  1. Since there is a 1% chance for each 500 Jokertickets to get a legendary, is it worth buying Jokertickets instead of a gun I'd like to have from armas? And has anybody here even received a legendary from buying Jokertickets? I am thinking about getting the Obeya Hoplite which would be 10k Jokertickets = 2000G1C, with a 4% chance for a legendary, but buying it with 35% from armas would only be like 1300G1C and also account bound.
  2. Items mentioned last week wasn't removed yet. Not really concerned, but curious why. (also hoping for something new in Armas, LO pls make old packs account bound) Edit: They are gone, nvm.
  3. As stated before my only possible sin was getting out of bound once. There is one problem, it was on completly different account - and that account didn't faced any consequences. Instead Mitne (my main) did. Strange red flag it would be, isn't it? Other than that I can say with clean heart. I didn't used ANY external software while playing game. I had pretty standard background programs list (Explorer + some additional background ones, like Discord or Steam). Used advanced launcher but if that red flagged FF, then sorry - do you find FF reliable then? I'm pretty sure any abnormality was red flagged. Who the fuck knows criteria, I assume FF was just going haywire in last years and G1 did shit to prevent that. Instead they used it as tool to ban people to show that "ye, we onto your cheater problem". As I pointed thousand times when G1 was developer and after, it was incompetent beyond belief. But if you research G1 background with others games - you will know why. Sadly that thread disappeared along with old forums (there was that golden news that Matt FF got banned while testing FF - and if I remember correctly he done everything WITHIN game ONLY to get banned)... Here is though first Q&A of Matt With Kempington and SKay made transcript of it on this forums. Here's chosen fragment related to FF: Q&A Archive: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/265424620 Q&A Transcript:
  4. Said it before, and I'll say it again. If they added DMR-AV PR3 which added 3-Point Sling 3 or Bandolier 3, I would purchase it account-bound immediately despite already having DMR-AV PR1.
  5. Most folks on here have not worked in game dev, I have and I can tell you exactly what doomed APB and it has very little to do with the engine update. The real reason APB was doomed was because the core foundation of the game was never built properly. The only thing Realtime Worlds got right was the customization editor, an arcade gameplay loop, and a fun game world to run around in. But Realtime worlds failed to plan for the FUTURE of the game. They didn't anticipate what would happen if players who could navigate the maps with their eyes closed would be put in the same pool as new players. They used custom hacks and code to make their game work in THAT version of Unreal Engine, never dreaming it would have to be changed. They never had a plan on how to sustain the longevity of the game. The engine update is not intended to enhance the graphics. The engine update is being pushed because APB has become impossible to update and upgrade with its current code and engine limitations. Newer PC's still can't run APB well because of the shoddy code that was built into the game into the first place. An update to a new engine would allow LO to bring better performance to consoles and have a stronger foundation with which to build their game. But as everyone has noticed for the past 10 years, APB was a cluster f--- to begin with. LO signed up to maintain an upgrade a lemon. They bought a car with no brakes, a failing transmission, and glued on shoddy repairs that would never pass inspection. What LO is doing is the equivalent of restoring an old car but it turns out engine code is more complicated than a real engine. Even after LO completes this upgrade, I doubt they can truly salvage APB. The only way to put players on an even playing ground is to add new maps and make some changes to the current layouts. Right now, not a single new player will stick with the game because the veterans will outmaneuver and outgun them at every turn. The new player population needs to be kept on its own server away from the veterans who have already played the sh** out of this game. APB is a very unique game and it definitely loads faster and performs better than GTA Online. But it simply doesn't have enough depth or variety to sustain the population. The account bound guns and cars without new maps is a joke. APB is essentially a mobile game in PC form. I hope the engine update is the upgrade LO needs to truly add some support to this game, but I fear it's going to be too little too late.
  6. I'm gonna miss these Armas items. Pls make old clothing account bounded.
  7. Armas needs a rework. And account-bounded clothing, which was "uploaded" way before LO. As I see, LO making every new item in Armas with options, account or character bound. So why not do the same trick with old content?
