It would be nice if LO would let us use advanced launcher and no particle configs for now because it will still take a while until we will see the engine upgrade. About seeing difference between a legit player and a closet cheater I can agree if you reached the top yourself. I can definitely say that even if I'm getting killed repeatedly by someone if the person plays legit I can simply feel it in that person's movement, game sense, aiming skills. But often you have those very dodgy players whose weapons seem to be outperforming yours even though you both have the same mods. Overconfident players who seem to know a little too much and so on, or simply people who refuse to miss any shots even if you are trying to dodge like a kung-fu master. Then you can suspect that something might be off. I would say that a decent amount of people will get banned for various triggerbots, macros ,smooth aim or maybe even scroll wheel shooting but you also shouldn't expect any crazy numbers. Many people play APB for many many years including also other games so they are simply good, that's all there is to it. The truth is that those who are deluded into thinking that they are the best will keep hackusating people no matter if we will even have 10 anti cheats in APB. Although I'm looking forward to BattlEye + FairFight + the secret internal system that LO has. Might be a hell of a combo if it all gets configured properly.

Honestly today I got rid of no particle config and Advanced APB Launcher and just reinstalled APB. I set the minimal settings and I really don't feel any difference. The game looks pretty much the same as before and the performance is also the same.

Hello. A long time ago I was experimenting with trying to make APB run as smooth as possible because I'm using a 60Hz monitor. I found out that enabling Vsync makes the image ever so slightly smoother but unfortunately introduces very annoying input lag. After digging deeper into it I found out that limiting the game to 58fps actually removes the Vsync input lag completely and still leaves the benefit of Vsync. To do it you need to go to your APB Directory / Engine / Config and edit BaseEngine.ini. There you need to fina a line "MaxSmoothedFrameRate=62" and edit the value from 62 to 58. Now you need to run APB through APB executable because the launcher keeps updating this file. Now in game all you need to do is enable Vsync and Smooth FrameRate for the limiter to kick in. Now here is my question (Hopefully someone from LO can answer). Will slight tweaks like this, which are not possible in the game, be allowed ?

They don't want any kind of nudity / racism / hate speech. It all speaks loads about the company controlling the game as well. Even though the game is 18+ it's a F2P game. You never know who is going to play it. Imagine some people wanting to sponsor LO and then they enter social district and see all the symbols with hentai faces covered in you know what or all the nearly nude female characters with biggest possible feminine features and asses.

I personally think that they should re brand it. "Gamers First" already earned its name Money First and people mostly have only bad memories when it comes to G1. Re branding would make people look at APB differently and I think that LO is all about the freshness.

Many cheaters will get unbanned that's obvious. What I meant by my post is that people with questionable bans are much more likely to get unbanned than people who continuously cheated for years and were banned multiple times. LO has access to all the old tickets and most likely evidence. I doubt they would unban some of the really toxic players who wanted to destroy the game by cheating continuously.

Most, not all. That's why I wrote that most likely the extreme cases won't get an unban.

Creating hateful threads on the forum surely won't help your case. Just do what you have been asked for nicely instead of calling people names. And about people getting unbanned. I really wouldn't expect some really really blatant cheaters with multiple bans on their record getting a green card. More likely people with rather questionable bans or bans for something else than cheating.
