  1. 1. they didn't ask me to provide any document and/or proof of identity. Were I had been asked to do so, I would've complied with no problem. 2. they can literally check on my account's trade log to see if the "story" I'm telling is backed up by facts. 3. again, I'm literally willing to give up all my money, cars and modifications if that mean I can at least have the legendaries I've grinded for for years back. How would this "scam" be on my favour? 4. sorry but it's a bit funny at this point. If someone breaks into your social medias and starts posting shit, your friends are gonna notify you and/or you'll get weird things happening everytime you try looking at your phone. Me knowing about the new features is simply me periodically checking the "news feed" section of Discord's channel and knowing about the game's updates. 5. what you say about scammers does unfortunately make sense but it's very sad that actual issues like mine are less likely to be aknowledge as a result. At the end of the day I'm fine without APB, but both me and the game company lose from this and only 2 pieces of shit gain a benefit from the story.
  2. I don't know what to do. I'm new here now, but I tried the game way back. Sorry if this isn't formatted correctly or something. I wanted certain cosmetics so I put a few bucks into g1c points or whatever. When I go to actually buy anything with them it just says "Your account is not active" with seemingly no way to actually spend the credits I payed money for. Even though I just added credits to my account. Even though I've been playing the game. I tried to validate my email in case that's the problem, but it never sends a validation email, even though they'll send me emails for other things. It's the correct email. When I try to contact support, when selecting APB at the support screen, all it does is refresh the page. Nothing happens. I can't contact support for some reason. I've tried on multiple computers and laptops now. I don't know what to do. I feel like they just stole my money.
  3. in this type of situation i will reset my password, But i use one finger and word and write down each letter as i go and make sure not to hit space afterwords. That way i can ensure the password is right If that does not work my only guess is they locked the account for what ever reason. Support is ran by a bunch of children who have a "high and mighty" attitude when approaching anything
  4. Way too late. I had moved my account to Nexon, but then missed the date to move it to Papaya. I don't recommend playing it now. The netcode was switched from peer to peer, to peer to server. There's no more kill trading, and hit registration is god awful. I loved the p2p netcode because when you killed the other player and you didn't die, it meant you reacted first on both your screen and your opponents screen. They removed kill trading. Now close gunfights comes down to who the server decides to favor.
  5. its all a big joke to pretend APB is not dead, to bait more players to spend real $$$ on armas marketplace. if they were serious about GMing they would get someone who actually knows how to do it, with experience and ability to make GM tools to totally BTFO the cheaters. but they aren't serious about it, mattscott's first action towards cheaters was to UNBAN THEIR ACCOUNTS THEY WERE CAUGHT CHEATING ON. the reason behind this was, there was a handful of silver players who got false-positived. instead of just unbanning those obviously legit players, he decided to let cheaters destroy the entire game for years. apb is a joke.
  6. My weak opinion but really Dont get mad with Azuki, compared to a lot forums, academic included -.- , he/she(?) is a gem of a moderator with a lot of patience and common sense... the fact this post is still here and not fulminate removed togheter with your account and others complaining means something Noted what happened to others but also myself , The only times when my post or threads get cancelled happen when only casually when one or more SPCT get quite colorful riduculed while defending LO.. yep casually, we've already know LO doesnt care and doesnt read the forum as much they dont care and know the Client support sucks, so we can assume they go C R Y to Azuki for take actions, otherwise for real Azuki let them cook for well as much deserved/ right. YEA Indeed, the culpript call in cause himself ...
  7. Players were banned for no reason, they have to return the accounts banned by the EAC, and then install a powerful anti-cheat, this EAC is horrible.
