  1. Most people would react in a way that is innocent and say they would of stopped upon request after being caught red handed. Also I think most people would not accept "It's just a prank" as a defence for something you admit to know full well is going to cause frustration and potentially against the rules. It may be a joke but maybe save your jokes for friends that you know will find it funny. Excuses and If it was harmless aside, It's actions like this that could instigates actions from Little Orbit which impacts the wider gameplay.
  2. With a light pinky red tracer and small hearts
  3. There was no thread for open feedback on Social District (General Discussion) for this event, so I thought I'd put my 2 cents in feeling a bit deflated and allowing others to post their thoughts. It's part of a pack? ...well dang...
  4. 1 day's notice for a event that is going on for 1 day? It's a holiday for some but not a holiday for others, not everyone can sit around all day to find this loveless manchild! What is the point of this? Also can I just say I unfortunately seem to be proven wrong after having a discussion with someone that said lessons weren't learnt from past events. The Autumn Assault Skin was made because it originally was going to reward a skin that was previously rewarded from an event. 3D glasses was a reward from an event I have won in the past... although I can't remember what it was from, 2014 I think with LadyTiggs? my memory is blurring beyond 2015... Also 5 day premium,100 G1C which is just a JMB in value or a 90-day weapon trial? Ok fair enough that we don't want to over incentivise people to winning repeatedly again like with Autumn Assault but with a max rank character, there's no real worth while reward for a veteran player. Anyway I was hoping that Autumn Assault wouldn't repeat but it seems like I might of been proven wrong. Is there anything else going because that surely can't just be it!
  5. It's not my fault you did 2 attempts, like a dog that just won't let go of a stick! lol
  6. Oh I noticed but you'd be broke if I pointed out every mistake.
  7. It is the typical trend that the event starts pretty much a day before, after or on the day of the holiday. And indeed it lasts for 2 weeks, unless there is a DDoS then there might be an extension out of consideration.
  8. WitchQueen repeated a sentence he already said once for a second time.
  9. While language packs for gameplay dialog is something that is a fair comment to consider. At the moment despite different languages offered by the game, there is only modern Latin/English letters for symbols. It would be fair to get all supported dialog languages respected characters, but different language packs for symbol creation is going to be complex and need manual work by staff to do. As harsh as it sounds, San Paro is a game based in the US and Russian isn't a language that is spoken in the city. The primary language of San Paro is obviously English, the second most spoken language is actually Korean followed by Spanish. (Origin languages, they may be variations). These languages are reflected in writing across the city. While Little Orbit encourages diversity and will try to cater to as many people as possible, It's not feasible to support every language.
  10. That's a concept and not a production version.
  11. I admit that I am quite straight forward and blunt with my criticism but it is meant in a constructive manner, It is a little annoying that sometime a suggestion made over 100 times is repeated but you may genuinely bring sometime new to the table that no one ever considered. Again your's and other's thoughts in feedback can't be considered if they're not written down or spoken. It is a passionate community and everyone have their views and opinions. Yesterday I was in a talking to a streamer and we were talking about if APB should have a Battle Royale mode and if so how would that implicate the wider game, It was VERY heated debate but while we both disagreed and I was ready to hit the unfollow button and have breakfast. After staying up most of the night we came to the conclusion that we were both wanted the same thing but were just going about it completely opposite ways to what could be the completely same result. Just because people don't agree, doesn't mean one should give up and just quit. ...On a more serious note: WHY WON'T THEY JUST BAN ME! Can I have a hug and a down vote please?
  12. I empathise with the OP. Unfortunately in the past I have had multiple team mates that were not putting effort into getting kills or achieve the objective to dethreat. Sometimes one has to ask if it is worth continuing the mission that is unfair by the rule's standards, Yet it is against the rules to stop play despite someone else is throwing your game? Considered what would an equivalent be? The first thing to come to mind from the real world is the right to use force in the case of self defence or the preservation of someone else's life when endangered. A hostile threat that is actively being violent may get away with it, but yet the civilian rescuer could convicted of assault? A 3 vs 3 game but 2 teammates on one side are deliberately not putting in effort despite being above rank 100 and gold. The 3rd team player is just left there taking a beating. This is a scenario I have been in before sadly. What I've done in the past when this occurs is give my apologies to the opposing team and declare a forfeit if in a 2 player team. If it was a 3 player team then consider the third team mate and ask if they wish to continue. I have said it in another thread that a person that griefs can cause the dethreating of a teammate and wastes the time of both teams. Two wrongs do not make a right but without an alternative, isn't there an argument for the reserving the right to forfeit in circumstances unfair by the standards of the game's rules?
  13. Personally if I could wave a magic wand and change the guns inventory classifications, I'd have Assault Rifles and Rifles changed into: Automatic Rifles, Semi Auto Rifles and Marksman Rifles. I Just cannot understand why some carbines that shoot faster than fully automatic rifles were counting towards Markman role when you don't use Marksmanship! Sorry for that tangent, It was always a anomaly that was a little bit of a pet peeve of mine. Back on topic, It does beg the question of where's the OCSAR's place is meant to be in APB when it hasn't got many flaws. The Ntec is a good all-rounder but It's range and accuracy are reasonable, With the OCSAR it just doesn't feel quite right without a balanced level of weaknesses. For a larger rifle with a longer barrel, one would of thought it would be medium to long range but yet it still a bit too comfortable in close range with hipfiring.
