  1. What about the vid where you were blatantly using a triggerbot?
  2. MrChan

    Wasp Rejects

Is fapping over WASP still a meme around here? Come on.
  3. Are you going to be harvesting these over a few days Jenz? Don't think I'll be able to get on until late in the week / possibly the weekend.
  4. But that'd be useless in teams of 3 and 4 which the game is designed for - one person could easily always have a spawner up. The issue is that 1v1s shouldn't happen, which they're not supposed to. But sometimes they slip through.
  5. There is a cooldown on Car Spawner? At least on its use. You can't spawn in a car more than once every 120 seconds. Also 1v1s should be rare, because the game doesn't start missions with only a single player in them. Therefore you can only get 1v1s if 2 or more players start a mission and all but one of them abandon the mission before they get opposition (unless of course they reverted that). I guess they need to have the game automatically abandon an unopposed mission if there's only one player left. Alternatively, you can abandon the mission yourself if everyone else leaves it before opposition.
  6. If you're planning to put in some sort of territory control mode permanently and this is a test, I'd ditch the barrels as a capture mechanic and have the district just be persistent (have a couple of areas for each team that can't be capped), instead of everyone going to Havland Park to gank each other at the end and then resetting.
  7. Jesus Christ, is this still a fucking thing? Also, your English is so sub-literate that it might as well be Russian.
  8. Still in my spine-breaking sportwagon: Seriously MG, y u fit such hard shocks? Still at least I'm not living down the arsehole of nowhere anymore and I'm driving it on decent roads. Wheels need a respray (pic is 3 years old) and it keeps warping front brake discs (3 sets eaten in as many years). Had it looked over by two different blokes and they both say there's nothing wrong with anything on the front end, and I am not a heavy braker. I'm thinking of getting a proper Rover/MG set from the specialist in UK rather than whatever's in the local autofactor and seeing does that work. But if there's something undetected and it eats that set too, it'll be an expensive little experiment.
  9. How can something so beautiful exist on this world?
  10. Gimmie a proper Sportwagon. The Ravan is slow, sad and has no capacity.
  11. Been saying this for years. The main issue is that you'd have to also hide district threat, and then you'd have to sort players into the right district for their threat rather than just letting them pick one at random so matchmaking wouldn't suck. Ideally the game would enforce auto-join, but that'd probably create too many instances of dumping people in near empty districts. Maybe if you selected Financial and were offered three districts closest to your or your team's threat and picked the ones with the best numbers?
  12. How? Does BattlEye go as deep as to see what you're actually using AHK for? Can it tell the difference between a macro to spam join a district and one to spam your Joker Carbine? Or would we rely on FF to detect that you have identical intervals between shots? Cos that works well doesn't it? Nah, leave it banned, please. Escalating temp bans. That means that if you keep at it, the temporary ban would get rather long. How quickly their detected is more important anyway. A guy hacking for 30 minutes, then getting a 24 hour ban from BattlEye, and then hacking for another 30 minutes, followed by a 1 week ban and so on until his ban is so long that he rerolls, is better than a guy hacking for 10 hours before being FFd and then rerolling for another 10 hours of hacking before he's FFd again.
  13. If you need a big tank, the Pioneer. If you need a fast car the Vegas 4x4.
  14. It's the usual you get though. A hacker testimonial that goes on about how you can only really tell who's hacking when you're hacking yourself, and naturally says lots of Golds in APB hack. Which I'm sure they then mentally justify their own hacking with.
  15. Widescreen? Pfft. Amateurs. I'm planning to go for a triple-screen setup.
  16. @ Demonoid What's the pay for that like? I say that because most truck drivers I meet in Ireland are Eastern Europeans who tend to have a much higher tolerance for working for sod all. Been in substantially the same pattern for the last couple of years. Go to work. Not get paid enough for the work I do (Capital Accounting, but I'm the same pay grade as the receptionist and replaced someone two grades above me), but I tolerate it because I like my job. Come home. Play bass or games. But I got some changes lately: - Bought a house and I'm getting the last couple of bits together (patch up and repaint an old kitchen table, get carpets fitted, buy a TV & some white goods off the back of a truck somewhere) to move in. - Studying for a job interview on Tuesday. It's a promotion where I work and if it was done by the management team based on everyone's existing work record and I'd piss it and have been told as much, but because I'm the public sector there has to be a competitive interview process with outside interviewers. - To top it off I'm playing in a local show. Which for me has descended to trying keep my eyes off the Dance Captain & Choreographer. She's wondrous and magnificent, but she's also at least 9 years younger than me. Anytime I think about it, it just screams bad idea. On the plus side, I'll probably be doing virtually nothing in a month or so.
