This could be really fun. I like the idea of car spawners being deployables that make the vehicle too heavy to move. I'm imagining these points going from the east end of Waterfront to the west end since it's such a long and narrow district, it'd make for a great path of capture points.

ReCreating APB Vehicle Audio

Nice! It's hard to believe just how much G1 broke. I mean it's not 100% their fault that the game is spaghetti, and every change changes something unintended without fail, but still. It's crazy to think of all the things in the game that just don't work correctly anymore. All vehicles just seem quieter in the current game than in RTW, and there's certain cars that just sounded better back then. The Vegas is a good example of that. It used to sound throaty and powerful, then they slowed down the sound around the time the 4x4 was implemented and made it sound like it's always about stall. If I remember right, the Kurai used to sound a lot more powerful too. -

Gotta agree, watching console players insult each other is insanely cringey. On top of that, if they have any Armas weapon they'll be called P2W. They brag about their hours played, then when someone does the same they call them a no-life. It's hard to say this but in general the PC community seems WAY more mature than the consoles. Even arguments in the PC Social District are more coherent than the social arguments on console. Sure we have our fair share of stupid people on PC, but consoles blow us out of the water in that regard. -

Oh hey that was you? I remember you posting the 2nd video on the Nekrova forum a while back. Nice work! -
The funny part is the graphics were better back in 2010 than they are now. And yeah the game will eventually die. Every game does at some point. But I don't see it happening in the near future now that LO has taken over and based on the stuff Matt told us when he talked to the Nekrova team, they have some pretty big and awesome plans for the future.

Apologies for issues today

I don't understand how it can be so hard to just not be a shit bag. What are they even getting out of this? "Duhurhur i maek dem serverz lagee" Like, I don't think anyone here has even had time to have a grudge against LO. I can understand holding one against G1, I mean everyone hated them, but LO has only been here for like 3 or 4 months. How did they fuck you hard enough to want to do this in that time span? Probably just some sad kid who didn't get his account back. -

lol I remember this bug, I thought they fixed it years ago. -
They're not breaking the law by not refunding you. You kinda bought premium and stuff knowing it was APB which is notorious for having poor performance both client and server side. And whether or not it's enjoyable you still have access to the service.

10/10 Loved this album when I was growing up and this was one of my favorite tracks on it Brand new music video for a somewhat old song, the album the song was on came out 4 years ago and they're just now releasing the video for some reason.

Yes it's bannable. Citadel is hosted in Germany, where it is illegal to display a swastika. Also why did you put this in suggestions? -
I don't get this community sometimes
BrandonBranderson replied to Keshi's topic in General Discussion Archive
It's just people with the same mindset as modern SJWs. All they want is something to complain about. They don't care what the end result is, as long as they get attention for complaining. If they find the littlest shred of something they don't necessarily agree with they cling onto that for dear life and try to get as much attention as possible and flat out refuse anyone else's opinion, and in a lot of cases even facts. When these people get all up in arms about little shit like what happened on stream they either don't understand or care that this is exactly what happened with the old G1 team. At first they came in all bright faced and optimistic with frequent communication, the community treated them like shit for little things, it decreased the motivation for the team, they started making bigger mistakes, entire community turned on them, they stopped caring, no communication for months at a time, maybe a content release here and there, used the engine upgrade as an excuse to drag us along and keep supporting the game despite their poor performance, they ran out of funds, fired most of the team and eventually sold the company off to be someone else's problem. I'm happy Androvald and Majik are still here though. Now here comes Little Orbit. They're currently in the bright faced optimistic stage, but they fully acknowledge the fact that there's some serious issues with the game. Let's not let them get to stage 2, which is a lack of motivation due to constant abuse over little mistakes. If Little Orbit takes the same path as the old G1 team did, the same people will be the ones to complain about it. They bought a game that has been broken since it's original release 8 years ago. The game itself is going to be partially to blame for a lot of mistakes that will happen in the future just because of how broken it is. Mistakes are bound to happen, so lets maybe show a little sympathy when they do? To me it seems like buying a car that had a few obvious dents in it with the intention to pop out the dents and get it on the road again, and then finding out the frame is rusted beyond repair, and then everyone hates you. -
The only time of day that has remained consistently pretty over the years We might not have high quality bloom anymore but sunset still looks really nice.

Anime Themed Car

They're low tier, but not awful. Obviously no competition for a Vegas, Rapier, or Jericho but decently quick for a low tier 4 seater and handle really nicely. -
APB looks amazing at ingame night time.
BrandonBranderson replied to Excalibur!'s topic in General Discussion Archive
I don't even know what you're trying to say at this point. All of my settings are at the in-game max and I don't use advanced launcher. This is a fact, not an opinion. Are you getting the images mixed up? The 1st one is from 2018, and the 2nd one is from 2011. I posted them as a comparison to show how shitty the game looks now in 2018 compared to how it looked back in 2011. Jeez, I didn't write the post to attack anyone but you seem to be taking it really personally for some reason. -

BrandonBranderson replied to Excalibur!'s topic in General Discussion Archive
No, my settings aren't wrong. I don't use the advanced launcher anymore and have reinstalled the game (and cleared out my folders of Adv Launcher left overs) since I last used it. This is the in-game maximum setting. -

APB looks like shit at night nowadays. Look how bland and dead this looks. Max settings btw. Compare that to 2011. -
Well, that's kinda what they're doing. They implemented BattleEye and now they're working on fixing the servers. As far as cheaters go I've only come across a few people that were fishy since BE.

I REALLY don't think that's the case with APB. Just because only 20% of people overall have creative talent doesn't mean that only 20% of the APB community has creative talent. That's because the majority of players are brought in by the creative aspects of the game with the promise of an amazing level of customization. Sure, a lot may join for the shooting aspect, but it's not like the entire world's population is playing APB, so that statistic doesn't necessarily correlate to the in-game community. That would be like saying that Call of Duty is popular because everyone wants to join the military. I mean the character customization is what a huge amount of the hype for Black Desert Online came from, and it was the same for APB back in the day.

6/10 The music sounded nice, not something I'd listen to personally though. Here's a pretty damn hard video to find from 1994 by a band that only has 2 music videos in their whole career to begin with.

What version of UE is Xbox and PS4 running on?
BrandonBranderson replied to Seedy's topic in General Discussion Archive
Gotta remember too though that despite it being on Unreal 3.5, APB wasn't designed for consoles, and on top of that consoles have shit tier hardware. -
Not trying to smash hopes and dreams, but they have a separate dev team in Australia, so he may have been visiting them. They're the ones working on the UE4 rewrite while the US team is working on the 3.5 upgrade.
