  1. I'd prefer that they let me rent the guns for half the price or perhaps even for free once I had maxed the role. Since they aren't on ARMAS anyway I don't see the point in not making them permanent or pseudo-permanent. If not that just put a 3 slot OPGL in the JT store I guess.
  2. I can say that not playing any games for over 2 months now and starting some other hobbies has positively affected my view on gaming. I no longer see gaming as part of my daily routine and have gone back to viewing it as a fun past time activity. I now have a list of games in my head that I will play once I have built a new computer some time next year. All these games I've always wanted to play but never did because I was "busy" playing "name of go to game". If you want APB to become more fresh again, or perhaps gaming less stale as a whole, I suggest staying away from all gaming for a little while and make some new connections in your brain. Kind offtopic but just my 2 cents
  3. The only difference between a bronze and a high tier gold is aiming? What? Regardless, I'm not for silencing people based on their threat, so lets just leave that point aside. If aim was the only difference we'd have newer players who blatantly cheat dominate everyone and yet high level golds can easily defeat them. Different threats move around the map in different ways, their split second decision making skill is completely different too. There's so many more nuances to this, as with anything skill involved, but lets keep it short. You can't just cramp it down to one deciding factor. There are people who do not aim like the top and yet they can compete with the top because they got ahead in other areas. Elitism doesn't get us anywhere but we do need to acknowledge that higher tier players are capable of things that lower tier ones aren't. When it comes to detecting cheaters, the odds are that the higher tier player will notice things that others didn't. Whether this means he's right more often is debatable, but disregarding tier differences is just as pointless as making them the end all be all. Every perspective needs to be considered within its context if you want a discussion that yields something.
  4. At this point I don't really intend to come back to APB and I'm rapidly moving away from gaming as a whole. Still, I have been here so long that I want to watch the end, regardless of outcome.
  5. My favorite camp spot counters are the OPGL and the DMR (if two shot is possible). While getting good with them is guaranteed to clear the spot for you, you need to have teammates that can capitalize on your move. This is because you don't want to be in a vulnerable spot so that you can maximize your pressure on the location. However it's really difficult for people to realize what you are doing without proper communication. Try to tell them in teamchat what you are going to do and just hope for the best. Unless you happen to get matched with a very good player who reads your move, chances are that you have to capitalize on your action yourself and just somehow try to wing it. As someone who solos 90% of the time let me tell you that breaking a spot against a premade when you are soloing can be essentially impossible. You can manage to lure premades into doing mistakes which can open up an opportunity. Still, my go to mindset in such a scenario is that I don't feel like prolonging the stomp anyway. The best advice I can give you in that scenario is to just play for kills and ignore the win. Try to cause as much disruption as you can so that next time you have an opportunity to break a hold, the practice you did in those impossible scenarios will be of value to you.
  6. Don't know if this was answered but, SPCM disbanded. As an ex-member I can tell you it was a complete joke anyway. Outside of the chat tag we didn't get anything from G1. We had a forum to post suggestions in but almost every single one was either slammed or ignored. 80% of the questions answered were just about asking what SPCM means. It's probably the most half hardheartedly thrown together players helping players program you've ever seen. The only good thing I got from joining that program was the contract, which I sent a copy of to Tiggs when I had lost access to my account. She accepted that as proof of ownership, lucky me.
  7. this was a good change but as always another win to titles disabled gang
  8. I think you need to have a look from outside yourself and stop projecting your reasons onto others, assuming that everyone quit because of exactly the same reasons. I would like to elaborate, but I only have so much free-time these days and I won't write more than two rows for a reply you won't even attempt to consider.
  9. I have played on Jericho for thousands of hours and by now, hundreds of hours on Citadel. De-threaters have always been an issue. Jericho is mostly dead now but on citadel I used to see at least one every day just recently. Considering that I have not had access to bronze servers for around 6 years now, my viewpoint is rather limited. Still, I'm confident in assuming that even worse scum is in those districts.
  10. I just remember porkuspigus using three different civ cars in the same mission, to try and blow me up. Such commitment I can't but not appreciate.
  11. Aren't you that guy who uses civil lookalike cars with your remote det? You're always gold to me.
  12. Scott promised that unban, who have been familiar with this situation. I perfectly remember that in some article "little orbit" talk about block accounts will. He wrote in some article "little orbit" talk about block. And with this game long to blocking, forever. Matt Scott promised same, it is not want to understand this situation. I perfectly remember the players who have been familiar with another measure punishment. EAC they respond with a pattern. Matt Scott promised.
