  1. Now what kind of comparision is this? The RFP and HVR are fundamentally different. Both the RFP and OBIR are 3 round burst weapons, and are comparable in certain points. Especially at mid range where the OBIR should be the better choice, the RFP can still easily outgun the OBIR, especially the Fang.
  2. Why does the end screen even say "NEXT TIME"?
  3. True. Secondaries in games have always been fall-back-weapons in most cases, same thing happened in APB. Yet some secondaries are primary-worthy, while some primaries could go through as some of the worst secondaries. APB balance is whack.
  4. When comparing weapons I don't usually put one into cover to make it better than it actually is. If both players are out in the open, it's easy enough to outgun the OBIR. Let's not forget that this is APB and you don't always have cover. And yeah, you do have a point there, bad players shouldn't balance weapons, but nor should good players. I've seen a lot of good players during all the years of APB saying gun X is perfectly fine, but they all ended up getting nerfed.
  5. That's because the RFP is better than the OBIR, unless at long range.
  6. Over the years, people have left APB behind. Most don't care enough anymore to even keep up with the game. The best chance is to release the engine upgrade, add some contacts with actual content, and then advertise it.
  7. Yeah, financial does look like someone imported it into Garry's Mod and placed a bunch of props, but there's only so much you can do to existing maps.
  8. At this point, even 3.5 won't do much. The damage has been done. It's nearly impossible to fix what G1 did.
  9. That's a valid point, but I fear doing that would make all the guns the same rather than having a bunch of unique guns, which in return makes the game feel dull.
  10. Yeah, they somehow think it's useless now. It's still ridiculously strong, 850 damage is no joke.
  11. Nah, N-TEC is. RFP is a close competitor though.
  12. It's unlikely that APB is still alive just because Little Orbit came along. Let's not forget that all they did so far was basically adding a trading system, a couple events and a even smaller weapon pool due to their incredibly stupid shotgun changes. The two new anti cheat systems aren't really working all that well either. Nothing has really changed in the game since LO took over, APB only continues to live due to its massive potential and unique gameplay and there not being any alternative, it lived through many years of G1 never doing anything, so there's that. Though it seems like the time has come. Even with a relatively big patch of new content, APBs population doesn't rise. It's already under 1000 on all servers. Sad times.
  13. What even is this update. Not only is RIOT a complete failure, but they also managed to break the whole game. Constant crashes in any district. I've never had crashes in APB before. 8 crashes in one hour of gameplay is anything but fun. The game not being able to remember me after ticking "remember me" in 2FA is mildly annoying too.
  14. Wouldn't necessarily call the FBW overpowered, but it should be replaced with something like the OCSP, FR0G or whatever. Buying and looting secondaries makes no sense when you spawn with the best one in the first place.
  15. Oh no, someone got a 5 day lease of an OBIR. Oh and, if you really bought the FFA for $25mil, damn. F.
  16. Problem here is that Battle Royales usually have their own queues for groups, duos and solos, while APBs BR is just 4-man teams with randoms. Now you could argue "but apex has forced 3-man teams", but apex is also a lot easier and you can hold your ground alone well enough. Now for the "lol get friends" thing. The main problem with this is the population. Everyone that's left is just their own private "clan" with their few friends, and no one else will get into that circle. There aren't really any clans left you could join, most people on discord refuse to play or even use voice chat. It sucks when APB is in a dying state and all those people you've played APB with stopped playing it years ago, for understandable reasons.
  17. I think most if not all of the issues were already reported here and in other threads, some of the main issues being able to group up and buying personal primary weapons. The following might seem quite negative, but it's my honest opinion and putting flowers on everything doesn't help, especially with the track record of APB (or more like G1), who have been making horrible decisions for a decade, both from a business and development standpoint. I understand it's a beta, but picture it this way. We've had two OTW tests, with the exact same feedback we've been giving you guys now that it's officially released, and absolutely nothing has changed to the live build. You guys even went and said that you've received "positive feedback" in those tests, which we all know isn't true at all. I don't know why you've pushed it to live now, hoping you'd get more data or something? If anything, this is the first release of RIOT and thanks to that has now earned the reputation of being one of the worst game modes in APB yet, and fixing that isn't easy. There isn't even any incentive to play the mode considering there's absolutely no rewards other than one new weapon skin locked at level 5, with 4 levels below that unlocking absolutely nothing. Not to mention the grind required for level 5. Then there's the population problem, especially on Jericho, which renders a battle royale game mode as unplayable due to not having enough players. Even Citadel out of peak times has trouble creating matches. I thought you guys learned that in the previous two district-wide missions. Not to mention that these mass-missions bring a lot of issues too, like player names not rendering, which is a fundamental feature in APB. I don't know why you guys keep doing district-wide events and game modes, they're buggy, they aren't what APB should be, nor is it something people actually want. Especially battle royale, which already earned a lot of negative feedback years ago when G1 announced that with their summer event, yet you guys still went through with it. In my opinion RIOT in itself is an awesome concept, but making it a battle royale is what ruins it. I think RIOT would have succeeded WAY more if it was built up like action districts with regular mission rulesets and a set of new riot-related missions. Mass-misisons don't work, especially not if one needs 16 players to even start a mission.
  18. I just find it sad that so much time and work went into this, just to make it a battle royale while saying it's not a battle royale, completed by not listening to OTW feedback at all. I think this game mode would have worked out well if it was built up like action districts with RIOT-related missions in that "new" financial with regular mission rulesets (eg. 2-4 players per team, stages). But noo, we're gonna desperately try to cash in on the battle royale hype. F
  19. That was G1, and they never started working on it.
  20. Or a max of 2 premades, the low population really kills the potential.
  21. Seriously though, being able to go premade in RIOT removes all the potential fun it could bring.
  22. I'm wondering why they even bothered to do OTW tests when they don't listen to feedback at all. Not to mention saying said feedback was "mostly positive" when it really wasn't.
  23. One in social and one in riot-financial.