  8. Akito

    a small problem

this is scarily accurate to my own situation, I would be like 15-20 minutes into a match and BOOM, instant disconnect. I've re-installed the game about 7 times this week along and still no fix, and as Ive said above Ive tested my connection (even reset it a few times) along with cleaning out junk from my system (even though its new lol I just wanted to make sure Im covering my basis), ive heard ppl also encounter this problem if they have steam overlay enabled but Ive already disabled steam while playing the game overall (my original account is bound to gamersfirst so i dont really need steam) I have no idea how to fix this lol
  9. As far as I know, any legendary, any armas gun for 15 days, few possible 1 slot weapons for permanent, and skins... in a perfect way. On my way: Only skin I won is Money (for two fking characters twice lol), 3 low-tier legendaries, N-Tec, OCA, HVR (all 1 slot, which is useless for me, since I have all of them 3-slotted, account bounded), and mentioned armas weapons... mostly ATAC variations (I don't even use ATAC whatdefok). Not want to complain, but this so called "list" is kinda poor, well, it is for me IMO there is should be some kind of system which gonna prevent giving player weapons which he own already. I know it's too idealistic and also easy way to taking legendaries only, but still...
  10. I wanted it like a week ago, I even managed to make 20k jt (without hard grinding anyway), I know it was not much for old players, but now I'm even doubt what I have to spend jt on... maybe that Prototype Tech skin? I wish it was account-bound affordable though, since I have more than 2 chars...
  11. You guys must be really want to see those JT's in the market lmao. Btw account bounded clothing when?
  12. People are, pardon my French, wanking on the guns too often and never spot other items being outpriced... this will happen with crown, and I think LO will include half of armas gear in jt store, the matter of time. But I want these clothes being account bounded now already. I never understood why people don't appreciate them, APB is afaik the only game where I can customize my clothing. But there is a kinda character quantity gap for me to buy every item for every char. So LO, why not now but someday soon? P.S.: Gauntlet Gloves pls.
  13. I think perhaps the best distinction that can be made will be that Joker Tickets = Character bound items, G1C = Account bound items. It's true the distinction will get blurrier, especially for new players who will need to think about 3 currencies at once. Perhaps the best way to think about it may be that JT are just F2P G1C? I guess it remains to be seen how it will all play out.
  14. I wish my weapon roles would be account bound, at the very least faction bound.
  15. Very late edit, just realized you asked about Armas, somehow I read Joker, my bad Off the top of my head AP45, 4x4 customizable with kits, NSSW (3slot), Atac (3slot), TAS/CSG, whatever has the option to be account bound, it's worth it. And avoid buying reskins or items that are given as loyalty awards
  16. https://www.gamersfirst.com/apb/news/2020/6/8/joker-store-renovations Per this announcement, any Joker Store purchases of permanent unlocks adds an option to re-purchase with ingame cash. This means you can freely toss the weapons to make room (mostly relevant for those of us who are sitting at/near locker storage limit), and then grab it again later for a mission's worth of ingame cash. How about adding ARMAS permanent purchases (both character and account bound) to this?
  17. so you telling me people would waste more money on joker box for Jts instead of actually buying account bound weapon? it didn't affect me one bit. btw kids don't have money. if they use parents credit card they be dead.
  18. How about to make the roles progression account bounded? Pledge every char on account for chrome skin... pain.
  19. Are these the quotes you are referring to? I can't say I disagree with Matt, new players to APB face a number of considerable hurdles towards being able to compete with long standing players, and the progression system is definitely one of them. When we think that some very useful mods such as High Burn Point Fuel or Valzipram are locked away at a fairly high level requirement (Especially for non premium players), there certainly is a case to be made that new players are at a significant disadvantage. This is especially true for weapon mods for example, where if you are a player with no friends in the game, you would need to either grind out the necessary role to then have the chance to buy the modification, or purchase it for an inflated price on the marketplace (Which may not be obvious to do in the first place). I believe Matt's thinking is probably more in line with the changes made to the Joker Store, which was essentially making a wider variety of weapons more accessible to more players. APB has always had an uncomfortable design when it comes to player progression as a result of its unfocused development. On the one hand, we like to believe that an experienced player on a new character would still be able to fight just as effectively, but on the other they also have the benefit of being able to send mods over from other characters and have the knowledge that shiny gold guns don't make you win. If we're not going to restrict matchmaking by character level, then we need to ensure that more players are on the same playing field. This is without going into the mess of the unfinished merging of player characters. By this I mean almost 10 years ago now they decided to make threat account bound instead of character bound, yet still we have very few account bound facilities (Such as symbol storage or shared bank accounts). I don't believe the kill requirements for the Chrome skin are going anywhere, but it's important for more experienced players of APB to not dismiss these ideas. You may say the game will crumble by changing progression, but how can we expect APB to survive without new players?
