  1. The absolute state of OP, jesus christ lmfao.
  2. Without the slavs this game would be dead tbh, I mean it already is but at least they're spending money on name changes
  3. Going to be weird having 4 max rank enforcers with the same name.
  4. Make threat hidden and de-segregate districts, the population is way too low to segregate threat let alone have four separate threat tiers but we all know nothing like that will ever happen and the game will continue to bleed population lmao.
  5. Can only imagine the kind of hell that is APB on a console, lol.
  6. A game mode 0 (zero) people asked for is dead, wow, what a shocker lmao
  7. Desegregating threat would go further for both servers in regards to opening up the few viable districts still available on this 400 pop game, but we all know it will be another year at least before they make any movement towards fixing threat despite it being one of the biggest issues with the game. There is 0 (zero) reason to have segregated districts on NA for example when there is barely enough people for one district, just let the remaining population play with each other. At least the dethreaters will get stomped by regular players again instead of them wiping out the rare new player to the game which causes further population drop.
  8. LO doesn't have the ability to prove without a doubt that they gateway minors from accessing their games and their marketplace, it isn't like a casino where you can ID card someone at the door. If this bill passes it would probably force LO to alter their business model to stay within the standards of the law as would many other companies using RNG lootboxes as a source of revenue.
  9. The fact that the current regime knows how to operate a twitter page proves it isn't Tiggs
  10. It honestly blows my mind how this company hasn't gotten rid of threat segregation on a 400 pop game
  11. What's with people from the third world being obsessed with this mysterious boogeyman known as the "macro"?
  12. IMO it's not really worth playing as someone who usually plays on NA. Weapon balance is still a mess, threat still hasn't been removed so people are segregated into two districts forcing you to play one map depending on how people feel that day, the game is still horribly optimized for newer computers, car game play meta can get exhausting to deal with, and the lack of a player pool means you're either slamming new players off the game or getting farmed by 40,000 hour cyborgs which makes player retention even more difficult to maintain. On the plus side the new owners seem vastly more competent the previous administration, albeit inexperienced with shooters. You have to give them credit for taking on the challenge that is trying to keep this ship floating despite the glaring holes in it. They've added an anti-cheat that so far (to me) seems effective as I've not played a single cheater the few times I've hopped on these past few months, but that is just anecdotal experience. I am waiting for the engine update like many other people here I am assuming before deciding that maybe it's time to shelve APB for good. For many, the engine update is make or break for their wallets. tl;dr don't play until engine update
  13. imagine thinking changing gun balance would alter whether someone is botting or not lol
  14. After all these years I genuinely can't tell if OP is one massive shitposter or not
  15. Delete car spawners and car det and gameplay will vastly be improved
  16. Rather than crucify LO for trying something new I'm willing to give it a shot assuming it comes out with the Engine Update, why not? The game has been the same two maps for years now and barely anybody plays this game, something fresh shouldn't hurt, even if most people only play it for a week or two. Change isn't always bad.
  17. Are there tracers in the new build by any chance?
  18. FFbans.org was one of the worst things this community has ever spawned in terms of how we interacted with each other and the paranoia it created. Shoutout to all my dogs who never ended up on it tho!
  19. How are you so sure they're even cheating, maybe your reports did actually work but the person was judged to be playing fairly? We might be entering a new phase of hackuzations where people need to realize not everyone is hacking anymore.
  20. While I agree that more bodies being thrown at testing is a good idea, especially with some kind of PTR functionality that is maintained and updated, I also know this is a tiny company with an equally tiny player base which means they need to look hard for competent testers. SPCT strikes me as some sort of volunteer QA team that works with the one or two actual paid QA members of Little Orbit. This provides the company with (hopefully) active testers who are willing to put in the technical research behind changes made in the game and evaluating them as objectively as possible, plus they're volunteers who are doing it because they love the game, not for money. Also, as flattering it is to be called a "known player", that doesn't automatically mean I provide the necessary prerequisites of being an effective tester that Little Orbit needs right now. It takes a lot of time and usually pretty boring research into changes once they go live into a patch, something very few people will do even in the short term, especially as a volunteer. People should be happy the SPCT is back, even if some of the people may be more of 3D boob crafters than actual APB frag gods. You don't have to be a pro to test a mechanic or change to the game, only time and a willingness to come back for more work. They will provide this game with a lot of eyes on behalf of the community when it comes to future changes to the game as well. I would rather have that than no team at all. Old Matt Scooter should probably make an official discord if he is going to use that platform to meet with the community. Just my two cents about the whole thing from someone who doesn't know anything.
  21. What? Not really sure how that is related to what you were arguing but clearly you've given up.
  22. Adding barriers to login, or a paywall on a F2P game on Steam usually won't pan out very well, especially on a game as deserted as APB. At this point of it's life, the best thing to do (in my opinion) would be to continue with what they're doing. More staff presence and communication in-game, and a better tuned anti-cheat is arguably their best path to success in combating cheaters. Besides, cheaters aren't nearly as much of a problem these days, or from what I saw when I was active during the summer, as they were back in say 2012-2014 when we had essentially zero anti-cheat. I think I played maybe one or two cheaters in my anecdotal experience of roughly a month of playing during July/August. Both we're on the EU server, unsurprisingly, kek.
  23. Once again, BattlEye is THE anti-cheat this game uses and would be the method used to implement your "suggestion" of HWID. Why are you discussing something you have no technical knowledge of and using/falling back on repeating the fallacy "argument", it's really harsh man lmao. For the third time, HWID spoofing takes <10 seconds to do, it isn't an effective method of combating cheating and never will be. Fine tuning BattlEye and having a larger in-game presence from Game Masters will have a much larger impact than something like HWID bans (which once again, don't work). Most modern cheats even come with a HWID spoofer on their launcher which makes HWID entirely irrelevant. What is next, you're going to recommend LO require photo ID to login?
