  1. As a few of us Linux users have discovered in the 1.30 Open Beta thread, since APB’s 1.30 update it has been possible to successfully run APB:Reloaded on the Linux operating system, thanks to Little Orbit cleaning up old code that was causing crashes with previous versions. This also applies to the Steam Deck. This is accomplished with a tool like Valve’s Proton that, to put it simply, translates APB’s DirectX9 API calls to Vulkan and Windows system calls to Linux equivalents in real time. The following guide shows how to accomplish this with a few minor tweaks, all within the Steam client. UPDATE 2023/12/17: Added some useful tweaks at the end of the guide to reduce stutters and improve visuals with FSR. How to play APB 1.30+ on Linux This guide was tested on CachyOS Linux with KDE 5.27 on both Wayland and X11, and an AMD RX 6800 GPU. I have also tested it on a Steam Deck running latest stable SteamOS. It is necessary to do the following steps in desktop mode, however once you successfully run the game it will also work in gaming mode. For NVIDIA users: Make sure you are using proprietary drivers from this point on. If you need to install them, use your distribution's install method and do not use drivers downloaded from Nvidia's site. Step 1: Getting Proton-GE To proceed with the guide, Steam must be installed and started for the first time. Proton-GE is a community version of Valve's Proton containing up to date code and a collection of game specific fixes. Proton-GE 8-5 supports APB Reloaded (including Steam login) without any additional tweaks. To install Proton-GE, the most user friendly option is to download ProtonUp-Qt from your distribution's Flatpak based app store, such as Discover in the Steam Deck's desktop mode. Then, from this tool, select "Add new version" and choose Proton-GE 8-5 or newer. This is not specific to APB so there are many guides on the Internet that help accomplish this task, such as this one. Personally, my preferred way to install Proton-GE is to download the latest release and untar the folder within to $HOME/.local/share/Steam/compatibilitytools.d/ ($HOME being a placeholder for your home directory). After Proton-GE is installed, Steam should be restarted to recognize it as a compatibility tool. Step 2: Setting up Steam Open Steam, log into your account, and open Steam's settings from the Steam menu. Navigate to "Compatibility" and check "Enable Steam Play for all other titles." Go to your Library and make sure "Tools" or "All" is shown in the dropdown. Use the search box to find the "Proton Easy AntiCheat Runtime". Install it if not already present. Step 3: Setting up APB Install APB Reloaded from Steam's store as usual. Be sure to not run the game yet until everything is set up. Once APB is installed, right click it from your library view and select "Properties" in the menu. Go to the "Compatibility" tab and select GE-Proton 8-5 or a later version of Proton GE, as shown below. If it does not show, verify that it is installed correctly and that you restarted Steam after installing it. You can close the window or press Escape and your settings will be saved. The game is ready to be played at this point. Optional tweaks and improvements Using configs If you wish to use configs such as removing the login scene, you can create a directory called "apbconfig" in your home folder and inside it, paste your configs as you would in the game's install directory. For example, if you are using a graphics config, the path "/home/(your user)/apbconfig/APBGame/Config/APBCompat.ini" would be a valid path. You can also insert command line arguments at the end such as -nomovies in the example. Then, paste the following script in the game's "Launch options". Do not use the APB Launcher's start button to start the game when using configs, start by closing the launcher instead. %command%; yes | cp -rf "$HOME/apbconfig"/* "$STEAM_COMPAT_INSTALL_PATH"/; $HOME/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/reaper SteamLaunch AppId=113400 -- $HOME/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-launch-wrapper -- $HOME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamLinuxRuntime_sniper/_v2-entry-point --verb=waitforexitandrun -- "${STEAM_COMPAT_TOOL_PATHS%%:*}"/proton waitforexitandrun "$STEAM_COMPAT_INSTALL_PATH/Binaries/APB.exe" -nomovies -nosteam All in all, as a now single-boot Linux user I consider the release of 1.30 a great step forward to APB since compatibility went from zero to essentially fully playable just by cleaning up APB’s aged codebase. Hopefully, this compatibility will be preserved or even improved upon in future releases of this game. Also, looking forward to hear from more players who attempted this or a similar method to run APB on their Linux machine! Reducing DXVK stutters DXVK (the translation layer used to "translate" APB from DX9 to Vulkan in real time) has configurable options that are well suited to APB's odd way of managing memory. