i think ubisoft has shown how incompetent they are on several massive scales and the opposite, when someone suspects a player of cheating and they're never publicly banned it could be argued thats exactly what we have now, but imo having a ban list of dozens/hundreds/thousands of alleged cheaters to compare to the alleged cheaters that are not banned has more of a negative effect

lack of common sense these days even if every single active player bought a 20 pack of joker boxes for the new weapon it still wouldn’t be enough money to pay a single dev’s salary the amount of money the community provides orbit is almost worthless at this point in time, no matter how much they might try to “milk” the game there wouldn’t be any profit

it doesnt really matter how kills are rewarded as long as killing opp is the most effective way to complete objectives - people can't attack/defend if they're in the respawn screen its just basic pvp shooter logic

open conflict is probably what you're thinking of, and it had no matchamking at all whoever was readied up would be thrown into missions; 2v2, 4v4, 3v2, 4v1, it didnt matter - in the end if it actually ensured equal numbers of players on each team i feel the districts would have been much better

chaos districts were just 50v50 fc matches except in mission districts

cookypuss got a sweet ff ban despite basically being a high silver :^)

let’s go 100-100, i want to experience 7 different missions taking place in the same area at once bonus points because it would allow all of jericho pop into the same district at once :^)

cheaters don’t care what the community thinks, otherwise they wouldn’t cheat on the first place they just want the attention, people like film retooling 1000 times just so his name can show up on the ingame broadcast

the point is that it doesn’t shame any cheaters, it just adds another way for them to get attention and increases toxicity in general

i wasn’t really talking about how effective those things were, just the fact that orbit is clearly putting in effort to do them a majority of the events were new, something g1 hadn’t bothered to do for years not all of the weapon balancing was reverted han was already merged

off the top of my head: 2 anticheats multiple events riot weapon balance server merges are you really so dumb as to think that orbit releasing 3 new weapons is a cash grab? even if every active player bought a 20 pack of joker boxes for the new glory it probably wouldn’t even pay the salary of a single dev

wallhack is not really cheating because its require all information being on your computer already and thus its more of an aid
