  1. all the haters disagree. I can't honestly say that spotter ever made me lose a match. I've seen it used to no avail, and other times i've found it having been useful, if only because my teamates weren't in voicechat/actually communicating with the team. As such it feels that the better the team, the less use it has. If you're a good player with good communication, other mods will be far more useful.
  2. that was once to my knowledge, and they unbanned the like 300 people like the next day over it lol. Most of G1/RP's bans were manual and intentionally done. They would flag someone, then ban em manually. Automatic bans were near non existent.
  3. true, though i dont have one simply because i've really only done missions and spent most of that time trading lower legendaries for better ones.
  4. dunno, if the server side ones will work the way i think it will but they'll be able to identify macros fairly easily, i dunno if emotes or /abandonmission ones will get picked up, but firing ones and such probably will.
  5. it's just trash because it's rather inaccurate, it could be buffed slightly again, but it'd have to be careful about how much.
  6. i think you forget that LO just said they're going to be banning all macros with BE...
  7. If we're being honest I also calculated the difference in shots between the STAR and FAR and the FAR doesn't gain a "bonus" shot over the STAR until the Star is on it's 14th bullet where the FAR is on it's 15th. (The .70 vs .75 ttk at 1.75 (14 star shots v 15 FAR). I'm well aware that the FAR if firing at "exact same time" fires faster (which doesn't actually happen realistically). I'm well aware of the differences, as i've played both extensively along with the NTEC, its either placebo, or that the .7 TTK, faster reload, smaller mag, and 0.05 accuracy modifier on the FAR just makes it feel a billion times better. STAR should actually be more accurate spraying in cqc in mm due to smaller bloom. I'm going to go with placebo, that is unless the 0.05 matters "that much" for ttk and accuracy. And if you want to argue hunting sight, its still only a .3 vs .35 to the marksman modifier. Realistically, you should be doing almost just as good with the STAR as you would the FAR. So if you aren't pulling almost the exact same numbers, then you're probably not playing it right.
  8. NTEC's tap fire is faster than the FAR's, though the difference will be somewhat slight depending on range, and if the NTEC user knows how to tap fire accurately. (NTEC TAP fire for perfect accuracy is .19s intervals, i sadly cannot test the FAR's through macro anymore due to the recent LO changes with BE and not wanting to risk my account.) Though I'd assume the FAR's is going to be similar or slower. The STAR has the same recovery as the FAR, but it should have a slightly lower per shot cap, so while it's slightly less accurate than the FAR base accuracy wise, i think it blooms less than the FAR overall. Also note that the FAR only has .05 more accuracy in marksman mode. So you could just as easily use the STAR to almost the same usage. Does this include the STAR now? Or are we going to pretend that like 90% of the FAR's stats "aren't" identical to the star?
  9. So here's a question, why is it bad that the FAR is so called "better" than the NTEC now that the NTEC got a cqc nerf? Far was imo more balanced than the NTEC was, as it was a hybrid between STAR and the NTEC (despite heavily having the same stats as the STAR). NTEC can burst fire/tap for those kills in cqc, granted it's slower and generally using a pistol may be more smart, you know, because weapons have weaknesses and you have to accommodate for such weaknesses with a gameplay change. This does NOT however, reduce the NTEC's midrange capabilities over the FAR, and many still prefer the NTEC over the FAR. We can argue that FAR is superior, yet actual gameplay shows that while there has been an increase in FAR usage, it is still much less than the amount of NTEC's in game. It also hasn't increased the amount of STAR's which have pretty similar stats aside from that ttk, accuracy, and mag size, which if you wanted a weapon that operated similar to the far in cqc effectiveness it would be the "easiest" replacement. Yet we havn't seen that ingame either. If anything, the NTEC could have a partial "reversion" and still be balanced, however seeing as there's not a ton of people flocking to other weapons than the NTEC and only a slight change in other weapon usage at least on Jericho. I'd be hard pressed to believe that NTEC is very much "worse" than the FAR.
  10. a .5TTK difference isn't a massive difference btw, yes FAR has the same TTK as ntec, it also has the same TTK as the OCA and ATAC, are you going to leave ATAC out of the equation when it sprays better than the FAR with the same TTK? FAR also doesn't have the same midrange TTK as the NTEC because its slower recovery. It's called a trade-off. I'll stop replying to forum posts when people stop posting.
