  1. As we all know, there weren't any new animations made for APB during the whole reign of Reloaded - all bullpup weapons reload like pistols! All the animations we have in the game are repurposed from RTW - so I'm wondering, is the Showstopper animation a relic of RTW or was it actually made by LO from scratch?
  2. TBH I don't really think shotguns need a full revert or massive overhauls. The pellet scaling mechanic is a GODSEND. The foundation for them to be a balanced weapon are in place, they just fudged some stats along the way. I partially agree with some suggestions in the OP IMO priority number one wold be buffing the drop-off range on JG and CSG, and lowering the CSG's TTK to 0.75 instead of the current .77 IR3 is almost necessary for shotguns to be halfway decent and that's a problem It's funny - LO made the tools to help make shotguns consistent, but then gave them stats that makes them rather inconsistent as soon as any distance is in play

Does this happen on female characters?

  6. I still think it'd need something to reduce its effectiveness at range - it easily outclasses the ACT and RSA Buffing the ACT and RSA to its level would just create two equally annoying guns (though these two still need a little tune up)

    LtL Conversion Mod

    I'm gonna play devil's advocate There's way too many edge cases and unforseen consequences waiting around the corner - and assuming "most weapons become much weaker!" that really doesn't give you a reason to use this mod I think this mod is way too convoluted for its own good Why would I, a developer, test and balance out the myriad of possible combinations this brings forth when I can just.... design a LTL weapon What time and effort you might save in terms of authoring and testing new LTL guns you end up wasting with potential balance issues - given the way modifications work, you can't really tweak this mod to affect each individual gun differently without having people go "ayo wtf you doing little orbit" - like they rightfully did when we came to find out the silenced RFP somehow has less range LTL is in a godawful state, and I agree with that. But at this point wouldn't adding new LTL weapons just be... easier? There's only so many niches to fill in this game

  12. the gun is supposed to be a high damage burst fire close range secondary I don't see the point in it having 40m range, and it does in fact turn it into a pocket OBIR
  13. at that point it's going to be pretty much useless The stupid thing is - if it's far enough from a player, you can literally see people pop into existence from that car, even if it's being shot at. IMO a car spawn taking fire should be disabled for one or two seconds per-hit, so a stray lucky bullet is a hindrance, focused pelting becomes a strategy
  14. Seems more like they forgot to add the rank restrictin to those guns in particular - the JG Stock and OCA Stock are cosmetic variations of the guns added a couple of years ago

Personally I don't think the RoF needs a full revert - they can be competitive at slightly sub .7 if they actually have some range to them Keep in mind a revert would be .68 TTK - I think JG can work with .7 if it has decent range, and the CSG could have its range bumped a bit with a ttk of .72 I do agree with .77 being excessive however
  18. Correct, perfect circle spread has been gone for years - the size of spread was reduced in the latest patch, and it still has around 20 pellets iirc
  19. More specifically, pump shotguns Currently shotguns are awesomely consistent when they work. And that's the point Their current range drop off makes them extremely unreliable in anything that isn't spitting distance - and even then they struggle a bit. Even playing cornerns doesn't really work well anymore since it's nigh impossible to get the full damage output, and that's where shotguns are supposed to be superior The CSG doesn't suffer from this as much due to smooth spread and slightly better range (although the maximum potential damage of 620hp doesn't help it much) - but the JG has been hit really hard by the last range nerfs For comparison - the NFAS kinda suffers from being a melee range weapon, but you can actually afford to rush down an opponent thanks to automatic fire and a sub .6 TTK Ironically the Shredder went from being overpowered to nigh useless - it's pretty much worse than the CSG in most ways What do you all think?

Coroner has less range and more forgiving walk / run modifiers ( 6 vs 8 ) which should still result in crappy accuracy on the move either way Coroner levels up rifleman while IRS levels up Sniper, neither have marksmanship movement (walk) penalties apparently I guess the choice is down to recoil

More about the fact that they can be obtained as random rewards & the medium box is meant to be an exclusive The box is smaller, sure, but it's also much easier to transport since it lets you jog (medium item vs heavy item) I've no idea what sort of tradeoff you'd give to stuff like the medspray or epinephrine
  22. Pretty please? Right now you can only purchase the JT unique medium ammo box I imagine you'd have to make them slightly cheaper than the medium boxes since they can be dropped randomly
  23. Yes. Character Mod Slots just say "You need to unlock this" - why don't they specify which contact ( Shift / Byron Bloodrose and Grissom / Stu Phoenic for crims and enfs respectively ) unlocks them?
  24. Just about every other locked item / feature tells you how to obtain it (e.g. "Unlocked at level X with Y contact") It would be nice to give character modification slots the same treatment