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RTNG4MVHirz6fbFBusurOGDJyD_pqm2M/view?usp=sharing By copying this dxvk.conf file into your Binaries folder within the game's install directory you can enable these and a few other performance enhancing options that don't have an impact on graphics or stabilty according to my tests. This is especially true for nVidia users. The file has to be in the same folder as the APB.exe binary! For those already versed in editing dxvk.conf the options in question are: d3d9.apitraceMode = True d3d9.cachedDynamicBuffers = True Note that the ApiTrace option isn't used for api tracing in this case, we are just interested in cached and coherent buffers. You can test the impact of these options by shooting a vehicle with a fast-firing weapon. This should cause noticeable frametime spikes without the config which are much less noticeable after applying it. Using AMD FSR As with many recent games, we can use AMD FSR to upscale the game from a lower internal resolution, resulting in much higher visual quality than regular display or GPU scaling. This is especially useful if you need a larger UI and don't want to deal with the visual corruption that's caused by the "User interface size" in the game's options. This requires a recent Proton-GE version (I recommend Proton-GE 8-25, the latest as of this edit) Add the following variable to your launch options (either alone or before whatever options you were already using, don't forget the space after though): WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 Then start the game, select "Fullscreen" in the graphics options and choose the internal resolution you prefer. FSR will add some oddball resolutions that function especially well with this scaling method. If it is done properly the UI text should be rendering with native-like quality. This works for both AMD and nVidia GPUs.
  2. Like I said in the previous test thread. I can run this test with a single workstation. Run as many VMs as you want. Run them all in linux. We're not testing cross district matchmaking, we're not testing game performance, so no need to test with real players. Also, most people's test accounts are going to have the wrong threat applied. No one is going to play enough missions on the test server to equalize their threat. Even then, there's no way for players to compare the existing system to this new one, because we can't see the real threat value, only a solid color. And your forum editor is still broken. It decided to randomly post my comment while I was in the middle of typing. Maybe I accidentally hit Enter, but I doubt it since this keyboard requires 70g of force to press a key. Game runs like crap since the 11/8/23 EAC update. I have a W3680. Friends have between 7th Gen i7 to 13th gen i5. All of us experience the same low fps during missions. It's not nessessarily just low fps, it's choppy. 80fps feels like 30 or lower when the fps drop happens. For my PC, I don't know if it's Epic Online Services or Windows 10 causing the issue, but for my friends they had 10 prior and didn't have as many fps drops before the update. I couldn't stay connected to EU Financial but EU Waterfrontran fine. One friend kept DC'ing on US servers, depsite having 10ms to US West and less than 90ms to US East. I've had multiple people complain about hitreg in /w and on discord. The one guy was screaming about his shots not hitting me, then all of a sudden I see him peak the corner and min ttk me, as if the server was running seconds behind.
  3. Its called working the croud, say something nice at the start, to get everybody on your side, then hit them with facts. He is also not wrong though and i understand his frustration. We had a nice few days after the last bannings. All those re-rolls, i have seen go from level 1 to level 255 in the last few weeks. They are not hiding the fact that they are cheating. They are absolutly milking the servers. They are not closets, they are full on cheating. I am in a clan with 3 cheaters that i know of. There are multiple streamers who have been cheating the last 6 months. You can literally see them cheating on youtube / twitch. I have teamed with them and dont get a look in because they can see were the enemy are coming and hog all the kills. I have reported at least 20 level 200+ blatant cheaters. That i have teamed with. Right now it pays to be a cheater then to play normally. They seem to be having a lot more fun. They are leveling up quickly and in the space of a few weeks, have all the best weapons. If they get banned, they just start again on pre-made accounts that they have already transferred weapons to. Then start again, you get another year.
  4. They ask me for steam. I didn't play through it. They say some kind of sentence. Which may be condemned, I have already given. They say it's inaccurate. And I don't want this. How do I find out which Steam I linked to my account? Merged. Hello. Can you help me with the unban? There is no way I can provide my Steam support. I didn't play through Steam, but they claim that I played through Steam. On Steam, where I have a game history, they do not accept APB. And other accounts that might have this game are also not accepted. And they don’t tell you the profile to which the account is linked. I gave them a lot of evidence that this is my account. But they need steam.
  5. no much point seeing how all my accounts are trade locked forever. that and the fact of what is going on right now. I seriously question what happened to the staff at LO. did californa have an earth quake and suck them all into the relem of the molemen?