  11. If we're talking "solely" mid-rage. Obeya and FAR (by extension possibly star). Obir is still strong when used right as well. If we're talking "versatility" and ease of use, Obeya and FAR, Star will have slightly more effort put into it, and same with OBIR. If we're talking CQC effectiveness as a primary without pistol switching, it would be ATAC, FAR/STAR, Obeya, Obir. Yes, i havn't listed other Rifles such as the Misery (simply because i'm not really familiar with it currently) NTEC isn't trash tier, and it's still considered one of the if not the best midrange weapons. Otherwise you wouldn't be seeing it so much, and people wouldn't be suggesting it still to new players. So to the nay sayers who are salty because CQC capabilities got hit, CQC doesn't effect midrange effectiveness. Now, if you want a to use something better in cqc, there are those options, otherwise full midrange would be NTEC/OBEYA/OBIR. Star has almost identical stats to the FAR, aside from the accuracy, bloom modifier (recovery is the same), and ammo. It does the exact same kind of spray as the FAR in cqc. Because midrange guns cover cqc-mid (0~65m) to cqc-long (0-90m), and because most midrange guns such as obeya and obir are effective at LONG range as well as mid. A FAR for example would lose to an obeya at 65-80m (Or at least should if the user isn't bad or lacking cover)
  12. Thomas Martinez - Age 26 A delivery driver for Ragner's on Silver Street. Living in Fortune Apartments leaves little money to spare for food and savings. So when he's not busy dropping off and picking up goods for Ragner's, he's hitting up the G-Kings for some extra cash on the side. He grew up poor, watching the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. He's no stranger to getting dirty, with a track record starting when he was 14 years old. In and out of juvie, and mediocre in all things school wise at Border High, there was no way up through college, not without money. He knows his Momma would disapprove, but he wasn't about to side with the filthy rich snobs from school in the Prentiss Tigers, and the military industrial complex that Justin Teng controls. Which stomp out small business through back doors and bribing the city's legislation. The G-Kings promised change, one that allows a struggling person to get by, and he took them up on it.
  13. They removed 1v1's and there's no way to get them unless 1 person is left from an unopped mission. 1v1's are imo imbalanced, and a number of people do not enjoy them. I legit afk when I see them because it's not worth the time. The reason why it only works now with the 2 or 3 people in a mission and all but one leaves, is because the system doesn't "start" 1v1's as default, it must be "worked around". I don't know why G1 changed mission overtime/stages and such as they have, but i still wouldn't want them even with the fixes.
  14. Lt. Borin Wright Lieutenant of one of San Paro's fire fighter departments. He worked directly under the Praetorians for a time on the front lines for money to get by with his family in San Paro. Feeling as if doing so was the right thing to protect the innocent. After almost two years he decided that he'd rather be putting out the fires and saving people from burning buildings than being on the front lines and dealing with the massive paperwork from their latest mission. Protecting the innocent is still important, but dying in the process would be a waste, he still has a family to care for. He still gets calls for the Praetorians to go out on call, though now it is for putting out arson and fires from the fighting than to go deal with the crims. He figured he'd rather be alive for his kids and family; cleaning up the mess that the enforcers, police, and criminals leave behind, and saving people from the numerous arson caused fires, than being murdered for trying to keep innocent people safe. He moved his family to the outskirts of the city, and continues to do what he feels is right in San Paro. He isn't afraid to get his hands dirty to protect his fire crew when they get shot at, after all, he believes there's a bullet out there with the name of every criminal in San Paro, though the resulting paperwork is certainly a drag.
  15. I'd have to say then launch it then, if it won't interrupt live, and only effects social and asylum, i see no reason not to test it, even with the few bugs we know about already.
  16. No, however the last few months i've seen NTEC has been used far more than any of them. You also before then, generally didn't see any other AR's on a team, it was solely the NTEC, and oca/pmg, HVR etc. There's a difference in reliability and ease of use with the ntec as well. While FAR for example is a great rifle, it's certainly to a degree easier than ntec, it doesn't "feel" as reliable because it doesn't secure kills as easily or quickly. People did, however as I said, to a much lesser degree use other weapons. You'd have entire teams of 4 ntecs, with no snipers, pointman, rifles, nothing, just ntecs, and they didn't change unless the area required a sniper. Why? Beats me, but that's a problem especially when its consistent. NTEC is more mobile, accurate, and viable than either. SHAW isn't an ntec in LMG form at all. NSSW is the closest thing, and even pre-g1 ntec rework, it was considered lesser than the NTEC. There's obvious reasons why the NTEC is preferred. It's more than just "preference" and "feeling". It's about reliability, versatility, accuracy, ttk, bloom vs recovery, recoil. NTEC feels good to use, because it mixes everything and has no real drawbacks aside from firing too fast at range. When talking about AR's and Rifles that can compete against the NTEC, they all suffer against those cqc based weapons. You have NTEC which performs similarly to the star, and far against pointman weapons and performs better than its "strong competitors" in general past that pointman range. You generally "don't" want to not be using an ntec instead of a Far or Obeya, that is unless you're preferring to spray in cqc now, or hoping to fire at 45-90m for example. You had a weapon whos difference in cqc wasn't clear enough in comparison to its competitors, while having it be better at range than them (aside from obeya which gets stronger the further it gets from the NTECs damage range but can struggle up to then). My argument was never fully because of point man weapons against it, rather that its competitors performed somewhat weaker in cqc as well which made no reason not to use it if it's better than them within their niches. I felt it would be "nice" to give cqc and cqc-mid based weapons a little more breathing room against the NTEC, however they may have done too much as i've said. I do feel a change was needed, however it likely had gone too far. You don't have to prove that the change may have been "too much" to me, because I feel it was. But i disagree with a full reversion because hopefully as I've conveyed, I feel there was too little of a difference between it and some of its competitors in cqc, and a much larger difference cqc-mid which ended up with it being the obvious better choice. I'll make this clear, if I see a reasonable suggestion to rebuff the NTEC without fully reverting it to its previous power level, then I wouldn't have an issue supporting it. I even made such a stat change suggestion above which was pretty much a "middle ground" between a buff and reversion. I know you don't agree with that, however that is all the middle ground that I really can agree on. Hopefully that makes sense. I'll end my discussion on that.
