  1. Seems like a rough situation you're in but neither party can really do anything about the situation. I find it silly you display this to ''showcase how they threat a 10 year old player'' yet none of the circumstances could/can be avoided (could also not use a VPN) by either. You're using a VPN which does trigger alerts or security measures, but you also can't play without it due the bad provider. It sucks but you got to realise and look at the bigger picture here, they aren't there to bully you out.
  2. I can vouch for this. We see and hear things, things move and go around not as dead silent fish G1 who just sat and did nothing all day but collect money till it ran out. With LO we got: updates to the live game, new features, attempts to improve the situation, engine upgrade beta's, interviews, faq's, and so much more then we ever did in the existence of G1 owning APB other then a few bandaid fixes. They tried - at the beginning but somewhere around 2014-2015 I feel like they had given up entirely and just let it sink until it sunken. LO saved it from drowning and brought it back to life with a better server host to protect the servers from malicious people as well as doing their best to moderate, respond to support inquires, and other changes that can improve the game. I feel like they truly try and make it work out - unlike G1 where I felt they just had given up and sat around.
  3. No need for a wake up call; I think they are perfectly aware of how things are going. They are working on it. In the meantime, some other fixes or balance changes or content just will have to wait else they have to redo that work again for the engine, and nobody likes double work. Pop numbers are low for a multitude and a lot of different reasons, depends on who you ask on why they might or might not play right now.
  4. None of them have been up to snuff to be suffice for APB's needs so far.
  5. You know it's LO that sue them right?
  6. Glad some of you got it to work, hope others also will end up finding a resolution. Let us know at least.
  7. This error appears to be random and kicks a bunch (or not) people at times. Most of the time I heard about it from people the issue only happened once or twice to them and then it disappeared. I've never been affected by this one for some weird reason. I assume this doesn't have anything to do with your local machine and sounds more like on the server-side.
  8. I've had one other player contact me about this issue, we tried some usual steps as reinstalling BE from the binaries folder but that didn't work using the two batch files. So what we ended up doing was uninstall BattlEye with the batch file in Binaries\BattlEye (run as admin!) and then reinstall APB, upon starting up or wanting to start up APB the launcher should install BattlEye.
  9. This is probably the best technical assumption. In truth I don't think anyone knows the true answers but servers do perform better when there is less pop overall. 40-40 is even already daunting it seems for both the clients as well as the server and it's likely because of outdated code.
  10. https://www.gamersfirst.com/account/ Supposedly the fix for this is to login to the main site and disable tokenize and enable it again. Then top right account if it doesn't properly redirect you to the page under "Two-factor authentication"
  11. Yes, it works as intended but if there is a 3D load and the GPU stays in idle clock speeds then there is something wrong with either the application or driver. Explosives are just hefty on the single core/thread performance where it hiccups the game just like the current 60secs Garbage Collection Dump hiccup.
  12. No person in life ever did something good at first try. It's a on-going progress.
  13. Something seems to be wrong that doesn't give the GPU the impression that it needs to allocate resources and thus up the clock speed. I can't exactly give you a 1 stop solution as it could be a variation of issues with accompanied solutions.
  14. GPU Boost does this for you on the nvidia cards, well within spec or limits. Keep in mind though that APB doesn't do a lot of tasks on the GPU, APB's performance favours CPU more then anything. You can't force an application to do something it's not designed to do.
  15. Change in Nvidia Control Panel under "Manage 3D Settings -> Program Settings -> APB: All Points Bulletin" the Power Management mode to Prefer max performance. Sounds like it is stuck in running in idle mode.
  16. That's just classic Garbage Collection (every 60secs) or this game being old that was never designed to go over 120fps. I am on a 3950x + 1080 Ti and I don't see a constant 144fps either unless it's very specific spots or with barely any people around. This is purely by how the game is designed for back in the day and it's age. Seeing you're also on a 3900x which isn't a very amazing IPC compared to the new gen 5900x for example. APB Benefits a lot from Instructions Per Clock performance numbers. GHz on the CPU can also help in making APB render the frames faster and more frequent.
  17. Unfortunately this issue won't go away until the Engine Upgrade has been completed. No matter what you try none of it will work.
  18. I rather have them being transparent then being whatever the silent never-saying previous owners were. If we have to do assumptions it just makes things worse and a lot of misinformation will float which is still a problem to this day.
  19. Advanced Launcher has been allowed by LO: (which directly changes TEXT based files) Macro's however are 3rd party tool assisted, they are not allowed. Why do we use configs? Performance. Stutters might be decreased and framerates (not much) might be increased or improved when we lower the graphics. We're essentially making the game easier to run by reducing the quality.
  20. Thanks for the feedback! Glad it helped.
  21. Please refer back to my post, I specifically stated "constant and consistent frame rate of 128 fps or above". On systems that can generate 144fps but not with a lot of consistency will not produce the sliding. This is further amplified with the less players in the district and or specific location you are located in. I've performed tests on i9 9900K @ 5.2 GHz (a very modern processor with a lot of Instructions Per Clock where APB benefits from) as well as on a Ryzen 3950X (my own system processor) - rarely does the GPU matter in APB's case, it mostly does the resolution of the game and some other minor aspects. Gaining FPS in APB is *mostly* based on the processor's IPC performance and frequency speed. Having 144 fps but at a inconsistent frame rate (+frametime) results in the bug not appearing meaning it only happens if you get 144.3 FPS ~all the time. Getting 144.0, 144.3, 144.9, 144.5 doesn't seem to trigger the bug. Hope this informed you a little further in the technical details or observations.
  22. Unfortunately you'll have to use 128 fps to completely stop it from happening (in my experience). I tried every possible value from 129 to 144 and it kept on happening, the higher just seemed to slide for longer durations.