  14. I'm sorry to say that the silent majority has been quite quiet, and as such players that left may not be making their voices heard. My friends that used to play APB and left all said that they would reconsider rejoining for the following reasons: Engine Upgrade, New anti-cheat implementation, New content for max rank players and server stability. The 1 friends that said they'd rather not rejoin, they expressed that it's because they've moved on in life. You don't need to be active in game to be active in forum. If these people don't use their voice then their opinions won't be heard. But in my honest opinion these car mechanics are superficial and not a high priority at this time, It doesn't seem quite the normal reaction to quit a game because car interaction mechanics. I will agree that vehicles should deal damage relative to speed and not just instantly kill at 5 mph. Without a doubt the car mechanics are dated and need to be reworked to make them more reasonable in gameplay. Was there anything else you feel should be addressed?
  15. So RIOT was built with 3.5 in mind, that does put a part of my mind at ease With the population number hovering where it is, this may be a good strategic move to keep the concurrent player numbers up after valentines. It is a gamble and I don't like gambles into the unknown but this is controlled as it can get I guess.
  16. It may be healthy to do a total fresh install, Some aspects unfortunately may need the game to be fully reinstalled and that would be out of staff's hands. We just simply don't know. Normal players do not have a lot of information, Little Orbit staff and SPCT are also under Non-Disclosure Agreements. So it is highly unlikely that any further information will come about till preparations are put into place for Unreal Engine 3.5's implementation. One would not only hope, but expect Little Orbit to have this transition to be as smooth as possible with the minimal downtime and inconvenience to all.
  17. At this time it is not known when the engine upgrade will come but it should be in the new few months. (speculation): You shouldn't need to download the whole game again, It should update the current game but it will be a big update.
  18. If Little Orbit is thinking of releasing the new game mode before EU3.5 then I'm sorry to say that will be a mistake. Not only will it give people first impressions based on the old engine (with Jericho being DDoSed and Citidel harassed by speed hacks) but the Engine Upgrade may throw up some glitches and bugs for the new game mode when it is released. It takes as little as 7 seconds to form first impressions and they can last a life time, One would of thought these potentially vastly sub par experience is not what Little Orbit would want for people who come to return or joining APB for the first time.
  19. MattScott said that Little Orbit will look for something to balance out Less Than Lethal for criminals. Honestly as person who plays primarily enforcer, I have yet to find someone who is who is primarily a criminal with a reason to criminal to have LTL that isn't just "Because Enfs having LTL is OP/Unbalanced" or "I want Enforcers to feel the frustrations of being arrested". I don't think this is the right manner to consider new content, especially when Less than Lethal is slower to get stuns and adds the extra aspects of having to conduct the arrest. Less than Lethal is a grind and I'd even say a burden unless you use Perc + Pig to get cop rank up, But I try to not be that person though. I acknowledge that there is little for criminals to be tolerant of Enforcers with LTL, but that's a short fall for the Criminal Faction that was never addressed. A fair number Light bars, beacons, badges and police uniform are only unlockable by Less Than Lethal honourable arrests through Cop rank. Without anything new to the table, it just seem out of spite and frustration which is just is unnecessary and offers nothing for Enforcers to counter balance Ram Raiding and Mugging in return. I just see no reason, incentive or content to give criminals Less than Lethal at this time. If anyone has any suggestion or any other reason then I'd be pleased to hear them as to get a different outlook for consideration.
  20. While there is a fair number of reports and a lot of work going into each and ever report, the number of streamers/youtuber that use banned practices are so small that the demand wouldn't justify such a system. How can any person or system prioritise a streamer with a cross hair shader overlay while doing missions, over a person using an aim bot and speed hack in fightclub for example? As of new year's day 2015 Cross hair shaders were banned. Before that I admit to using them and when I removed them, what I found was that my aim was actually worse than I expected it to be overall... but saying that, the cross hairs didn't make me greatly better either. Overtime when you don't practice marksmanship or hip fire properly, one become dependant on the shader then you become lazy with your aim. The only real advantage is when the reticles disappear while sprinting or falling. Another thing to remember is while your aim may be more accurate, but that doesn't mean your gun is. The only argument against shaders I find is "why should others be allowed when I can't", there are far worse things for staff to worry about. I wouldn't go back to using a shaders and frankly the whole debate around them is bigger than the actual issue I feel. This is just one of those times I feel we should just leave Customer Support be because we don't know what it's like doing their job, and while it may be constructive and healthy to debate these things, I don't think staff would appreciate being second guessed all the time.
  21. Under previous ownership, there most likely would not of been a engine upgrade at all the anti-cheat system wasn't updated. In 2017 I was actually wanting APB:Reloaded servers shut down, saving the players that pain of GamersFirst's was to go into potential bankruptcy! APB has been at worse places and right now we're recovering from being at a very bad place.
  22. So what you're saying is like a general broadcast in game that says *character's name here* has been detected as cheating? Little Orbit removed name and shame as it furthered toxic behaviour... A live broadcast of people of cheating would surely only server to give them infamy. You're not seriously suggesting this, It's their a minutes of having their name plastered over the server for all to see. Regardless if they're streaming or recording for Youtube. Like some people in LA run from the cops just for fun, and if they get a news helicopter to cover their hot pursuit then they've achieved fame! It's giving them a spotlight, That's is how they will see it and that is exactly what some of these people want!
  23. Well done to Matt Scott and all of Little Orbit, It has been a stark difference from what APB used to be with staff actually come across as ignoring or intimidated by the player base. While there has been a steep learning curve, but the enthusiasm means more than I think anyone at Little Orbit realise. Hip-hip...
  24. Not even if the customers were robbed to? You're not wrong. While the in the legal jargon pile It does state that Little Orbit and Gamers First do bare little to no responsibility on a range of matters. But as for the premium membership users have paid for a service that cannot be delivered, It would be in customer service's best interest to keep these users from becoming upset. It would be seen as an act of generosity and in good faith. It depends how far consume rights extend, in this case it doesn't cover Premium Membership. As there isn't an event going on, again there isn't much reason to compensate other than just to keep the playerbase feeling valued and cared about.
