  1. Also, how hard would it be to implement detection for those who *toggle and become amazing as the game is ending... over time this would be a suspicious pattern that could lead to a temp kick as well. It's just an idea, and I think a good one with a little tweaking. But ffs... perma bans are fail on so many levels. G1 did it basically hoping all those banned would buy their stuff again. isn't that idiotic? Esp when cheaters could make a lot of in-game cash and buy the best legendaries.
  2. " because they're too high above the average?" While I know this is subjective, it really is quantifiable. Basically NO ONE should have the unqualified right to ROFLsh*tstomp the general population of players. Even above cheating, this griefer mentality is what has made APB so toxic and depleted the playerbase. But in any case, a special no rules district could be created where, sure... no limits. But on ordinary servers, with ordinary players... sometimes enough is enough. Why should the best (legit) players... rack up amazing kill streaks, while the general playerbase simply racks up amazing death streaks? While theat may serve a few guys egos... it devastates the ordinary, premium paying population... pushing the game to bankruptcy. So you're complaining if you play so well you get flagged, and continue playing so amazing that eventually you get kicked for a few minutes? Because you could not continue to ROFLsh*tstomp everybody? So we're talking perspective here. I don't mean ordinary good players... I mean what essentially amounts to either superhuman or griefing play styles. Yes, deserve an immediate but temporary kick, if for nothing else, to give a breather to the rest of the playerbase.. which by this system hopefully would GROW. We need NEW trainees and bronzies... and not to have them preyed upon by the rudest, ugliest griefers ever to visit a video game. Either that or go to a higher threat district and play equals. A shawcopter, such as Goat was never playing gently though... and most assuredly never played legit. Most closets play legit and then toggle when they're losing. Honest, in my experience, this was easier to counter than the MrEpicGoat shawcopter types. But here's the thing... YOU CANT STOP THE CHEATERS. So why try? They just REROLL and come right back. Find a DIFFERENT system.
  3. Look, no one likes cheaters. But there is no possible way cheating can be stopped. Not in a FTP game where IP bans can be evaded, and new reroll accounts made endlessly and instantly. Just give up. You cannot punish them. You cannot ban them permanently. So stop trying and wasting resources and ensnaring the innocent players with settings that actually work. STOP. Permanent bans are a huge failure and have nearly destroyed this game and turned it into a vicious, ugly, hateful toxic community who can't wait to destroy more accounts. We just need a fair and instant solution. Temporary kicks for suspicious players who exceed the normal parameter settings for a district. And I don't mean someone who gets, what 15 kills or even 28 kills this one time. But someone BLATANT who far exceeds the norm repeatedly. Should get a kick because... either he's too good for school and needs to play in a higher skill district... or he's not human and is using some automation. Either way, the kicks would be that very day and not months later... so the average players get a break. And the above average players should still be beneath the radar... but those too brilliant amazing god-tier players... can get a few minutes time off. And if they are so excellent, they can create their own special platinum district or tone down their cheats, erhm... fantasticness.
  4. 1. they didnt play gently 2. as long as you didnt go full blatant Can you see the contradiction? Once we had the massive, what 16,000+ bans... the cheaters went full blatant, and closeting (playing gently) stopped being a thing.
  5. But you don't seem to get that banning cheaters doesn;t work when they can reroll, and steamroll the population making exorbitant cash to just buy the best legendaries and rinse repeat on new trainee accounts. Not only does banning FAIL to stop the hacking... it enrages the hacker population causing MORE hacking. And not only that, it greatly diminishes the population. The time I'm talking about... when APB had a &disputed* large amount of closet accounts... and big clans and talented streamers... they did not WANT to lose their hard-earned reputations or investments and thus played gently, and more often then not legit... to AVOID a ban. Well once mad bans happened, people didn't care about reputation and so it degenerated to what we have now. But in the closet days we had a game with 3 million active accounts so... yeah. We need 1. fairness, and immediate kicks force people to rethink... 1. turn off cheats (if cheating) or 2. play in a higher threat, greater skilled district (if legit but too good( and 3... it PRESERVES the population... which in APB has hemorrhaged into near extinction under G1. I don't mean *do better* as in play better. I mean *do better* as in not get KICKED. Why should golds be squashing bronzes in a bronze district? If they get kicked either they tone down their playstyle to be with friends, or they up their ante and play with equals.
  6. No. A legit player who is "too good" for the district average will CLEARLY do better in a higher skilled district, like silver or gold. As you note i mentioned by example playing too good for BRONZE. Yes and THIS will end the dethreating since, if you play too well, you get kicked.... and therefore should play in a "harder" district.
