  1. It doesn't matter if it's easy or not. I'm stating facts here though. OSCAR has recoil. ADS is a viable choice since it reduces that recoil greatly, gives you zoom and easier control resulting in a tighter spread in majority of cases as compared to hipfire long range shooting. RS3 does nothing on OSCAR.
  2. And also this: https://streamable.com/5n64g
  3. Where's your proof ? All I see are words with no evidence. I've proven with actual videos that there's absolutely no reason to use RS3 and you are better off using Tagger or 3PS as RS3 is just a wasted mod slot on OSCAR. I've also proven with actual videos that on longer ranges ADS has MUCH lower recoil compared to hipfire resulting in much easier control especially when you are taking cover and you want that little bit of extra accuracy and control. I've also proven with a slowmo video that the ADS lean quickscope is faster than strafe corner pop and reveals less of your body. So fast in fact that it's below average reaction times unlike strafing which will make people not react to you at all or react too late. It's crucial when playing against top players. If you can outperform someone in terms of speed and poke them succesfully without taking damage they will have to retreat. Not taking damage during that stage might save you in another when someone will push you.
  4. Oh no I'm not saying that the mod is not working or anything. All I'm saying is that you can see on the comparison vids that RS3 makes absolutely no difference in practice. What my videos are showing is how the mod performs in actual gameplay. If there is no benefit to actual gameplay from the usage of RS3 on OSCAR then what's the point ? All it becomes is a wasted slot. Of course the setup is up to your preference. I'm running MP3 + 3PS because I'm mostly a solo player who often takes on whole enemy teams so I need as much utility as possible. MP3 is priceless when engaging multiple people at once. Especially in open areas. Can't count how many times it has saved my patootie with its amazing reload speed. As a general advice I always recommend Tagger first since it might benefit the reaction time when someone is pushing out of cover and might also help the team.
  5. I hate arguing with people who don't back up any of their claims with any sort of proof or have no idea in general what they are talking about but I hope that this will solve it once and for all. This will be the last response of this type that I'm making. It's just not worth my time since it's like talking to a wall. People don't see your hitbox, people see your model. But also: This is a very rough hitbox / visibility estimation using perspective drawing. Yes the hitboxes are cylindrical but this is just a boundry for the ease of explanation. Red is the hitbox boundry box. Green highlight is the boundry box area revealed outside of the corner . Blue are the physical body parts (except for the gun) visible to your enemy. As you can see to perform a succesful shot by revealing just the gun outside of the corner you are revealing not only less of your hitbox but also less of your visible body making it harder for the enemies to spot you and aim at you. With the lean you are only revealing a bit of your head and your arm. While strafing you are revealing your entire body vertically and approximately minimum 1/3 of your hitbox (usually more). Yeah OSCAR has no recoil: Tracking and micro adjustments are two completely different things. You are more accurate with RS3 hipfire compared to ADS ? I wonder how since ADS almost removes the hipfire recoil (also visible in the video above) https://streamable.com/5n64g Uhhmm what ?? Check this out then. Also before, some stats from video analysis: 1. Time for hitbox to leave cover and get back to cover: ADS: 400ms Strafe: 467ms 2. Time from the visible player model appearing out of cover and going back behind cover ADS visibility 200ms (Below average reaction time) Strafe visibility 250ms I think that being a bit snobby about experience is completely fine as long as you are supplying proof to your claims (unlike you). You do realize that it's only a 10% modifier ? The smaller the initial value the smaller the impact of the modifier. If you have 10 cents 10% is just 1 cent. If you have 10000 cents then 10% is 1000 cents. For OSCAR the sprint modifier makes no difference in practice: And just in case one more time the non sprint version.
  6. I will respond to this with videos after I'll get home from work. I just can't....
  7. Very fresh, unique and original view on the situation... You do realize that it's impossible to stop the cheaters ? Even gigantic companies which are running CS:GO, Overwatch, Apex Legends, PUBG and other games have exactly the same problem. It's a constant race between cheat devs and anti cheat devs + a constant problem of where to draw the line between a legit pro and a cheater.