  8. EVENT ENDED Event powered by Wave Lounge ! A new type of clan made to preserve citadel's community, and unite them ! learn more here. Hey, Ketog from Wave Lounge here, (yep we still exist), it's been a little while since we had some activity, and with the start of the new year i thought i'd add some spice to it myself but with a fun little twist, a contest, but for nerds, what do i mean by that ? Well you're the judge: The Hypermetrics Contest This event is pretty simple and straight forward, it's how we do it at Wave Lounge, the goal you might ask ? right, get the highest possible FPS in APB, that's it, that's the event, yup. All you have to do to win is reach the highest possible FPS in APB with a few rules: 1) You must provide a complete screenshot of your game with performance metrics (any overlay of your choice) 2) You must be in an online district (yes social and fightclub are districts), that means no login screen trickery The rules are subject to change if some player finds a loophole, so we take the right to change the contest's rules to keep it fair, and give the win to the player that actually deserves it. The event will run from the date of which this post is published, up to the 8th January 2024 What can i win and how do i participate ? This event is happening on Citadel, however feel free to participate if you are not on citadel, i just won't be able to provide a prize for you to win. The winner with the highest FPS score will get the following: 1) 1 000 069 APB$ 2) Showstopper 'Thunder' 3) box of Exfluencis© 4) a special Legendary Donut The prize might increase as we get sponsors from other clans and/or donations from players, If you wish to donate to the cash prize, please message me on this forum or on discord @Liarus If you wish to participate, you will have to either join our discord and submit your screenshot in the submissions channel or DM me said submission (@Liarus), for me to take it into account, your submission will then appear on the leaderboard, in case you win, but do not want the prize, you can decide to give it to the best score after you, and if that player also doesn't want it, it goes on until we find a player that wants it. As an extra little note, I'm planning on running this little contest every end of the year, it would be quite a fun way to gather performance metrics related to APB over time. Have fun tweaking, breaking, experimenting with APB, there is no other rules other than what's currently listed, however stay up to date with this post for the latest news!
  9. My account was blocked due to the use of an unapproved third-party tool, what was that? I played with more than one account on the same computer, and one was blocked for this reason, I didn't understand the logic, I don't use programs to 'make it easier', I've been playing APB for over 8 years, until when will I be ignored in this game by support.
  10. That comment was in reference to the possibility of a security breach within my company. I'm sure you can sue over your account being compromised, but there would need to be extensive evidence. I doubt the payout would be much more than the items on your account, so not worth the time invested suing. If there were enough people reporting the incontinent, say 1000+, maybe it would be worth it, but only if each user could get compensated for their account's total playtime. Even then, the end user gets practically nothing. Most of the payout would go to the lawyers and investors, and LO will go under, defeating the purpose of getting your account and items back.
  11. Its weird that what i was hoping thats they were going to do in the new GTA. But i am on the fence about getting it to be honest. After all the horror stories about people being hacked through it. Losing their accounts. hackers dont even have to be logged into the game to kick somebody from the server its so poorly run. I suppose APB does actually have better protection from cheaters then GTA/RDO
  12. As a few of us Linux users have discovered in the 1.30 Open Beta thread, since APB’s 1.30 update it has been possible to successfully run APB:Reloaded on the Linux operating system, thanks to Little Orbit cleaning up old code that was causing crashes with previous versions. This also applies to the Steam Deck. This is accomplished with a tool like Valve’s Proton that, to put it simply, translates APB’s DirectX9 API calls to Vulkan and Windows system calls to Linux equivalents in real time. The following guide shows how to accomplish this with a few minor tweaks, all within the Steam client. UPDATE 2023/12/17: Added some useful tweaks at the end of the guide to reduce stutters and improve visuals with FSR. How to play APB 1.30+ on Linux This guide was tested on CachyOS Linux with KDE 5.27 on both Wayland and X11, and an AMD RX 6800 GPU. I have also tested it on a Steam Deck running latest stable SteamOS. It is necessary to do the following steps in desktop mode, however once you successfully run the game it will also work in gaming mode. For NVIDIA users: Make sure you are using proprietary drivers from this point on. If you need to install them, use your distribution's install method and do not use drivers downloaded from Nvidia's site. Step 1: Getting Proton-GE To proceed with the guide, Steam must be installed and started for the first time. Proton-GE is a community version of Valve's Proton containing up to date code and a collection of game specific fixes. Proton-GE 8-5 supports APB Reloaded (including Steam login) without any additional tweaks. To install Proton-GE, the most user friendly option is to download ProtonUp-Qt from your distribution's Flatpak based app store, such as Discover in the Steam Deck's desktop mode. Then, from this tool, select "Add new version" and choose Proton-GE 8-5 or newer. This is not specific to APB so there are many guides on the Internet that help accomplish this