Can we still RIP our characters models from the game?
BlatMan replied to MrM0dZ's topic in General Discussion Archive
I can't confirm if it's allowed, but I have used NinjaRipper recently without issues. The latest version of NinjaRipper does not work. You need version 1.5 or older. These can be found through Archive.org. All the old mediafire links listed in Archive.org should still work. If not, I can upload them if need be. Here's the links from Archive.org https://web.archive.org/web/20150216014041/https://cgig.ru/ninjaripper/ 1.1.5: http://www.mediafire.com/download/vo623opawbv0ta3/ninjaripper1.1.5.zip 1.2.7b: http://www.mediafire.com/download/dfv1lbtgko2eejg/ninjaripper1.2.7b.7z 1.3.1b: http://www.mediafire.com/download/1u197fs5zaxeazq/ninjaripper1.3.1b.7z 1.5.0: http://www.mediafire.com/download/6q7lk1zmglys88v/ninjaripper1.5.0.7z 1.5.2: http://www.mediafire.com/download/zkbcm0r2r3tbmxc/ninjaripper1.5.2.7z -
A rapid fire macro can fix ghost shots if you tap fire semi-auto weapons. It sends multiple clicks so if you ghost shot, the next few rapid shots will fire the real shot. Rather than banning macros, they need to reduce the need for them. The servers need to run at a stable tickrate, and there needs to be action queuing for shooting. It only needs to be 10ms or so, just enough to fix the desync between client and server. These anticheat companies block you from playing if you have a Bloody mouse, but they allow every other gaming mouse with hardware level macro support. I don't want them blocking any mice, because it's stupid easy to get around with a custom driver. They're only blocking legit players who won't use such a workaround.

Tagger is stupid OP. Change it to display when your nametag is displayed. Then it functions as a call out rather than a wallhack.

For competitive gameplay, I would limit your fps to 121. This will prevent the character sliding bug. When APB drops to 50fps, it's not a smooth 50. It's more like 50 frames, freeze, 50, freeze, etc. It also happens when the garbage collection kicks in. Limiting your fps won't fix that. MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision, and many other branded software is built on Rivatuner. You won't get banned using it. It's used by a lot of content creators to add overlays in games.

There are 3 or 4 blatant cheaters on NA, although I'm not sure if all of them cheat or if they share accounts. LO don't care, or more likely, their support staff ignore all reports due to the lower skill players reporting everyone. It's near impossible to get evidence of someone cheating without recording the cheaters perspective, but when they live stream on twitch with an aimbot and nothing happens for years I doubt LO give a damn.
-
I see you still can't read.
-
I know of 2 on NA, only because they're dumb enough to post clips of themselves aimbotting.
-
Clarification. It was 2 veteran golds who have been around as long as I have. None of us have Kind of a big deal unlocked due to being gold for so long. Maybe their threat dropped low enough to not trigger it, but I'm leaning on it being broken, at least for that mission.
-
Was backup disabled? There's no backup option in a 2v2, 2 veteran golds vs 1 gold 1 silver.
-
TLDR, GDDR6 doesn't work properly with 32bit applications. APB is 32bit. Engine upgrade is 64bit. Everything after this is my opinion. GPU manufacturers should be responsible for fixing the problem. They created it. If car manufacturers sold a car that can't drive on normal roads, they would be held accountable for releasing a lemon. Same should apply to all technology.

What should dictate the weapon meta?
BlatMan replied to Reprimand's topic in General Discussion Archive
The N-TEC 5 always had a low skill ceiling. Back in beta you just had to tap fire for range, or spray up close. You didn't need good timing either because there was no bloom curve. Current N-TEC5 requires shooting it in 3-4 round bursts at range, or spray up close. If you chose to rely on randomness to win a fight, it's your fault if you lose. -
The OCA and PMG fully recover bloom between shots. There's no reason to tap fire them, unless you can't aim while shooting.
-
I don't get why they bothered with rayscaling. I guess they needed to use their stupid curve algorithm again. I would tighten spread and reduced damage slightly. If that wasn't consistent enough, increase minimum damage percentage or increased minimum damage range. Good aim up close would always be a 2 shot kill, while bad aim and mid range will require more.

