  1. Which I assume APB has already gone through... Wouldn't matter either way, for BE to reach full effect they'd need time on any product, trial period or not. Think of it of a trial for BE to get the game under its wing, rather than the other way around. Even if said period was offered for free, it would most likely mean the same quality of service because theyre doing such a thing to gain customers. So whatever license APB has on BE, it doesn't matter, BE is giving it it's all unless theyre running into issues with APB itself. In the commercial world, amongst businesses, trial has a completely different meaning than the average meaning of it for private consumers. It's not like they downloaded BE from the appstore on trial with ads or something alike, so the OP's suspicions, which I have heard before are completely irrelevant really.
  2. Aids would be caretakes and possible a doctor which come regurally, I was talking about obesity in case that wasn't clear, I used to work in healthcare and have seen some depressing situations thats where the comparison comes from really. Not that it matters. Im not sure what you mean by having high expectations in my household. I do come from a good home if that's what you meant by that, great mother, decent dad, in terms of youth atleast. Either way, this is me raising a flag for the standing I have taken in life, be tough, be true, be positive. With a decent ammount of realism and controversy added to it to make it human. Let's end this conversation here though. I'd be happy to discuss such thoughts in a more private setting however, but this is getting really off-topic (my fault really) and might disturb Witch's intentions of making this thread.
  3. oh. yeah, aids don't let you live too comfortably. Aids, as in someone aiding you, not AIDS, the disease. Though now that I think about it I guess that's a thing as well nowadays. @BXNNXD Not to bash on you or anything, but thats some irrational thinking really, once you get close to the average life expectancy age, sure you can start thinking that way. If your time is set because of various reasons, sure you can think that way. Otherwise, it is silly to think of death that is something that is approaching you, it is something that can come to at any time to anyone depending on a lot of factors. Im all for 'tired of life' jokes, but on the more serious note I strongly disapprove of thinking being depressed and waiting for death is acceptable. I'll refrain from getting any deeper into the topic though, it's not a public debate kinda topic really, imho. Again, I'm not specifically targetting you.
  4. Someone suspicious, I ended up giving the benefit of the doubt by default. I really don't want to feed the "oh hes just cheating thats why he won" mentality, and therefore I don't accept these thoughts. I have ran into blatant speedhackers twice by now though, so surely theres still cheaters, no educated guess can be based on that though.
  5. A free version of BE: Source: Twitter Is indeed non-existent. There is a thing called a trial period though, which comes down to BE testing compatibility and effectiveness of their product on a game with a discount on the license, I think.
  6. That reasoning implies there's a certain age a person would live up to. Reasonable people celebrate each life they have lived because living itself is not a given, it stems from a time where you couldn't fill up your whole house and still live for another decade with aids and medicine. Anyways, I might be there, and possibly glad this fella won't come since crossing the street is too much for him already.
  7. Yout point is not entirely invalid, however LO is already planning on changing the shotgun play, dmg wise, not spread wise. I say we see how that plays out first.
  8. "We need more active GM's in-game!". "Lixil joins the district". "Why is there never room in district, OMFG GM is taking a non-player slot which I can't take anyways! I need that spot to be open so I can whine about not being able to take it." If trollpost: Why feed toxicity on forums? If serious: How can you be serious? Also, how do I mine for fish?
  9. Probably... I mean thems mammals, omnivores pretty much, so most likely ye.
  10. 11/10 Never came across that song. I love Royksopp as well, loved it since I first heard "When I grow up", most of what I know and love of them is with Karin Dreijer, the singer from Fever Ray. Like this one a lot as well though, theyre just really good musicians in general that to co-componize really well in my opinion.
  11. 6/10 Not a huge fan of ambient music and this come's off as that. To listen to as music atleast, might rate it differently in a more befitting scenario.
  12. 9/10 Just recently got into Rone (Theyre pretty new though I guess?) one of my favourites currently.

If you manage to decode these lines I will give you a free like. Since the thread can't be saved let's turn it into a fun game like a riddle thread.
  14. Im at the point where Id be willing to pay LO to mute 23k really. Hes darned stubborn, prickly, offensive every now and then and most of all self righteous which I have little respect for. Surely my comment isnt relevant cus bla bla random counter argument x by which he means I am personally attacking him rather than discussin. Its just ugh, been nearly a week of talking against a brick wall that thinks hes a well of wisdom. What makes the never ending story a good story? It has a fucking ending! Someone please just make this stop. Only shitposting or no posting would be more constructive than this discussion.