task, such as this one. Personally, my preferred way to install Proton-GE is to download the latest release and untar the folder within to $HOME/.local/share/Steam/compatibilitytools.d/ ($HOME being a placeholder for your home directory). After Proton-GE is installed, Steam should be restarted to recognize it as a compatibility tool. Step 2: Setting up Steam Open Steam, log into your account, and open Steam's settings from the Steam menu. Navigate to "Compatibility" and check "Enable Steam Play for all other titles." Go to your Library and make sure "Tools" or "All" is shown in the dropdown. Use the search box to find the "Proton Easy AntiCheat Runtime". Install it if not already present. Step 3: Setting up APB Install APB Reloaded from Steam's store as usual. Be sure to not run the game yet until everything is set up. Once APB is installed, right click it from your library view and select "Properties" in the menu. Go to the "Compatibility" tab and select GE-Proton 8-5 or a later version of Proton GE, as shown below. If it does not show, verify that it is installed correctly and that you restarted Steam after installing it. You can close the window or press Escape and your settings will be saved. The game is ready to be played at this point. Optional tweaks and improvements Using configs If you wish to use configs such as removing the login scene, you can create a directory called "apbconfig" in your home folder and inside it, paste your configs as you would in the game's install directory. For example, if you are using a graphics config, the path "/home/(your user)/apbconfig/APBGame/Config/APBCompat.ini" would be a valid path. You can also insert command line arguments at the end such as -nomovies in the example. Then, paste the following script in the game's "Launch options". Do not use the APB Launcher's start button to start the game when using configs, start by closing the launcher instead. %command%; yes | cp -rf "$HOME/apbconfig"/* "$STEAM_COMPAT_INSTALL_PATH"/; $HOME/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/reaper SteamLaunch AppId=113400 -- $HOME/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-launch-wrapper -- $HOME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamLinuxRuntime_sniper/_v2-entry-point --verb=waitforexitandrun -- "${STEAM_COMPAT_TOOL_PATHS%%:*}"/proton waitforexitandrun "$STEAM_COMPAT_INSTALL_PATH/Binaries/APB.exe" -nomovies -nosteam All in all, as a now single-boot Linux user I consider the release of 1.30 a great step forward to APB since compatibility went from zero to essentially fully playable just by cleaning up APB’s aged codebase. Hopefully, this compatibility will be preserved or even improved upon in future releases of this game. Also, looking forward to hear from more players who attempted this or a similar method to run APB on their Linux machine! Reducing DXVK stutters DXVK (the translation layer used to "translate" APB from DX9 to Vulkan in real time) has configurable options that are well suited to APB's odd way of managing memory. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RTNG4MVHirz6fbFBusurOGDJyD_pqm2M/view?usp=sharing By copying this dxvk.conf file into your Binaries folder within the game's install directory you can enable these and a few other performance enhancing options that don't have an impact on graphics or stabilty according to my tests. This is especially true for nVidia users. The file has to be in the same folder as the APB.exe binary! For those already versed in editing dxvk.conf the options in question are: d3d9.apitraceMode = True d3d9.cachedDynamicBuffers = True Note that the ApiTrace option isn't used for api tracing in this case, we are just interested in cached and coherent buffers. You can test the impact of these options by shooting a vehicle with a fast-firing weapon. This should cause noticeable frametime spikes without the config which are much less noticeable after applying it. Using AMD FSR As with many recent games, we can use AMD FSR to upscale the game from a lower internal resolution, resulting in much higher visual quality than regular display or GPU scaling. This is especially useful if you need a larger UI and don't want to deal with the visual corruption that's caused by the "User interface size" in the game's options. This requires a recent Proton-GE version (I recommend Proton-GE 8-25, the latest as of this edit) Add the following variable to your launch options (either alone or before whatever options you were already using, don't forget the space after though): WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 Then start the game, select "Fullscreen" in the graphics options and choose the internal resolution you prefer. FSR will add some oddball resolutions that function especially well with this scaling method. If it is done properly the UI text should be rendering with native-like quality. This works for both AMD and nVidia GPUs.
  13. Hello @Darleena, I'm a veteran player since around 2011-2012. Idk him as a person, but if it's a false positive like in 2016 for fairfight, I believe it will be very difficult to reverse, just like it was in 2016. I know how painful it is to have your account banned after years of playing, to see a disunited community that does nothing to help each other. I gave up on this game a while ago and this community with limited thoughts, but I wish you good luck.
  14. J.B.

    Error Code 10004

I think the Game is crashed. I can´t log in, either with the stucked account, nor my alt. account. Can someone confirm and can this get fixed? or is the game been taken down?
  15. Good luck on that. Even after proving an account i lost i was mine they threthen to ban me for trying to steal it. Oh and support: i got that account back becuase i got access to it's passcode. Up yours you useless bunch of coconut crabs Only thing you can really do now is bite it and change your password.
