Rank means nothing other than the fact that you've been playing for a long time it doesn't automatically mean you're skilled at the game. I'm a 255 but I went bronze the other day and no I wasn't dethreating.

Not sure if you're just trolling (although I stongly suspect you are) but this is an utterly ridiculous arguement. Nobody stays green for more than a couple of missions, I once made a character just to test this, I didn't get a single kill yet after just a handful of missions I was silver. Golds in bronze are just cancer pure and simple and it's killing this game. Anyway we all know that golds hate being teamed with lower skilled players because they are such a bunch of tryhards.

What version of Win10 do you have ? From what I've read you only get control over what updeates to install and when if you have the enterprise edition.

From what I've been reading the spyware reinstalls itself everytime there's an update.... et2a : Even if you can rid yourself of the pesky spyware it still doesn't address the issue of future monetisation. At this point I no longer trust M$ or indeed any major corporation in the tech industry.

except you never can get rid of all the garbage, Win 10 is spyware pure and simple. The fact that M$ are teating Win 10 as a service rather than an OS is more than enough to give me cause for concern. I strongly suspect they'll bring in yearly subscription fees before long, they aren't planning on releasing another version of Windows after Win 10 and they'll have to monetise it somehow. Once using Win 7 is no longer a viable option I'll be switching to Linux.

Well I doubt it's just you. However I remember hearing that APB was a cheat infested sewer long before I even started to play, years before FFbans was a thing, so to me at least seeing all those bans made me feel like G1 were at the bare minimum trying to address the issue.

I honestly think grouping should be removed from bronze districts aswell, premades contribute a lot to the toxicity. Let them go play in silver districts where they can't prey on noobs.

The lag is real, yesterday I saw someone "moonwalking" backwards I've never seen anything like that in APB before, it was really weird, also I couldn't seem to land a shot on them. I don't think it's me, my latency is usually around the 33ms mark and my framerate usually sits at a solid 100fps.

That's not the point I was making, I'm not actually saying there are more cheats since the unban, it's more a matter of perception. If you unban all those accounts players become suspicious that every person they face "could" be an unbanned cheater up to their old tricks again, and thus hackusations go through the roof, essentially it errodes player trust especially when they don't see any evidence that cheaters are being dealt with, on the whole it just makes things more toxic. Say what you want about fairfight bans, I know that site was as toxic as all hell but at least it gave players the impression that something was being done about the problem regardless of how reliable those bans were, right now nobody knows what is happening and that only feeds the suspicion and paranoia. I only play on Citadel so I have no idea what goes on on Jericho which is where most of the people in this thread seem to be playing, you could be having a totally different experience to me.

Things are looking bleak at the moment, I don't know if LO are actually banning people for cheating but right now paranoia is running rampant. Even I have been accused of cheating and if anyone here has seen me play you'll know what a joke that is. Just recently I've seen a fair bit of suspicious activity, I can't say for sure whether people are cheating but things certainly seem far worse than they have ever been and they've never been great. Some sort of confirmation from LO that they are actually taking steps to deal with this issue would be nice because right now their silence on the matter is only feeding the cancer. and honestly speaking after unbanning everyone when they first took over I feel like they aren't taking this issue very seriously. Maybe they are working hard to keep the game clean but their unwillingness to discuss the matter just feels like they are being complacent to me. The fact that we've seen 3 different anticheats in the space of a year doesn't exactly fill me with hope, I just get the impression that they don't know what they are doing. Given that it's taking them over a month to answer support tickets I have to wonder if they even have enough staff to deal with banning players if bans have to be manually reviewed

I realise it's almost impossible to get a fair match with so few players, I'd just settle for something other than 2v2's or even 1v1's, it's so boring.

Don't worry about LO folks they'll do ok, once they've finished killing APB they can go back to making Disney games for 3 yr olds.

Given the utter shit show that has been the release of Riot I dread to think what state the engine upgrade will be in.

Why ? Every player that plays Riot is one less in the already underpopulated mission districts. With any luck Riot will just fade away and LO can concentrate their efforts on the main game.

They can't exactly force it on us, most people will just play missions and fightclub as normal and riot will be left to rot.

It's complete trash, but at least most people are still playing in the mission districts, so hopefully it won't have much impact on the main game .

Splitting the playerbase will kill APB stone dead at this point, there's barely enough players on Citadel to fill a couple of districts at peak times and Citadel has the biggest population. Riot will be a total disaster mark my words. I don't doubt that we need new content but we need proper content not trash like this.
