to the concepts of ram raiding or mugging. Enforcers are relight on criminal in district to get stolen items to return to contacts. Turning in vehicles that are stolen either for chop shop or for impound has always been in game and not something that is contested about. It was not mentioned in this thread or any other because it's not really that relevant. You still need criminals to have stolen cars! Also turning in stolen vehicles even high value/armoured cars in pristine condition isn't as quick as ram raiding and as such doesn't make as much money. Yes there is a lot of stolen cars in a populated server, but you have to find them and then drive to a impound that isn't on cooldown. Criminals can just find nearly any store front or garage (sometimes within metres of a contact) and damaged property will respawn despite having a cooldown too. This is a certainty which Enforcers do not have. And how long will that last before they change districts, servers or go back to playing a Battle Royale game instead?
  2. Well notoriety goes up for criminal for ram raiding and mugging, so I thought it was a given with Enfs. Just got to factor in that with warrants, not every door can / should be busted in, while criminals can just break into almost any garage door or store front they like.
  3. The fact some buildings have warrants and other's don't would make the police searches balanced and not overly used. However dirty money cash might want to be raised slightly to compensate for less number of building to be searched. A part of me thinks that Enforcers doing searched uncontested would be a bit unfair but criminals witnessing enforcers I feel wouldn't fitting...
  4. Depends on the person, most cheaters are either children/teenagers that just want to win but go about it the wrong way, or people that from a culture where cheating and taking advantage of system are not frowned up as strongly. Some people can and will change but again not everyone are going to. I'm sure most of us can say we're not the same people we used to be in highschool, but this doesn't mean we shouldn't have permanent bans or a limited number of chances.
  5. I believe that gear packs and bundled are to be reviewed as the recent changes to Armas didn't quite factor in how they worked... or something along those lines.
  6. Well to be a bit frank, It's easy and I'm sure everyone could post a new threat with a 1 line suggestion for a new district. Everyone wants new content but to just say "casino district" is going to mean different thing to different people. A new action district would be great, maybe themes around Las Vegas but I don't see how it would be fitting the theme of APB completely. San Paro just isn't a city of glitz, glamour and shining lights... A extension to Social district with gambling mini game has been suggested before but wouldn't be a bad thing, the old social district cinema always felt a bit hollow... Again it's easy to say yes to a concept but without substance to the concept it's just open to interpretation and a bit pie in the sky. Without that substance, your poll is not going to be a good representation of what people expect or want... You put up a poll asking people if they'd like a casino district but what is it going to look like, what is it going to feature, it's it a new action district or social district extension, if it is an action district then will there be games you can interact with... A lack of substance to a closed yes or no question is what caused the UK's brexit to be late and failing! Without trying to sound rude there is a General Discussion forum, but this is a Suggestions subforum and there isn't really enough detail here to consider it. What people vote for isn't always what they're going to get if it's not clarified.
  7. Care to elaborate what this district would have and be like?
  8. So just to confirm that ALL times are in PM PDT for conversion? While not everyone can translate 24 hours time into 12, a 24 hour time leaves little to no room for ambiguity.
  9. Just 1 question... ...Will there be brownies?
  10. I've been patient and actually forgot about this after the past week of work with only the 1 day off. I got my tinfoil hat but I already got them from a previous event, but was hoping i got tier 2 more.
  11. The problem is not the vast numbers of cheaters... I mean there is under 1000 active concurrent players. The problem people complain about with cheaters is the fact they reroll and make new account or not being banned quickly enough. It's probably under 120 people in all of APB but there is also a lot of players that just find APB to be a steep learning curve. That on top of a match making and threat system which isn't really working as intended. The concern over cheaters is high despite the numbers are actually low, it is just a high frequency. It's like thinking there is a bee hive somewhere in your house because you're seen a dozen bees around your house. ...no it's the same 2 bees which you've seen 6 time each, because they can't get out the windows!
  12. A person might say you like to strike the iron while it's hot. ...I'm not going to be that person regrettably, Easter holiday event just came out yesterday. We saw the Redhill ARG website with a countdown for RIOT's released, this is why it is best for staff to just get on with work not to to over hype things when there is going to anguish (for lack of a better word) if and when delays occur. I think we all know the feeling of pressure when working and someone is demanding to hurry up when you are going as fast as you can. One would hazard a guess this isn't your first forum account, but we're all been waiting for years and a few pictures isn't going to make me feel much better having with a carrot on a stick. He posted this last week and he said the word we've all groan at with a trademark, but he did already answer your question. Note the word "hoping".
  13. I think we all knew the reason why. Maybe inventory limitations could be expanded with the new game engine or maybe it is just going to cause bottle-knecking issues on the network and server side. I would like to make more outfits and clothes but we got to be realistic.

    Some ideas.

Why even move this topic? All of those suggestions are either already being worked on or are planned for the future.
  15. One doesn't really need a lot... or ANY experience with coding or testing to know that it something isn't quite right when Christmas game assests show up in Easter! This feels so rushed and with less than minimal quality control check/testing, It feels like no one went to double check what was in this. Did LittleOrbit seriously forget Easter was a thing on a specific time of year? GamersFirst have done some big oversights in the past but nothing quite this silly and blatantly obvious. How could anyone get Christmas mixed up with Easter?!
  16. What made Little Orbit think it was ever a good idea to try and release RIOT a matter of a few weeks before easter???