  6. Just do what I did. Step 1: Make people ragequit Step 2: Log on the next day and get 10008'd Step 3: Email support about it Step 4: Acknowledge that support will not help you Step 5: Perform a chargeback on every possible transactions you can Step 6: Remain banned Step 7: Wait 8 years for the game to be picked up by a new publisher/dev studio Step 8: Enjoy your account with all the items you had previously purchased
  7. manual bans(they might have to 'clear' the ban list i.e. hit the ban button for accounts that reach the flag threshold) for cheating don't really happen. I'm sure LO might look at evidence(video/clips) if someone has already been flagged by the anti-cheat but for the most part both LO and G1 don't/didn't resort to manual bans for cheating unless your name was known.
  8. Did you get banned and had to create another account? I won't say there aren't cheaters. There's some on Twitch that LO intentionally ignore, like the one who used to be named after a zombie survival game, or the one who's in game name is a spin off of Mr Beast's video intro. But, big but, the way threat is calculated causes players with a massive skill gap to be matched together frequently. Low to high gold is like brand new player to expert veteran. Mid bronze to mid silver is completely random. It comes down to what score bonuses the mission applies rather than skill. Green is harder to get than bronze, due to the anti dethreat mechanic that prevents threat from changing if your score is too low. There's also a massive difference in network performance between players, which can make some look like they're cheating. Some have perfect hitreg despite having 300ms living in Australia, while others with less than 20ms get no hitreg because their packets are being dropped somewhere inside LO's network. Generally I can 2 pump shotguns on EU with 90-300ms varying latency, but on US East it takes 3+ shots. On US West I'm better off trying to throw my car at them.
  9. Hey @Leenko I definitely agree with you about the current situation that is going on and I wish to see our LO CEO opinion about this matter this is hilarious that LO doesn't care about those issues until they will get banned by themself on their main accounts (if they even playing the game). APB Reloaded not even listed on EAC official website in case someone want's to appeal their bans, since a few people tried to contact them via mail, they received an reply that shows "you need to contact the game support", the LO support in that case, well, doesn't matter how many proves you'll show them and provide them whatever can be helpful to reverse the ban after the account has been banned, the only reply you'll receive is "the account is not eligible to have the ban reversed" and that's after they ask you questions such as "can you please tell us how much money was spent on the account in question?" to know how much money you have invested into the company. People get's falsely banned when they did nothing and by that our community getting destroyed, if LO bought the game they should understand why G1 sold the game to avoid those actions, such as LadyTiggs actions that she have done as example. Matter of fact, APB Reloaded has EOS version of the Easy Anti Cheat, I highly recommend to take a professional and deeper look into your community reports before you reply with automated/copy & paste messages, do your job best by quality in and less in speed, because by understanding the current situation, you unable to do both. Someone has to give us some official answers because this is going too far, most of us are nice and honest people, don't disrespect people and the community unless they been disrespectful to you. 2010 - 24.09.2023
  10. LOL Listen, I'm sorry you failed to understand the comedic aspect of my post, but this is even funnier. You ARE convinced that I planned on Little Orbit unbanning everyone YEARS later. LMFAO Any lawyer would look at this situation and laugh/tell you to go spend your money elsewhere. Edit: @MACKxBOLAN I know where you are coming from, but you know contracts are constantly challenged for various reasons. Ultimately, my credit card company gave me my money back. because they probably did not receive any response from G1 at the time. I honestly couldn't care less about what happens to this account, but the other d00d doesn't quite understand the concept.