  17. Forza series does it as well, sometimes the Codemasters F1 games do. Isn't it an option when hosting in AC? Thought it was, but I haven't played much of it online.
  18. Yep. Welcome to Racing Sim netcode: Watch how the green car reacts when the black & cyan one (who jumped the start like a twat, btw) faceplants the wall. Now replace the green car with a nice, squishy APB player. That's an extreme example, I'll admit, but netcode contact is a thing. And that's on iRacing which has better netcode than any other sim I've played. A lot of other racing games know they can't compensate and get around the problem by having cars ghost out in certain conditions. The only thing in APB's favour is that cars are limited to something like 50mph where those guys are probably over 100 when shit hits the fan. Vehicles in APB are idiosyncratic and weird. But they're largely fine once you get used to them. There's plenty of things that are far more broken that should be sorted before this is even considered imo.
  19. I'd drop Baylan to 16 v 16. It was never a map that put a premium on tactical movement and spawnkilling was occasionally an issue, but it's beyond spammy now. The spawn system just plain out can't handle the numbers. You frequently end up with only one or two options to spawn at and if there are enemies closing in on it, well you're shit outta luck. I assume the reason they did it is because pop dropped to the point where there was never enough demand for two Baylans, so they upped the limit to make the most of the one Baylan that could be filled. But since the pop is on the way back up now, that reason is surely gone? Asylum's okay at 20 v 20, although it still runs too many item hold missions.
  20. Half of them haven't dropped legit and you know they haven't. Why do people play dumb and ignore intentional dethreating whenever this subject comes up?
  21. Voted Option 4. Honestly, anyone who does otherwise is playing a different game. Option 1: This isn't working as R255 Greens and the cohort of players who deliberately drop to Silver threat to play on Bronze districts demonstrate. The game isn't exactly newbie friendly as is, having xx420NoScope69xx who should be playing against veteran players stomp all over Bronze district doesn't help. And any game needs new players to remain viable. Option 2: This was tried. People will tell you that Golds couldn't get matches and had to dethreat to join lower threat districts, but at least for Obeya, this is a fib. You could get matches, people just didn't like who their matches were against. "BAW!!! These QSing tryhards who run with the item are able to match my QS and running tactics!!! Unfair! I want to win all the time!!" However, Obeya at the time was regularly over 1500 players. Even post LO and BattlEye, we don't have those numbers on Citadel & Jericho. It's also problematic for off-peak players or cross-threat teams and clans. So it's almost certainly not going to work now. Option 3: This will not solve a damn thing, and will be seen as a punishment for having high threat and will encourage more dethreating. That leaves us with: Option 4: Rework the threat system. Anything else is a sticking plaster. I'm not going to get into the mechanics of who should be what threat level, because I think our views of the skill distribution in the game are all coloured by what threat we are. As a Gold, I might think there's as big a gap between me and a top player as there is between a low Bronze and me, but that mighn't be necessarily true. My main suggestion is that threat would be best off hidden. Still there match-making in the background, but not visible to anyone. Not the most popular idea, I expect, and as much as I'd like to go back to a graduated system so I can track my own progress, the trade off in terms of both threat obsession ("Get outta my team you mere Gold 4 insect, I'm trying for Gold 10, I can't carry you!") and easier tracking of dethreating isn't worth it imo. With threat hidden, people won't decide their match is unfair before a shot is fired. You can't look at a Silver and instantly start trying to get him to TK you so you can kick him cos you don't want Silvers in your team. You can't track your intentional threat loss. You can't complain that you 'shouldn't be Gold' and then dethreat because you don't know that you are Gold. Want to go to a Bronze district to stomp lowbies? Oh wait, you can't. Because you can't see which districts are Bronze threat. Of course for this to have a chance of working, there'd need to be a much greater effort to put similar threat players in the same districts so you get multiple different opponents instead of the same team or a couple different combinations of the same 7 players repeatedly. Enforced auto-join would ideal, but I don't think there's anyway to stop it accidentally dropping you in a nearly empty district once in a while, which rules it out. Maybe if instead of seeing every instance, it only showed you the three instances of WF & FN nearest you or your team's threat level that you could then pick from. (This assumes our recent pop increase will be sustained, obviously - if we go back to pre-LO levels then we might as well just ditch threat, cos there's no way to make it work with so few players) This would also stop people moving from district to district until they find one with the most low threat players to stomp on.
