Yeah depends on the scam, some are easy to spot, some not so. I've had tons of scammers try to contact me through Facebook for example, and most of them all use the same tactic and that makes it easy to spot. Plus most of them have obviously dubious accounts. In the case of this scammer his profile was 11 years old, over level 25, and had 100+ games on his account. It looked pretty legit. Like who would risk getting their account with that much in stow banned via criminal activity. I certainly won't let it happen a second time. Guess it goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover. It could have been worse. In the forums I looked up several people lost there accounts to same type of scammer I fell victim to. Some scammers even gained access to accounts of people in their friends list and used that impersonate their friend. After this I obviously immediately changed my password, and set more things on my account to private access so outsiders can't see what I have from the get go. All in all I didn't lose much that isn't easily replaced, and I'll be more guarded in the future. On another note, back when I was in my late teens, I got ripped off by someone who I thought was my friend. Knew the dude for over 3 years, and out of the blue stole my gamecube and 30 games, plus some of my other friends stuff and skipped town. All my stuff was over at a friends we were hanging out at and gaming together. Me and several of my buddies left to go to the park for some disc golf, and when we came back hours later, a lot of our stuff was missing. We discovered who it was later, as he had started posting the items he stole on Ebay a week or so later. Being stabbed in the back like that made me leery for a long time, but it's been over a decade ago since then.

Hello everyone! As you may have noticed, we recently brought some nice people into the game that will help you out along the way and make sure things are going smoothly on Fallen Earth. We are doing our best to prepare them for as many situations they may encounter as possible, but there's always a room for improvement! GMs are primarily here for you, so it is only fair for your voices to be heard regarding their performance. Because of that, I am opening my PMs to all of you that have a praise or a complaint regarding our GM volunteers. If you have something to say about their activity in the game, please follow points listed below on how to bring this to my attention: 1. This thread is locked for a reason. Any report/comment you leave for me regarding any of GMs is completely private and anonymous. I will not be addressing public call-outs. They are inappropriate and unnecessary. Use ONLY my PMs to bring things to my attention regarding this topic. This way we are making sure that both sides are comfortable speaking their mind. 2. Stay objective. Only report issues that you have witnessed/experienced. Do not pass on someone else's experiences. 3. Make your report count. Attach screenshots/clips regarding specified issues. Clear evidence is the key to resolving any misunderstandings and issues effectively. 4. Make sure you title your messages appropriately. Any form that will immediately let me know what the topic of your message is will do just fine (e.g: "GM inquiry"). 5. I will not respond to any unrelated questions masked under GM inquiries. Nice try 6. I will not respond to and/or share any GM details with you including (but not limited to) their private information, details of selection process, their status and whether an action (and which one) was taken regarding the complaint. Just as much as you have a right to your anonymity in reporting, they have a right not to be discussed further in their absence. 4. Keep it civil and to the point. We're here to resolve issues, not antagonize either side. If you are not sure which situations merits a report of this sort, here are a few directions (but not limited to): 1. If a GM deliberately refuses assisting you as long as assisting you is within their jurisdiction (e.g: Asking a GM to teleport you around is not allowed and they have every right to refuse you. But if you complain about things such as feeling unsafe or disturbed by another player, they are obliged to look into it for you). 2. If a GM discriminates against you (or you witness this happening to another player) on any basis. 3. If a GM favors another player on an unfounded basis (Obviously, if a player is wronged, GMs are there to prioritize assisting them, for example. This isn't a behavior that requires a report). 4. If a GM is making you (or you witness this happening to another player) feel uncomfortable in any way whether with their way of conversing or their actions. 5. If a GM disrupts or involves themselves in any way during the gameplay. They are there to observe and ensure a fair game. Any involvement and assistance is against the rules. 6. If a GM is sharing your (or anyone else's) information and status publicly. They are allowed to publicly warn you (and others) if your behavior merits it, and are allowed to communicate with you any evident in-game issues you may have (unless this issue is strictly taken to private chats). They are not allowed to share the information on your status otherwise not visible to other players, including your in-game status or your account status. Naturally, all other complaints you feel the need to bring up to me are welcome as long as they are done in a respectful and objective manner. I hope no issues occur inn the future, but we're all humans and mistakes happen. All we can do is make sure we prevent as many of them as we can and learn from the rest. That can be done with anything in Fallen Earths marketplace, can't it? For awhile premiums were the most valuable item and thus targeted. Would it help if tradeable premiums could only be bought by premium accounts?

