Why would I delete one of the main customization things in APB? Just because a lot of people choose mainstream themes? You still meet a few people that are creative enough to use more creative themes, and you can hear you own one. Yeah no, I don't know why you always say that.

He's too new to have some sick tunes. Nothing good on the market these days.

True.. I forgot you're new to APB. :^) You never lived the golden age of APB... :(

Themes are a part of APBs customization and I like them. It adds a little something hearing your own theme when you MVP. Also, hearing random themes can be awesome. But sadly everyone these days is running nzev, prop or msvane themes, of which pretty much all are overused and/or bad.

What, the HVR isn't viable anymore because it finally has to be played like it was intended to be played? It's still a 850 damage on one click gun. It's still insane and immensely helps your team. No, he obviously used the silenced HVR. Why do you call the HVR "Adeen"? And you're VERY outdated. Silencers don't slow down the chambering animation anymore. Haven't done so for years.

Why did Paysafecard card payment got removed
GhosT replied to hempx's topic in General Discussion Archive
You might want to pay into steam wallet using your paysafecard, and then use steam wallet as a payment method for G1C. -
If you got a more or less up to date gaming pc, doesn't even have to be high end, you'll have no lags on waterfront. You'll have 10-20 less FPS, but that's not really a noticeable problem when you average FPS is 100 or even higher. Besides that, it's a lot more unique, looks miles better and plays differently every mission. Even though some spots and spawns are absolutely unbalanced, it's still a more fun map to me.

Waterfront is my favourite district. It's a matter of time till it dies out on citadel too...

The fact that there has been barely any content updates besides paid content for 5 or 6 years. GamersFirst made a LOT of bad decisions, a few larger ones, and a thousand smaller ones.

FBW firing mechanic is bad for the game.

I think there's way more problematic guns that need to be looked at. Though you do have a tiny point. I'd rather see other secondaries buffed tho. -
Losing HP when bailing out at full speed would be a start. And disallowing people from teleporting into vehicles.

If you know someone's corner camping an nfas, just go another route or if you absolutely have to take his, spam your 3 yields.

Pre-nerf as in before LO touched the shotguns. At that point CSG/JG were a lot more effective and rewarding, while the NFAS was a basically melee weapon.
-
Pre-nerf CSG and JG were a lot better than the current NFAS. Now whine about the NFAS, but no one whined about the CSG and JG.

RIOT Open Test Postponed to 5/10 (UPDATED 5/1)
GhosT replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
I'm kinda missing the "removal of player loadouts and vehicles" in there. One of the biggest things that makes a BR a BR is that you never know what you're going to play with, which includes weapons and vehicles. If you can just meta spam the N-TEC and Pioneers every match, you've already got a huge advantage. Especially if you're premade and you can equip the perfect team loadout. Loadouts should be randomized at any given point, and legendary drops throughout the map should be fully modded meta weapons such as the N-TEC or OCA instead of actual legendaries of which most are pretty bad. We haven't experienced player vehicles yet due to the bug, but it won't be fun once we start seeing pioneers, espacios and 4x4s rolling around. I understand that you want to release RIOT as it is right now, but its the very first release of RIOT, and thus the first experience for everyone, its also the most important release. If you change things down the line, it's a good thing, but it certainly won't attract new players. Look at Ring of Elysium vs Apex Legends. Both came out, a lot of people played them, but one of them miserably failed, even though they do a lot of changes based on feedback. -
Or just use paypal. Or prepaid cash cards.

As an event thing, I don't mind it. Definitely shouldn't stay there forever though. How'd the cars and everything else even get there? Airlifted by cargo helicopters?