  8. First of all as I've mentioned before it really depends on the situation you are in, the enemy setup and the distance to your targets. And in the end it's also down to playstyle and preference. While hipfiring you are exposing your entire hitbox vertically and almost a half of it horizontally (lets say 1/3 if you can strafe corner pop skillfully). Also a lot of your body is visible which makes you more noticeable and an easier target. While hipfire strafing around the corner it's harder to execute perfect strafes where you reveal only the minimal amount of your body and you are able to shoot. you might often reveal at least half of your body or you might fuck up and hit the wall because you have revealed too little of yourself. Then it's also more difficult to land a shot because you are on the move so it gets more difficult the further your target is and if it's moving since you have to micro adjust with every shot while on the move. Then you are also in hipfire mode so you don't have the ADS zoom and you have increased recoil. If you don't micro adjust and just strafe until your crosshair is over the target then you will reveal around half or more of your body depending on what your target does which makes it easy for your opponent to prefire the corner or even to react to it in time. Lean ADS quickscope reveals basically only your head for split of a second, gives you zoom and better control due to ADS and in OSCAR's case better accuracy since you eliminate the hipfire recoil. Makes your enemy try to hit your tiny head which will make them fuck up far more trust me. You also eliminate the movement so one thing less to worry about and micro adjustment since you sort of flick as you ADS. Yes your hitbox goes all the way to the ground but people will try to hit the visible part of you anyway. It's way easier to control than strafe corner poking and makes it way safer for you since you are revealing a minimum amount of yourself for split of a second so even if the enemies will try to keep firing at the corner your are much less likely to get hit compared to strafing. If that doesn't convince you then I don't know what will. If I was you I would just try using it and you will see how annoyed people will get. In pretty much every shooter game playing mind games can matter a lot. Especially if you can succesfully tilt someone or make them panic. People can throw games because of that.
  9. Made a simple wall test to showcase the spread on close and far range with just IR3 and IR3 + RS3: Yes I know that my shooting sucks, haven't played APB for over a year now. Of course there's always gonna be a group who will claim that a wall test is bad because the client will show something different than happens on the server but I can assure you that it works exactly the same way on people and also for such a simple purpose this kind of a test is enough. In practice RS3 makes no difference. The best setup imo is IR3 MP3 (great range and amazing reload speed) and the last one is either Tagger if you wanna help your team / you need extra reaction time boost or 3-PS if you mostly focus on solo play. RS3 on OSCAR is a waste of a slot. Here's also why ADS lean quickscope is much better than just ADS walk. Shown using a scout because the difference is visible better that way. Pay attention to how long I'm actually exposed with ADS lean quickscope. You need to have a really short reaction time to be able to hit that. Some snipers literally just give up when they fail to hit you for the 20th time. It's pretty much as hard as hitting a crouch spammer: https://streamable.com/ocw0k And here's IR3 MP3 3PS Oscar hipfire vs ADS. No idea why you would say no to ADS since it gives you easier control, less recoil and additional zoom with pretty much the same if not better spread. You can also see how fast OSCAR reloads with MP3. Actually had many people call me stupid for using MP3 on OSCAR: https://streamable.com/5n64g
  10. I have no ill will either so sorry if I'm getting a bit tilted but I'm really not writing out of my patootie. What I'm saying is based on my experiences so surely you should take it with a grain of salt as not everything that works for me will work for you. On average it takes 250ms (depends on the person) for initial input from your eyes to result in an action (in this case shooting). Less if you train yourself of course. If you can do the quickscope lean ADS shot in somewhere around that amount of time there's a good chance the person won't be able to even react to it or will shoot after you will be long gone behind the corner. With such quick actions this has nothing to do with actual skill but it's down to how human body functions. Also doing ADS for extended periods of time can actually slow down your reaction time as you lose your focus so you actually have an advantage over your opponent in majority of cases because you are executing a very quick action with the maximum focus as opposed to your opponent who is camping somewhere and looking down the scope for 10 seconds, waiting for you to pop out of the corner.
  11. You are a real denial andy. I'm literally saying that after playing this way for years (often vs some of the top players). Yes 80% of the time I'm using hipfire. But that 20% of the time when I needed it, lean ADS quickscoping has been priceless to poke snipers / campers who just couldn't keep up with the speed of it and you reveal so little of your body that even if they will keep up it's very difficult to hit you. You can gang up on me all you want with your copy paste stats and making fun of me. Couldn't care less if you wanna stay ignorant. What I'm writing is based off playing OSCAR for years and testing every possible mod config which could benefit it. I was going back to RS3 to retest it many many times and the result was always the same. It's just not worth the mod slot. Tagger is just more beneficial to you and the team as it improves your reaction time too. This is the last thing I'm writing. If I was you I would just go and test things. Also in the end it's down to a playstyle preference. Don't like ADS on OSCAR ? Don't use it. I surely will since in some situations it's priceless to me and fits my playstyle.
