  1. Good pick to add the Colby .45 AP. The rest is just... more riot? Really? It's already pretty exhausted no matter how much you polish and fix it. Players will flood it for the reward (if even) and then leave again back to missions and fight club. It's a lot more like a chore than a game mode to most of us (at least to me) and I think that focusing on the missions game mode has much higher potential success rates for bringing players back. Then again, it's what comes after 3.5 comes out that matters most, not any of this.
  2. You can buy the one for Joker Tickets. Don't spend real money on it though. Get an account wide N-TEC 5 Dvah instead
  3. I agree with all you've written and I wish you all the best, @gordIsMyName.
  4. Particle removals (smoke, fire, muzzle flash) and shaders that outline enemies through smoke and fire are cheating. Everything else is perfectly fine as it does not give any real advantage. "Configs" is a very broad term for this kind of vote. EDIT: Accidentally voted No when I wanted to vote Yes. If some mod is able to fix that for me, that'd be great.
  5. Remaster old login screen so that it's 90% the same with the old soundtrack (maybe remastered). Make it high quality and everyone will be happy. Myself especially.
  6. Currently, everything seems to be working as intended by the devs. Ever since the hotfix, I haven't had any real issues with the mode. Someone I talked to said their entire game would crash if they didn't manage to load into the district before the starting timer ran out BEFORE the hotfix. I don't know if that is still a thing, I haven't experienced it myself. Aside from engine limitations, one of my biggest gripes with RIOT is definitely the HUD/UI which effectively blocks visibility in a shooter game in a mode where visibility is everything. There are too many pop ups and texts coming up for information that is irrelevant and not needed such as 2 different pop ups that you've picked up a hazmat suit, one of them blocking your view. The massive DEVICE ARMED text with the red timer which is pointless, you could literally add that little timer in one of the corners, it becomes pretty obvious what it shows without needing a huge text piece. Also, does anyone REALLY remember all the district block names well enough to know exactly where on the map a device has been armed? Well enough to justify having 2 different pop ups right above the crosshair telling you that it was armed AND where? I've personally fixed as much as possible of that through configs but for new players that would be a nightmare. It's way too stressful, it gives you information that is completely useless and new players will probably try to keep up with it all, thinking it's somehow important to winning. Overall, RIOT is an excessive RNG mode in a game where RNG is king already. Your best bet is to play in a full premade group of good players to minimize the RNG through teamplay like in the base game but in a BR/pseudo-BR mode like RIOT, it's still no guarantee. Also add in the fact that there are no solos, duos and squads so that makes it even worse for anyone playing alone and getting random team mates has proven to be abysmal just like in the base game. But we all know why this is the way it is. P.S: Fix the stone riot walls/barricades so you can consistently jump on/over them pls. And remove the "Item is not ready yet" red text that comes up whenever you try to re-use a character/vehicle mod that is already on cooldown across the entire game (it came with the RIOT update). It's absolutely terrible. EDIT: The game still crashes entirely if you load into a RIOT district AFTER the starting timer has ran out. It happened to me today so I can confirm that it is still a thing. Needs fixing ASAP.

    Please get rid of this

If anything it must be way way below the crosshair around the combat messages although I'd rather not have it as it's useless and distracting. This is just pointing out god awful UI design and lack of UX. Everyone knows what the biggest problems with APB are, I don't need to make another generic thread about underlying issues that are supposedly being worked on already.

Well, so much for this thread I suppose.

Good call, it's actually even worse in 1080p
  10. I rarely think something is bad enough to make a thread about (this is my first in many years) but this one definitely takes the cake for me. This useless red warning comes up right in the center of your screen whenever you try to re-activate a character/car mod when it's still in cooldown, effectively blocking your view right in the center of the screen. Also, this isn't present in the localization files of the game so there is no way to use configs to remove it. The RIOT UI sure is some piece of terrible UI but this is definitely next level. I don't know if it was intentional for this to appear outside of RIOT districts, but that doesn't matter. It needs to go ASAP.
  11. The default UI in APB in general is awful. Not only is it dated now but it's always been cluttered with useless crap and pop ups that you can't disable through normal means. The RIOT UI emphasises how absolutely terrible it is. 1. Why on earth are there two different pop ups that tell you that you picked up a hazmat suit? If anything, I'd need a max of one. 2. Why does it have to tell us the district block where a riot device was armed (right under a larger text that tells you that it's either been armed by your team or an enemy team)? 3. Why does the DEVICE ARMING text have to be soo massive and in the middle of the screen where it blocks vision in a mode where it's ALL ABOUT seeing players before they see you due to the nickname system being different to the core game. 4. Why do we still need to have those big logos at the top of the screen reminding us which mode we are playing? That's pointless and blocks vision whenever you want to use your camera in smart ways to see over walls or cover since that's what you do in a 3rd person shooter. 5. Why do we need extra unnecessarily elongated messages everywhere telling us obvious things like for example the fact that the bribe stage is the final stage? etc etc etc Thankfully, Localization editing exists and I have fixed as much as possible through text editing for myself but you can't leave the UI the way it is now. It looks scary and stressful to new players who wouldn't know what the game is all about in general. It largely blocks vision, like 80% of the information that pop ups on screen is completely useless, you can gain all info that is relevant by just pressing M at any time to see which zones are dangerous. APB needs a HUGE UI rework, from the ground up.
  12. I was not able to be either but I think that the game should go back to it's roots, especially that we've now left the darkest times of the game. Besides, many players still don't actually know what the APB abbreviation stands for. Just bring the name back the way people might know it from RTW days and when they decide to check it out on YouTube and Twitch and it looks much better and more playable than ever, they'll hop on to try it. However, renaming it will likely have to wait until LO are ready to market the game and advertise it around which requires many more updates coming post 3.5.
  13. I've already mentioned it multiple times. LO should drop the whole "Reloaded" thing and go back to the game's roots. Call it "All Points Bulletin" everywhere again, on steam and whatever other platforms. You can't rename the game to something entirely different though.
  14. Looking good in terms of clothing but we could definitely use more weapons in the following waves along with the cosmetics. Good stuff.
  15. Well if EAC isn't enough in the end then nothing will help APB with one of it's core problems. We can only hope that the server-side anti-cheat that EAC provides will make a substantial difference.

    EAC

Should've kept it a secret for a while. Now certain big gamers will prepare for it. But other than that, amazing news, probably some of the best we've heard in a while in APB. A client side anti-cheat is never enough, especially in a game as problematic as APB.
  17. To summarize OP - "cyka blyat, I don't need to respect anyone who doesn't speak my language". 1. There is no reason to learn russian. 2. I wasted all my downvotes for today in this thread. 3. APB is a team game. I agree that there should be a mode for solo's only and one for teams BUT that would require a much much higher number of consistent players in the matchmaking pool. Alternatively, they could make matchmaking flexible so it shifts to put everyone in a single pool if the population hits very very low numbers. It's hard to emphasise just how unfair it is to play solos vs a premade. Taking into account simple things like coordinated team play and loadouts that work well together, voice communication in 99% of cases to more complex issues such as premades who have years and years (4-5+ in some cases) of experience of playing together organised as a team, making it basically impossible to win against as solos. The current system is not good enough however you look at it, even if matchmaking itself sorted players perfectly by skill level, being a premade holds MASSIVE advantage (and that's an understatement). Also, I can see the surrender idea working well that was suggested in one of the posts here. But that should probably be added regardless of anything else.
  18. Me and everyone else I've talked to have been experiencing random small timeout spikes that are about 1-2 seconds long each. (I assume everyone is affected equally across the district and it is not related to location).
