No, you're wording them in ways to make them appear negative and using hyperbole which puts them out of reality. No, they did not "ruin" anything, they added a new event with new and refreshing gameplay and gave away more prizes than any other event I've seen in a while. What part of that ruined anyone's Halloween? Was the 31st of October actually destroyed for you as a holiday thanks to direct actions taken by LO? Is Halloween now seen as some sort of dark mark on history thanks to a single event in a tiny MMORPG? That statement is so far out of the bounds of reality They're not happening in the way you're describing them. They did not brake IR, they changed it. If you followed the posts and acknowledged other points of view, you'd see their reasons as to why IR LO thought IR needed the change, their thoughts before during and after the process. And despite that, they reverted the changes anyway, which shows that they actually care about player feedback, turning this into a negative strike against LO just doesn't make sense. You started it by attacking anyone with a pov opposing yours, which shows you were just here to get an echo chamber of anti-LO views.

LO gives out free stuff to players - is accused of being greedy. That's some fine logic there.
-
You're treating your point of view as facts in portraying LO's efforts in a negative light and trying to bend ours to see it fit your pov or simply desire some sort of anti-LO echo chamber. Presenting the reality of the situation is not White Knighting for LO.

Because your distaste is not grounded in reality.

Upcoming changes in tonight's patch

YAASSS tbh I'd rather the event simply go on for 2-3 months to let us weekend warriors catch up, but this is a much easier method of getting them tasty rewards. -
Nobody gonna talk about City Hall spawn? Alright...
KnifuWaifu replied to Mitne's topic in General Discussion Archive
It's really naked up there and what places do have good cover aren't that combat effective, unless you're into blindly launching grenades in all directions. I feel like the rooftop position only really gives an advantage to those not expecting it. Gazebo spawn is the shit. It's barrel placement is practically in the Final Area and you can cover so many other directions hiding in the garden than risking yourself out in the park itself. I'd rather the Gazebo spawn than the City Hall, everyone goes for the CH, so much easier to just stick a barrel on the other side where no one is looking. -
Yes. APB needs more Geneva Convention violations, we've already done chemical weapons, no point stopping now.

Bringing back the old main menu theme - Yay or Nay?

oh my g1, this works! the time saving! that is awesome, thanks! -
Yes, I'm the bad one for not wanting my ears raped. It's my fault for dressing them so sexily.

Bringing back the old main menu theme - Yay or Nay?
KnifuWaifu replied to Lokislav's topic in General Discussion Archive
Nostalgia is great, but I really want it back for the reduced loading time. Like sure someone put in a lot of effort into those static shots and having your character cut and pasted into one of 4 scenes is nice, but after the 1001th time I just want to skip past it all to get into the game. -
2018 Halloween Event New Rewards
KnifuWaifu replied to Vellaura's topic in General Discussion Archive
Just wondering why you were not happy with the Butcher skin returning? Yes! That would be awesome and totally fit in with the infection theme for the new event. -
Best idea. For a few years APB has had a Halloween based weapon skin that glows in the dark. Previous years we had Bats (blue), Ghosts (pink), and Pumpkins (orange). I know you've got the butcher skin, but that's not really on theme with the Halloween style. So I wanted to suggest that make a new skin this year (or next year since it's like 9 days away) just to keep with the "tradition". My suggestion is Skeletons and make it glow green, but I'll leave that creativity to the LO Imagineers.

2018 Halloween Event New Rewards
KnifuWaifu replied to Vellaura's topic in General Discussion Archive
Not happy cause it's a bad skin or not happy cause your got yours doing some crazy hard thing back in 1998? Because I disagree with one of those reasons and how dare you potentially have that opinion! Although Halloween does need a new "Halloween" skin, we've got Bats, Ghosts, and Pumpkins, how about spooky skeletons? Make it glow green! -
Best solution here. Give them the genderbender (for a nice G1C fee) but remove anything that makes it "hard" heck don't even save facial/hair customisations, give them a default bod and they can go to the Character Editor and fix that themselves. Basically delete the old character and make a new one with same rank. But knowing APB, the genger swap option could have at least 25 pop ups and a statutory declaration that must be signed stating "YOUR CLOTHES WILL BE DELETED IF YOU DO THIS" and we'll still have a deluge of posts popping up from enraged players who spent "millions of G1C" on a character only to lose it all cause they wanted to turn their innie into an outie. For all the progressiveness of RTW they forgot this crucial step and now LO is here picking up the pieces.

indeed. But as an Enforcer I got to go for the driver door any chance to flash that badge. So worth the extra seconds.

This isn't that hard and a good way to get into the habit of thinking of where to park your car rather than just ramming it into the objective. That is a way of entering a vehicle that I am not familiar with and assume no one else does it this way either good for you for not including an obviously nonsensical means of vehicle entering etiquette, nothing else to see here and no need to investigate it ever. And then there's my bronze server buddies are like;

A (not so) serious problem with gas stations
KnifuWaifu replied to IROCkiller's topic in General Discussion Archive
I wonder who actually made that shop front? Like what was their process? Did they go to shop front college? Do a thesis on shop fronts? Measure out the spacing between posters? Was there a conscious decision to make the "guns" posters lined up but have the "peppers" and "apples" posters unaligned? And wtf is Effigy? -

Install the game last night, nothing has changed
KnifuWaifu replied to TooStrong's topic in General Discussion Archive
That /s needs to be bigger. OP hasn't supported the game for 2 years, comes back and lists a bunch of demands coupled with mild insults to the work both G1 and LO have done in that period. In that same period APB lived on without OP's support and will continue to live on with or without it. OP is a bundle of sticks whose opinion and suggestions are about as useful as that white stuff that gathers in the side of one's mouth when they're thirsty. -
No, that's the Detonator - the thing that triggers the detonation. illgot wants the Detonatee - the thing that actually detonates.

This... this made me tear up a bit. I am in awe.

Pretty much. I can imagine a massive amount of the tickets are to the lines to "Wah [username] is a hacker, ban them!" with little to no "evidence" attached, but LO support wanting to do their due diligence has to comb through hours of gameplay code to find the evidence themselves because they can't simply state "BattleEye saw nothing so you're wrong" because apparently LO is using the "demo version" of BE now. And then there is the onslaught of "lost account" tickets, or "help Ive been hacked" tickets, more with even less evidence or proof of account ownership, having to ask questions and getting vague af answers in return, trawling through code to find out IP address and log ins made, where mail was sent to and what time, all needing to put in due diligence to make sure you're not refunding a missing weapon to a scammer or giving away someone else's account. The support operators are humans, this is their job. Can you imagine getting to work and having an endless stream of tickets and coming across tickets like those above that probably require at least 8-10 hours work, not to mention back and forths between you and the ticket owner, all for the 99% chance of the ticket owner just resubmittng it because they didn't get the answer they wanted? Or better yet resubmitting already active tickets because they didn't get a near-instant reply. idk about you, but I'd say fuck that and go for the easy tickets, bulk out my stats with responses that will get me somewhere and keep ignore the pos tickets that no doubt OP has submitted.
