oh and add horses while you are at it and motorcycles and helicopters and pets and housing and zombie- and racing-district. okay, we got all the stuff piled up here. finally. now i can say "no thanks" to 99% of them, all at once.

this, except they might find a way to just enable them in missions. this would be perfect. i don't even think they should remove much but add something. of course, get rid of the obvious bugs (like glitching items etc) which g1 did too partly okay, except telephones of death, please keep them <: but ye, most other things are annoying, like cars flipping in the middle of the road etc.

is this hentai uhh... then... 9/10 :^)

I'll give this an 6/10 - i was a lot into that metalcore/hardcore/post-hardcore stuff when i was 14-18 - but now I think many of those bands sound very similar - I like the chill intro-bit, although I am not too much a fan of the voice in the clean vocals. i like the screams and the tempo in general. the lyrics are nice but give me the general ~core-vibe. it's not bad to me - but doesn't seem to special. (found a new band recently that brings me back to liking -core but definitely won't be my daily driver https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWurkdQBlAE) anyway, let's see... my favourite -core song in the last few years was this, so i guess i'll go with that for now: egdy - and definitely not everyones cup of tea xd but i enjoyed that. these days i enjoy tyler/odd future generally most of the time xd

[Poll] RTW's artstyle or G1 Engine 3.5 artstyle?
neophobia replied to IAmDisappointSon's topic in General Discussion Archive
You can definitely make out some grass in the video (0:50) I can't really tell in the beginning of the video but it isn't the best quality either. I can see just as many leafs in the video as I can see in yours. As I said, it's not the best quality - but yeah, I don't really see much of a difference, except for some brightness. Maybe contrast is a little bit off too. The new trees definitely look better than the old ones. Also, mind the perspective - but I do agree, the video was made to create some bias towards the new engine - the reasons for this are obvious though and companies... well... do that. It's not unusal. (sorry for the doublepost, but this is really not related to my other one, which was on-topic) -
probably as original as it gets but... uh... seems a bit over the top i guess this would be the most fair but lame idea. maybe give crims other models or smth - like more makeshift etc. (i guess they could just say "o ye that's stolen stuff from enfs" but ye.) i guess if they just spiced it up a bit by replacing handcuffs with a good 3 punches of those knuckledusters (similar to mugging) and the cops patching the other one up or smth to replace the removal of handcuffs...

To matt regarding intigrating BattleEye
neophobia replied to Ebola-Chan's topic in General Discussion Archive
destiny 2 has proven that they can make it basically impossible (except for the stuff they implemented themselves... (aim assist when using controller (emulation too))) but that came at the cost of overlays like discord, overwolf etc. i'd take that - but I guess it's not too great on a Steam game. -

also not to mention that they are practically useless if it comes down to it -
we have the same threat system running in the background but without announcements + grouped symbols (as colors) as far as i know i guess they didn't want to enforce egomaniacs as much anymore it did lead to some fun things ingame but probably just led to more toxicity than... well... fun. which was probably what the game was intended for. f2ps are probably also meant to appeal to more casual players since they are in higher numbers - and having people around who are just acting competetive might not be a too favourable thing to them. personally, when just wanting to enjoy the game, hidden threats in open conflict were my way to go. i do like playing csgo, dota and ow rankeds etc but that just doesnt feel right with apb. clan rankings might be nice, since... i don't know, apb feels more like community kinda thing (...despite /d being as hostile as ever 90% of the time) but i don't see much room for narcism and egoboosting here. oh yeah, and the abuse.