  7. Instant Temp Kicks for suspicious players for a brief cooling off is the solution!~ What LO NEEDS to do is for every suspicious player flagged... give them an immediate temp kick from game, and a 15-30 min cooling off time. if they are legit... they must be playing too good for the district average in which they entered. If they are not legit, everytime their program gets them kicked, which should be frequent enough to be comical, they might just turn the dam thing off. In any event, BANS have FAILED. Esp since they just rage reroll instantly... so immediate temp kicks are the solution. the account remains intact, so no reason to rage or even make a new account since... in a short time, you can log back in what's the point? Back in the day, where there were *disputed* a large number of closets... the game was actually good, because cheaters tried very hard to stay under the radar, and games were doable against them if you had some skill. Even if we can just return to that, we'll have our game back. It was this perma-ban witch hunt that destroyed the morale of the population, destroyed the clans, destroyed reputations of the streamers who actually were advertising the game, etc. Plus temp kicks free LO from the significant manpower and time investment of manual review process. Just bring on temp kicks for mischief. I'd much rather see someone with 17 kills in bronze get a temp kick out of mission for playing too good, and still able to log back in after a few minute, then wait months and months and perhaps a year for some blatant rager to get perma banned and reroll in 1 minute.
  8. It's a new company that has no legal obligation for the issues of the first. They did get something... they got unbanned, which under G1 would not have been possible. We don't need to burden LO with debt or obligation, we need to invest in their fresh start so our game can continue and thrive guys. Come on.
  9. Let's be honest, LO has invested in and inherited a MESS. Setting up an affordable and workable PLAN has not got to be easy. My guess is APB won't be profitable for a little while. But it does have a chance at being a great long-term investment and quite profitable if they invest in it properly and have the resources to fix what horrible mismanagement has created. There's simply no way any company could buy this game and have it fixed to "walk through big gates" anytime soon. It's like an Indie crowdfunded alpha right now. Nothing BUT hope and promise. It's going to take the investment and staff that LO has working with devs and designers to accomplish anything... and all this while the psychotic poops keep ddosing the servers... as usual. They are a company which just acquired a diamond in a turd. Right now it's a turd. Tomorrow it's a turd. Next week, month it's a turd. Get the picture? But behind the scenes is a company which has a chance to repair the turdiness and polish the diamond. So moderate your expectations to align with reality, imo.
  10. Tbh people have loved and supported this game for years and didn't really turn on G1 until long after G1 had turned on itself, firing Neume, releasing Omochabox and Revoemag and basically letting go of the Reloaded staff not long after we got our new contacts. The game pretty much went south after that and stooped lower and lower and... like wooo low. yeah... and that's when the community that loved this game hated what was not being done for it... all we had were new joker boxes and a ridiculous amount of FF bans that pretty much devastated the playerbase and destroyed the clans. So, it's true LO is kinda slow to make any footprint at all in this game, other than raise our hopes... but if they did nothing, sure the players would be angry, because we have expectation. But I doubt people would hate LO the way they hated what G1 through bitter negligence did. A company would have to go far out of it's way to earn that kind of bad reputation. Personally I think the game plan LO has is very doable and promising... a lot will change once BE is in place, some GMs are in-game, some events are planned, Armas prices are adjusted, and temp bans are in place to reduce the bad behavior, cheating, and yet not create the vindictiveness that led to rage hacking non-stop rerolls that plagued our game. I think the hope is so high right now, that LO would literally have to just never do anything for us to turn on them. We want them to succeed and they want to succeed. It's a wonderful partnership.
  11. Sorry if I was misleading. When I began to have trouble logging into the game I thought LO had patched something to make a change. What had happened was I flashed my motherboard bios, and apparently the latest Agesa patch for the AMD MB is not very stable with some older games. So after about a week of fiddling, tweaking, flashing to the beta bios, etc. I wanted to share that what had worked, and I believe will also help those affected who use AMD Ryzen processors will be to flash their Motherboard bios to the Bridge update patch, which is an older, interim patch before the unstable, newer agesa patches. Using the bridge bios worked like a charm I have no issues at all either logging in to APB or playing. Thanks for your suggestions and help as well Anudureju, I know English isn't your first language either but you do a good job of explaining and suggesting things.
  12. You're right, and this is the fix. A few days ago I flashed my bios and the problems started. I couldnt log in, but when I flashed to the beta bios, I was able to play. however, after a couple days I could log in but would get kicked. So taking your comment about the instability of the Agesa firmware updates, reflashed my bios down to the bridge bios, below the latest agesa patch and then I was able to log in and play just fine. Many thanks.
  13. I built my PC last year. APB has worked flawlessly since I built it, never had any issue with it, until last week after LO did their patch or whatever. It could be the firmware, it could be anything. It's affecting a few people though who seem to all share similar symptoms. I do wish LO tech support would comment that they are at least looking into it.