  15. Case the Bolo, you can't depend on it, thats for sure. But with a tad bit of luck you'll beat a decent NTEC user, and oh boi, if youre camping an objective with proper backup you are solid (semi of course). Car comes up? No sir. HVR comes up? Byeeeeh. It is far from great but it can be a heck of a lot of fun to play with. It sounds amazeballs btw.
  16. I think we need to start a foundation to raise money to buy this fella a set of reading glasses. I am done with this, and saddened by the fact it is still ongoing.
  17. Another Problem this game has is the unhealthy amount of anime trash there is. It's true but it's not the only problem this game has. Thats just the youth really you see it in many really. Can't blame them either since culture is pretty much spoonfeeding it to them by overcommercializing other forms of entertainment to the point it loses its interesting parts. If it wasn't anime, it'd be cartoons, it has been for years. Calling them trash is going a bit far really, just because you dislike them doesn't give you the right to portray them as bad people or less worthy of respect. I'm not a fan of the weeb, but hey, theres a saying for this, whatever floats your boat man I got stuff others might dislike which I very much appreciate any person does really unless youve let yourself become an empty shell. Those comments you posted, a guy pointing out a PMG can kill you in 3 shots over long range, completely absurd. He obviously hasn't learned the game yet, so his comments are quite irrelevant. Headshot mechanics are such a common thing, that the average shooter guy will expect it in any shooter he starts up. I bet most of us, me alike, questioned at some point when they were new, how come theres no headshots? And think to themselves during a mission, FFS! I wouldve had him with a headshot there, rekt his skull right then and there. But once you really get into APB you start seeing why it wouldnt work out as well as in other games, mostly because of the MMO aspects of it (Mission design, map design, gun design etc). And that it doesn't actually need it, because the way guns work right now, in the current game, makes it tactical. If you can master your gun, youve got a small window of time you need at certain distances to kill someone, that is entirely what you play around, your kill window with the weapon used. It not realistic at all, it is non-intiunitive entirely and it is not easy to learn. But it is a heck of a lot of fun once you start learning it. This is what most APB players have come to appreciate. These were all observations based on the game-design of APB and its niche place in the shooter market. Now for the mechanics part. Yes, APB's hitboxes are utter shit, theyre so simplistic it has a heavy influence on the way the game has to be played. But like others and I alike frequently mentioned, it is like that for a reason, a proper one. It is an MMO, with an immense ammount of custimozed rendering going on at all times when a district is full. A lot of animations and sounds, and of course, a lot of bullets going back and forth. Ill try and put this into a simple formula for you. Imagine 1 calculation is needed for each bullet aimed towards a hitbox since the hitreg is pretty much like laser tag rather than working with projectile based mechanics (appart from the actuall projectile based weapons of course). When a player dies, he or she mustve taken on average about 6-7 hits, raising it above the average 5-6 needed to kill with most weapons, because theres a lot of shots regenerated, with lower damage due to damage dropoff and not raising it much because the opposite is in play as well, 1-3shot weapons like explosives and snipers. That is a max of 6 calculations per player per death on average (I am sure this is not how APB is programmed though, surely theres more going on). How many players will die per minute in a full district (80). Educated guess, with a maximum of 10 missions going on at once (based on a 3-4 player mission on average), and an average death count of 10 per player per 20min mission, itd come down to (10*4*10)/20= 80 deaths per minute on max in this hypothetical. 80*6=480 calculations on average necessary for all these deaths, per minute. The numbers are most likely way higher, and the formulas way more complex than what I just described, however 480 calculations per minute is already 8 calculations per second. Now like I mentioned, this setup is way too simplistic to be true, it is a formula reaching no further than ((a*b*c)/d)*e per minute. Adding any letter to the formula will increase it quite a bit. This is why some things in APB are so simple, like its hitbox, it needs to be made in a calculation saving way, because of the huge ammount of server communication required for more complex mechanics. If the engine is upgraded, they can most likely achieve a lot more with APB and add more complexity to it. Untill then, not without making the game unplayable.
  18. Better have car insurance / 10
  19. First encounter with a cheater in ages, Silver district Citadel, blatantly speedhacking. Wont name the fella, didn't record either because I sure am not going to bother with doing so unless I start getting annoyed by it. Just dropping my observations here really.
  20. 9.9/10 Lorn is great indeed, but it's not my favourite track of them, Anvil and The Well have taken that spot. Now a bit more funky.
  21. 8/10 CGI a bit over the top on the clip, but I didnt count that in the rating. Songs good though! From the chillaxed category, omnious would describe what I feel like whilst listening to this, hope someone can relate.
  22. All Grand Points Theft Bulletin Autos: VI Refurbished.
