everything checked out, apparently there was some sort of issue with the account itself, there was no unban from orbit from my pov theres no longer a conflicting issue here, just a mistake on my account/my end

im saying the chargeback could very well have been initiated well within the 90 days or 120 days, and then when/if g1 contested it, the time frame was dragged out i dont have anything more than passing knowledge on the process that happens when a company contests thousands of dollars of chargebacks, but it makes sense to me

i think most of us are aware of the posted process, but the issue is that these accounts were banned by ff and are now unbanned at the very least, in my case the ban reason of cheating was correct, so unless they decided to file it under a different violation theres something happening here

its just a pet peeve of mine when people point to faction imbalance, i like to point out that it exists on both sides fair point, and i would like competitive threat and leaderboards back, dunno if i made that clear lol

if anything this would boost the marketplace, since removing the r195 restriction would allow a large part of the population to purchase these mods off of the mp

idk missions go both ways, theres several car stealing missions where enfs can just enter the vehicle without having to break in but yeah, i just think that the sheer scale of things that should be fixed first make competitive threat kind of pointless

its very possible g1 attempted legal action to stop the chargebacks, especially since it was such a large amount of money, i still dont see the issue with the timing tbh

id argue that there should be a massive balancing pass through first - and not just weapons either - since having a "competitive" rank system encourages the win-at-any-cost mentality which encourages exploits and abusing broken mechanics

actually asked this question last night in discord i personally feel this information is incorrect, as an old account of mine was unbanned this account recieved an email stating that it was ff banned for cheating (idk how orbit feels about old g1 support messages being posted, so ill hold off on that) just wondering if theres some internal miscommunication happening at orbit

i dont think cooky is saying matt is against banning, as obviously the player cheated and should be punished, but that given the attitude towards cheating whether orbit would support allowing cheaters another chance after that punishment (being allowed to reroll on a fresh account with no tracking or w/e) for all we know it could be a combination of solutions where your fresh accounts are tracked but not banned until theres a flag, and after a certain number of "chances" you just start getting autobanned - this seems to have been g1's solution, albeit they were far too lenient with the number of second chances imo

removing the r195 mod restriction would be nice, since theres no reason for those mods not to work just like the others i dont really understand the whole "it removes leveling encouragement"; those arent the only things unlocked at "end game" levels you still receive a free copy and the ability to purchase the mods for cost, as rewards

im pretty sure no one thinks battleye will magically stop all cheaters, and if they do they deserve the rude awakening tbh what battleye hopefully does is mitigate the cheating issues to the point where we dont have cheaters lasting months or even years, and where blatants dont get to wait for statistical analysis to determine that shawcoptering isnt actually humanly possible lol
