There's various sections on the map that block sound from other areas. The sounds themselves work fine for the most part, but these sections can completely mute things like footsteps and gunfire if it's not within that section. For example, that item dropoff area in millennium plaza on the northeast side of Waterfront. The one with 2 entrances and a ladder for each. When up the ladders, you can't hear anything below them.

Yes please! This will allow enforcers to get more arrests per mission, meaning less time grinding cop roles and less missions criminals get stuck being farm animals.

This can easily be bypassed with most gaming mice. They all come with some sort of software macro to change the button functions. Some mice even save the bindings on their onboard memory. Besides, those players you claim using a macro will still be better players, and you'll find some other excuse for them.

It's because the Launcher needs to modify the install directory. The game also doesn't use the proper directories for storing temporary files and user settings. It stores everything in the same folder it's installed in which is the wrong way to do things (typical RTW/Reloaded). The program needs admin rights to modify the program files directory. If you installed APB somewhere else or modified your user settings it shouldn't be required, but Windows is retarded so you can't bypass the admin rights request. You can disable user account control entirely, but that opens some security holes. A lot of apps use the wrong directories too. For example, Discord installs in the %appdata% folder, which means it needs admin rights too. I swear some people purposely do things the wrong way. How files are currently stored: Config: " APB Reloaded\APBGame\Config " AssetCache: " APB Reloaded\APBGame\AssetCache\ " Logs: " APB Reloaded\APBGame\Logs " Updates: " APB Reloaded\ " How files should be stored: Config: " %appdata%\Config\ " AssetCache: " %temp%\AssetCache\ " Logs: " %temp%\Logs\ " Updates: " %temp\ " As for the launcher issue, the better way would be instead of having a launcher, the game itself checks for updates. If there is an update, close and start the Launcher/Update tool. This would avoid the need for Admin rights when launching APB. LO, could this possibly be fixed?

I have gone through those before, but maybe I missed something. Will check again.

Glad you found the issue. It's stupid that Battleye blocks AHK. Many gaming mice have built in memory for macros, and many need to their macro software installed for the side buttons to work properly.

Shotguns need tighter spread, more range, more graceful damage dropoff, but with lower damage per shot. I want them to consistently 3 shot at 15M. If you're in the open long enough to take 3 shots you would have died from any other weapon anyway. Currently, the only shotgun worth using is the CSG with IR3 preset. The JG has too much spread and limited range, and the N-FAS has way too much spread. Maybe make the N-FAS consistently 4 shot at 15M for balance sake. I also think we need another shotgun, one that's a slug type similar to the NL-9 but with health/stamina damage reverse. That's for another discussion but just throwing it out there.

Ya 81M. Forgot it adjusts the minimum damage range too. Still not a huge difference, but I can see this getting exploited, by me.
-
2-shot at 84M instead of 88M. Nothing crazy.
-
I was doing 60% of dropoff range, not 60% of mid (average between max/min?). As for the rifles, you need to account for the curved damage system on the ARs and Rifles. This would widen the reduced shot range,
-
What about the semi-auto rifles? Were their changes reverted too?

DMR-SD - HB1 - 2 shot 64M. Sounds OP. This would also make the OBIR a 2 burst kill, and the CR762 4 hit kill. Also, I think someone messed up on db.apbvault.net. It shows the SG-21 and JG as being 1 shot kills...

This is just a minor annoyance, but /say makes a clicking sound when a user chats, while /d does not. I would like to disable this sound, since it sounds similar to other notifications.
-
I guess you have a point. I have themes disabled and /d hidden. There's too many toxic players to even bother ignoring them. The Russians don't bother me, but probably because the only word I know is как.
-
I would have left it with the lower TTK. At least it would have been viable.
-
Is the RFP range on ARMAS incorrect?
BlatMan replied to CookiePuss's topic in General Discussion Archive
I remember when the OBIR's RoF was as low as the RFP. -
You might need to enable it in your motherboard's BIOS.
-
Clear it out. I doubt most the people on there even remember you.
-
I noticed the mod, Radar Jammer, hides your nametag when in the final stage deathmatch when activated. This function is not listed in the mod's description.
-
The only thing I would change is allow players to purchase a permanent OSMAW so they don't have to remember to rent it. It's still inferior to the Volcano.

I remember getting Pucked.

I'm sick of these pricks committing suicide and tking mission after mission just so they can go down a level and play in bronze. Silver and gold districts are nearly dead, meanwhile half the bronze district is gold...

A way to balance Stun/Arrest (It is op, accept it)
BlatMan replied to Julien's topic in General Discussion Archive
It's not OP, it's just super boring when a player manages to stun you. You just sit there, and wait. If you could move while handcuffed at least you wouldn't be bored.