  20. Found my kickstarter-bound account. Congrats on all the hard work!
  21. Hi All: Very happy the game is still being worked on. Personally, I don't have a problem with the characters being wiped, especially if that means the economy will be repaired. I only ask that we can keep our unique account-bound items. It would be nice to still have the items we paid real money for or earned in promotions or special events. Keeping our original characters would also be appreciated even if they are reset to level one and lose all gear except what I mentioned. I'd love to have familiar faces follow me from the old game to the reboot. May my Spiked Chopper and Classy Feathered Top Hat live again!
  22. My point exactly. Which is why I am an advocate for reverting many of the weapon changes LO have done. The reason being that just because many of the lower skilled players say that X and Y weapons are broken it doesn't make it true. Any weapon could be in place of X or Y if the player wielding it is vastly superior in skill AND the weapon is commonly used by those high skill players. On top of that, those same lesser skilled players use actually relatively broken weapons (or weapons that are too easy to use) without realising that not only are they doing that but they are also being severely outclassed by better players with weapons that require way more skill and experience to use efficiently due to the skill gap. In the end it produces this big outrage by them, they go on forums, streams, reddit and such and complain about said weapon being broken meanwhile if they pick it up they wouldn't know how to handle it 1/100th the amount of high tier players. Essentially, it is the matchmaking's fault indirectly. Also, if you want a definition of what I consider broken or easy to use. Basically any weapon that takes way too little effort/skill/knowledge to achieve something where most other guns require multiple times that amount of effort to achieve the same (or more). That's largely the formula. Some current examples are ATAC, Manic, FAR (now vs the current N-TEC 5), AMG variants, HVR, JG (vs CSG), PMG (in its current state). I can go into detail about why each of those being the way they are currently is a problem in a game that may or may not become more skill-based in the future. A lot of players that I know and have/had kept contact with over the last 5+ years quit due to many of the decisions taken by the old and new devs. And it wasn't things such as who gets unbanned, who got to be an SPCT/tester (or whatever other meaningless crap people get butthurt about in APB) but actual key balancing decisions, things they've done to date or have yet to do (delaying way too long for simple fixes). One of the most positive changes in the history of APB was the bounty system and how LO handled it. It is impeccable how much better things are now, it does not punish you for being good at the game anymore. Also, yes I also want to help out new players and I talk to new players on a daily basis and teach them things. It's also why I have many spent hours to create and update my APB guide, so I can link it to people and make it easier for both parties. I'm close to clocking in 20k hours since 2010 (forum join date not accurate to when I started playing the game), although probably at least 5k are from Social. APB requires top tier reflexes, aim, high game sense and awareness, some prediction, some luck and experience with teamplay, tactics and how to push/defend points efficiently, meta loadouts. There are many factors and it's not a simple thing to learn on your own, you need good team mates to learn together or to have them teach you the ropes of advanced high skill APB play. Every even semi-competitive PvP game has it's meta loadouts, characters, items, abilities, etc. That's something you can never avoid regardless of how well balanced a game is. You don't necessarily need an official "clan war" mode, people have been playing arranged/scrims in APB in the gold districts for years, that is its only purpose until someone comes along to make it better. I agree that exploits, glitches and such are not competitive in any way but those players who do these things aren't the type of competitive I am talking about anyway. Those players are considered toxic silvers in EU and we pay them no mind. Besides, all of those glitches are bound to be fixed eventually. We also don't consider winning defense as a big deal at all due to how easy it is and it doesn't really show skill much. Aim is always good to be worked on. Again, if you don't feel satisfaction from winning against equal+ skilled opp then competing in APB simply isn't for you. Winstreaks never really meant a lot due to the matchmaking unless we're talking 30-40+ which can be considered a bigger deal but you'd need a solid team for that. I personally want 3 aspects to be worked on in APB by the devs. I want the comeptitive-oritended modes to be fixed up, polished, rebalanced correctly with input from the main players that care about them a lot who have the most experience with them. I also want the new players experience to be greatly improved, add a real visual training (like CS:GO's training course for example) which is forced on newly created accounts (not characters) which would also slow down rerolling cheaters in the process. I also would like more casual things such as player/non-player events to be worked on to be more fun and enjoyable. And it isn't impossible but it requires tons of work and help from the good-willed members of the community. Regardless, this thread is way off the rails and OP even got banned or whatever from the forums anyway so this is where I stop.