ARMAs and making up the difference (with poll)
neophobia replied to Unclean's topic in General Discussion Archive
They invested to keep our game alive and now we make demands? I didn't put much thought into voting but... There you go: I don't mind. I spent my money and had fun with it. It's a bit bitter if I see that it's gonna be cheaper - but I got to enjoy it for a longer time in return. This is like the same thing as buying an AAA game on release vs. when it's $5 on Humbe Bundle. It always happens eventually but I got to enjoy it longer. And that's fine. The company does milk it that way to some degree - but if it's good game... Who cares. Hopefully they will put it toward a new game. That being said: I'll gladly start spending money when prices are lower. I have like 70? acc bound perm weapons/10? legendaries and basically all that is left are reskins or some special things like some weapon with a silencer. But: I'd love to have *small* something exclusive - it shouldn't be very special or big/important (probs not a title tho xd), like just an accessory or something. Or like one special reskin of a weapon/skin - doesn't have to be good/super new. (think of something fun like a STAR reskin 0-slot.) I would totally understand why they wouldn't want to invest time/money into this (for now). Or like some bonus credits (think like 5% of what one spent) And I don't like the concept of some of the current loyalty rewards: the reskins are cool and nice and a good idea, but think of the M1922/AMG 3-slot that are unobtainable otherwise - those are not just reskins. Or the friend/ignore list extender. It's not like that costs anyone lots of storage. (Or does it? Correction if needed pls) But ye: Something, like a nod of the head. Like... probably it wouldn't be for APB anymore if noone spend a thing. Would be nice. Although not necessary anyway. However... a refund/refund of the difference? No. That doesn't seem fair. They invested to keep our game alive and now we make demands? (Yes, I am aware I asked for something too... I'm a hypocrite) -
[Poll] RTW's artstyle or G1 Engine 3.5 artstyle?
neophobia replied to IAmDisappointSon's topic in General Discussion Archive
I do really like the looks, especially at 0:32-0:33 but then again - I'd - if we are gonna dream here, I'd love to have APB a bit more dystopian. I mean, this is what this game is about. And there is not a single bit of trash lying around, like criminals run rampant and there's some vigilante cops on the street trying to stop them... and yet again, everywhere is just bright sunshine. The floors are totally clean (vs. think the new Dust 2 - okay, you only see sand on there, but... streets could made dirty by usage of blend textures (probably) We don't even have any sinkholes anywhere, etc. pp. There is only some trash lying around... when you drive over the newspaper stand or letter boxes (or w/e they are called) (I mean, partially we do. Mostly around the bridge area in Financial, but waterfront seems like 99% smooth + business as usual. asylum is doing that better I guess) I know, this sounds utterly ridiculous and it's not gonna happen ever in APBs lifetime but I wish we just had a much more fitting map to the setting. I guess it is partly due to how the game is ages old and technology wasn't there yet back then. Currently it is mostly like GTA, a "normal-ish" city. In GTA there is criminality but not like... to the extent how it is set in APB setting/story/whatever you call it. (I mean, criminality has deep roots there, but I mean it's not set like APB) (Think of and that intro speech of the mayor of San Paro. (the one with "yeah there's your opinion and then there's the truth") -
it was an exception under tiggs and LO said they will keep it that way. (in the current state) so ye
-
it was released q1 2014, just like announced

While I agree, none of those "P2W game lists" etc. have ever mentioned that. They always only mentioned premium is there and that it costs a lot (10 per month is a lot - but it in case of APB it isn'T even necessary! (well apart from cooldowns to some degree))... (And maybe how expensive a perm weapon outside of sales at max is) And people who complain about p2w in Steam reviews are always referring to weapons (that partly were actually broken 4+ years ago) as well as people having more slots on weapons (which can be used for the same mods you on preset weapons and also feature quite some downsides) Aaaand that you gotta lease weapons and thus having multiple loadout options (read: 2-3 more primaries and like 1-2 more secondaries (each for the price of like 5 missions)) "is only possible with permanent weapon unless you do some major grind (yes, the 5 missions) or pay real money" - and that, if you pause for 2 weeks you are stuck with the starting weapons again. (To be fair, weapons with slots and the high rank presets are quite expensive ingame... But you only need like a N-TEC Kasatka v2 in most situations) Sorry, I don't have proper sources for those ridiculous statements right now but this is what I recall and like 1:0,8 what actual people said. But yes: It would remove like the last bit of P2W from the game - but the stigma most likely will stay unless LO does some massive promo work. And even then...

Those are definitely low setting fences. Try changing qualities again - try Advanced Launcher otherwise. Your other textures are on lower quality as well.

I wonder what this'll be about

Tember's legendary guide of legendary guns!
neophobia replied to TheHidden-Tember's topic in Tips & Strategy
Not tooooo different, no. The mod is quite cool though. However, if I could decide between this version or one with more slots, I'd probably go for more slots. 1 slot really is quite... limited. And IR3 might be good too, which you can't use on it cause it already has a red mod. -
nvm, added to op

Over here (In Germany) you can have beer once you turn 16. :^) So colour me unimpressed xd -
http://steamcharts.com/app/113400 The peaks were over 1k every month since this game has been in existance, so... no. (and that doesn't include non-steam players) And right now - over the past 30 days APB regained the average we had "exactly" 6 months ago - but yes, it is a peak, I guess.

Just a heads up, try to stick to OP <: -
Yes, there is no button available for Steam payments usually, unless you are using the ingame Steam browser. This has almost always been the case. But you can always access https://checkout.gamersfirst.com/credits/amounts/Steam/DE - BUT you can only actually pay with Steam if your Steam and your G1 account are linked. You can do that in the normal browser too, just be logged into Steam and Gamersfirst (- with the linked accounts!) and use the URL I put above. You might wanna change your countrycode if it doesn't do so automatically though. (You do need to provide one though.) This also works when you are in any other game that uses Steam, so you'd only need to log into G1 (with the linked account).
