the yukon bug resulted in something like a .45s ttk, regardless of how it was balanced a stat like that is too far out of line to be allowed aside from some pretty specific conditions (like asylum, and even there it’s usefulness is questionable), equipping the true ogre is basically giving the opp free kills the c2 was considered op because of its incredibly forgiving damage dropoff, this combined with the accuracy, mobility, and ttk of a marksmanship smg rendered most other 0-50m options irrelevant - it was essentially an hb2 ntec with a faster ttk

he’s gone either way though, i guess we have different mindsets on this reaction to ban numbers would be pretty significant, i remember plenty of threads about how ff was broken when there were no bans for a few hours (to be fair some of the time it was actually broken) and then then on the flip side all the times “17000+ bans” was vomited out everywhere, probably more repeats of that than the bans themselves as i said ffbans toxicity frequently spilled over, it was never limited to the site/discord - the toxicity might have always been under the surface but visible broadcasts certainly focused it, having an echo chamber that amplified everything was just icing on the cake

why would you need to, either they're gone and it doesnt matter or they're still around and therefore obviously not banned we can argue all day over whether there were false bans or not and who was cheating or not, i used alleged because these people were accused of cheating (via ff ban) but obviously there were problems with ff what if orbit turns on broadcasts and there's only 2 bans a month? what if there's 200 bans a month? the community would flip out over either yeah the ffbans site was squeaky clean sure it was a "third party site" but obviously ban broadcasts directly contributed to it, and if you think none of that cesspool spilled over onto the forums or ingame you're an idiot forgive me if i find it hard to believe that any dethreater has enough of a brain to accurately identify closets

i think ubisoft has shown how incompetent they are on several massive scales and the opposite, when someone suspects a player of cheating and they're never publicly banned it could be argued thats exactly what we have now, but imo having a ban list of dozens/hundreds/thousands of alleged cheaters to compare to the alleged cheaters that are not banned has more of a negative effect

lack of common sense these days even if every single active player bought a 20 pack of joker boxes for the new weapon it still wouldn’t be enough money to pay a single dev’s salary the amount of money the community provides orbit is almost worthless at this point in time, no matter how much they might try to “milk” the game there wouldn’t be any profit

it doesnt really matter how kills are rewarded as long as killing opp is the most effective way to complete objectives - people can't attack/defend if they're in the respawn screen its just basic pvp shooter logic