  17. I think this is more telling of the changing times. Back 10 years ago, most MMos were adventure RPGs with new items having to be unlocked through progression. More new content is needed for newer players but Gamers First was trying to extend gameplay for maxed rank players. Battle Royal is a genre which is popular but while Riot is due, we can't compare APB to a BR game. By design BR doest have progression as such. With questionable amount of content and game play value, in the past it may of been consider for a mini game mode but not taken seriously as a genre or stand alone game. Riot may compensate for this but in the core APB game, it is another thing for LO to think on. There is still a strong argument for a proper tutorial. I heard the next 2 action district contacts will be mid teir.
  18. Today I saw another thread saying something has been making the game feel unfair for new players again, I won’t go into detail or talk about that thread here out of courtesy and respect. While LittleOrbit has to consider how to address such issues. One has to remember in order to learn to walk, there are going to be a few falls and of course a person has to learn to walk before they can run. Regrettably new players express frequently that there is a steep learning curve to APB and that game play isn’t fair either because of match making, certain in game content, or by actions of their opponents. This is something LittleOrbit will have to reflect on but I wanted to share some advice which could be helpful to both experienced players and new players for a healthier outlook on APB. After a number of years I've seen and personally experienced fits of outrage to some scenarios which occur in game. First off to address the elephant in the room, the community is passionate and competitive which can be misconstrued. Yes it can get out of hand as people get carried away in the moment. I personally believe that the perception of the APB community being toxic isn’t far from wrong... But it just it, it is a perception... a way we go about viewing things which may be influenced by our mental approach to such subject and entities. I also believe part of the issue down to a lack of grounding and dehumanisation of other players. Without a face or voice, they are but a character with name has some diminished qualities, although this is of course subliminal and completely unintended. Those are just my personal beliefs, I'm not a psychologist or anything but feel free to give this post a downvote and you can choose to reconsider that later is you should so wish. ...or not, you troll lol. --- Don't be afraid or take challenges negatively as much as one can, To get better at something one has take themselves out of their comfort zone. And that isn’t going to happen playing the same ranks or threat levels or using the same load out for everything. To improve in APB, I didn't take advice from other APB players but actually took inspiration from professional level eSports... Rainbow 6 Pro Leage to be exact. The common and consistent comment coming from eSports contenders is that every loss is an opportunity to improve, after each match the teams would rewatch the previous game to see how what they could have done to get a differently to get a better outcome. After every game, pause with reflection of how you could of handled yourself differently in that last game and where there is room for improvement. Sometimes it is unfortunate that situations posed are just unavoidable and nothing further could be done to change the outcome. Maybe a location is just too tight with no other access with defence so strong; it could be you were outnumbered and outgunned. Or even that the opponent is resorting to actions which are unfair and break the rules. At such times it is not wrong to feel that it is unacceptable, but it would be for the best to just move on and not let it affect your gaming session. So try to experiment with different guns, vehicles and mods and don’t settle for a second best comfort zone. Don’t worry if you lost a round, match or even every game. Everyone have good and bad days, but try to find the points in missions where you could of gone about things better. Compliment those honed skills with situational awareness and lessons learnt from past mistakes, it is then that you’ll best utilise your load outs for the environment, objective and opponent's loadout. It should go without saying celebrate the good points of the game, have fun because nobody is perfect... ...although Skay is pretty OP... “The person who doesn’t make mistakes is unlikely to make anything” ~Paul Arden
  19. Well if people rage quit then that's more telling of the individuals. APB is competitive and can be stressful but cheating isn't any more rampant than any other game. At the end of the day some lessons need to be learn the hard way, sometimes the only way to get better is to be taken out of your comfort zone and locking threats isn't going to help with that. It may sound old fashioned, it may sound harsh but people don't get to max rank by rage quitting. If people feel so strongly that indeed it does need to be considered on how to be addressed. I believe a review into the threat system and matchmaking is going to happen but priority is to the game engine. This would make the game more stable for most computers/servers, and possibly even easier to work with for staff. MattScott said that he would like to introduce "Phasing" although it has a number of people confused if Phasing is referring to match making between districts or segregating players from others when entering a mission.
  20. More than happy to hear other people's opinions and perspectives, If someone thinks deployable shields are broken or over powered then I'd like to hear their reasoning. Deployable shields are consumables so are limited, and serve as a temporary extra layer of defence, I have gone against an opponent that is just in an open area or stuck in a corner and use a shield as a delaying tactic hastily without any options of escape. It is a really beneficial defensive tool but you some basic plan or strategy as to how you're going to use it. As cookie said it can block ladders, but after it is destroyed then anyone that attempts to replace it at the ladder would be exposing themselves to gun fire. It results in a stand off/ambush which would of happened at the ladder anyway.
  21. It took me a while but I found a old screenshot I took back before New Cross skate park extension was added. This probably was about... 2012/13?
  22. Assault rifle low to mid range, SMG fire rate... It's a fairly good all-rounder and people may feel like their efforts/skills are undermined by another player with a gun that is just actually pretty good in most scenarios.
  23. Honestly Mc Donalds can get away with no customer service because it's so big and the customers are paying for what they get. To have put no effort into customer service or support is going to lose customers and profits with a business this small and such a small player base... If you think Little Orbit do not care and are only in it for the money then what does that make Old GamersFirst?
  24. Well I think if you feel so strongly about it that you need to make a forum post, then maybe it would be worth it. But customer service be take as long as they need, they are back logged with a lot of reports and are slowly catching up. MattScott has been keeping us updated with Customer Service progress, but again they'll take as long as they need to.
