riot premades basically take all the "bad" things about normal mission premades and turn it up to 11 the grouping mechanic for riot is just inherently unfair as there's rarely ever an even number of participants, having premade groups of 4 vs random teams of 3/2/1 is too busted to work if players want to team up with each other after the match starts then i think that's something theyre more than welcome to do, but there shouldnt be built in group mechanics

just mouse over his avatar and click "ignore user" when the pop up appears edit: image in case you cant read

yeah i’m being pedantic now since it’s clear you have no interest in actually using the forums for discussion, might as well entertain myself

it’s actually more ironic that i’m incorrectly using ironic you're just being a hypocrite

it took you 3 hours for this? lots of games have minor toxicity like apb it’s definitely more prevalent in pvp games, likely because other people become “the enemy” and thus slightly dehumanized (armchair psychology), but even in pve games like warframe i’ve had people abandon missions or talk shit because of poor performance/poor build/etc its just the anonymous nature of the internet that people are less inhibited, and for many that just means they suck

as others have said “config” is a pretty broad term, some technically qualify as cheats and some don't atm i think the access configs grant less capable pc users outweighs the (usually) minimal advantages that certain configs can give i find this a very strange mindset tbh having used a fair amount of configs and also having played a lot (including currently) without any configs, i’ve never once died/lost a mission and wondered if it was because my opponent had a config

i’m not sure you understand what yikes means

friendly reminder that BlueB is the same person that once argued that v spamming (rapidly switching shoulder camera angles) while shooting is a broken mechanic that magically increases accuracy make of that what you will

thanks for the quick fixes while the larger issues are being worked on but please dont make unnecessary changes like this the price increase for preset weapons is almost completely negated because its now a 1 time expense, overall preset weapons are actually cheaper now (provided you die at least once) secondary price increase also increases the benefit of being good with the fbw, furthering the gap between skilled/unskilled and veteran/new players

you mean the internet equivalent of standing over someone’s shoulder and telling them to hurry up doesn’t actually make them work faster? unbelievable

oh i forgot it was a 2slot, good call

kind of i view the engine upgrade successfully being released as a barebones patch as the most realistic (and therefore optimal) result, adding additional changes of core mechanics to the already huge engine upgrade just seems like inviting unnecessary problems on patch day - i'd much rather orbit just get the base game working as well as possible before they try to tackle improvements
-
well yes, but actually no im saying there are no measures in place to stop someone from opening apb, getting to the login screen, and firing up a script that runs through different login info, and just letting it run in the background or at least there didnt seem to be any measures the last time i forgot my password and tried to manually guess it
-
considering the apb login screen has no real security measures at all its technically possible to just brute force anyone's account on a slightly related note, 2fa was supposed to disable trade locks at one point has that happened yet or will there be an update on that at any point?

the engine upgrade isn’t going to go big and afaik it was never meant to, aside from some performance stabilization/optimization and minor graphical changes almost all of the actual engine upgrade will be invisible to players even if the initial engine upgrade patch is released perfectly (spoiler: it won’t be), my non-technical estimation is the community will be looking at several weeks to several months of major bug fixes before work even starts on problems from current apb i worry that the engine upgrade has been “hyped” for so long and that so many players are under the impression that a 6/12/24 hour patch will magically fix apb that when the engine upgrade is finally released, even if all goes smoothly (spoiler: it won’t), it will still be seen as a failure because it doesn’t live up to the monumental expectations that years of delays have caused obviously it’s possible orbit realizes all this and are working tirelessly to “beef up” the engine upgrade content but that’s a double edged sword - the longer they spend trying to meet the unrealistic expectations, the higher those expectations get
