  1. I don't quite like the overly unrealistic approach you're taking with the range on the RFP. I understand that it's a 4 BTK now but a pistol should not have such range. 65m is 15m more than N-TEC without IR3. This is almost as unrealistic as the current state of the HVR. Even if the target gets to hide behind cover before you manage to kill them with 4 bursts, the RFP still will deal great amounts of damage to players at 65m (and more, assuming this is just the base RFP that's being talked about, not even the Fang version with +7m on top of that). It will become even more meta and abused now than before for CQC loadouts. Are we trying to pull the OBIR off from the meta completely or what's up?
  2. Oscar and STAC 10 (Joker SR15 Carbine reskin) are considered close to mid range. If you are looking to have fun then pick whatever you feel like but if you want to make a "strategic" decision based on wanting to have the best possible weapon from a specific role then that's different. Also, no, buying Joker Boxes is a waste of money. You get enough Power JMBs as gifts when you spend money on Armas anyway and those have higher chances of dropping legendaries. If you want a Scout, I would recommend saving up APB$ and buying a Sitting Duck off the marketplace as you need Cooling Jacket 3 in a Scout and the JT store one lacks that. The JT Showstopper is the exact same one as the Armas one - less range than the Thunder legendary but faster fire rate. The Oscar is not worth picking up from the JT store as you unlock a 2 slot leaseable one from Birth/Templeton in Waterfront. The Swarm is a good and fun pick. There are more examples I can give but this is for now at the top of my head.
  3. This question is similar to what weapon you should buy from Armas. In order to get to a proper conclusion, you must consider what weapons you already have, what weapons you use, which ranges/roles you fill most of the time/use as your main weapon and other variables such as whether or not you plan to spend any real money on the game anytime soon and if you are okay with grinding roles to get 2/3 slotted versions of weapons that can be bought with JT. There are plenty of good choices available on the Joker Store (as there are also poor ones) but the answer to your question varies from player to player as there is never a constant good option for the entire playerbase. If you could give more information on what type of APB player you are, I would be able to direct you to the correct purchase.
  4. N-TEC 5 is the superior option in terms of Assault Rifles. But if you really want an ATAC then definitely pick the 2 slot one and give it Hunting Sight 3 and Improved Rifling 3.
  5. This. There isn't anything left to purchase. My premium is on a 6-month subscription basis and I wouldn't pay for JMBs themselves as what they yield is largely useless anyway. (Besides, I already have all legendaries that I will ever need). If you don't have much or any Armas items and you are wondering what to purchase, then that's a completely different story.
  6. I second this. Still waiting on those Reinforced Combats from the Heavy Duty pack to appear on there.
  7. Yeah, marketing before the game is in a good state would be a shot in the foot. We need 3.5 out and a whole bunch of new features, revamps and fixes implemented before it can be called a playable game suitable for newcomers.
  8. I read it earlier today and I noticed that they threw in the "Battle Royale" mode into the mix at the end there. Wonder if that'll attract anyone to the game and anyone who came to try the BR mode out will even find players in it at all.
  9. HVR is still broken as the main issue with it was always the damage output and the range to it compared to every other weapon, not quickswitching. The current "solution" to quickswitching is terrible, counter-intuitive and does not fall in line with the rest of the weapons as it's extremely unrealistic, beyond APB's boundries of unrealistic as it's still supposed to be an urban shooter and not a sci-fi shooter with wind up sniper rifle mechanics. It's absolutely stupid. In fact, there are still plenty of players (at least on Citadel's silver districts) who still do quickswitch with the current version of the HVR but they simply hide behind corners and aim down the sights to get a full hit on target and it can still be viable if played correctly. It's slower, sure, but it's not "fixed". They could instead just increase the stock equip time so that once you equip 3PS3 it would turn it to what the current stock is (or maybe just a liiitle tiny bit faster) and also lower the damage to ~750 and voila, quickswitching is no longer an issue as it's not so "quick" anymore and not nearly as dependable. HVR is back to being intuitive to new players as it doesn't have this rarted accuracy wind up stupid crap mechanic and it makes it so that you need to know how to position yourself and when to pull it out if you play it as a long range sniper from actual long range. It balances out the incredible range and damage output it has if played as a proper long range sniper as you are not 1-shot away from death from virtually any weapon in the game. Jump shooting with it will not be nearly as viable anymore due to the longer equip time as you'll likely be dead by the time you equip it and fire it (not counting the RNG to jump shots with that massive crosshair). Edit: You can still jump shoot with Scout at a decent enough range and it's more viable than you'd think.
  10. There's a difference between bad game design and an exploit. Running at final stage falls into the category of bad game design, it was a concious decision that you would be able to do that and it does not make it an exploit. There are a number of ways you can counter it but they all require a team that is at least decently aware of what they're doing. You need fast car (preferrably a standard or 4x4 Vegas) and someone driving it. You can use car surfer with ALIG or Osmaw or you can lean out the window of the car with a Dog-ear. I also recommend equipping a blowtorch to repair the car should they shoot back at you.
  11. As far as gameplay/in-game questions go I've made a very detailed beginners guide (check my signature) that I've linked to any new players that approach me (which is A LOT), even gone as far as instructing them how to find it through a Google search since in-game chat linking does not work. Unless, you're talking about something else of course.
  12. I've not seen or heard of anyone actually trying to on Citadel and I personally have no real interest in the mode either.
  13. Yes, the N-TEC's skill ceiling is higher and it takes a lot more to master it in each situation and range, especially if you are a solo player. You can still switch to Obeya on longer ranges of course as it is a long range weapon after all. In fact, I would recommend starting off with no red mods on N-TEC as it is easier to solo. Normally you would use Hunting Sight 3, Improved Rifling 3, Mobility Sling (or 3-Point Sling 3 pre-R195) but if you strip the IR3 from that, it's definitely easier to solo as it is much more accurate at full auto and the downside is 7m less effective range than with IR3. However, if you have team mates that can make up for the gun's weaknesses, definitely go with IR3.
  14. As much as I hate having to deal with that many medium (let alone heavy) items, this would probably be the best solution without completely reworking the mission or disabling it.
  15. I play since CBT 2010 and I don't have it either (on the account that I used back then). Wasn't there some other requirement to get it back then than just playing?
  16. This is a massive step in the right direction for APB. Like in other games, as long as it's accessible through grind completely free of charge - no P2W arguments can be made. Also with the revamped Premium in mind, there is nothing people can complain about. If they want something, it's right there for them to grind out. Now we also need some more customizable cosmetic items added there to spruce up the otherwise stale and boring F2P design part of the game.
  17. My biggest issue with it was that it did not support keybinds from my mouse for things like Push to Talk. But overall I find it overly complicated and you can do pretty much everything with OBS Studio which is much simpler to use and frankly looks better.
  18. Best way to handle that is to ban the gifting account if they manage to chargeback and simply take away the item from the gift receiver's account. I dunno if APB is too complicated for this to be done easily/automatically at this state but for future purposes, I believe that this is the way to go.
  19. Yes, almost all of us APB streamers use OBS Studio or Streamlabs OBS (not recommended). It's perfectly safe.
  20. Spotter. Change it so that you get a proper notification somewhere on the HUD that you are spotted and for how long to make it balanced. That's all it needs and it will be just fine. Remote Detonator should have 2min cooldown AT LEAST.
  21. All shotguns still require rebalancing, JG is just as broken as is the NFAS currently. It's a shame that they never reverted the shotgun changes they made and left the game in such a broken state (weapon balancing wise).