  12. This only proves that you didn't read my posts properly. I wrote about quickscope lean ADS. No moving involved (lean out of the corner and zoom at the same time, shoot, and immediately zoom out, lean in and walk into the corner, it takes split of a second and makes it nearly impossible to hit a person doing it correctly) It gives you advantage over your enemies since it's performed much faster than a hipfire strafe and makes people try to aim at your head as opposed to anywhere on your body which makes people more tense as the target is much smaller increasing the chance of error. It's simple human psychology. I can't even count how many snipers I've scared off / killed / had them hackusate me by doing lean quickscoping properly with minimal risk to myself because they just can't hit me in time as opposed to trying to hipfire around corners and having a smaller zoom which makes it more difficult to hit more distant targets. I'm not saying that ADS on OSCAR is great. It's not. But it's stupid to sacrifice it completely for some miniscule difference from RS3. About your numbers. Test OSCAR w/ and w/o RS3 in the actual game, as in check the bullet spread etc on different ranges and then come back here and tell me what you'll find out. It's the same situation as in 40m PMG sniping. You were so sure that it's bullshoot because the numbers are saying so and then oh surprise it actually works. The difference from using RS3 on oscar is so microscopic that it makes it not worth the mod slot at all.
  13. Seems like you've never played against skilled players who will 180* flick quickscope you if you reveal as much as your ear. Yes in the majority of cases you will be engaging in an open area zig zag party but in some matches / situations skillful ADS is very important. Especially if you are trying to outperform obeya / obir / sniper users with OSCAR even if you won't deal that much damage on longer ranges. Skillful ADS poking can kill them / make them hide and help your team. It's ridiculous to sacrifice a mod slot for RS3 for a microscopic difference and cripple the ADS as a result. I'm actually surprised that you don't know that. Or just trolling.
  14. Just because you see a small change in the numbers doesn't mean that it will have actual major impact on the mechanics. Just as you didn't believe me that you can snipe with PMG @ 40m consistently. I mean if you don't see a difference between an ADS aiming and hipfire then this convo is pointless. This is highly situational depending on the enemy setup and the distance to your targets. Basically it's just game sense and being aware of the psyche of your opponents. You will reveal much less of your body by doing an ADS lean quickscope than by revealing your entire body with hipfire shooting. Yes the hitbox is the same but what's perceived by your opponent matters the most. A lot of people won't be able to react to a quick lean ADS corner pop in time as opposed to a hipfire strafe where you are revealing your entire character and it's highly noticable as opposed to only showing your head around the corner for split of a second. Revealing the majority of the body will have a higher impact on the opponent's mind + makes it easier for their mind to aim at you since they can aim anywhere vertically. If you are only revealing your head 99% of the people will try to hit your head which increases the chance of error since the lean pop is also faster than succesful ADS strafe and it's easier to execute for you but makes the enemies more tense since they will try to hyper focus to hit you in the face.
  15. Stat wise it does but not in practice. As I've said I used to play OSCAR for many years and at some point for a year straight as it used to be my main weapon and I've tested it both w/ and w/o RS3. Dropped RS3 and I don't see any difference in my accuracy in the effective range. The difference is so microscopic that it's definitely not worth the mod slot. It's definitely easier to ADS around corners than hipfire and risk being hit unless you wanna just run around the street like a headless chicken and forget about taking cover. Consistent corner pop with OSCAR aligned to the max firerate is nearly impossible without revealing a lot of your body. ADS is a much better choice in that situation.
  16. Highly doubt it since I was using OSCAR for few years and tested it both w/ and w/o RS3 and it does dogshit on it. Only cripples your ADS. Had absolutely no problems landing my bursts even on the longest range with only IR3. I'm not basing my tips on what ifs and placebo but years of experience.