  11. I'm quite intrigued to learn that a "TGM" has been banned by the EAC. Such occurrences are rather rare, and it makes me wonder what might have prompted this action. It's always fascinating to stay in the loop about the ongoings within the gaming community and beyond. its funny that you mention that someone got banned for symbols. i seen a lot of people running around with symbols - making new accounts and streambomming certain inviduals with it. for me im happy they are gone. like you can't say that that is not a good reason enough to ban somebody from the game. even if it is a manual ban. i don't realy care about those toxic behaving people. so all bans that have been occured are all manual ? and added on EAC. so this must be that these accounts have been flagged multiple times and now lo is taking care of every account and checking them. seems fair. must be already reason enough that something is up with these accounts or something fishy is going on. maybe toxic behaviour. i dunno. i can not beleve that all accounts have been just manualy been added this would give me ffbans vibes where all bans were manual. but i don't realy think the bans are unjust. there must be a good reason for all these bans to happen. So all the individuals that are recently banned are considered "healthy" players? while those who continue to play are labeled as "unhealthy" players? I find this perplexing. It's difficult to believe that individuals engaging in toxic behavior, cheating, or using unauthorized programs could be classified as healthy players. you have contacted multiple players. OK ... do you know what they use on there pc? are those guys trustfull? have you seen what they used while they played the game in the beginning of EAC ( as these are manual it can be flagged maybe from when eac was implemented). its not like everyone is going to say oh i have toxic behaviour or i use bad symbols on my car or funny enough ... i cheat and use programs to modify my game. but it seems like everyone goes to the safe bet - VPN. Regarding VPN - The point being - If there's an anti-cheat system in place, using a VPN is not going to disguise the fact you're using any widely known VPN service. Check the game's policies to see what they have to say about VPN services for better info. I'm curious about what LO will have to say on this matter. It's quite possible that the only official communication will come from the support team. It's doubtful that individuals like Matt, Ritual, Sakkabee, or Stitchly will publicly address this issue, and there's a likelihood that the details may not be disclosed to the public.
  12. Taking as valid the point highlighted by Frosi, that good players who play frequently are unfairly accused of being cheaters just because they are good or because they are "in the right place at the right time": We need to think of a way to end this. After all, no one likes to be unfairly accused of being a cheater after spending so many hours of their life dedicating themselves to a game and improving their skills, right? Frosi himself, who admits he is not a cheater, is unfairly accused just for being good and getting into matches with players who are below his level and end up being humiliated for his skill and, as an escape valve, for not assuming that they are not as good as Frosi, they falsely accuse him and many others. We need to think of a way to put an end to this. After all, no one likes to be unfairly accused of being a cheater after spending so many hours of their life dedicating themselves to a game and improving their skills, right? Well, an interesting way to deal with this is to fix the matchmaking system where players who have the same level (Rank) will play against each other. Therefore, bronze plays with Bronze, Silver with Silver and so on. This will mitigate complaints from guys who accuse other players who are better than them of being cheaters. In the end, if you put players on the same level to play together, the accusation of being a cheater will have less value than putting a guy who has just created an account/character to face a guy who has been playing every day since 2011. But let's be honest, a guy who is very good and plays every day doesn't want to play against others at the same level as him. Well, it's easier for Gold to fall into a room full of bronze, wipe the floor with their faces, come out full of rewards and improve their K/D ratio. It is worth remembering that people with this mentality, combined with the constant number of cheaters as mentioned by Y2Venom: It has been causing exactly what Y2Venom himself said: In other words, because these players (I'm not saying this is your case, Frosi) are in a comfort zone, massacring noobs and earning lots of rewards, which is why they have made the game reach the levels it is at today: With high-level players dedicating most of their time to playing (there's nothing wrong with this), cheaters having to resort to various dishonest ways of grinding, and having fewer and fewer new players because all newbies realize that they will either need to stop living their lives to live in function of the game to become good or they will have to use suspicious programs to be able to have a minimum amount of fun. Therefore, speaking for myself, I don't want this great game to have only Cheaters, as said by Y2Venom, nor only with pro-players like Frosi. I'm a casual player, I don't have contidions to dedicate 8-12 hours a day playing to get to the point where I become so good to the point to be falsely accused of being a cheater, nor do I want to be forced to use a hack because the server it only has these two extremes. I understand the points highlighted by everyone, but in the end, a balancing system in the matches, which pits proplayers vs proplayers and noobs vs noobs (which is my case) will solve both things: Make it easier to detect Cheaters: After all, no cheater will stay in Bronze forever. Every cheater will have a completely artificial rank increase, apart from the other signs that can be monitored and have already been mentioned in this thread (Rate of fire with sidearms, hit rate, shooting accuracy, etc.). Make the game a little more friendly and attractive to novice players: Having newbies play against newbies will show noobs that they don't need to worry about facing a guy who is addicted to the game and therefore they will be able to play more calmly and enjoy the game more, thus reducing rage quits and the number of threads on forums claiming that the game is full of cheaters and totally unbalanced. I'm Brazilian, I remember that in 2013-2014 the game was popular here in Brazil, many people played it and there were several videos on YouTube talking about the game. However, currently, when searching for APB on YouTube in Brazil, more than half of the content will be YouTubers saying that it is not worth going back because the game is not friendly or balanced at all. The other part will be players who use cheats to gain an advantage. Despite being a casual player, I want to invest in the game by buying some cosmetics to "beautify" my character, but I feel unmotivated by the fact that I started playing again today and I've already fallen in about 4 matches against gold guys using bazookas and I couldn't fire a single shot while they have a hit rate of over 90%. Life is already too unfair, what's the point in keeping the game unfair? Isn’t the devs’ intention to bring fun and joy to users? I'm sorry for my English and if I extended too much. I end my text with the words of Obi-Wan Kenobi adapted for our scenario: It was said that you would destroy the cheaters, not strengthen them! Bring balance to the game, not leave it in darkness!
