The dime a dozen "repeal weapon balance" thread. LO knows, they've admitted to it, continuing to request this isn't going to be productive. Suggest actual changes instead.

I don't even bother allowing vivox to run on my pc. end task as soon as the game starts, better to waste that on more frames than useless voip that doesn't work. If something else that can compete APB's discord, or discord for group sessions, please lmk.

Basically like paid mods, but, the content isn't like a mod... and may or may not be paid...? Plus it could give a lot more inspiration to new content that could be created. ( I really wanna have a miata in apb... like really really)

Personally, since CA3 takes too long overall, (almost 18 seconds as posted by a previous user) I use CA2 on all my characters (unless I'm running with the HVR, I'll use Fragile at that point) CA3 is overrated, and really isn't significantly better than the other mods. I've seen plenty of people run around with Kevlar 3, and a machine gun, rendering my 2 shot kill (if I even land the 2nd shot) almost useless. However, APB is a very fast paced game, and players who can't move fast tend to get a disadvantage.

I have another semester of University start, soooo.... I haven't had much free time to play. While plenty of guns were needed balancing in general, (and I would have prefered that to take a back seat for the engine upgrade) they experimented, and messed up. Edison didn't fail 1000's of times creating a lightbulb, he found out, 1000's of ways to not make a lightbulb. They've been doing a good job impvoing the game so far. give them time to save what was a game sinking. the community is clearly keeping its old behavior as well, people instantly labeling the company hot garbage as soon as theres a single patch that they dont like Human nature doesn't change.

Believe it or not, the vehicles in the game, specifically the Vegas, max out at 23 m/s which is equal to 51.## mph, or 82.8 km/h (not even highway speeds) Since the Vegas is the fastest in the game (without nos, just stock cars). Considering how much of the game is based on the vehicles, and missions sometimes requiring driving across the map, the mechanics must be certainly engineered in that spaghetti code. I agree, some adjustments need to be made to promote more diversity with the vehicles, the meta Vegas's and Pioneers are certainly boring. NPC's are pretty simple, they do move if given enough time to observe them, they'll go around in the next lane over. However, if the civ vehicle gets hit, if it moves (what it thinks is on it's original course, it'd be just off, if even a little, but enough to skew it off the road. etc. This should be able to be worked on after the engine update.

Kids who run with objectives

im not sure theres really a "fix" for this since im pretty sure its the result of the high torque the vegas has, changing that would change how the car itself drives - i assume you are in fact correct. The high torque, and power output, in addition to the 4x4 drivetrain all lead to the acceleration difference between it and the standard G20 -
Wow, got off work, lot to unpack here. Well, off we go! It’s pretty funny how on their website they only specialize on kids games and i have never seen them do shooter games in their past history before so yes i do expect them to have a lot of money and to be well prepared like any other good company. If you read the first blog post, you'll see why they want to get away from making licensed games. Why is it that they were in one part of the game industry, and now being bashed for making a change? In fact, I'm glad that they bought G1, and the rights to APB. MattScott has apparently known about the game for a long time, as by his opinions, and statements about it. Yes, they likely have a lot of money, so what? They're a company based in California, they need to pay lease, or rent, servers, employees, etc. They need income, and on how much APB previously sold for, I'm sure that they spent a lot acquiring the rights to it. They have to make money before they can spend more money. That’s not what i mean if anything little orbit should of rehired the people who balanced weapons in realtime worlds. I'm not so sure you've read much of anything regarding the posts and threads MattScott has openly stated. They are rehiring some of the old staff, both from old G1, and RTW. the way you feel about the game does not reflect reality or factual evidence Pretty much. More than enough people, as well as experienced and "professional" players (if we even have any pro's) have stated the issues with plenty of guns, many shotguns included. Right now, they're testing changes with different guns, taking input, and retesting changes. You act as if the current testing results are going straight into the game in a day, and that's not how any of this works. Mostly this. (and pineapple on pizza is ****ing amazing) Only original poster can request a lock, and GM's can only lock if the thread is no longer productive, or breaks ToS/CoC
-
Since Little Orbit has taken over, I'm sure as long as you're not breaking the ToS, by the rhetoric Matt has used, I'm sure they'd likely give you a warning or temporary ban, especially with how lenient they've been with forum and in game users, not considering cursing in the game at another person harassment, unless it's obvious it's harassment. Any sane, and/or intelligent person in our community likely won't be banned. Just act like you usually do. (maybe with a curse-filter on forums tho)

oh, cool, finally can actually do things now on my symbol creation.

Kids who run with objectives
magik replied to SurvivalDistrict's topic in General Discussion Archive
I feel like maybe each mission type needs a few fine changes. Same, I don't like running either, usually just relocating for a different hold. But that doesn't stop people from running when they take ti from me. And personally, I don't care about running if it's a team match, as the game is designed around it. It's when I have a 1 v 1 mission that I get pissed off. -
Kids who run with objectives

While I do think holding an objective in a vehicle is a great idea, and a great strategy, imo, while "running" isn't bad, it's partly due to matchmaking. Running in a broken 1v1 match is annoying, ruins the experience, and downright tiresome. Pretty much what Fortune says. My only issue with running is when your game is a 1v1. Fix that, and you fix running. APB is a team game, there should be no reason to have a one on one match. No, never. If you put an objective in a personal vehicle, your opponent cannot access them. (like you lock it in your car's trunk) your opponents don't have the key, why should they be able to have access? Plus, it's a smart way to prolong them taking the objectives if you die. That is a bit bothersome. No. It's actually better in larger matches, because you can (and should) coordinate with your team. What if your team had some people in front, and some in back of the runners, then you use Aligs to destroy the vehicle with the running obj. I feel that part of the reason that running is still viable, is that when you're following another vehicle, some running vehicles get a less significant advantage over others. imo, make each car drive as slow as a Calibria, at least then they can defend, but still drive away. -
yeah, these get quite annoying. I've seen less yesterday, but still. Last night I had some aggravating missions, where while the opposition was pretty much squashing me or my team, due to my silver/gold status, I mostly put it off as me not playing good for the night. However, I can easily see how some people would think their opponents are hacking. I'd like to upload my 2/3 hours of gameplay, but I don't want to sit through and edit, nor show how much I suck at 1v1 missions. ( I got 3 of them and got really salty with the last one, when my opposition was teasing me, alongside running with final objective, can't show my bad side )

Ah, didn't know that. Censorship was a bad idea ;-; thanks for the info

I reread Matt's post, and found a few things that probably contributed to the problem... imo, Lixil should be allowed to play/stream on a non-gm account, as all the community gm's are required. (If anyone doesn't know, community gm's can't ban, and can't play missions on a GM account.) However, she should still be allowed to play, so long as it's not an Little Orbit account. Lixil getting paired with the questionable team, well, that can be remedied by having either another play session with other members of Little Orbit, or her friends. (So long as no one is getting special treatment.) Kinda reminds me of those Undercover Boss shows.

I think it should be a welcome addition. What's wrong with players investigating others, and keeping cheaters/hackers from getting far? /report did nothing, agreed, but this is a chance to make a better system, and a much more effective system. If "some people just want to watch the world burn", there are ways to prevent innocent players from being banned. Require players to provide descriptive and effective judgments when they submit an "overwatch" case. Only allow players who accurately tag cheaters/hackers. Have a group from support finalize the case, and ensure no foul play is being done by an "overwatcher". Track the accuracy of the reports submitted by players, and track the accuracy of the reports and cases submitted by the overwatchers. The system will eventually check itself.
