If you're looking for a challenge and/or like playing immensely underpowered and unpopular weapons, go for it. They do look awesome, and most of the skins they have are nice. Though their mechanics and overall stats are laughably bad, and the best one isn't even the "super special with all 3 mods" you get by buying the whole pack.

June 2019 - Engine Upgrade progress (screenshots & video)

That video looks good. Interesting social store music choice. Though I'm afraid the oversaturation will be a thing and I'm going to have to manually take away some color from APB once it's released. Also not a fan of the missing shadows in shadowed-areas. But lighting isn't final so I'll wait on that one. -
Where can i buy the Frenso Car with 4 Free Slots ?
GhosT replied to TackoGirl's topic in General Discussion Archive
As a fresno driver since forever, wanting one on my second character.. I found out the hard way that the only way to get one is to get it in joker boxes. And no, it's not timed. If you get a car in JMBs, you get a lease of the car for a year aswell as its unlock, the unlocked car costs $1500 and is permanent. -

This is amazing progress. Nighttime looks extremely good, but I can't get over the fact how oversaturated and colorful everything is during the day. That doesn't suit APB imo. Vehicles look very much out of place in daytime. -
Seeing how LO handled RIOT and Shotguns, they certainly don't.
-
And that's where you meet in the middle and allow grouping, but only up to two players per group. Though with the population it's still impossible to stop people from grouping up without being in the same team, as we've already got 8 man groups or even higher running around. The whole battle royale thing doesn't fit nor does it work with APB at all.
-
Some areas, especially at night, are extremely dark and the only thing that'll show up is red names and glowing weapon skins, I've lost a few firefights due to not knowing what exactly I have to aim at.
-
Instead of fixing problems, you guys decide to make it even more problematic. Speaking about these changes: RIOT - Players now keep their unlocked weapons when they respawn in RIOT RIOT - Primary weapon unlock now costs $2,000 RIOT - Secondary weapon unlock now costs $1,000 Why are player selected weapons a thing in the first place, and why would the starting gun be one of the best secondaries in the game? You increase weapon prices, but at the same time drastically decrease them because you don't need to buy them a escond time. At this point you'll be running around with too much cash you can't spend.

There's quite a difference between ever so slightly adjusting things to make a game run better, and abusing every option possible to gain an advantage. See particle removal, outline shaders, super low textures, no shadows, removing animations so enemies in cover T-Pose out of cover, modifying sound files to make footsteps louder and so on.

Yo, what? The majority voted yes, but whenever I state that some configs are borderline cheating, nobody seems to agree.

If you have a plan LO .... and behold

Once again, when will people understand that it's actually impossible to create a fair matchmaking system with a playerbase that small. -
For me, it happened on The Hidden Menace. I was on the criminal side, the final stage started in our favour, enforcers managed to defuse the bomb, and we could spam F all over the place and you couldn't interact with it since the bomb model itself disappeared once the enforcers defused it.
-
You don't even need to be code savvy at all to realize what a mess APBs code is. Hell, the newest update even broke the final bomb stage where the objective just disappears once interacted with, forcing one side to lose without any chance of winning. How does that even happen.

Think pioneer, espacio and 4x4 vegas need some adjustments. There is absolutely no reason to use any other car, ever.
-
I really, really don't understand why every developer has a hard on for 3d menus these days. I have yet to see one that doesn't look like crap.
-
I still think RIOT needs a complete overhaul in order to succeed. The battle royale style simply won't work.
-
Rework riot so that all it does is new action district missions with new objectives instead of a poorly made battle royale. Launch riot missions if you're pledged to the riot contact. Also solves the population problem, especially on jericho.

This patch don't feel like upgrade, it feels like downgrade.

I've tried my part and everyone I've convinced rightfully complained that the new mode is unplayable and left again. -

RIOT now splits the playerbase even further, EAC doesn't really seem to do anything, and my game constantly crashes. Not fun. -
But it even says "NEXT TIME" if you win.

Is RFP the biggest crutch since HVR & Yukon fixes?
GhosT replied to Tigrix's topic in General Discussion Archive
Now what kind of comparision is this? The RFP and HVR are fundamentally different. Both the RFP and OBIR are 3 round burst weapons, and are comparable in certain points. Especially at mid range where the OBIR should be the better choice, the RFP can still easily outgun the OBIR, especially the Fang. -
Why does the end screen even say "NEXT TIME"?

GhosT replied to Tigrix's topic in General Discussion Archive
True. Secondaries in games have always been fall-back-weapons in most cases, same thing happened in APB. Yet some secondaries are primary-worthy, while some primaries could go through as some of the worst secondaries. APB balance is whack. -

When comparing weapons I don't usually put one into cover to make it better than it actually is. If both players are out in the open, it's easy enough to outgun the OBIR. Let's not forget that this is APB and you don't always have cover. And yeah, you do have a point there, bad players shouldn't balance weapons, but nor should good players. I've seen a lot of good players during all the years of APB saying gun X is perfectly fine, but they all ended up getting nerfed.
