  1. When In started playing APB just after it joined Steam, there were 3 million active accounts. For a couple of years there were several thousand active accounts and dozens of districts to join (before Threat Segregation threw the first huge wrench into population).. I have no doubt whatsoever, LO is not advertising this mess yet because the product isn't ready.... but once they;ve implemented the kind of repairs and changes on their road map... with a little proper advertising, a new re-release so to speak.... esp on a platform like Steam... this game has a great chance of being very profitable and paying for itself.
  2. So like it's been 2 months... since LO bought a BROKEN game... aaaaaannnnnnnddddd people came back because of the HOPE this game is no longer dead... not because anything has been fixed yet. Pretty sure a lot of the issues are going to take some intensive effort to fix, and will require the unifying of the software to Unreal Engine 3.5 and then upgraded to 4.0. And seeing that realistically that's probably a good year from now... can't you just be patient? LO didn't break this game, G1 did, all they have done is thrown APB a liferaft and given us a roadmap of plans for a fix. I spend a little money again because I love this game and I want to actively support the people who are making a realistic plan to save it from doom and implement the fixes it needs... and it's going to need a lot of them, so, if we the loyal playerbase don't support this project, then for sure it will die. No one is supporting G1's fake hype as the game was dying anymore. Now we're supporting the plan for a few major surgery's to save APB's "life." Who knows maybe it will become Fraken-APB... but I'd rather have this game to play sometimes then not... so I support LO and buy a few things I like from Armas.
  3. I do. Anyone can also check those socks and other worthless items on marketplace for sale for 2-3 million as a way people buy in-game cash for irl money.
  4. Also, as for making more cash working at McDonald's, whats the point? What do the DDoSers get out of borking the servers? These are just examples of how people push the envelope to break the game's intention. And so I addressed a variety of problems, like scammers, cheaters who move cash and legendaries thru several accounts and or game the system to make money by borking the game rather than playing fairly and investing in it... but for some people the denial runs deep. Ok, np. buy 60 legendaries and sell them from a third party company for irl cash. It's cool, making less cash than working at McDonald's... it's also a violation of the terms of service and hurts the game on so many levels... shame you can't see that.
  5. It's a for example. But generally speaking, 200 million is an unusual amount I've played for 6 yrs or so and I own 2 legendaries. I know there's some people who got kinda lucky... but someone wealthy enough to own 60 legendaries is sketchy. But that's just me.
  6. With say 200 million on one account, someone could buy what are volcanos, ursus, condors going for these days? 2.5 to 3 mill? And what are Yukons going for? 4-5 mill? So say with 200 mill one account could purchase like 50-60 top demand legendaries... Just one account... and these are selling on independent sites for $20-30 USD. So just one account lowballing can make, say: $1300-1500 USD. Not to mention what they make on straight up scamming weapons that cost them nothing, and then deleting the accounts after passing the weapons thru several new accounts. It's not like "some random player" made some small change... but rather it's businesses which actually rake in millions a year exploiting like this on several game platforms. Sometimes these businesses simply make a small percentage from every sale... And sometimes they can't be prosecuted because they are in someplace like China. And then there are the businesses which "sell" APB cash and you see players putting up a sock in market for like 3 million. So it's a huge scam system and the poor design of APB allowed it, and the greed of G1's endless gambling boxes giving out free premium and legendaries to sometimes hackers, exploiters, credit card thieves, etc created a little side business for some disreputable types who never even put an actual dollar into the game, but parasitically sucked it dry. And this is what they call APB's "economy."
  7. The answer to every problem is ALWAYS MORE SALES!~ It would help pay for those new servers!~ Come on LO.
  8. When LO finds who the hacker ddosing the servers is... Let's all throw our nades, and set our Osmaws, Volcanos, and OPGL's at his face.
  9. There's only a few people who have this issue, and it's a technical issue, going to be based on the person's computer set-up, everyone is different. I have an AMD, for example. BE is set to temp kick for "suspicious" programs, that's why it does that. LO is aware, sometimes innocent programs are accidentally flagged, that's why it's a "temp" kick but you could try and work with support. I tried a few player recommendations on the technical section of the forum and actually found reflashing my motherboard bios to a lower version solved the AMD incompatibility issue, but other people's issues could be different.
  10. Also, I use an AMD, and when BE was first implemented I got kicked constantly. Turns out I had to re-flash my motherboard bios to a lower version, the gateway bios as there's some incompatibility. Using the lower version gate bios, I have been able to enter the game and not get disconnected at all, except for the occasional server crashes and whatnot.
  11. BE detects something, it's set to temp kick. My recommendation is work /w support to find out what the troublesome program/process could be or you could work /w it manually and shut off processes until you make a determination what program/process is setting off BE.
  12. True cheater accounts make a lot of in-game cash via their cheats and a consistent high score, buy mods, pass them to a new account, delete and rinse repeat until they actually have several million in-game, and most long-term cheaters are extraordinarily rich, some even having 200 million... and owning, across several accounts, several legendary guns... If you note the truly suspicious probable cheaters are on low reroll accounts and using legendary weapons. So this is a huge flaw in the game design where a person can cheat and succeed extraordinarily well... and then make irl cash by selling off those tradeable legendaries. A lot of scams are associated with this wealth acquisition since cheater accounts really have no scruples and no loyalty or love for the game and playerbase. I think LO needs to rethink the whole broken G1 system... One of the reasons people do things is because they can and the system itself is catering to those misdeeds.
  13. It's a killing game, and sometimes players get a bit trigger happy whilst waiting. We should be able to float on the boats yea. Boat Racing Social District!@~
  14. I'm actually thrilled your clan is back and is alive and well. I'm also sorry your met up with a griefer, and I hope proper action is taken. My post was just a bit of humor over the irony of the tuff-boy gives ya grief clan trying to report a griefer. Come on, can't ya appreciate the irony?
  15. I saw what you did there. You made a funny! Engine Upgrade 2014.
  16. Clan: Fuckboy Industries. Wants to report a griefer. Awww.
  17. Darn it, I should have screenshotted the match I had in Citadel against 2 trainee suspected cheaters who went who each racked up 14 and 15 kills against me and a lil bronzie. It weren't pretty since rerolling a new account to do shenanigans is still a thing. (Btw reason for the suspicion is their sniper range stars sometimes shot thru walls... often as soon as your head peaked out, exited a car, or was somewhere that came immediately into range. And boy dat range...) All I could say in District was: "Where are the GM's?" Who we hope will one day be on the districts to have a look or even spectate especially suspicious new low level reroll characters on throw-away accounts. your team match up looked more fair then some tbh, doesn't mean you didn't have a camped obj though. I have seen full gold teams match versus a low silver and a trainee before. Funny thing is, the wild card trainee's are often the practice cheat or shenanigans accounts... and sometimes they get 29 kills in a match, jus sayin it's kinda bad, but it's been bad for a long time... at least I'm optimistic there's a future fix. I think of it as playing an Alpha game right now... and don't take it too seriously. LO bought a borked and broken game. That's what we're playing... on potato servers even. But... it won't always be this bad. in fact it has the potential to be amazing. that's why I'm here, for APB: Reborn. And even though some missions are so unfair they make you groan... game is still fun sometimes.
  18. I propose that LO keep all G1 and G1c pricing the same... but implement permanent or frequent SALES as a form of adjustment. a semi-permanent 50-75% off sale and I'd buy every gun ;D
  19. ofc, but when the files themselves are locked, alterations in them are easier to detect... and should result in an instant temp kick. No one can eliminate cheating, but it can be massively reduced and that's something to celebrate.
