  1. Why am I not surprised that people are starting to bitch and whinge about the CR762 now that the NTEC got nerfed? It's almost like we all called it...
  2. Just remember that timed exclusives are a cancer on the industry, and if you want to keep pushing forward with a good public image you'll want to avoid them. Your stated intention of moving away from lootboxes by removing them in favor of more traditional purchasing options (hopefully we'll see action to back up those statements soon) is a good example of you taking the game in a better direction. Let's try to avoid taking a step back while we're at it, eh?
  3. "By end of 2018." "By end of 2019." Soon: "By end of 2020."
  4. APB has nothing to do with it. 2FA is a very simple thing: It prevents account access without the 2FA device. If it's available to be used, you'd be an idiot to not use it.
  5. Considering you interact with the community far more than Lixil ever did, not sure how much things change with this. Still though, well wishes to her along her journey.
  6. Alternatively, use Custom Desktop Logo. Completely free, significantly more robust, and not reliant on a parent codebase.
  7. Took long enough. Literally gamebreaking, but left ignored for at least a year.
  8. Clarification is needed: When you purchase stuff on ARMAS, do you still receive loyalty points? Do you still receive a Gold PJMB every 1,000 loyalty points? Can you still purchase normal JMBs? Answer these questions directly without going off on a tangent, and we may better be able to understand the issues at play here.
  9. Some play due to addiction, but most are still around because of the hope that the engine upgrade will be some miracle cure to all of APB's problems. Once the engine upgrade drops, and people are finally forced to accept the hard truth of what it actually entails, the playerbase numbers will drop off a cliff. Delusion is a hell of a drug.
  10. Revamp the vanilla spawn system, and then remove Mobile Spawn Point. It's the only way to return spawn map balance, which is currently one of the biggest balance issues in the game. I'd also say just remove Mobile Radar Tower entirely. It's always been a buggy mess, and ultimately doesn't add all that much value to the game anyways.
  11. The more amazing thing to me is that people are even bothering to play in this current game state. Segregation was never implemented well in this game, but it still offered some measure of basic order to the threat level spread. Even with the rampant dethreating and mechanical abuse, you would generally see matches that were vaguely balanced. Open conflict though... has never been remotely playable. It's beyond mind-boggling to me that LO thought it remotely acceptable to just disable the one thing keeping even the slightest barrier between casual players and the hardcore veterans.
  12. Considering this is intended to be temporary in the first place, that's not much of a bet. They've already explained where they intend to take the shotguns next, and while I doubt it'll work as well as rayscaling did, it's still a fairly solid idea in theory. Really though, they should just scrap this revert and instead take even the slightest effort to push some balance tweaks on the rayscaling. Could easily start by simply flattening the curve a bit on the shotguns that are overperforming. That would require LO to actually think for themselves though, instead of just instantly scrapping all their work every other week to listen to people who don't even play the game anymore.
  13. They aren't going to answer this, because that would require them to admit to hypocrisy.
  14. Only if you have no clue how it works, as you clearly don't based on your mod suggestions. The gun is a beast if played properly... although with the shotgun mechanics revert removing the rayscaling, the old inconsistency issues will return and gimp the Shredder like the rest.
  15. Welp, it was fun while it lasted. Time to toss the shotguns back in storage, since they're going to be completely useless again...
  16. Sounds like the new provider is just as bad as the old one. This same issue happened the last time. Looks like I'll continue to play other games for the time being, Open Conflict is always a complete shitshow and it'll be no different now.
  17. Yes, and? That has nothing to do with what I posted.
  18. The classics bundle is missing the standard "Glow in the Dark" skin, which was part of Halloween many years ago. Easy enough to overlook this due to not being Halloween themed. Puts a flat off-white color on the gun that glows a greenish hue, no symbols or anything like the other ones. Could this be looked into getting fixed?
  19. My literal hundreds of hours of rooftop airbursting disagrees. Trying to airburst someone at 100m will result in overshooting them, every time... unless they pull a Prometheus School of Running Away From Things moment and walk right into the center of the blast, of course.
  20. Still wish they'd make this available to be used normally. Would need a downside when equipped of course, but I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to balance it. Laughs in 110m Volcano. With a bit of practice you can airburst the EoLs too, although Kickback is the only one that can really do this effectively.
  21. Honestly, they should just figure out what is causing/allowing the exploit to exist and then "fix" it by integrating it as an actual feature. This would of course require them to add a toggle in the options menu that allows each player to individually decide whether or not they want to hear other player's full themes, which by default should be set to the vanilla of only the first five seconds. Could even go a step further and instead of a toggle, make it a drop-down that lets the player decide how much of another player's theme they hear (e.g., disable themes, first five seconds, full themes).