  13. Yeah, you're right. I confused it with the Dog Ear for a sec. It's another favorite of mine after all.
  14. The DMR is perfectly fine apart from the silencer downsides, which are bad for any gun atm. I purchased both the SD and AV version from ARMAS and it's quickly turned into my favorite weapon. It is by no means meta and does get outgunned on paper. Still, if you adjust your playstyle and put in the practice, you can win against the meta. It does require more effort though, so be prepared to lose some at first. Let me give you some personal tips, since I have a lot of hours with the gun: First off, no DMR is straight up better than the other. The SD and AV excel at different things. While the AV has decent hard damage, the preset mod setup prevents you from using 3PS, which will limit its flexibility in closer ranges. The increased recoil can mess you up when using the rapid fire technique, which I will tell you in a bit. The SD is a lot nice for 1 on 1 combat, due to the decreased recoil and open slots. For extreme long range, the SD is also the better choice due to the lesser recoil and the silencer. If you peak someone at 95m, it's almost impossible to tell where it's coming from by visual and audio queues. Only map knowledge would let a person figure out where your best hiding spot would be. Now, while the DMR is a heavy sniper on paper, do NOT play it like that. The DMR playstyle is unique because you play it like an OBIR, HVR, Dog Ear or Scout depending on the situation. Corner peaking with the DMR is really nice because it has relatively fast zoom in and you can insta pistol swap after a shot. You can use this at all ranges, even in CQC. Pop off a shot or two and then finish them off with your sidearm, as you would do it with an OBIR. See a guy in the open? Play it like a dog ear and just tap em down. Gets even quicker when you rapid fire. Very long range? Congrats, you hit like a truck. Just camp it out like an HVR, if you want to. And if you wanna style on your enemy, play it like a budget scout. Jump around and pop off shots inbetween jumps. This is risky though, just so you know. Finally, what is rapid firing? Well as the name implies you shoot as fast as possible. The DMR has sweet spots within it's zoom in timespan, where the gun is accurate enough to hit, without your crosshair being fully closed. This is hard to describe on paper, so you will just have to get a feel for it. Generally, from ranges 1-40m, a 50% closed crosshair should be accurate enough to consistently hit. At 80% closed you should hit up until around 70m, after that go for the fully closed shots. This technique allows you to lower your TTK by a good amount, which often surprises people. This is especially effective in close range peaking because you can delete over half the enemies health and then just pistol them down. Now, keep in mind that the DMR is NOT a better weapon than any of the ones I mentioned. They excel at their roles for a reason. Still, the DMR is a nice hybrid that I'm really enjoying. If only for the salt of two tapping people. Hope this helps
  15. At the start of the thread this was about you and one other replier, I couldn't know it affected everybody. My point still stands regardless.
  16. I can see the ammo nerf being reasonable, the other one not so much. The only thing that bothers me with the Ntec is how agressive it can be in cqc. All though this isn't an objective flaw, as it is a combination of stats and player skill. I've always preferred the play style of the scoped ntec, which can shred even harder on marksmanship mode after some practice, but is rather limited when it comes to going doomguy around corners. My personal suggestion has always been to make the ntec similar to the scoped ntec, but give it a little touch of love as well.
  17. Yeah support times are bad, so let's just have several hundred tickets get their own individual threads. That will sure speed up response time.
  18. Legend says that if you take Matt out on the best date of his life, all permanent valentine weapons will appear in your inventory the following day.
  19. If by mobility you mean the sprint speed I agree that shouldn't be touched. If you are referring to the insane jumpshot accuracy, the almost instant zoom in allowing for corner popping with zero risk or the fact that you can insta pistol swap after a 450 damage burst, then yes, one of these things should be looked at imo. The burst pistol swap cqc OBIR is so braindead that even I can do well with it. Then again I really dislike that forced delay they put on snipers, that's the main reason I use a DMR now. Honestly if they make it so you can't jumpshot as easily, I'm fine with the rest.
  20. That has never happened to me and I've never seen anyone claim this was an actual issue until now. Furthermore, you can turn off all titles which you should be doing anyway since they obstruct vision, especially in a packed fightclub.
  21. A lot of people have been using this for years, myself included. The reminder is appreciated though. It's a nice QoL change with very few downsides.
  22. I was gonna write a proper response but then I saw who made the thread. Realizing that I just saved a good ten minutes of my life by not writing it, was a strangely nice feeling.
  23. I think you gotta keep in mind that this is a third person shooter, which makes holding angles a lot easier. Grenades need to be powerful or the odds of you successfully pushing a lot of spots in the game become very minor (assuming equally skilled opponents). That said, the grenade spam from ammo boxes and maybe the yolos need further thought, luckily this seems to be on LO's mind already. As a good example think of the spot at eva orlandez. It's essentially all corridor entrances, try pushing that without nades against a good enemy. I can agree that it can be annoying to dodge five nades before getting pushed but nerfing them too much would make certain places painfully hard to attack.