  16. Like I said in the previous test thread. I can run this test with a single workstation. Run as many VMs as you want. Run them all in linux. We're not testing cross district matchmaking, we're not testing game performance, so no need to test with real players. Also, most people's test accounts are going to have the wrong threat applied. No one is going to play enough missions on the test server to equalize their threat. Even then, there's no way for players to compare the existing system to this new one, because we can't see the real threat value, only a solid color. And your forum editor is still broken. It decided to randomly post my comment while I was in the middle of typing. Maybe I accidentally hit Enter, but I doubt it since this keyboard requires 70g of force to press a key. Game runs like crap since the 11/8/23 EAC update. I have a W3680. Friends have between 7th Gen i7 to 13th gen i5. All of us experience the same low fps during missions. It's not nessessarily just low fps, it's choppy. 80fps feels like 30 or lower when the fps drop happens. For my PC, I don't know if it's Epic Online Services or Windows 10 causing the issue, but for my friends they had 10 prior and didn't have as many fps drops before the update. I couldn't stay connected to EU Financial but EU Waterfrontran fine. One friend kept DC'ing on US servers, depsite having 10ms to US West and less than 90ms to US East. I've had multiple people complain about hitreg in /w and on discord. The one guy was screaming about his shots not hitting me, then all of a sudden I see him peak the corner and min ttk me, as if the server was running seconds behind.
  17. I doubt LO had any input on the recent bans. I know someone who bought an APB account. First logging in they were not trade locked. They were able to trade all the weapons and mods to their main account. The purchased account got banned a few days later, but the other accounts they have did not get banned. Same PCs, no VPN. If LO went by IP or HWIDs, you'd think all accounts would have been banned.
  18. Hello, After years of not playing i recently tried to play again. My account (2 characters) have been switched to another server. When i log in i'm on the (jericho NA) server. xxpuma2xx That used to be the same as my playmate : xxpuma1xx Citadel EU The screenshots are dated 2012. The screenshots i provided both coming from my own steam & the person i played with. Could you please swap me back to Citadel EU here is the url of the pictures: https://app.gemoo.com/share/image-annotation/572277641518653440?codeId=vz8K1d1WrZB35&origin=imageurlgenerator

  20. Yes I would really like to know how I got hacked. Sure as hell wasnt my PC because they would have stolen money from my bank not weapons from my dead game account.
  21. i think apb did ammo better too, in gta you have to constantly go around to either a gun store or the menus to buy ammo, but in apb you just... walk up to a kiosk and you get ammo and health too. here you have clotting agent, which i guess is kind of level locked, but health in gta is such a joke. the higher your level, the more health you have, up until like level 200 or so so playing gta as a lowlevel is nearly impossible, while in apb you could make a whole new account and become gold in your first missions from top fragging i'd much rather have dedicated machines for spawning vehicles instead of a mechanic that SOMETIMES delivers your car next to you, anyway
  22. Its called working the croud, say something nice at the start, to get everybody on your side, then hit them with facts. He is also not wrong though and i understand his frustration. We had a nice few days after the last bannings. All those re-rolls, i have seen go from level 1 to level 255 in the last few weeks. They are not hiding the fact that they are cheating. They are absolutly milking the servers. They are not closets, they are full on cheating. I am in a clan with 3 cheaters that i know of. There are multiple streamers who have been cheating the last 6 months. You can literally see them cheating on youtube / twitch. I have teamed with them and dont get a look in because they can see were the enemy are coming and hog all the kills. I have reported at least 20 level 200+ blatant cheaters. That i have teamed with. Right now it pays to be a cheater then to play normally. They seem to be having a lot more fun. They are leveling up quickly and in the space of a few weeks, have all the best weapons. If they get banned, they just start again on pre-made accounts that they have already transferred weapons to. Then start again, you get another year.
