Tips on breaking the ntec
NotZombieBiscuit replied to OCrazyGuyO's topic in General Discussion Archive
It isn't about how it performs. It is about the N-tec being the only easily accessible all around AR besides the STAR. Every other gun in that category requires your wallet, 'joker boxes', or farming tickets. -
What if you don't have friends? Like me.

Na. No point and way more effort than it is worth.

Tips on breaking the ntec

Na dude. Don't you want the gameplay for the majority of players to only be CQC or long range unless you open up your wallet? -
Tips on breaking the ntec

People still don't understand that nerfing the n-tec doesn't do anything and just leaves a mid-range/all around AR vacuum left in its place. Even the devs don't realise that. -
Or that.

They still don't understand. -
ALIG is great.

Don't worry game will be dead after engine update anyway.
-
Just go play a different Halloween event in a different game.

RealTime Worlds... 2022 come back rumors
NotZombieBiscuit replied to Mercedeez's topic in General Discussion Archive
People always forget about that. The amount of work that not just RTW, but getting in EPIC themselves, to turn the very early version of EU3 in to a mutated monster to get APB to work. -
Maybe they are just bad?

What's your opinion on explosives in Asylum?
NotZombieBiscuit replied to SkrotN's topic in General Discussion Archive
I don't like people using PMGs and OCAs in Asylum. Let's disable that then too while we are at it? Or shotgun corner peeking spawns. -
RealTime Worlds... 2022 come back rumors
NotZombieBiscuit replied to Mercedeez's topic in General Discussion Archive
RTW got 100mil in investment funding* that included 3-4 projects not just APB. APB was not 100mil, pretty common misconception. -
You realize macros can't fire faster than the limit right? You can easily hit the limit by just clicking normally.

RealTime Worlds... 2022 come back rumors
NotZombieBiscuit replied to Mercedeez's topic in General Discussion Archive
I've spent thousands on APB and even I wouldn't pay 60$ for an entry fee on it. That's just a stupid way to block off population. Games like this survive on them being entry free. Also RTW is gone and isn't coming back. Everyone that was on it either went to another company, or G1 and subsequently to other companies. There is no rumor going around. -
APB Single-player / Co-op PVE Modes
NotZombieBiscuit replied to CatilyaReportingAgent's topic in Game
This is more effort than it is really worth. -
More reason for delusional too.

The brazil server got merged because you guys didn't have enough players.

The software they are using now is very likely the same software they were using then. Game Dev software really hasn't changed that much in the past decade and a bit. Everyone still runs photoshop, everyone still runs maya/3ds, some have added zbrush if you're messing with PBR pipelines or feel like baking down normals (which APB does). At this day and age there is not really a 'better' it is all sidegrades in a way and even comes down to what kind of game you are making. Blender holds up, even cinema4d. People get away with using gimp or a pixel based photo editor for other types of games. Software does not make a game. I never claimed I could make APB better. I have a degree in interactive entertainment and some time in the industry but 99% of the staff likely has far more time than I do and a single person does little when making games is primarily a team development at this level.
-
No way. Not at all. I'd never suggest such a thing.
-
Don't worry. It is just a shell company anyway.
-
What is formatting. Better software does not equal better game. Plus they are already running 'industry standard' stuff. This is some delusional advice at best and game killing at worst. Regardless it is too little too late anyway.
