  1. I think people are disagreeing with nerfing it too much. Really all it needs is a slight damage reduction or an extra STK or two and it should be fine. Right now it just kills way too fast. Now a days saying "Nerf it" just sounds like "Make this gun useless".
  2. It's not like we really have a say in the matter, but it would be nice if they would add an integrated voice service to the game instead of relying on a 3rd party service. This must really suck for console players though, because I know they use voice a whole lot more than we do.
  3. Ah, My brain might have gotten something someone else said blended in with what he really did say. Disregard that part then
  4. Four years later and your skin hasn't thickened at all? Jeez. You would think you would just be immune to this stuff by now.
  5. MattScott has said that the /report feature actually did nothing. Like, it just had no function other than returning a message saying reported. So they removed it so they can add a report function that actually does something.
  6. The people that are working on making the car are probably not the same ones balancing weapons, plus the car is probably almost done. Right now they're releasing a bunch of content that G1 almost had finished anyway so it shouldn't impact development at all. We know that it's called Mirage, but that's all we have to go on. So to me it either sounds like a luxury sedan or something desert themed like a Humvee.
  7. The black 2003 Cadillac Escalade in the background is mine. It's got a 6.0L V8, so it only gets about 12 mpg, but it's a super comfortable car to drive My grandmother gave it to me because I just happened to get my license around the time she was planning on buying a new car, so that was really lucky. The shitty 1974 Nova in the foreground is also mine. I've been looking for another one so I can actually get something drivable put together, but haven't had any luck. The underside is way too rusted out to be saved, but I have a ton of parts for it.
  8. The Morai just needs to be reverted to its original AWD version. Since it was switched to RWD, it doesn't have enough power to reverse up a slope and it just spins tires. The Pioneer and the normal Vegas also don't have suspension anymore, G1 broke that back when they fucked with the vehicle physics. That's why you go airborne whenever you hit an invisible bump on the sidewalk with a Vegas. It would be awesome if we could have everything rebalanced around the current meta by making every vehicle just as viable, but in different ways. Except maybe the really low end ones, but I feel like those should get a bit of a speed and acceleration buff anyway.
  9. Well, they did a lot of shit to something that didn't need changed. They made night look darker by turning the fog from orange (which simulated light pollution) to a very dark blue, they broke DoF, they turned bloom into a blob shape instead of a star shape, they also broke night time bloom specifically. Now bloom acts like it's on the wrong layer or something for most of the night time part of the cycle. If you look at a billboard or a window that is against the sky, you'll see a glow around it, but if a model is behind that light source then the glow can't be seen. Bloom only appears against the sky during most of the night. Oh and they added a blue filter to the whole cycle that only goes away at the beginning of the sunset part of the cycle and comes back at night, goes away in the morning, then comes back toward the end of the morning. Also take a look at that building with the blue neon on the top left. They don't even produce light now.
  10. It did for a little bit, but keep in mind that most cheaters had many, many accounts. I am still seeing some old faces I haven't seen for a long time in game, so it definitely brought some oldies back. The biggest problem is still new player retention though. APB is way too hard for a new solo player to get into that doesn't have any veteran friends to show them the ropes. To a lot of new players APB looks like a dated unoptimized mess with an overwhelming amount of information on the screen at any given point the first time they play it, and the Tutorial doesn't help much. I started in mid 2011 and instantly fell in love with the game because the uniqueness, customization and visuals just grabbed me, because it really did look beautiful back then. Combine that with the fact that it had shooting and movement controls that I was already used to from playing Quake, with some extra little features thrown on like shoulder switching and leaning, and really cool vehicles. Plus, everyone still kinda sucked back then, so you were only being put up against people that had a few months worth of experience max. Now new players have to deal with people who have 8 years of experience, and the game doesn't do much to prevent that.
  11. They're not ignoring it, they probably just haven't gotten to it yet if you only submitted it 5 days ago. Here, this will help you see their progress on tickets.
  12. How? They lowered the price of G1C itself. They made it so $1 USD = 100 G1C, whereas before it cost $1.20 for 99 G1C.
  13. Unfortunately at the moment you won't be able to rip your car. Right now you can really only rip your characters from the login screen because of BattleEye. Battle Eye blocks injectors, so it blocks ninja ripper, and when you remove Battle Eye, it won't let you join a district. I really hope they look into getting Ninja Ripper white listed on BE if possible.
  14. It'd be funny as hell if the civi drivers were given GTA like AI, where the slightest thing causes them to freak out and run down a crowd waiting to cross the road.
  15. This game got ugly. 2018 2011 And during the daytime that gross blue filter makes it look cold and sticky.
  16. This could have been titled better, like "Bring back daily challenges" or something. The current title with all of it's all-cappy-ness sounds super entitled. I would love it if they did start running the daily challenges again though. They were fun.
