At the risk of this becoming a whole thing, I wanted to chime in again People who know me know that I was a big champion of the "no such thing as bans for ban evasion / false bans are EXTREMELY rare / GMs, Tiggs, and G1 didnt just ban people for no reason" cause. Then Matt Scott told us all how wrong I was. We are all getting a fresh start with LO. Instead of dwelling in the past, maybe its time to look to the future. Btw, thanks to Flaws for his comment earlier, really snapped me out of my old thinking.

iirc when Han was moved to Japan we were told it was because Japan was closer to the majority of Han players and as far as the stable ping during DDoS, wasnt there some thing about mitigation making things worse the closer you were to the server and better the further?

A: This is definitely one of those systems that fall under the “Critical Mechanics” segment earlier. The threat system has to be altered at a minimum, or if necessary, scrapped and started over. There’s just a fundamental flaw at tracking your progress over such a short timeframe. To be able to bring your threat down quickly should not happen, and should take much much longer. We see this as an exploit in some ways, if it is an exploit it should be dealt with. If there’s an exploit then it should be on us to fix it. Shame on us for leaving the exploit in for so long, that it has a name and people can look it up.

I guess the good news is Matt said that the current threat system needs to be reworked and possibly scapped altogether. Should be fun!

Oh yeah the ALIG absolutely DESTROYS vehicles. Just a beast of a gun. As a regular car-play OCA user, I respect and fear the ALIG.

I think maybe it just takes time to unban players, and with 17,000+ accounts to go through, they probably figured they better get started. And afaik, these players arent being notified they are unbanned.

I never run car surfer, and I hate when I have teammates who do. (personal preference) For runners and car surfing ALIG / OSMAW / Volcano users. I recommend the ISSR-B, which has iirc 90m (maybe 83m cuz of silencer?) range, can be fired out of car windows, does a lot of health damage, as well as a good amount of hard damage. Can get from either ARMAS or the Joker store.
