Yeah at this point it's too late. I hope they have said their prayers already because this might not end well for them if riot will be a flop. That's like the first real new content from LO which they decided to prioritize over the new engine (so that's kind of like taking a piss at everyone already) and if it's going to be bad people will lose their trust in LO. Also I'm assuming that this is LO's way of attracting new players or possibly wanting to monetize BR in some way or another but that's the biggest problem with this whole undertaking. They would be trying to attract BR fans to play a game which was not designed for BR. There are plenty of great BR games which were designed specifically for BR ! Why on earth would anyone want to play a bootleg BR in APB ? The weapons are not balanced for a BR experience, neither is the map nor are the gameplay mechanics. People who play actual good BR games will come to APB and play this bootleg BR mode and will leave after realizing that it's bad which will hurt APB. I understand that LO was trying to build up the hype and stuff but this was not the way to go. There are 4 main things people want right now starting from most important: New Engine - We are literally waiting from 2013-2014. Many people left because they can't even run the game properly since it uses some pre-war technology. I have an i9 9900k and a 2080Ti and the game still struggles to run at a stable 144fps. Anti Cheat - One of the main reasons why the game has died out was an insane amount of cheaters for how small the game is. So many players desperately wanted attention and recognition within the APB community that it resulted in hordes of edgelord cheaters. Matchmaking - Can't count how many people left because of getting unfair teams and losing constantly because of that. Not to mention a single instance of each district being full all the time and people clicking "Join" for 20 minutes to get in because there is nobody on the second instance of the given district. Cross district matchmaking was promised years ago (goes back to the engine since Matt has confirmed that they need to upgrade first) Threat - The shaming of people with the lower skill level, the dethreating, lack of systems to prevent/punish such behavior. The divided community (silvers vs golds). So many people have left because as new players they were being shit talked every mission. Yet they are deciding to release a BR mode. Yikes.

Quite funny how everyone was against the BR mode yet they still decided to force it on us and now everyone hates it even more. Why not make the entire team focus on the engine since it is #1 priority for APB's survival or at least updating the already existing assets like clothing or hairstyles. Anything would be better than a BR mode and the community would actually be happy.

It actually works the other way around too. I have tried helping new players multiple times by explaining to them what they are doing wrong and I got shit talked in return for hurting their pride so...

I really don't understand why LO decided to push the shitty BR which literally nobody wanted. People are tired of BR, it doesn't fit APB in the first place and it's implemented poorly. LO I hope you are ready for a ton of disappointed players and possibly the game dying. Literally 99% of the community was against the BR mode and all we wanted was the new engine. I have bought a couple of things to support LO but no more if that's where my money is going.

Yup, people play APB for APB, meaning normal missions. If someone will want to play BR they will just go and play a game which was made specifically for BR. Forcefully pushing a BR mode in because it's popular is a bad idea. It will only divide the community and water down the general direction APB was supposed to go which will ultimately result in the loss of players or people simply not playing the BR mode at all. Edit: Literally all people want is the new engine, proper matchmaking, good anti cheat and a solution to the current threat problems. Then all we want are improvements over the base game and possibly some new systems like clan progression or whatever else. A BR mode was literally the last thing that people wanted and everyone was very vocal about wanting the engine yet they still decided to focus on the BR. Big Yikes on that one from me.

The fang is the king of corner camping when it comes to secondaries. Up close and in the open you will most likely loose unless the other person sucks. Does it need a nerf ? I would say no with a grain of salt but it could use a little rebalance. Just stop running around in the middle of the street and use a car instead and you will be fine.

I personally don't like riot because it's not what APB was intended to be and as others mentioned it ignores the lore and just doesn't fit + I'm sick and tired of so many games implementing BR modes because it's popular. If I'll want to play BR I'll go and play a proper BR game like black ops / fortnite / pubg / apex or whatever, not APB riot mode. Another thing is that LO was wasting the time on it instead of focusing on the engine upgrade and other important things like for example the threat problem or cross district matchmaking. We have been literally waiting for over 5 years for the new engine and what we get is some bootleg BR mode. The initial LO's plan was to have the engine upgrade at the end of 2018. Then we were supposed to get it around february / march after it would be tested. Now we will get it god knows when, maybe even in 2020. Yikes. Little Edit: People are playing APB because it's APB not for some bootleg BR. By adding a bootleg BR mode you will only divide the community and sort of water down the true direction and feel of the game which will hurt it in the end imo.

I think that it really depends if LO will gain access to already saturated database of player stats from other games EAC is supporting to determine what is legit and what is not or if LO will have to set everything up manually and hope for the best. Then comes the detection part. What will happen after apb cheat devs will bypass EAC ? APB is not a big game for the EAC team to really care and patch it up against APB's cheats unless their contract directly states that they will be helping the devs. Most big games stick with EAC, I hope it will also work for apb. It's weird how crazy some people are about having to cheat in apb despite it being such a small game and to what lengths people go to develop the cheats.

Nobody even uses macros anymore. People literally have thousands of hours in apb and every gun's ROF memorized to such precision that it looks like a macro.

Maybe it's time to come back to apb. I really hope EAC will work properly.

apb runs like garbage don't bother.

I'm not using any online apps, I wrote my own app which lets me input strings / hex strings / images and displays decoded outputs in as many encodings as I will implement. I have found many 4 char / 12 char values obviously but they are not special in any way. Seeing how "obnoxious" the first part was I don't think they would go to such lengths as encoding secret messages in image files etc. I don't think it's one of those Cicada 3301 style mysteries. Most likely they will simply add something new which will lead to another piece of the code. One thing you could still try is checking which files got updated. There might be a clue in a file name / content.

I have dug through all of the website scripts and http requests and tried getting hex strings out of the images used on their website and then decoding that with ascii, utf8 and base64 but found nothing interesting. Maybe they haven't released everything yet. I will try few more things.

Scoreboards alone aren't much proof. I've been getting scores like 60 kills 5 deaths myself by camping corners with a csg. It's really not that hard. Just use /report or record a video and then also add some scoreboard screenshots.

It's not about whether or not they will reroll. It's about LO working with BE to increase the detection rate and speed. Even if they will reroll (which they will do) they will be getting caught faster and faster over time. I wouldn't bother myself with it. There aren't that many cheaters to begin with right now. Also about the false ban conspiracy. Not to brag or anything but I've been playing since 2014 and sometimes I've been doing such plays that it would look like cheating even to me if I would watch a recording of it so there were countless opportunities for other players to report me. I've been also hackusated countless times like many other people here, even by really good players. Yet I was never banned a single time. I was really waiting to be falsely banned multiple times since so many people were spreading this conspiracy about being falsely banned that it almost seemed like it's real but despite all the hackusations and everything nothing ever happened to me nor to my friends who were also really good players. I'm not saying that there are no false bans at all but imo 99% of the false ban claims are lies which usually come from notorious rerollers.

Not everyone cheats, some people are just good.

If you don't cheat you have nothing to be worried about. I've been hackusated countless times since 2014 and I never got falsely banned.

Spending 60 euro can get me 3 perm account wide guns. Not bad.