  23. One of my old group members had something happen with their account. I don't know if it was accessed by another person or if the server merge missed a ton of items. Most of their vehicles were missing. Another friend didn't sign in for 6 months or so. I saw them online but it wasn't them. The user on that account replied in Portuguese and was grouped with Brazilian players. Confirmed it wasn't them. In both cases, the incident and time reported were too far apart. No logs were available. Useless system if it can't hold login details for at least a year. At work we hold authentication logs for at least 5 years, depending on the data being accessed. Storage is cheaper than losing a lawsuit
  24. Taking as valid the point highlighted by Frosi, that good players who play frequently are unfairly accused of being cheaters just because they are good or because they are "in the right place at the right time": We need to think of a way to end this. After all, no one likes to be unfairly accused of being a cheater after spending so many hours of their life dedicating themselves to a game and improving their skills, right? Frosi himself, who admits he is not a cheater, is unfairly accused just for being good and getting into matches with players who are below his level and end up being humiliated for his skill and, as an escape valve, for not assuming that they are not as good as Frosi, they falsely accuse him and many others. We need to think of a way to put an end to this. After all, no one likes to be unfairly accused of being a cheater after spending so many hours of their life dedicating themselves to a game and improving their skills, right? Well, an interesting way to deal with this is to fix the matchmaking system where players who have the same level (Rank) will play against each other. Therefore, bronze plays with Bronze, Silver with Silver and so on. This will mitigate complaints from guys who accuse other players who are better than them of being cheaters. In the end, if you put players on the same level to play together, the accusation of being a cheater will have less value than putting a guy who has just created an account/character to face a guy who has been playing every day since 2011. But let's be honest, a guy who is very good and plays every day doesn't want to play against others at the same level as him. Well, it's easier for Gold to fall into a room full of bronze, wipe the floor with their faces, come out full of rewards and improve their K/D ratio. It is worth remembering that people with this mentality, combined with the constant number of cheaters as mentioned by Y2Venom: It has been causing exactly what Y2Venom himself said: In other words, because these players (I'm not saying this is your case, Frosi) are in a comfort zone, massacring noobs and earning lots of rewards, which is why they have made the game reach the levels it is at today: With high-level players dedicating most of their time to playing (there's nothing wrong with this), cheaters having to resort to various dishonest ways of grinding, and having fewer and fewer new players because all newbies realize that they will either need to stop living their lives to live in function of the game to become good or they will have to use suspicious programs to be able to have a minimum amount of fun. Therefore, speaking for myself, I don't want this great game to have only Cheaters, as said by Y2Venom, nor only with pro-players like Frosi. I'm a casual player, I don't have contidions to dedicate 8-12 hours a day playing to get to the point where I become so good to the point to be falsely accused of being a cheater, nor do I want to be forced to use a hack because the server it only has these two extremes. I understand the points highlighted by everyone, but in the end, a balancing system in the matches, which pits proplayers vs proplayers and noobs vs noobs (which is my case) will solve both things: Make it easier to detect Cheaters: After all, no cheater will stay in Bronze forever. Every cheater will have a completely artificial rank increase, apart from the other signs that can be monitored and have already been mentioned in this thread (Rate of fire with sidearms, hit rate, shooting accuracy, etc.). Make the game a little more friendly and attractive to novice players: Having newbies play against newbies will show noobs that they don't need to worry about facing a guy who is addicted to the game and therefore they will be able to play more calmly and enjoy the game more, thus reducing rage quits and the number of threads on forums claiming that the game is full of cheaters and totally unbalanced. I'm Brazilian, I remember that in 2013-2014 the game was popular here in Brazil, many people played it and there were several videos on YouTube talking about the game. However, currently, when searching for APB on YouTube in Brazil, more than half of the content will be YouTubers saying that it is not worth going back because the game is not friendly or balanced at all. The other part will be players who use cheats to gain an advantage. Despite being a casual player, I want to invest in the game by buying some cosmetics to "beautify" my character, but I feel unmotivated by the fact that I started playing again today and I've already fallen in about 4 matches against gold guys using bazookas and I couldn't fire a single shot while they have a hit rate of over 90%. Life is already too unfair, what's the point in keeping the game unfair? Isn’t the devs’ intention to bring fun and joy to users? I'm sorry for my English and if I extended too much. I end my text with the words of Obi-Wan Kenobi adapted for our scenario: It was said that you would destroy the cheaters, not strengthen them! Bring balance to the game, not leave it in darkness!
  25. Did you get banned and had to create another account? I won't say there aren't cheaters. There's some on Twitch that LO intentionally ignore, like the one who used to be named after a zombie survival game, or the one who's in game name is a spin off of Mr Beast's video intro. But, big but, the way threat is calculated causes players with a massive skill gap to be matched together frequently. Low to high gold is like brand new player to expert veteran. Mid bronze to mid silver is completely random. It comes down to what score bonuses the mission applies rather than skill. Green is harder to get than bronze, due to the anti dethreat mechanic that prevents threat from changing if your score is too low. There's also a massive difference in network performance between players, which can make some look like they're cheating. Some have perfect hitreg despite having 300ms living in Australia, while others with less than 20ms get no hitreg because their packets are being dropped somewhere inside LO's network. Generally I can 2 pump shotguns on EU with 90-300ms varying latency, but on US East it takes 3+ shots. On US West I'm better off trying to throw my car at them.