  17. CJ is useless on OSCAR if you are considering it. The best thing you can do is master the firerate to the point where it looks like you are using a macro. If you are wondering then the most pro mlg oscar setup in my experience is: 1. Improved Rifling 3 - Self explanatory, increased range. 2. Magazine Pull 3 - Amazing reload speed. Lets you shoot continuously basically. Priceless in open area fights vs multiple people. If anyone will complain about small mag size then maybe they shouldn't play OSCAR since it's a gun which punishes missing a lot in the first place. 3. Tagger - Will help you spot hiding cowards and help you be ahead of people's actions since timing means a lot on OSCAR (Eventually if you ADS a lot or you use Spotter you can replace it with Mobility Sling or 3-Point Sling) (Never use Reflex Sight as it cripples your ADS and does nothing accuracy wise for OSCAR) Relinking all of my evidence here to prove that: - RS3 is completely pointless on OSCAR: - OSCAR HAS recoil so ADS is a viable choice: https://streamable.com/5n64g Here's also recoil difference between hipfire and ADS. ADS OSCAR shots have approximately 70% less recoil compared to hipfire shots when firing at something from the same exact distance. - ADS lean quicscope is better than ADS strafe: https://streamable.com/ocw0k - ADS lean quickscope is faster (200ms exposure) vs hipfire strafe (250ms exposure): Raw OSCAR ADS lean quickscope speed: https://streamable.com/xjv5g Visibility estimation: Hipfire vs Lean:
  18. don't think that FBW is necessarily op but it's definitely amazing if you can master it. Constant aimbot + macro hackusations guaranteed. Same goes for OSCAR although oscar is quite damn strong but at the same time it's very punishing if you miss, still should face a rebalance. Obir definitely should get slapped since you can play it on every range + corner pop and qs with secondaries which is quite tricky to counter if someone is good at it.
  19. Yeah of course it's ok to use meta guns if other people are using meta guns. It's not like you are going to put yourself at a disadvantage on purpose when you are playing vs top players.
  20. Not only the system was terribly trolled but it also lead to a nightmare when it came to refunds etc because a whole team of people had to be assigned to determine if someone deserved a refund or not when it came to troll / offensive designs and also a whole another team had to be assigned to constantly monitor the market to prevent offensive designs from being sold. This has also resulted in a PR drama because designers / customers were mad because of their designs being removed where some of them were completely ok but due to MS2 GM views they got removed just because they didn't like them. If they let some racist item through and say 500 people purchased it for 200 g1c that's 100000 g1c spent which is around $1000. If they would have to remove the item due to it being racist they would effectively steal $1000 from the customers or hopefully refund it which would get more complicated since it leads to the refund nightmare (unless there would have been an automatic refund system in place). And that's just a single item. What's gonna happen if the game grows and you will have 50 new items every hour ? Maple Story 2 has suffered A LOT from the design market. Being able to earn a currency which you can only earn by spending real money attracts a lot of people who will go to any lengths with a system like this to make some profit. LO can't even afford to have consistently active GMs right now so there is no way that they would have enough people to monitor an additional system like this. Especially if the game grew because then literally everyone would be creating designs to make some g1c. Some potential online scandal due to offensive designs sold on the market for real money while LO wants the game to grow and prosper is the last thing they need right now. SJWs never sleep. It was the same with MS2. There was a big drama with the MAGA hats and LGBT items.
  21. It's not that we are playing different games. It just proves how little actual respectful / skill focused players are there. I've personally met probably less than 20 people over the years who wouldn't like to abuse op guns and would instead focus on improving above anything else.
  22. It's not that they can't. Actual good players just don't if they know that it's broken out of respect, their reputation and also because they value their actual skill more than having few more kills using broken guns. Other thing are toxic/wannabe good players who will abuse every opportunity to gain an advantage who you were probably playing with/against. Of course there's also a third group of top players where you just get so good at apb that you get bored and you simply stop caring and you play with whatever the F you want. When it comes to me I like to determine whether or not something is op by myself. That's why I own a majority of weapons including the op ones. My skill matters to me the most as well as winning duels vs top players so I always wanna improve. I've been playing FBW only for a couple of months in a row as a practice for eample and became pretty godlike at it in my prime (haven't played apb in a year now since I'm waiting for the engine). When I'll see that some gun is op I'm putting it away because it's slowing down my improvement and I don't like getting carried by broken guns since it's not satisfying at all. That concludes the story why I'm happy that fang is getting nerfed even though I own it. Ultimately I want a relatively balanced game where I will be able to use every gun without having to wonder if it's op or not especially since some of the op/meta ones have mechanics/playstyle I like or they sound cool.
  23. If you wanna say that the old nano and troublemaker were op then yes I will agree but if you are mentioning fang, troublemaker and nano sitting in my locker that implies that supposedly I'm only relying on buying op guns so you are insulting my skill. Not that I care anyway btw. Just stating facts.