  17. If you can prove how calling me bad, casual, and how saying that only competitive skilled players should have a voice, refutes any information and statistics i've given, then maybe you'd have a point. I asked for statistics, and the only person who shared statistics recently aside from me was Flaws, in regards to how the "ntec is the same as the far", of which I refuted showing the obvious differences and also gave him the missing information that he didn't know in regards to the NTEC change. The images only gave a reference point for discussion, they didn't prove anything. I then suggested the information be used for an actual balance topic in suggestions. Of which is being ignored. The change happened MONTHS ago, and not a single NTEC Reversion topic has popped up in suggestions?? What? I thought it destroyed the NTEC? If the NTEC mattered that much and the change was that drastic, wouldn't there be.. you know, at least "1" suggestion in suggestions to revert the NTEC AFTER the reversion happened? Why is it the same people who care about the NTEC, seem so intent just to argue and bicker amd haven't done the "1" thing that's asked of anyone with in-game suggestions? Not only that but the only two people who were providing any discussion was/is Flaws and Respect, not you, who seem solely intent on name calling and complaining.
  18. These are the only bugs that I'd have an issue with. How bad is the input lag? If minor - Push it out How fast can this FOV/sensativity be fixed? Push it out if the issue isn't too bad, will be a priority fix, or there are things that can be explained to help negate the issue. Otherwise wait for this to be fixed. Do these UI bugs effect the whole game's FPS? Or just while using the UI? If the former, if its not severe, push it, if it's just while using the ui, push it out.
  19. If you want the NTEC buffed that badly, make a post in suggestions on Forums, with whatever "points" you have, and prove it already. You have given me no reason to believe that it didn't warrant any form of nerf. Not only that LO clearly had all the information they needed to nerf it this time, just as G1 had all the information it needed to nerf HB and rework it, even with you guys/gals saying it didn't need it. If you're upset about the information they have and wish to refute it. Then by all means, make an "NTEC buff" thread in the game suggestions sections of forums with all the statistical and factual bases you can imagine. Because all you've proven is that I'm a casual player and that I felt the NTEC wasn't balanced. Congrats, that again, proves nothing regarding the NTEC not needing any form of nerf. The last "NTEC" rework thread was in FEBRUARY (page 6) of the suggestions forum, the NTEC changes on the DB are listed in MARCH. I find it very telling, that even with all the info you claim to have and how "outspoken" you 3 are about the NTEC, it seems NO-ONE has made a forum post in suggestions about buffing it (not even you 3) since the change. You seem to be extremely outspoken when it comes to arguing with anyone about it. But there's literal crickets when it comes to actually suggesting it through the proper channel for it to be fixed. It almost seems like you really just want to take out your anger, rather than try fixing the "problem". So Enjoy! And good luck in your crusade.
  20. Then my intent was clearly off the mark with what was written, as I "meant" to not have HB reverted back for it to not effect NTEC because it needs the hb nerf. We can argue all day about CQC, but as I said, im not going to argue for it to be buffed. I don't want it at the same power level as it was pre-nerf. Can it be buffed to an inbetween stat, and be balanced? Absolutely, but i disagree that the NTEC was "balanced". It was too versatile, and as such, it needed a clearer weakness or less versatility. IF "cqc" is meant to be its weakness, then there certainly shouldn't be a reason to make said weakness more obvious and exploitable, let alone complain if said weakness is more pronounced than before. I was going to write a thing explaining this for the 20th time, but i'll simply counter your argument with this. If NTEC "competition" was that strong against NTEC in cqc and midrange, then we would have seen Obeya, FAR, Scout, and other weapons moreso, than NTEC to counter the NTEC. But no such "competition" are as strong as another NTEC to compete against the ntec, hence why we have not seen obeya, far, scout, and other weapons used primarily, to counter ntec.
  21. It's not even that it's being hosted in Germany, and if that was the issue, then EU would follow stricter guidelines than US servers, simply because of that.