  13. The biggest mistake LO ever made was unbanning known cheaters and giving them their main accounts back. I love it when former cheaters come over to the forums to complain about cheaters then get banned themselves. I got nothing against anyone but when the game was active some of these people contributed to the heavy decline in population and people not wanting to give the game a second chance. I can see the DEVS unbanning some of their favourites but at that point I, along with the rest of the population would have lost all hope for the game. PS: Macro is also a form cheating
  14. Well as far as the incident being to far away from report date Im a daily player and I reported the next day when I logged in. I knew something was wrong right off the go because I got the TOS crap and was like hell no someone else logged into my account on a diffenent PC and IP. Then as soon as the intro was done and old character I hadnt played on in years was selected not Misty my daily. I reported imediately. Someone else made a coment about not using the authentication thing. I tried it at one time but was having trouble with constantly waiting on the authentication being bugged and not being able to log in most of the time it would keep saying wrong code even though it wasnt and then lock me out for so long so I disabled it.
  15. Yea it’s strange to see someone who’s been in game for 10 years + not known for cheating ends up banned while few others are still cheating lol classic apb. I use NordVPN to play apb and I believe most players use exitlag to reduce ping + better routing. The concerning part is not the program itself but the IP address that they assign you with and if EAC or LO set to flag these previous banned players IP address it may automatic flagged those accounts who are using it legit Can anyone in LO confirm this is true?
  16. i have created twicth account, i sure follow it, speaked english i have not very good, but i wil like to speak directly with matt since we know game was not working as expected and i wish to help all posible to make this game addictive as it was created. sincerely i think version on "cd" would work very good. It was a game with rewards in 2009. In my opinion problem was insane and not asked to comunity updates than nobody wanted. I just want ask matt if played version cd to compare actual version. i mean this https://www.amazon.es/Pqube-Fallen-Earth-PC-CD/dp/B004CYE4NE thanks in advance!! My questions: any approximate date for the remake of the game? (It is the star question that everyone asks) if the game is finally re-released, will it be this current version (giant) or are you planning to re-release it from an earlier point? Knowing that your Matt, have you experienced this game as a player, what did you think of the game itself? Did you try the previous and classic version of the game, to compare? In my opinion, Matt, I think you like the immersion of the player in the game, there is really nothing like this game on Steam or any other platform in my opinion, the fault in my opinion is the errors that the previous company left you, They never looked for the player in the updates, in fact you can look at the old forum and see their opinions. The game was very complete, addictive and easy to get to until it took the first turn with an update called gore, which the game could barely support, I tell you that there was a rifle from that expansion that did a single hit of 800 of damage (if you had a character build with maximum power among other things), from there they made modifications without stopping and continued expanding with more things that led the game to the disaster that it is now, a simpler, less addictive and less attractive game . Thanks for reading my opinion. Addding: Since it is a special occasion and Matt will read this, my suggestion is this: Since currently the problem of duplicates is not resolved, then put map 1 and perhaps map 2, both are works of art, they have their small pvp areas and it wouldn't really hurt the game in the future if the duplicate problem is not resolved, since the materials are worthless for high levels. In addition, the game with a map or two would only include people in a map and forces them to see each other (you see more people, which attracts more new players, the first impression is very important), in addition, this game is oriented towards manufacturing objects (weapons, clothing, medicine and so on) it would make it more fun for people to sell more in the audition by helping new players until they get the hang of the game, honestly when I played the game for the first time in 2011 I didn't even know how to make objects , I bought everything in audition and sold everything I got with the NPCs until I picked up the crafting thread, which is extremely addictive and fun. The game itself is about taking a mission, going to the point, doing the mission and collecting a reward, that is the basis. Then you realize, over time, that there are countless fun things like crafting, finding objects that fall on special enemies, missions that carry their story since some give new ones, hidden missions on the map and the most more, the pvp (here I talk about the areas on the map and bloodsports (the flag game was the most fun and the only one I played) playing gave special points to buy special equipment for pvp.) In summary, my opinion is that by putting one or two maps and a level cap of 20 or 35 depending on the case of one or two maps, surrounding them with lethal radiation or launching the game as it is on the CD (you will see, Matt, that there are even abilities that change from what there is now to the CD version and they did this in the past because the new thing they added destroyed