  1. in this scenario the gold or silver district would become "purgatory" and then where do all those players play? not banning cheaters is foolish tbh, afaik every other comparable game bans cheaters also the insane PR backlash from announcing "we will no longer be permanently banning cheaters" would likely be enough to kill the game all on its own
  2. is this a parody of the west coast sound / 10 since we're on hiphop
  3. okay, for arguments sake lets say that cheaters should be allowed to continue playing as long as they cheat "gently" what happens to this kick system when the average skill level of a district is now attuned to a level achieved with cheats?
  4. do you understand the difference between a shawcopter and a person with a 50ms delay triggerbot? neither of them are "gently cheating" but one of them is very obviously a more visible problem
  5. they didnt play gently, back when we had just punkbuster as an anticheat and there was pretty much no threat of a ban as long as you didnt go full blatant the closets werent even closets lol
  6. leaving aside the terrible idea of allowing cheaters a real time avenue to test cheat settings without any consequences, i doubt that this manual fairfight review is going to go on much longer - iirc theyre only doing this while they fix BE and FF up to their standards
  7. it wouldnt kill the progression system any more than the ability to buy and use the original mods off the marketplace killed the progression system when r195 was the max
  8. removing the r195 requirement is a lot simpler than revamping the joker ticket system imo theres just no need for these few mods to be locked to a majority of players, especially when some of them alter core gameplay mechanics
  9. you are aware the old system and the current system are nearly identical, the only change would be a visual one what you are describing is closer to the rtw threat system which iirc based threat off of your last 100 matches or so
  10. oof OT: not sure how sony or microsoft would deal with crossplay tbh, it might mean that the pc playerbse would be restricted to console rules and regulations which is something i wouldnt be a fan of
  11. i mean it is still running, regardless of how effective you think it is id rather they not turn back on the false banning features though?
  12. you have a strange obsession with transgenders? iirc this is the second time youve brought it up all on your own lol
  13. no, theoretically every player in the game could get the gold prize in either fc in asylum first prize is based simply on cash earned, all you have to do is play asylum and you can reach it in baylan first prize is based on a certain number of daily activity-esque objectives (5 kills with secondary, 3 assists, 2 vehicle kills, etc) all you need to do is hit that number and you reach it
  14. everything checked out, apparently there was some sort of issue with the account itself, there was no unban from orbit from my pov theres no longer a conflicting issue here, just a mistake on my account/my end
  15. im saying the chargeback could very well have been initiated well within the 90 days or 120 days, and then when/if g1 contested it, the time frame was dragged out i dont have anything more than passing knowledge on the process that happens when a company contests thousands of dollars of chargebacks, but it makes sense to me
  16. i think most of us are aware of the posted process, but the issue is that these accounts were banned by ff and are now unbanned at the very least, in my case the ban reason of cheating was correct, so unless they decided to file it under a different violation theres something happening here
  17. its just a pet peeve of mine when people point to faction imbalance, i like to point out that it exists on both sides fair point, and i would like competitive threat and leaderboards back, dunno if i made that clear lol
  18. if anything this would boost the marketplace, since removing the r195 restriction would allow a large part of the population to purchase these mods off of the mp
  19. idk missions go both ways, theres several car stealing missions where enfs can just enter the vehicle without having to break in but yeah, i just think that the sheer scale of things that should be fixed first make competitive threat kind of pointless
  20. its very possible g1 attempted legal action to stop the chargebacks, especially since it was such a large amount of money, i still dont see the issue with the timing tbh
  21. id argue that there should be a massive balancing pass through first - and not just weapons either - since having a "competitive" rank system encourages the win-at-any-cost mentality which encourages exploits and abusing broken mechanics