It's the servers, not their internet. With 20ms on NA east I see the same thing from the time to time. Running /latencytest in game shows the server's tickrate constantly spiking over 200ms, with many smaller spikes over 50ms.

They reduced the NFAS damage so if a few pellets miss it becomes 4 shots instead of 3. They also reverted the damage scaling buff, which made the nfas more consistent. You can check out all the differences between old.apbdb.com and apbdb.com. JG - Increased damage, Increased spread, Increased rate of fire, Decreased range. CSG - Increased damage, Decreased range. NFAS - Decreased damage. Increased rate of fire. http://old.apbdb.com/items/Weapon_Shotgun_JG/ http://old.apbdb.com/items/Weapon_Shotgun_CSG_Joker/ http://old.apbdb.com/items/Weapon_Shotgun_NFAS/ https://apbdb.com/items/Weapon_Shotgun_JG https://apbdb.com/items/Weapon_Shotgun_CSG_Joker https://apbdb.com/items/Weapon_Shotgun_NFAS

So is modifying other non config files, but LO would stop out even more players from playing if they blocked it. Most of the twitch streamers remove muzzle flash, explosions, and other stuff that can't be changed through the config files. They should revert some of the config blocks G1 added, like debug hitmarkers and grenade explosions. You shouldn't need a high end GPU to not stutter when a JG hits you. It's not like it's simulating bleeding with water physics.
-
Ironically, reverting all LO balance changes would increase the shotguns max range to more realistic values, and reduce the JG's spread.

I did not state my opinion on shotguns. I denied your claim of how shotguns work IRL. You should go to a range, or at the very least, watch one of the thousands of videos available. Like this one: https://youtu.be/6PxLobmbXCk?t=100 The JG in APB has a spread of 1.5M at 10M. That video shows the spread being under 0.2M. I doubt there's 750% margin of error between various 12ga shotguns, but feel free to show proof if you have it. The Shredder is closer, 0.45M spread at 10M. Still no where close to reality, but accounting for the oversized hitboxes it's more or less realistic. Can't judge damage though, we don't have HP IRL.

You can still desync your character you just can't jump or climb ladders. I miss being able to float up to the dev's area on that really tall building. There's also a bug with cars where your character appears on one car's roof but you'r e actually standing on a different one. You can trigger it by blocking both car doors and teleporting when you exit. There's also a way to do it by bumping into the car the player is standing on. They're move onto your vehicle, but on their screen they're still standing on the other car. I wonder if this is triggered by the same code that causes you to stick to the car's door.

It sounds like your PC has issues with 5ghz, not APB. Do you have the antennas connected on the back of your PC? A friend's PC had connection issues because he forgot to install the antennas. If you don't need the extra speed change your router to 2.4Ghz. It has better penetration through walls. I don't understand why you're using wifi if you have a wired connection between the PC and router.
-
I don't know of a shotgun IRL that spreads wider than your mom's rear, and that's assuming she's in good shape.
-
5 seconds? Those are rookie numbers. I've done it for a few hours. I'm not being sarcastic it's lasted that long. If you don't jump, interact with objects like ladders and vehicles, or move too far from the vehicle, you will remain desynced. This bug is not server related. The server tracks your real position just fine. You're only desynced to other players who were within 100M. Your position gets linked to the vehicle you were in. If said vehicle moves you move with it. If the vehicle flips other players will see you running in the air.

Most of these areas where you can spam grenades are only strong because the opposing team can't get close enough to spam grenades. If you have an OPGL you can clear them out but there's no permanent purchase option. I rather have a 0 slot OPGL added to the joker store than continue to nerf grenades.

It should be 100M since that's what players are limited to. It should also have a 50M blocking radius from opposing players.
