What Happens If Battle Eye Is Not Enough?
Frosi replied to VanilleKeks's topic in General Discussion Archive
Thank you very much for this thread, it definitely addresses some of the concerns the community has in a formal and well-written way and in all honesty there is not a single point I disagree with. Their approach and long term solution to fixing the cheating situation is definitely valid and could work out extremely well in a game like APB if cheat developers had to constantly figure out a new way to make their cheat work, APB doesn't have a huge player base so the demand for a cheat isn't exactly high meaning that they will eventually either sell for a more expensive price or are discontinued as its not worth the effort to keep it updated and undetected. However, my question with this solution is will it really work out the way it is meant to and if it is really that efficient in the long run as 3.5 is on the horizon and might also require cheat developers to recode parts of their cheat if not everything. I know that I'm not exactly the best person to go into this kind of topic as I've shown my frustration with the cheating situation far too frequently and come over like a broken record, I definitely called innocent people out for cheating in the past and make it sounds like BE really doesn't do anything and I am sorry for that, but it is in their best interest to fix the cheating situation, regardless of how severe it really ends up being. -
lets pretend like I understand what google translator is trying to tell me. yes

Certain things in the game are supposed to be hard to obtain and that's a good thing. People will complain about this and that being too hard to obtain or being "exclusive" to certain players and scream for Special Snowflake treatment instead of actually trying to improve and be able to obtain said item.
-
Not many, but Fight club rewards aren't really for that group of players anyways.
-
You don't have to play every day be within the gold rewards of Fightclubs. The 4x4 used to be an extremely prestigious car before they added it to Armas. It was intended to be a reward for dedicated players that not everyone will be able to get and that is a good thing. If everything was extremely easy to achieve then why have progression in the first place?
-
Half a year for the four slotted version my man. Before they revamped FC Jokerticket rewards to compensate for Daily Activities you could get a 4 slot 4x4 in 3~ months. Now its just a bit longer if you actually play the game.
-
You can earn that in less than half a year if you play actively, just saying.

Your signature makes me want to cry

Happy new year.

Melee weapons were planned back in the day but I believe they had issues balancing them. Getting corner popped by a guy with a baseball bat and being beaten to death doesn't sound like all that much fun either
-
Huh, the more you know I guess. I rarely ever had cars despawn in front of me so I figured it's a bug more than anything else.
-
Well, somewhat. As far as I know, they only despawn if they're actually able to drive around so they can get to the nearest despawn location. The problem with that is how easily you can stop the cars from driving around, roadblocks or even entering the car and removing the "Driver" will completely stop them from moving around and will result in crowded areas such as seen in the OP. There's no real solution to this situation and it is why a lot of configs aimed to improve your FPS will choose to lower all sorts of civilian models, this includes cars and their character model aswell while also likely making them use their lowest possible texture quality at all ranges. All you can do is hope for the engine upgrade to improve the overall performance of the game by a lot so the fps dips in crowded areas like this aren't as noticeable.

No HoHoHoPGL or Snowballs This Year?
Frosi replied to Leefekyn's topic in General Discussion Archive

Autumn Assault skins have been awarded
Frosi replied to MattScott's topic in General Discussion Archive
That makes absolutely zero sense. The Autumn Assault Event wasn't like any other Event the game had, it was only run during certain times which meant that players that do work at these times could only attempt to get the skin on the weekends which is why it flopped the way it did. They learned their lesson and I hope they're sticking to the old Event format that G1 has used for years, meaning that they enable the Event and have it run for 2 weeks until it is eventually disabled with a patch. This time no one gets to complain about not being able to play at certain times as the Event runs 24/7 for 2 or so weeks. Anyone saying they can't complete it to receive the rewards probably doesn't have enough time to play games which is not LO's fault. -
Not gonna lie, I actually forgot about HBU there for a second. Obviously another mod on the list of Car Modifications that should be looked into. (Reducing the max health of the car would be a valid tradeoff.)
-
Pretty much this. However, some car mods are still absurd when they're compared with each other. (Steel Plating 3, Armored Engine 3 and Radar Tower / Car spawner) Although a general health nerf to the current Meta cars could go a long way.

Can someone give me a summary of what has changed?
Frosi replied to Kirsikka's topic in General Discussion Archive
Whoops, I actually forgot about those. I added them, thank you. -
Last day if you want to earn your Christmas achievements.
Frosi replied to Mitne's topic in General Discussion Archive
To note is that this is for the completionist title that requires you to complete 20 Dailies while the main role for the Event only requires you to do 10. -

Here are a few of the major things they've changed since they introduced BattlEye. Weapon balance pass that made a lot of the lesser used guns more effective although the Meta hasn't really changed. 3 New Seasonal Events. (One of which is currently running) Revamped /report system. 2 Factor Authentication. Trading System. Armas rework with price changes. Reformed the San Paro City Testers (SPCT). They also fixed a bunch of bugs that have been in the game for years. Also yes, you're still allowed to use the Advanced Launcher. -
The HOHOPGL and Snowballs aren't available in the main districts this year.

The reduction in cooldowns for active Character / Vehicle Mods that Premium provides is generally seen as the only "OP" thing that comes with Premium. I'm saying that they should remove this part of Premium and change the cooldowns of all mods to the current Premium values.
-
It's a disgustingly effective way to cheese kills so I am all for increasing the Cooldown to something like 2 minutes with Premium. Also as a friendly reminder, the cooldown reduction that comes with premium should still be made baseline and available to all players.

The main rewards for the Event come from accepting and completing Daily activities. You have to go down to the very bottom of The Beacon, towards the Center you will find a small room with Ammo machines, a Mailbox and a Contact. Interact with the Contact and accept the Daily activity there. As for Slay Bells, you have to open your map and double-click a Contact and accept your daily that way.
-
I believe this isn't intended and is caused by leaving the Slay Bells district while you're located within a Frostbite zone.

This goes live tomorrow on the 19th.
