  1. 1. Prevent trades / trade request during missions. 2. If you decline a trade request, the requesting player should be prevented from sending you another request for a set time period (ie 5 minutes). 3. Need a "available for trades" check box or a ready to trade toggle (like the ready for mission functionality, but limited to social district)
  2. I am surprised you guys don't remember the whole EU digital goods VAT tax changes that went into effect on Jan 1st, 2015.... It was a big to do back then.... https://www.developersalliance.org/news/eu-value-added-tax-vat-changes-what-you-need-to-know Then you also have these new proposals that they are talking about just this year: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/business/company-tax/fair-taxation-digital-economy_en
  3. I'm not complaining about it at all, just wondering what, if anything, is being done at this point to rectify it. They were trying some stuff to fix it and temporarily it seemed to help, but now it is worse than it was before (imo anyway). If they have decide nothing more can be done until the engine upgrade besides server restarts, that is okay with me. Just wanted to know since there hasn't been an update on it in awhile. It is one of the major issues with the game, after all.
  4. @MattScott So, the game seemed playable for a few days last week, then something changed (constant DDOSing?) and over the last several days it has been garbage (at least on Jericho). I know I am not the only player experiencing this because district chat is on fire with how bad the lag / warping / stuttering / rubberbanding / hit reg is. I have seen several posts about this and have even replied to some, but haven't seen an official reply on what exactly is going on to rectify the issue so I made this post. Is this lag / warping / stuttering / rubberbanding / hit reg something we are just going to have to live with until the engine upgrade (or beyond)? If so, that is fine. I'd just like to know what to expect because I'm strongly considering giving up trying to play again since it is hard to find it enjoyable under these conditions.
  5. Yeah, it might as well still be offline... Financial 2, horrible.... even worse than the last 4 days.
  6. Servers seem terrible again... DDOS, mitigation, whatever... Just to the point of not being playable / enjoyable to play... Need to come up with a better solution to this issue fast or all the people who have come back since LO took over will be leaving again.
  7. The Jericho districts have been horrible since last night and are still bad today. I've been trying to place on Waterfront-2 (silver), but it is bad... warping all over the place, etc.
  8. Seems better to me since the patch... Haven't noticed any warping / stuttering like before.
  9. Why does "There needs to be a way to distinguish players by skill", at least visibly to other players? In my mind, as it is currently, there is no actual benefit to visually showing threat level and it just leads to prejudices, name calling, hackusations, etc. I have no problem showing a player their own threat level or some other sort of statistical indication of their performance compared to other active players. Like a performance rating or something. It could even be a daily rating, weekly rating, monthly rating, etc. I think the rating should be character based though because progression level in regards to access to mods, weapons, etc can have an impact, big or small, on match statistics and outcomes. As an example, if I am using a low progression level character against a team with high progression level characters who have access to car surfer, explosive weapons, etc, I end up at a disadvantage either small or great depending on the mission and stage. I am not complaining about this match up, but it does impact the stats and possibly the overall outcome of the mission.
  10. My thought is that player threat would only be hidden in district so there wouldn't be a need to hide district threat. Players would still see their own threat level on the character selection menu, etc. This obviously is just a short-term, temporary fix, until a better matchmaking system and district instance management system could be implemented.
  11. @MattScott Q. Does the ingame /report <player> command actually do anything like alerting GMs to inappropriate in-game behavior? I ask because from recent experience, I've encountered a few players who are blatantly trying to dethreat by hanging around objective areas but are not actively participating in the match. This contributes to a bad in-game experience which is prolonged when these players continue to get teamed with you over and over.
  12. It doesn't bother me personally what people say, but if you just read district chat you'll see 90% of it is toxic with a majority of that referencing threat level. Showing threat provides zero benefit to the game especially with the poor matchmaking system and unbalanced missions. This also helps drive new players off and contributes to the decision of some weakerminded players to cheat.
  13. Showing green, bronze, silver, and gold threat levels in district seems to just cause toxicity much like announcing bans did... If you are green, bronze, or even silver you are harassed for being a noob. If you are gold (even if it is just temporary) in a bronze district you are accused of intentionally dethreating. If you beat / kill someone with a higher threat level, you are accused of being a dethreater, hacker, or reroll. So, how about we just hide showing threat levels... If the player is on your team, they have green rank symbols If the player is on the other team, they have red rank symbols If the player is not on either team, they have gray rank symbols No one knows anyone else's threat level so no one can harass or make accusations based on threat... Just a thought. Love it or hate it. Either way.