the game and its playability). All this is a personal opinion, and I have to tell you that I did all the missions in the game, I did all the crafting, I found all the mysterious objects and I did PvP to a large extent, I was always involved in almost all the battles, making PvP active with my friends, who by the way I have met in the game. nothing more to say, thank you very much for reading this bible if you have read it and greetings from someone who really always loves the game and is always willing to help. 17. Hello, I have heard some concerns about potential false bans due to the recent ban wave. These are from people I have known for years and although I can not proof their legitimacy, I am willing to put what little reputation I got left into vouching for their innocence (when it comes to cheating). -- Looking into it, I have found multiple games with alleged hiccups in EAC blocking players. The most recent one being in Black Desert Online, where using VPNs and lag reducing software such as ExitLag would ban you until 2055. However if you did not use ExitLag you could log in as normal after some time. My theory here is that there could have been a false flag in EAC which caused an automatic ban in APB. Yet there seems to be no way of automatically undoing these bans once the false flag has been lifted. There is currently no way of appealing APB's EAC bans with either LO or EAC (from my research). It seems rather strange to me that players without as much as an account warning in 12 years of APB are now facing permanent bans. Before anyone asks, no, I am not banned. I would like to request a statement from Matt and the LO team regarding this matter. It seems a lot of people have been affected.
  18. EAC doesn't care either way cause all the advanced launcher does is modify .ini files, its not a program that's running as you play the game, it serves the same functionality as changing your ingame settings through the regular options, you simply have more control. Not to mention that EAC has the ability to block config edits, they've already shown this by blocking shaders as well as upk edits (upk edits have been used to remove particles entirely) this is manually set up and basically tells you that if they wanted to block .ini edits they can absolutely do so rather than just making it so it flat out bans you for something they themselves said is an approved way of editing your graphic settings. EAC checks for injections into the game client, things such as overlays and patterns such as simulated inputs (Macros/Triggerbots), it doesn't give a crap about whether or not a line in an .ini file says 16 instead of 128. In other words, you are clueless if you think the cause of these bans is due to configs considering if they didn't want configs to be a thing anymore they have all the tools in the world to stop players from using them rather than flat out banning the accounts.
  19. It doesn't matter whether he did it once or multiple times, or if he was temporarily banned for it. If the company explicitly states that such actions are not allowed and considers them a significant offense, you will be terminated. It all boils down to what the company's policy are. Look at the sentence that was written here "Bans that we did not expect and that remove from the game that last healthy part that you had left of it," . This sentence indicates to me that LO - banned all the people that were considered the last healthy part of the community. Let me get this straight 1. You're unsure about the reasons for others' bans. As mentioned earlier, one person got banned for offensive symbols, now the question is what are the others banned for? if the individual got banned for cheating or toxic behaviour do you think most wil say why they got banned for? i doubt it. its an individual message u need to write to LO support to recieve that answer. if they don't want to answer u than thats the problem of the person who got banned in the first place. 2. You're bringing up gamers' backgrounds in the context of bans. You're highlighting that LO appears to take personal factors like someone being a responsible family person, punctual at work, or kind to their spouse into account. However, this is not the case. ban's can occure everywhere. doesn't matter if you are a good semarithan or the pope. do you think that a serial killer who has lived like the kindest person alive before he started killing would get a sentence reduction? ( im probebly going overboard on this but thats my thought about it) 3. You are comparing EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) to FFBans. One manual ban has been mentioned, and you're wondering if this means most people received manual bans. this can be true and also false. as you stil don't know if it was manual or not. its not that 1 person has a manual ban that you recieve a manual ban. This is basicly saying EAC is controlled by Tigg's at this point. concludes all cheaters are banned for not reason and need to get there accounts back becous unfair bans. 4. we know that LO has strict policy against bans in general. A zero-tolerance approach is not bad. What's the next step? Personally, I hold no personal agrudges towards individuals like Darleenko or anyone else who has faced a ban initially. If someone has engaged in cheating, displayed toxicity, or used threatening symbols or any other behavior violating the Terms of Service (TOS), it's their own responsibility. However, I firmly believe that individuals should be provided with a clear and explicit explanation for their bans. If it turns out that they are still subject to a ban, than it is said so. my opinion is that you will stay in the category of banned until proven wrongly.