  17. I think of them as Chemo There's a chance the treatment can kill you, but the intent is to cure.
  18. Thanks :3 but I should probably also mention that this is LO's first online game. Up until now they've only really made kid friendly licensed games for Cartoon Network and Disney, but they bought APB because they wanted to break away from that, and they could see APB was suffering and wanted to help it. They also made it clear that the "kid friendly" thing is not something that they are ever gonna push onto APB. That being said they have absorbed the old G1 staff too, and said that they're trying to get some devs from RealTime Worlds hired as well, so they do have people there that know APB well. They also have a 2nd team in Australia that is working on rebuilding APB entirely from the ground up in Unreal 4 to resolve the spaghetti code issue once and for all. But it'll be a long while before that's ready, right now their main team in the US is fixing the game's infrastructure and getting the 3.5 engine update finished. They had a couple of little fumbles so far like the shotgun balance and a few network issues, but nowhere near G1 level failures. They didn't release a patch that halved the community yet!
  19. I'd even be cool with it if they sorted mods by color tbh. Anything is better than what we have now. Like you said in your post above mine, prioritization really isn't up to us in the first place, so it's good to bring the issues to light no matter what priority they should be. It's all up to Little Orbit. The nice part about their backlog of content is that they can release new items without taking any time away from fixing issues. Matt said that they have a ton of content at the 90% completion mark that G1 had been working on before they went dark. The Showstopper was one of those items. The new player to player trading system is to finally put an end to scamming, so this will benefit stupid players at least, and it'll just make it easier than putting an item on the market for one specific person. It's more of a quality of life improvement and I think that in itself is worth it. It's by no means a major improvement but it's nice at least. It is a very good idea to bring issues like yours to light though, since this company is new to the game so they might not know about some of the long standing issues that have been plaguing APB for years. But they knew that cheaters were a problem, so they implemented BattleEye and it has improved the experience amazingly. I'm not someone who will hackusate someone just because I lost, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but it seriously got baaaaad with the blatants right before LO took over. It's funny though, seeing previously god-tier players now at a slightly above average skill level. Anyway, I agree with pretty much everything you said in the first post, these are some big issues that should be looked into. Though I think a week for marketplace listings would be a good limit. 1-3 months seems a bit extreme and could probably get really cluttered really quickly. 24 hours is definitely too short though. Welcome back by the way
  20. Well they actually did sell the game to a much better company a few months ago. Little Orbit is in charge GamersFirst now, and they're actually doing stuff. Since they took over in May, they have implemented Battle Eye, so the amount of cheaters has been severely reduced. And they added a new gun. They've also made a bunch of improvements to the game's network. Right now they're working on adding a trade system which is in the QA testing stage now, the engine upgrade, new game modes, and a new car. Matt Scott, the new CEO says that G1 had a ton of content at the 90% completion mark, so after the EU he says they'll be able to put out new content fairly quickly. Best of all, they actually seem to care about the game and community. Yeah the changes to shotguns were a bit too extreme, but they're working on fixing that right now. Basically they did more in a few months than G1 has done in years.
  21. Nice, looks great! I always love seeing new animations Ah ok, that explains the texture quality. I'll see what I can dig up for ya. I know I have an FBX laying around somewhere that has a buttload of doors and windows.
  22. This all sounds pretty nice for me, especially buffing the speed of Fragile. Currently it's almost useless and as a Quake player I like speed :3 Too bad I still won't be able outrun a Jericho by strafe jumping though.
  23. There ya go, it looks like you're getting the lighting down nicely. All I would suggest for this one is opening the subjects eyes a little more so it doesn't look like he's squinting, but not too far to make him look bug-eyed, and to up the texture resolution for the back wall/window, and on the bricks. I have a bunch of APB textures if you want some. Edit: *Fedora man releases swarm of cards*
  24. To be honest, it's APB, so anything can go wrong. A few years ago, the removal of the 4th of July event caused the mods on the preset Birth Racing Vegas 4x4 to be swapped out... Basically changing one little thing can cause a whole lot of unintended changes as a side effect. One year during an event (I think it was Easter) The OPGL's rate of fire, and mag size stats were accidentally swapped with the SHAW... So it's very possible that it just has the wrong description to say that it's Armas Only, or it could be that it has the wrong tag set for whether it's tradable or not. Either way, a tradable, Armas only vehicle unobtainable.
  25. Anything that you pay real money for is untradable, other than Legendary weapons. So that means that you can't buy a tradable G24 from Armas, and if you've seen one on the marketplace it's one that a player unlocked through progression. You cannot trade any Armas variant of the Vegas. If it says that an Armas only version is tradable, that's a bug. Only ones bought with in-game currency can be traded.
