They purchased a dead game remember? They haven't implemented ANY fixes yet as they are already swamped with mass unbanning review and customer support tickets. They barely put Battle Eye in game. Give them some breathing space. APB was dead... now it's on life support. It has the chance at survival, which is no small miracle. I for one, am grateful, O love this game.

Lixil isn't Tiggs and never will be Tiggs for the simple reason she has no ingame GM authority to abuse. The forums are still the public face of a business that hopes to be profitable and it doesn;t want the public at large to see the whiny, emo posts typical of the APB community ffs. If you want a ffa cry board, host your own independent APBflames forum.

If they lower Armas prices, rollback the fubared threat segregation and reimplement RTW threat-scoring-matchmaking, set BE to actually ban shenanigans (temp bans are my preference given the dubious nature of the population and the risk of false bans), perform the engine upgrade, and add new content: contacts, cloths, maps, clan v clan wars, and a Battle Royale district.... this game will not only come to life.... APB'r the Second Coming will be sweet beyond words and no doubt a huge commercial success for the awesome team at Little Orbit.

Broadcasting bans is a toxic practice. Permanent bans devastates a high cheat playerbase. Thus the only workable solution is temporary bans which kick immediately on detection but only for short, yet increasing duration... first kick 15 min, second kick 30, third kick 1 hr, 4th kick 1 day. This way the game remains intact and playable for those who are in-game as the suspicious, perfect aim characters get kicked. the kicked players haven't lost their accounts and can come back to play... and the incorrigibles will simply find themselves kicked constantly until they learn how to behave. While not a perfect solution, it may be the ONLY solution for a game like this whose population largely consists of the unbanned...

I think this is why experienced player GMs need to be in-game.

True. The problem isn't about Golds in Bronze, it's that for such a small population, threat segregation doesn't work at all. They need to restore the original Threat, scoring, matchmaking system that was in RTW version so EVERYBODY can play based on actual long-term predictions of ability.

It's getting pretty bad I must say, and I also wont invest in premium at least until BE starts doing it's intended job. That said, losing if game population is such a problem, then temp bans are the best solution.

This is why we need GMs in-game and BE to actually do it's thing... and ofc investigate linked accounts and do the needful. this game is far too easy to cheat in, to make wads of in-game cash and buy/trade/scam legendaries and sell for irl money not to be monitored by the new Owners.

This is what happens to us when we play APB.

I don't know why a game company wouldn't hire private IT and detectives to get this guy and have him arrested for obstructing their business revenues because, yeah... obsessive is the word and this will not stop unless he's forced to pay for the crime.

This is seriously why we need GMs, what really demoralized the playerbase and encouraged so many skilled and dedicated players to start cheating was... well cheaters went unpunished and dominated the game... and then they got the best items and rich doing it so, yeah. A game company needs to be attentive to these issues because they're sore spots in the community and a cause for a lot of the rage.

I use AMD. I'm not a great player but I manage okay. I built my rig mostly for video editing so AMD is the best choice for my needs and my budget.

Wow that's just nuts. At the end of the day it's only a game not real life.

Let's be real, a forum is certainly full of gripes, complaints, and occasional rage because of unfair things that happen in game and to the game. I made this account after I was forum banned for expressing an opinion about G1 so I can relate. That's expected. But forums are still the public face of a business which is hoping to attract new customers. We are guests here... and they have reasonable rules. If you want to have no holds barred and unsupervised trolling, make an APB fan discussion on Reddit... or one of those personal websites like APBflames. I have followed a lot of the threads that got "cleaned" and let's face it, people get angry and start becoming abusive. That's human nature but mods are hired to delete that stuff. Come on now. iodyne_ you're Willow? Welcome back babe. So sorry for how you got unjustly targeted and banned for simply playing the game. If anyone has a right to be untrusting of a company it's you. but I really think our whole community is very jaded due to past corruption but I don';t think that's happening here.

LO needs to implement a fair and safe in-game trading system like other games have so we don't have ridiculous rip-offs... and players poor enough who can't afford the rip-off taxes charged by the in-game market which is why they risk getting scammed in the first place. Punishing players who were victims of a rip-off and allowing the thieves to get away with the goods is even more stupid than 5000 dubious tickets... But yes you're right, because fake tickets would potentially become just another scam.

Uh... let them set their trap... those too dense to play by the rules will lose their miraculous unbanned opportunity. LO is generous, they want to restore the game and revive the population. They have NOT yet put their system to work because they want to be extra cautious setting it up that the detections are based on actual cheats... LO is generous, but they are not stupid. their plan is for a FAIR game... and a very tight one. Not only are they fine tuning both a client and server side anticheat... they are planning an Unreal Engine upgrade and eventually to better police those files vulnerable to tampering. We're not there yet... but the plan is marvelous, better than we could hope for from a new company. LO is a dream come true, but yes... things aren't fixed... yet.

What I understand is LO is fine tuning both a server side and client side anticheat to AVOID having technology ban legit but exceptional players so they don't have to apologize for false banwaves and do mass unbanning again. They are also committed to not providing the toxic environment G1 created by announcing bans or humiliating players who they may decide didn't cheat after all, or who they want to give a chance to... or who they may sadly perma ban. Basically that part of the administration is between the individual player and the company and none of our business. Look, they have a strat, they invested in a broken game with a very demoralized salty playerbase... and the good news is they are fixing it... but the fix will take some time to deliver. Enjoy that we have a game which didn't die, and hope. Right now, sure the same problems in-game are still there, they haven't been fixed... yet. But they will be... there's a plan, a smart company, and hope.

Guess someone didn't get unbanned

Some MMO's have those training dummies where you can test how your weapon actually holds up, how long it takes to "kill" someone based on your weapon. It would be sweet to have training dummies which approximate player health /w various mods, like clotting 2, 3, and Kev etc... so we can see precisely how our weapons work. Nades should work on them so we can practice our leet noobie skillz in social, as well as rent guns to try them out before we buy.