RIOT Stress Test 4/24 Feedback Thread

That does indeed work on paper. But then again there's code to be made to get automated district phasing, and then there's the population problem so it'll still take quite a while to fill a whole new district, especially on jericho. But your idea is the least they should do if they want RIOT to succeed. -

Yeah, I can't really see it work out. We're going to have to wait till the match is over, or join a different district and wait till their match is over. Neither can I see how this could be adjusted without fundamentally changing the game mode, which would be removing the battle royale aspect with limited lifes. -

Except that this doesn't work, and staying in your district is probably the better choice. For citadel, we'll most likely get a couple full districts, which is, let's say, 5 RIOT matches running. Not only do you have to be lucky enough to get a free spot in another district, you also have to be lucky enough to join a district just when their mission is about to restart. Now do that with a friend, or even worse, three friends. We all know the pain of joining a full district. You can't just go back to the lobby and instantly start playing again. Even with district phasing, it wouldn't work, simply because the playerbase isn't there to constantly populate a new match. -

Personal loadout is definitely an issue, but you mentioning cars is a good point. We haven't really experienced personal vehicles yet, because spawning them was broken. Now imagine we could spawn cars and you run into a pioneer with 4 ntecs inside. -

I might add that with RIOT, a premade group is at an extreme advantage, more so than in regular districts. If the mode was limited to duo teams, it wouldn't be as noticeable. But a 4 man premade team will stomp a team of 4 randoms at all times. -

Another thing I noticed, the chat box spams you with a lot of information, sometimes even duplicate. This hinders non-voice communication with random players because it'll push your group/team messages out of the box. Also, green garage doors. -

On another note, due to it being on such a big map, it feels empty most of the time. I've been running around for 10 minutes doing riot access codes and arming gas bombs without seeing anyone. Should've limited the map a little more. Oh, - and just like the previous two events you guys made, there's too many players per mission and the game can't handle it, causing odd respawns and enemies not having names, even up close. I think the event should've been on a part of financial that was maybe a third as big as the whole district, and a smaller player count with 2, max 3 players per team, to avoid this glitch and the empty feeling you get while playing the mode. Another idea would be to create a few RIOT-related missions set up like action district missions, where you play against other players just like you'd do in regular financial/waterfront, but with riot objectives instead. Would also get rid of the insanely long waiting-phase when you die, and the glitches you get with mass-missions. The waiting is what drives people away from BR, and with a small playerbase like APB, I don't think RIOT will succeed in the way it is right now. It doesn't help that you can't just re-queue into a match like you can in Apex Legends or other BR games, you have to manually pick a district and hope a round is about to begin. And let's be frank, there's going to be two to three full districts with one round each, on citadel. Even worse on Jericho. A BR doesn't work in APB. Players want to play the game. If you die, you're stuck waiting for the mission to end, which can take a long time if you die early to mid-game. Doesn't help that the spectator mode doesn't show you anything like names, team members or the kill feed. Can't switch spectators either. But I'm actually surprised you added a working spectator mode instead of ghosting like in slay bells. -

1. How does RIOT compare to other APB game modes? It doesn't really compare to other APB game modes, other than the epidemic event. APB to me has always been a criminals vs cops game, a battle royale-ish mode doesn't suit it at all in my opinion. 2. Would you encourage your friends to play RIOT? At it's current state, no. Though as it's new content, I'd at least ask them to try it with me. You can always leave it you don't like it. 3. How would you explain RIOT to someone who has never seen it? A slower battle royale with quirks. You can do little side objectives or just go on a rampage. 4. What ONE THING would you change about RIOT if you could? Remove personal player loadouts. 5. What is your favorite aspect of RIOT? Adding lore and more content to APB. 6. What about RIOT do you like the least? The fact that you can get your personal loadout. It doesn't help that with a little luck, you can instantly equip your loadout. So far I've hoped that RIOT would spice up the game and force players to play differently, but you're still playing a game where most of your enemies are using N-TECs and cargameplay, so there's still little variety. I haven't really been able to test it much yet due to the stress test being on NA for some reason, and warping is a common thing, both yourself and your enemies. Should've done a stress test on EU instead, since that's where the most players come from. Oh, side note, you can't access the riot contact by pressing J and clicking contacts. Nothing important, but for consistency I'd add them. All previous event contacts were in there.- 69 replies