  23. Boys and girls of APB; As many of you who still roam the forum, I've been playing this wonderful and amazing game since the old RTW days, on and off. After following LO in social media since they took over, reading their posts, watching the new engine stream, seeing the amazing work they are doing and how open @MattScott is with the community, I'm posting my list of suggestions to improve the game, hoping to get some traction and reaching the people who can take action. Feel free to add your own suggestions, I'll edit the post to include them. CHEATING An actual, working anti-cheat for the game would be nice... Shadow ban hackers so they can only play against other hackers - this is the feature I want to see the most. Ban macros and triggerbots - these external apps are not being monitored at all and there are clans that even distribute them to all members as if a triggerbot was something normal and acceptable to use in any other shooter game... Add potential cheater flagging methods based on stats, so a mod is required to review a player live in a district to determine if they are hacking (ie: a K/D ratio above X ==> flags an account to be reviewed by a game mod). THREAT LEVEL Make intentional dethreating much harder (more games required to dethreat (especially to Bronze), additional factors considered to dethreat, etc) and lock gold players out of bronze districts (if you're a Silver threat player in a Bronze district and get bumped to Gold for abusing lower skilled players, you {and your group} should get automatically moved to a Silver/Gold threat server without the possibility of rejoining the Bronze district until there are no Gold players in the group). The game is already hard to pick up and currently new players get rekt until they uninstall by people that shouldn't be in low level districts owning them non-stop. Add more factors to how threat level is calculated (K/D ratio, assists, medals per game, etc). A new threat level above Gold and sub-levels within each threat level. A seasonal pinnacle reward system for reaching the highest levels (similar to Destiny 2) would be nice, but it won't work unless the hackers are dealt with. In a completely different, alternative scenario, remove threat level based districts, create a "skill level" value for every player and allow anyone to join any district, but make the matchmaking strict within skill level. WEAPONS Rethink weapon balance: instead of nerfing the weapons that perform well, take what makes them good and buff the weaker weapons accordingly. This, of course, is tied to the vision LO has about the overall weapon balance, TTK, etc. Reduce the huge impact RnG has in gunfights. A LTL weapon series for Criminals, or at least an option as annoying as them. Add a "test" feature to Joker Ticket weapons similar to what the ARMAS marketplace has. Weapon loadout creation for easy swaps during missions. ACCOUNT-WIDE CHANGES Increase to symbol, theme, song and clothing limit. Symbols, cash and Joker tickets shared across all characters in the same account. Add a safe way to quickly transfer tradeable weapons between characters from the same account. Make Joker ticket weapons account bound. SERVER CHANGES Server login queue. Increase population cap and remove Green threat servers. Have an Trainee exclusive server not visible from the District list) only available for new accounts until they get a proper threat level assigned. Add the option to turn off other player's customization (turn them into a default Criminal or Enforcer skin) to improve performance for lower end PCs. Rework in-mission spawns ensuring you can't have someone spawn X meters away from you with direct LoS. Ping considered for matchmaking. OTHER / QOL Disable other players' car radio. Please. Pretty please. Character and vehicle customization limit increase. Increase the drop rate of vinyls Twitch integration (streamer mode, Twitch drops, Twitch Prime packs). Clan progression and the always requested Clan base/house/club/whatever. Create a standard tutorial mission for new players against bots, going over the basics. Take faster and harder action against Nazi symbology. Every day I see multiple people with Swastikas and SS uniforms roaming the Social district like there's nothing wrong with that and it's weird AF...
  24. I haven't played in 4 months, but I've never had a problem with the ATAC, people who us the ATAC, or using the ATAC myself. I don't see anything really wrong with it. It kinda feels like a flashier STAR, but that's probably just me being weird. I bought an account bound R&D 3 version, but I almost never use it.