No. While I do live in the Philippines I have a US bank account with Chase, with a credit card that I use for all my gaming needs. Was paying in American dollars so it was not an exchange rate nor VAT issue.

Hello there! As you know yourself, VPNs are legitimate to be used working on-line. As always, if it is related to the ban evasion abuse, then certainly not. For everything else, there are certain complications related to their usage, so in case your account gets compromised or anything of sorts resolving the issue will be hard, therefore you would be using it at your own risk. But no, the usage of the VPN itself will not get you banned. Regards.

Hi everyone, There has been no official announcement that we are wiping progress. I have answered questions on this, and based on where we are there is still a possibility that the new code may end up being incompatible with the old. We do need to solve adjusting the economy to account for duping issues in the past. It would be a shame to invest this much time and energy only to see a flood of old materials enter the market from some forgotten clan vault. We will do our best to either (a) preserve progress or (b) reward loyal players with some level of progression / item bonus to help ease the transition. Thanks, Matt

If the maximum level was 30, the game with two maps would be perfectly adapted, I already checked it, and the bosses exist only that most of you have to find them inside bunkers, but even so it would be very complete with the special unique bosses that come out every certain moment (I would raise this status so that they would show up more easily) about getting ap, the system of missions, races, special events, makes the game more fun. It gives real disgust to see how in 30 minutes and doing two dome or three dome you get everything in a super easy way. That's because G1 never had to move an entire server in a tight deadline based on a newly expired contract with said providers. With that taken into account, the lost data was something that is continuously being worked on and made up for, and in a world with G1, you'd get a sorry, a pat on the back, and a month of ignored tickets.

Putting a down payment and one to create an account is used as a barrier. Losing an account that has not cost anything matters nothing, but losing an account that has a "cd key" or has cost 10 euros, at least something matters. if a cheater is caught 40 times it would be a benefit of 400 euros and I think nobody is so dumb to try a 41 times ... if there is no barrier, it does not matter to try 3000 times, do not you see? making people pay would not lower the population ... there are currently 20 people playing .... putting the "non-tradeable" system on the market is that it can be duplicated, there is a bug that has not been fixed. If you are going to proceed to make a "clean" version it would be to protect the game. Hey everyone, Cell Phone here, not sure how many people remember me, but I was one of the first (if not the first) to beat round 10 of the dome without cheating, the video is still on youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaOhl4mDRKs&t=301s I had lots of fun doing the dome and making the video. This is one of the most memorable moments in my video game history and I will never forget it. Although I moved on with my life (you don't stay young forever and life hits after your teenage years) I still play games occasionally, and as a very old player (from beta), I am still watching from afar and rooting for the success of the game and the comeback. I am sure you have many old players watching what is going on from afar and waiting for the day things are stable and LO is ready to relaunch the game. No matter what I am doing at that point in my life. I will come back for the opening, and I am sure many older players will come back as well. For those who remember me, I would like to say that I am still around and watching from afar. I am waiting for the day to meet you all again. (and all the new and old players I have not met yet). I got an ATV but deleted it It was bugged, had no cargo space and I kept having weird issues with it randomly disappearing etc. Neither my wife (old account) nor son (new account) got one. Just some random stuff going on with the server rebuild I'd guess.

OK the rule you refer to is about forum accounts NOT the game. Many people have multiple game accounts with 4-6 toons on each. Which is fine and allowed. This does not mean those people are doing nefarious things on those accounts or are storing tons of duped items. They are legit accounts with legit items (this is not to say there are not people with multiple accounts with duped items on it but there would be less people than legit). So if you are going to spout rules, please use the correct ones hon. If you feel intimidated by people that differ in views and ideas to your own, I feel sorry for you. No human can grow intellectually without expanding their ideals by looking at and considering those of others. To live a stinted life, stuck in a limited view point of your own does not mean you are right. Many people are very happy that their items will be transferred over and this is great news. This means some who intended to quit will stay now. Those that return from time to time have no fear of having to start from scratch each time. Which btw has stopped a few from returning. The grind is real and some don't want to do it over. Stop putting up rules to suit your purpose when the forums are full of you abusing said rules. Just go back and look at your posts.