  14. What gives LO? For YEARS I have played this game just fine. While it was BROKEN I played it just fine. I lived through PB and FF and played to my hearts content with NO ISSUE. Suddenly you bought the game, ran 1 patch, and since last week I can no longer even play. It seems a few people here are having the same kind of issues with no response from tech support. I know it's the weekend, but other players have gotten responses. Now I have reflashed my computer bios... 3x. I have uninstalled and reinstalled APB 3x. I have updated my video drivers, and my motherboard drivers and my CPU drivers and my sound card drivers. Everything works... in every other game. These are the symptoms: At first I could not even log in at all, the loading screen went on endless fruitloops. That seems to have resolved. Although it's touchy, meaning if I click while the loading movie plays, the game crashes to deslktop or I get the mouse cursor on endless spin until it says the game is no longer responsive. When I am able to log in, all seems well, textures, visual... although yesterday I had horribad lag. So bad I could literally not move. The latency was fluctuated between 6 and 1000. All this and I live in CA, USA, fairly close to the servers. I was warping, freezing, stuttering... then I was kicked and got a kick msg I could not read cos the screen froze before it printed and the game closed and crashed to desktop. I actually wondered if I had gotten banned for unplayability no fault of my own as I have never been banned in any game in my life and played APB for about 6 years. But alas I was able to log in again, and somehow the horribad lag was gone, and the latency seemed stable. But I was randomly getting kicked out of game mid-mission. I finally managed to complete 1 mission, but got kicked to desktop almost immediately after it was over. If I log into social, I run around a bit and instantly I'm kicked. This was how I spent my entire weekend, hours and hours doing so many things to tweak and fix this, and I give up. Unless your tech team comes up with a solution, I guess I can no longer play APB, and I had so looked forward to the games revival. I just glad I didn't go and buy premium.... lol that would have been a sad joke. You can help me or you can't, guess that's about all it amounts to. After this weekend, I'm very tired of trying to play. My specs: AMD CPU Ryzen 7 1700, overclocked to 3.4 Ghz, 16 GB 3200 ram, Asrock AB350M Pro4, Windows 10 64 bit I played this game perfectly through thick and thin... until last week when you guys did whatever you did. I've read there's some incompatibility between BattleEye and AMD Ryzen CPU's in which case it just might be game over for me.
  15. I have CCleaner and Glary and have run them, that isn't my problem.

    Support Help....

Well, just sayin if someone hacked an account... or bought an account they would have the name and could easily get a cheap fake id with photo and all... but if you have the PW and all... and there's only so many email providers... I mean why is it so hard to figure out or try out your emails? See that's weird too since most people keep their emails for years but change their PW's frequently. So as a security precaution just a photo id with a name, provided as an email picture isn't much. Maybe show them a bank statement with the purchase amount and dates and proof payment was made to G1.
  17. A lot of people who have been playing are not able to play now. My suspicion is that it revolves around AMD CPUs and the patching implementation of BattleEye. I could be wrong but a lot of people suddenly having major issues logging in and getting kicked are the ones using AMD processors.
  18. I've been playing this game fine for years and even up until last week was playing without a hitch. Suddenly I couldn't log in at all... after hours of tweaks I managed to log in, but to horribad lag and latency spikes up to 1000. Then after some more tweaking I could log in, and the latency seemed stable... but at random times even mid-mission would suddenly be kicked out of the game. this happened several times. My specs: AMD 7 1700 oc to 3500, 16 GB Ram, AsRock AB350M Pro4, WD Black 7200 RPM 2 TB HD, Nvidia 1050Ti, Windows 10 64.
  19. I don't know if I have the same problem as you, but I've been trying to play this game for several hours now. A few times I got the 3-D alpha theading error. so I downloaded the latest video card drivers, Nvidia 1050Ti, a few times. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I downloaded and tried the Advanced APB launcher and was kicked, and uninstalled that and ran repair on the game a few times. So far I can log into the game. For awhile I was lagging so hard my latency was up to 1000. Now I can log in and latency is normal, but as soon as I join a mission, with no warning at all I'm kicked from the game so... can't play. Whatever LO has done to the game is sad because, just a couple of days ago I was logging in and playing just fine... for hours. I can't be the only one who can no longer play. I've even flashed my bios and got it to work yesterday but... no more. AMD Ryzen 7-1700 CPU.
  20. Perfect, because what G1 did was hire some random GMs who never played the game who overreacted to little stuff... banning people for bad words in district... while at the same time griefers were obstructing missions in front of their face. This way, long-term community members who have the insight and discretion for what actually constitutes bad behavior in-game can be in a position to report that appropriately. Absolute thumbs up!~
  21. I had the same exact problem start yesterday, right after I flashed my MB Bios. I too am running a Ryzen 7 1700 rig. I read through all the comments and found the easiest and simplest solution. My MB manufacturer, Asrock has a new Beta Bios out: version 4.82 which addresses compatibility with some Nvidia cards. So instead of flashing down to a lower BIOS, I simply flashed up to the beta Bios and now I'm playing APB again with no apparent log in issues.
  22. If they banned YOU it would be best for the game. We are trying to REVIVE a nearly DEAD game which suffered the insanity of losing the ENTIRE playerbase due to false, mistaken, absurd and stupid BANS. Little Orbit is planning to revise the entire banning situation with temp kicks... GET IT? Once they have battleEye up and running they won't need nerds like you trying to redo the mistakes of G1 trying to BAN the playerbase... for playing BETTER. We need our playerbase BACK and quick temp kicks for suspicious behavior based on heuristics. We do NOT need the playerbase policing itself. Let Little Orbit set up their system, a better anticheat... a more reasonable and playerbase forgiving kick system... and no more G1 silver closet investigators.
  23. He was prolly FFbanned ofc. Tiggs was very thorough. He disappeared about the time she came onboard.