  20. Well its more words before dropping the hammer and cutting it out with a zero tolerance approach. The big issue as to what happened with cheating was it became "the norm" to cheat in the game. Nobody was talking about it because you were not allowed talk about it. It seemed hackusating became a bigger crime then the cheating itself. Also because it became "the norm" to cheat, the people who have been banned, instead of holding their hands up and saying "you got me" Are feeling entitled and trying to fight it. I started a thread about eyeballing cheaters, since its done in professional sports so why not in a old computer game?? I was attacked for this suggestion. Imagine being personally attacked for asking to ban cheaters that are obviosly cheating. This is because cheaters started to outnumber normal players, it created a little economy outside of the game in which players were selling their "undetected macros" Creating new cheaters. Cheaters are now allowed to operate out in the open with the only repercussion being a hackusation. (and recent bannings) There were no alerts that players are being banned. The only way we know that players are being banned are the posts from the cheaters crying about it. There absolutly no feedback to its normal customers about bannings or any recognition about what has been going on. New players come on and get stomped, somebody tells them that they need cheats and point them in the right direction and tell them that LO doesnt ban players simply because it all gets swept under the carpet. So it looks like there are no bannings at all. Also if you are banned for cheating, you dont deserve a reason why. But existing players who play the game properly do disserve some sort of feedback so they know that something is being done. It does alleviate some of the stress knowing that a player will lose his account soon after he cheats his way through games over and over again for months and months at a time.

The grenade smoke is suppose to disrupt your view. They need to tweak it so it has less impact on performance. Same with vehicle explosions. You shouldn't need a current day flagship GPU on a 10+ year old game just to get normal fps. Ignoring a player needs to remove all their symbols. Only the base colors should be rendered for clothing and cars. Since you're talking about settings. They need to remove the administrator account requirement to launch the game. Move all the temporary game data, like the asset cache and logs, to the Windows %temp% folder. Move "Config" folders to the user's %appdata% folder. Doing so will mean Windows will automatically clear out old APB logs, and players who share a PC can have separate graphics options. Players won't have to put their system at risk by running discord or other apps as an admin when they want push to talk to work in game.
  22. After not logging into my account for a long time, my account was blocked automatically, please unblock your account. Awful funny I seen him in district last night, or someone with the same name as above. Just my two cents. Seen him at Troll Gas in WF, and I remember him being a Silver in a Vegas. n I wont say anything more of what I saw because it would fall under the name shaming rules.
  23. Normally programs like MSI AFTERBURNER and similar are on the EAC whitelist, such programs were reviewed and approved by EAC and are usually related to companies, other than that any programs that have interaction with macros, vpns overlays etc, or that edit or interact with the memory are named third party applications, which for different reasons can trigger EAC alerts, especially if they are run at the same time as the game and interact with it in some way. That is why you should avoid such applications and clearly others with cheating intentions. If you use cheats, EAC will hunt you down and permanently ban you from the game and if you are not careful with other applications you use while playing Apb Reloaded, they may trigger the EAC alert. My advice to Apb players, just avoid to use macro applications, vpns, overlays or similar if you are not sure that they are approved, avoid downloading unknown files or lending your pc to other people, or obviously share your apb account. If you have problems or doubts and want to know more about Easy Anti-Cheat, these links will help you. https://www.easy.ac/contact/ https://www.epicgames.com/site/en-US/privacypolicy Or the EAC video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hI7V60r7Jco You can also contact Little Orbit's support, their link is : https://support.gamersfirst.com/ And obviously all APB players should also read the rules, terms and conditions from GamersFirst : https://www.gamersfirst.com/apb/eula I hope this information will be helpful to everyone.

One of the weapons found was that of a Colby CSG-20, which seemed to be altered in a way that allowed for a single modification.
